"Oh, well in that case," He stated as he reached in the bin, "I'll take the goddess." He then pulled out Swith with both of his hands as if she weighed nothing. He temporarily tucked her under his left arm as he grabbed some cotton candy. After getting a big wad, he placed Swith down and looked at her with some cotton candy in his mouth. "Want some?" He mumbled under the mouth full of cotton candy.

"Completely understandable, Myra," Giovenith nodded, indeed understanding her friend's desires. She may have not been in the loop about Myra's background, but from what she observed, Marcus did seem to be, and it was beneficial that they could assist one another in this fashion. "I hope my healing on you is helping, as well. If you need help with anything, anything at all, don't hesitate to ask."

Already far into calculating mode, Giovenith seemed to count her fingers for a few moments, and then brought up another point. "What about the dance? If we don't make arrangements soon, it could either be dangerous, or we might have to skip out. And I don't want that any more than the next person."

"I think we should do it now, too.", Said Tora. "Better to just get it over with, right? I'm game."

Conveying her feeling to Drova would come later. For now, she just glanced his way and nodded, which was better than Myra and Marcus had done. He was still her "wrastlin' buddy" from yesterday.

And on to the dance. "I don't feel comfortable, dancing in front of so many strange people, especially if we don't go to that school...but, if you guys want to, then I'll go with it. If not, why don't we have our own little dance, with dates and all?"

Myra had been about to reply to Giovenith but Torii's words caused her to snicker and then outright laugh. It wasn't a cruel or mocking laugh. The absurdity of the notion, however... all of them in party dresses in the street in front of the building, with Drova and Marcus wearing tuxes and splitting up all the girls so they all could claim they were on a date with one of the boys, and then the group as a whole lifting their middle fingers towards the direction of the high school in a final defiant "fuck you losers!" gesture. It was too much to contain. Tears leaked from the corners of her eyes and she got up and hugged Torii.

"I love your mind," she wiped away a tear and smiled.

She let the girl go and gave Giovenith an eager nod. "I'm feeling right as rain. See?" The broken wing extended a bit and wiggled up and down to broke that it could bear weight. "But we shouldn't let bullies run us off. The dance is a benefit and open to the entire community. I doubt they have magic at hospitals or wherever the bullies went, so we won't be seeing Stacey or Josh tonight. We should go, as a group and united as one, and enjoy ourselves."

She looked to Luce as her tail calmly swished, her jet did figure eights over her head, and her wings folded up a bit. "Angels? Wait, like real legitimate angels?" She had heard rumors around the Air Force that the Field Marshal was starting to employ angels to help combat and repair the damage to the noosphere that occurred when the C-Consciousness tried to bend it over and have their way with it, only for it to sock it right back to them. She looked to the vendor. "Okay, you're on." She pulled out a bright brass 5.45mm bullet and handed it to the man. "I'll give it a shot."

Cerillium wrote:Deuce had, per usual, forgotten what it was like to lack genetic tinkering. He would have removed a pauldron for Dora to use as a shield but he doubted she could lift the thing. He cast his eyes about and found nothing suitable. Perhaps there was a curtain or a piece of art hanging on the wall?

"Just a little further," he coaxed. "Almost to the door."

The door didn't turn out to be too promising. The stench of of toxic run off and year old blood assaulted Deuce's senses. He blinked into the darkness and took a protective step towards Dora.

Albert scowled and peered into the darkness, trying to figure out just what was in there that would emit such a horrible stench. It reminded him of some of the wars of his youth, when the use of chemical and nuclear weapons was still common. The leftovers from the earlier era of warfare that ended in the Great War. Many had lasted until at least a thousand years after, and had been used as new polities expanded and conflicted. It also smelled like the run off of some factories he'd seen earlier in his countries history, before pollution regulation. His nation had also used slave labor for quite a while so it wasn't uncommon for dead slaves to be dumped along with waste from the factories, and it made a horrible scent.

