I could tell you once you have the draft. The current proposal you've written out would get you the support of gun carrying folk, but not of that many lobbyists. After all, their income depends on the gun debate, and your amendment would pretty much ban that gun debate in any meaningful way. So, you'd be snatching the bread from under the noses of the lobbyists. Not something they'd want.
Now, your bill is probably not going to pass anyway, so they might support it to show something to the public. I'd suggest you meet up with the Chief Justice, he would be able to help you a lot if you don't want to pass a law, but still want that gun protection. The legal route is an option.
Ill email the Chief Justice the bill too and you can suggest a meet up, or phone call or whatever works.
