Running a group that routinely kills people for no discernible reason will be difficult. The police force is highly competent, and is supplemented by two extremely powerful and equally competent groups of individuals (Cultists and Conservators). You may want to try something different to start with--maybe bring them in later for use in a story, so that you'll have something to fall back on if you lose them?

Character Unique Skills(if any): Gregory is intelligent. Extremely so, though his intelligence is limited often to his hobbies and interests. Things he latches on to and enjoys to think about are things he has an encyclopaedic knowledge of.

Character Weaknesses/Flaws: Gregory is antisocial. He has the ability to function perfectly well in society, though is nevertheless alienated and sees himself outside of any system. Gregory is an addict.

Character Background/Biography: Gregory was born in Portland, Oregon on March 20. In high school he was first introduced to narcotics, namely heroin. He attended MIT for a PhD in theoretical physics. For a time, he worked at the Ugelstad Laboratory in Norway because of his knowledge of chemistry. While on a research trip to West Bank, his plane was hijacked by terrorists. Along with several other passengers, Gregory fought the terrorists, bringing the plane down near Bethlehem. He survived and was treated for his injuries in a hospital in an Israeli hospital.

He returned to the United States to work for a former professor at MIT in a research project concerning dark matter and black hole thermodynamics. While the project was put on hold, he taught for a semester at MIT, where he met his wife Elizabeth. They dated for one year before getting married. His heroin usage spiralled out of control while resuming working on his dark matter project. Around the same time, Elizabeth began sleeping with Gregory's cousin, a rising political star. The discovery led to the burning of his wife's clothes and personal items in a large bonfire of Hell's fury. The bonfire led to divorce, as bonfires often do. He left town looking for another job.

Why the character is in Bielefeld/Occupation: He plans to continue his research on dark matter independently, along with other research that comes his way.

Gregory Palmer is an antisocial curmudgeon. He has a brilliant mind, but is obsessive and self-destructive in most aspects. He is able to operate in society and function, yet he has determined that to avoid further sadness he has to separate himself from others. His biggest flaw is his addiction, which severely affects his personality. He likes hookers and beer pong. He hates authority figures and children.

Khan doesn't need to vouch. You have mad RP skills.

Cer didn't say much about your app other than it was really nicely done, and he wasn't extremely worried about points. Plunk some down in theoretical physics just to set him apart from the average person. Cer wanted to know if the character's desire to research dark matter would be hindered by meeting a character who can form and control it at will.

This world is very fleshed out. I'm kind of impressed.

In the meantime, he mostly just sits around and easily wins the adoration of foreign masses, being a surprisingly useful tool in Cerril's diplomatic efforts.

Why the character is in Bielefeld/Occupation:
To both assist in Cerril's diplomatic efforts, to view the world outside of his crib, and because he misses his father.

He has a strange habit of blinking quickly out of his Harry Potter style glasses. While not an ugly man, he's certainly not attractive. Think Walter White from Breaking Bad with more hair.

Hmm. I'm not very good at just giving an RP sample out of nowhere with nowhere to start

I looked through your RP posts and you do well, but I think Cer's concern is how you would play a wolf and still fit in with the setting. The hardest thing for people to grasp (for whatever reason) is that we're not a chat location thread. Players are expected to participate in stories rather than have their characters just hang out or hide. There aren't too many things for a wolf to do. Fvaar's character is able to telepathically communicate which helps Nick to interact. Cer was looking to see how you run him because his ability to interact with other players is integral to how PL works. A link to prior RP with him would be helpful.

PL is an extremely defined setting. Someone applying to play a villain will need to have a strong working knowledge of the setting because we've had a rash of high-quality players put us through our paces. The RP evolved over time to meet those challenges. You'd need to an expert level player to run a villain in PL. Cer will accept nothing less than that. Anything less than expert is trifling and the CoOPs will have to spend the majority of their time telling you to redact posts because "there's a stap for that".

Islam forbid lesbian and gay couples

Bielefeld does not. Bielefeld does allow for religious freedom. The Catholic church, other Christian denominations, Muslims and other faiths are not required to marry gays or lesbians. Those groups' opinions carry absolutely no weight outside of their religious groups.

Religious laws/tenets only go as far as the members of that faith. Muslims (like all the other groups) don't demand their non-Muslim neighbors adhere to their laws. Sharia law is trumped by Bielefeld law. An unscrupulous Imam preaching intolerance and encouraging violence might just vanish in the middle of the night, just as easily as a gay rights activist who happens to be planning to blow up the city park. That doesn't mean that a player can't cause trouble. It does mean that you need to disclose your plans to the OP prior to carrying them out.

I need to clarify for those newer and new people: Bielefeld has zero tolerance for trifling IC bullshit because Cer has little tolerance for bullshit in general. Live out your violent fantasies elsewhere because you aren't going to get away with murdering NPCs, blowing up stuff or being an evil badass in PL.

The Fairy Grove. I was fine with a grove that has "fairies". I was thinking along the lines of pixies or something small and not Fae. I will state this again: noting survived the Drone Invasion EXCEPT one building and a gun and a few frazzled gods. Nothing, people. It was wiped out in an epic battle which built over a period of months. The end result was a complete game reset. After that game reset, the continent was rebuilt, atom by atom, by a highly advanced technology. There are no graves. There are no latent things left over. The Drones and the Nifid sterilized the setting. Anything in that grove would have been destroyed by the Drones. Anything remaining would have been maliciously and sadistically wiped out by the Nifid.

Per Cer:

How potent are the Fae? Take a look at EH. Night plays them correctly. They are powerful mother fuckers who can easily tear apart reality and destroy the universe. Min, by virtue of his actions in RP throughout P2TM and his diligence in finding balance as an OP in his own game, has earned the right to play something so potent. I know that he won't be rash and that he'll consult me with full disclosure should he wish to bring something Fae into the game.

Carly's character is Fae-esk in that it has abilities which might be seen as Fae however it isn't associated with the Fae themselves according to the application. Dan is Fae. Min's canon trumps.

Can there be a grove? Yes. Min must give the nod and only Min can bring Fae in. Carly's idea was good but it's unfair to Min to introduce something on a spur of the moment without his approval. In any matter regarding Fae, Min's precedence remains. //

This is a link to my first post with Wolfgang. He interacts with BranRiech's character for a little while until the OP kind of left and we got stuck, basically.

I figure he could be involved with stuff simply by involving himself with it. Like, if there's a big, mission, he can tag along, and he can be helpful, because he can fight, or use his senses and whatnot.

I can make a second character, if the concern is me not being able to do enough. Even though I don't really think that's a concern. I kind of wanted to make a second one, anyway.