"....I get the feeling we should not go back through that door, but where else could we go?" Albert said hesitantly, glancing over towards Deuce and Dora. His tail was low to the ground, and he continued swatting back at the things harrassing them, trying his best to keep them away from Dora, seeing as she was the only one without Armor. "So..... 'Once more unto the breach'?"

Giovenith wrote:"Caaaaaaaar-nee-vahl!" cheered Willow, suddenly popping out of the cider with an enthusiastic splash, sporting a horrifyingly uncharacteristic, happy, toothy smile. "It's called a car-nee-vahl! Where rainbow smiles are born and lollipops cry tears of wonder! Ohmygush, Cereal..." Or so Cerril's name now sounded like. "... I loooooove fluffy things. So fluffy! Do it! Do it!"

Something rather crazy (and perhaps a little scary) happened to Willow Streaks whenever he had too much cider to drink. It was like pushing the pony through one of those opposite world portals that were always being pulled as a wild card in some media that permitted it. The typical cynical shut-in was sucked away screaming into some inescapable black hole, and replaced with a doppelganger that would gladly play with patty-cake with Pinkie Pie or agree to help somepony start up their new pet shop business specializing in fluffy kittens. It was the kind of pony that regular-Willow would turn around and run as fast as he could away from, which meant it was pretty lucky for him that they were the same stallion. Or not. Depending on how you wanted to spin it.

" 'Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, Everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together, Brighter than a lucky penny, When you're near the rain cloud disappears, dear, And I feel so fiiiiiiiine just to know that you are miiiiiiine...' " Willow sang rather badly, while making little splishy-splashes with his front hooves and smiling brightly at them. A baby watching keys jiggled in front of it's face couldn't have been more amused.

Willow generally later forced all of the few friends he had to never speak of these moments again. Ever.

Sterling chuckled and grinned towards his friend, loving the shift in personality that he was exhibiting. It was absolutely amazing seeing Willow get so hyper and ecstatic about everything. It was quite the amazing sight, and Willow rarely let anyone see him like this. So might as well enjoy it while it lasted! Sterling started gulping down more cider and swam around some, loving this immensely. Sterling's personality didn't change that much when drunk. If anything he just got more hyper and a lot more silly. Also his words tended slurring and his thought process got even more erratic than it was already.

"ah! Yes! CArnivals! That is an amazing word! It sounds so colorful and pinkyesque and shilly! It is an amazing thing! Eshpeshially ifsh I cans shwim in schider with my besht friend!" He paddled over and tapped Willow's shoulder with a hoof to indicate that the unicorn was talking about him, then joined Willow in splashing the cider around and grinning at the little waves.

He hopped off Namal's shoulder, and had expanded to 20 feet long before he hit the ground. Sadly, though, he'd forgotten to make himself taller or wider; so he looked like a rabbit that had been kept in a long, narrow box and given steroids. A dachsrabbit, more or less.

You think and then you are, or you do. All is real. Touch, eat, smell, see. With another thought, a rain of honey showered down five feet ahead of them, and MB bounded off to start drinking it.

"...That's quite interesting, fuzzy thing. So we can do anything, eh? That should be fun." Namal said, summoning up a drink from his homeland to start drinking. It was a deep green color, and smelled like some kind of exotic and alien fruit. It wasn't a bad smell by any measure, just very unique. The Khydir moved the cup in a circle to swish the liquid around, showing off that it had a consistency much like a fruit juice. He then gulped down a few mouthfuls before taking a breath, grinning a bit and glancing back to the cat still on his shoulder.

"Should be fun being able to do anything right, little friend? We could be anything we want here!" He still looked the same, but his clothes, which before had been basically just clothes from this world, had shifted to something a bit like a toga, that wrapped around his back in a way that made sure his wings were completely free, while still providing plenty of cover. He sighed happily and glanced around what he was seeing as his old home city, before starting to walk over to see what else was in the immediate area, including the strange rain that the fuzzy thing had created.

