It's likely a raccoon or skunk. Cougars are usually, though not always, timid of human inhabited areas.

At least it is not a skunk (we hope).

Cougars?
Pensei que os leões-da-montanha da América do Norte fossem a mesma coisa que a onça-parda do Brasil - pelo menos é o que a Wikipédia anglófona diz -, e que portanto fossem perigosos.

It was interesting to travel throughout the US. You see a side of thks country many tourists don't get to see. But it feels tedious, the constant driving. And if the company is as fucked as my husband's employer was, it gets tough.

The company I work for now is pretty good about getting me home, and are better than average about the amount of home time.

Yeah. And they've made themselves scarce. The husband says he hasn't seen one since he was a little kid. But lately, you can sometimes hear them.
I wonder if it's wild turkey. There are a lot around and they're quite big.

Of course. I just hope I won't give the impression I'm there for the food. It'll certainly look that way.Lies and Ignorance wrote:My seasonal affective disorder is kicking in. Let's celebrate!

It's true, I had a recent realization about how little time I've spent with family lately and it made me all manner of sad, and it made me wish to cancel my previous plan of spending Christmas on an island out in nowhere.Gallade wrote:Love, cake, wine and banter. No greater meaning to life (〜^∇^)〜

With friends, obviously. Not alone. That'd be silly.

I'm looking forward to heading home for the holidays, too. Now me, I'm after the free food. Nngh, ham and turkey.