Nick, mid-leap (from Namal's other shoulder) and intending to scamper towards the formerly small mammal who now resembled a quadrupedal worm, wished that he could be there faster- and then he was under the golden rain next to MB, getting thoroughly drenched. Opening his mouth, he tasted the honey and made a face. His nose bumped one of MB's many ribs. <Yuck!>

That was when he noticed that his fur felt unusually heavy. He started to lick it to clean himself and found that it was covered in a layer of rain-liquid, and the rain-liquid was insanely sticky. While attempting to get it out of his eyes, the cat with an abnormally large head bumped into the rabbit whose belly almost certainly violated the square cube law.

<Why on earth do you like this stuff? It's horrible! (Sensation of nose fur ssllooowwwllllyyyy pulling away from honey-coated tail fur)(Sensation of sickeningly saccharine taste)>

Toscha was able to safely and securely free Flint from her bindings only taking minimal damage as more arms attempted to attack him. Together the two were able to slosh through the mire back to the door and out into the hallway where the trio were given a brief moment of respite.

Ssssssssssssssss! was the only answer at first, and then MB rolled over to Nick - and was stuck there, fur to fur, as he'd also been thoroughly covered by the honey. It is glorious, no? Very full of energy and suchlike. Annoying to clean, but we're next to ocean! Easy then.

Another thought turned it watery, and raining sideways instead, so no more fell on the cat and the rabbit. MB began hopping about trying to catch some more in his mouth, like a whale breaching and for some reason grabbing snowflakes. If that was possible.

Namal chuckled and padded over to the honey covered creatures and stuck out a hand into the watery sideways honey rain, before pulling it back to lick it off his hand a bit. "Yummy. Very sweet. What is this called, fuzzy jumping thing? I have never seen this kind of food before!" His planet had things like it, but he had never tasted honey from earth, let alone honey created from the mind of a fluffy thing. So it was quite interesting to taste to the 'fake bad raptor' as MB had been calling Namal.

"Hey, Nick, I wonder if you could have your mind communication powers work at a larger range while here? It would be easier communicating would it not?" Namal offered, crouching down to the level of the two animals to speak with both of the sticky things closer and more face-to-face.

"That about sums it up," choked Dora, who was now experiencing dry heaves, running nose and tearing eyes from the sheer magnitude of stench. Coming from the Mediterranean, she was familiar with what happened when food was left out in the humid heat too long. Being a former Conservator, she was well acquainted with death and all that attended it. Intellectually, she didn't mind the sight of dead bodies, but her senses were being overwhelmed. The moaning, too - it made her shiver on the most primal level, and between that and the dry heaves...pain and discomfort on every front. She groped for the door handle. "Screw this. Not here before. I'm trying going back." She spat phlegm, not caring about niceties. Things couldn't get much more filthy.

Slowing down time around herself for an instant, she counted rings - thirty-fourthirty-fivethirty-six and then shot out the other side, still laughing. In her helmet, visor, cape and armor bracers, she looked like a caricature of a superhero.

Now disabled, the turrets were not quite sure what to do. So they began to sing with the plush roses waving about. "Nice going Tex!" Stephen complemented Chrys as he flew back into the air. "I wonder what would happen if I shot at the moon?" He pondered out loud, knowing moon dust was a great portal conductor.

"Thanks!" she called back, trying and failing miserably to imitate Dora's drawl, which was in her mind what Texans did. The music was catchy, too, and she found herself humming it as she passed by Stephen again. "Give it a try! What can go wrong?"

The roses disappeared as she wished them away again.

"I say yes, why not? It'll be cheaper than airlines! Although the only problem I can think of is how to make it bigger on the inside. I'm afraid people might notice it if it went missing, though. The last thing we need is the phone company tracking us down. I hear their agents are brutal."

Cinnamon didn't pay much mind to the mug. A nice souvenir, but she was here to test her skill. She took a stance and held the dart out in front of her eye with her other arm tucked up behind her back. She concentrated hard before she let it loose. The other four soon followed suit as she grabbed them without looking and threw them in quick succession. She didn't let the result of the one before hamper her ability to crank the rest of them out.

Flint let herself slide onto her butt as she propped herself against the wall. She was holding her arm and trembling uncontrollably. Sure, she'd had it rough and went through tough shit before, but this pushed beyond her limit. Her lower lip quivered as she whimpered like a scared dog while tears continued to stream down her cheeks. She was in shock, no doubt about it. The pain had overloaded her mind on the table, causing her to pass out, but she came to after Toscha freed her. She couldn't think straight after experiencing what she did. Her arm was almost totally unresponsive to her now, and she felt like it had been torn from her. She grabbed a bottle of vodka from her rucksack and chugged it dry before she slowly unholstered her pistol. She just stared through the opposite wall as she continued to whimper while she gradually began to bring the barrel to her right temple.

Monfrox wrote:Flint let herself slide onto her butt as she propped herself against the wall.

"If you blow your brains out, your soul might become trapped in here forever."

It was simply stated without any judgement in the voice. A creature squatted beside Flint and placed a hand on the weapon, gently lowering it a few inches. It was female and, although dimmed by the edges of Flint's vodka and pain, there was an ethereal beauty in her face. Compassionate grey eyes flecked with purple and dark blue stared into her own. Flint's fear and desperation had opened her soul wide and the haunting images within caused the creature to weep.

"You are a survivalist. Are you so willing to give up now, good Stalker? Don't you realize that you run with gods and demigods? Nothing is so terrible that can't be rendered whole again. You must use your stubborn determination to see you through this. Channel your horror and anger into a positive force to carry your through. I see your heart, Veronika Konstantinova, and I feel the pains which have haunted you. I believe in you. We will get through this together."

She leaned forward. Soft lips brushed Flint's forehead, imparting a deep sense of love and acceptance. The pains subsided as the creature took them into herself, bearing them out of love for the crumpled human who sat forlorn in front of her. The creature bit her lip and suppressed the agonal scream that threatened to well up inside her. A pale hand cupped Flint's chin, cradling it with the tenderness of a mother comforting her newborn child.

"Be at peace, Flint. I am Magnanimity. I am love personified."

And then the creature dimmed even more to reveal a gentle girl with simple grey eyes and cheeks splattered with the same blood and gore as Toscha and Flint. She was just Naomi once again. She stripped off her shirt and wrapped Flint's arm to hide it, and then used a small knife to slice the cuffs of her pants to form a makeshift sling.

"I know where Aegis is," she told her companions. She rose, adjusted her bra strap and looked back to the machines in the other room, refusing to allow them to challenge the mortal pair. It didn't matter to her if the girl and lamia didn't embrace her pantheon. "I'm going to attempt to portal us there. I can't promise that we'll be safe. I only know that this madness will cease for our friends, wherever we are, once we have completed our mission. I have to try. We have to try."

He temporarily tucked her under his left arm as he grabbed some cotton candy. After getting a big wad, he placed Swith down and looked at her with some cotton candy in his mouth. "Want some?" He mumbled under the mouth full of cotton candy.

Swith's head tilted to the side. The naughty Chaos god's mind went in the wrong direction... decidedly south and to more base desires.

She bit her bottom lip and tread mental gutter water as she appreciated her husband's physique. Carnal Carnivals were good for soooo many things. Yet she didn't think he'd want to romp. Thriller was a reserved man, except for that one time with Fade to Black. Good book. So much fun. She pinched off a portion from his cotton candy cone instead and popped it into her mouth. "It's good."

Her head tipped back to observe the Tower of Doom. A momentary frown creased her brow. There, high above, was the underside of a purple cloud. There was a small selection of candy wrappers littering the ground directly underneath it. Fram. She'd skin him if he'd fouled her Lair.

"Want to enjoy the ride?"

She mentally face-palmed.

"What I mean is, I'd like to ride the Tow-"

Another mental face-palm.

Oh, to hell with this.

She stood on her tiptoes, ignoring Thriller's chewing, and gently mouthed and kissed a tender spot on his neck directly beneath his ear and jawbone. Swith pulled away and then walked away, giving him a view of her perfect bottom. She paused, half-lidded eyes cast upon him as she looked over her shoulder.

"Coming?"

"Thank you!" Kale replied, her tone much quieter than before, "But you're way cuter. I've never seen an anthro before, let alone thought they actually existed. But you're the cutest ever!" Kale was the happiest she had ever been so far today. Lilian was cute and nice. She hoped that both of them would be good friends.

Her ears perked up when she heard of a dance. Her focus was taken a bit away from Lilian and over to Tory and Geo. "There's a dance?!" she said excitedly. She turned her head back to Lilian and gave her a telling grin.

Toscha had been nearly unscathed by the fight, except for looking like he'd just killed a large amount of people with his sword, because he was certainly covered in blood that was not his own. He knew not why the machines seemed so interested in killing them, or why the supposed medical machines were sucking out Flint's arm, and pumping in the goop from the floor.

"Hey, Flint, your name is?" Toscha asked, looking over at the other girl, who's name he didn't remember catching at any point. "You're going to be alright."

It wasn't as flashy a response as Naomi's, but he hoped it'd work. "And we do need to stop this." He nodded. "I'm with you."

It took Thriller a while to understand the dirty mind Charumati was having when she asked the questions, when he did figure out, he mentally laughed for a moment up to the point where she turned around and walked. He observed her walk, her stance, her body... He zoned out for the moment only to snap back to reality when she asked him. Wait, is what I think is happening going to lead to something happening.. And... Wait, for got to chew! He thought to himself before briefly choking on the cotton candy. When he cleared his throat, he walked, with a wider then normal walk, towards her with a smile.

Nick attempted to lick himself and got more fur stuck together. After taking a moment to detach himself, he focused. <Can you hear me? Hello? I want to check out the wheel thing over there, do you guys?>

(Said wheel thing was, in fact, the Ferris wheel from Nick's original perception of the carnival. He'd been interested enough in the myriad hues of the attractions to have unconsciously wished to continue seeing them, resulting in his vision blending the two scenes together.)

Flint had been rendered almost completely speechless. Between getting her arm sucked out and the sheer agony, she felt like she was at her limit. But now, she felt at ease again because of Naomi. She couldn't explain it, and most of the girl's words seemed a bit surreal, but her mind picked up on the important bits. She looked down at her pistol that lay in her lap and then back up at the the girl. She then looked to Toscha as well. Two people, of whom she had no connection to other than being stuck in the same boat, were here for her.

Flint looked back down and tried to remember what Naomi had said. Her mind had been affected by the vodka, but it wasn't blurred. Rather, it was clearer now. The alcohol had a different affect on her, due to her constant exposure and stubbornness of her liver to give up. She understood most of what she heard. Naomi was not an ordinary girl in her eyes anymore, but some ascended being of purpose. She had proved that by taking her pain away and referring to her by her real name. Coupling with the ease that the girl put onto her through something as delicate as a kiss, she felt a bit mixed around. She had never known love other than the unconditional pseudo father-daughter relationship she had with Beard. Even memories of her old parents were blurred until there were no more of them. To feel love as an intimacy wasn't a feeling she was familiar with, nor accustomed to. She felt that love at that point when Naomi kissed her, but she couldn't place it on for whom it was for. Perhaps, it was a deep understanding of how her life led up to this point, and how she felt that she could continue going on, despite the loss of her left arm.

Flint looked to Toscha again. Hell, she hadn't even remembered his name if he said it, but he figured out her's. She unconsciously slid her pistol back into her holster and grabbed the vodka again. She laid her head back. "Yes. My name is Flint. Is funny story on how I got name, but now is not time for that." She smiled for the first time since she was brought into this hellish place. "You two...are true comrades. I...did not expect you to save me. Generosity and kindness are not a common practice where I come from, so...thank you." She told them. She popped off the bottle's cap again and raised it ever so slightly. "To you, my friends. I will forever be in your debt." She toasted before she took a drink.

He remarked, before walking off back to their room to get dressed, but not before giving Natiya a kiss on the cheek. From the room he included on from his previous statement, "Keys are hanging up, left yourself in so you don't have to wait in the cold for me."

"A-alright."

Natiya was dumbfounded that Aleki would basically hand her the keys to the dropship. Like she knew how to operate one, much less open the door to it. Maybe it was like a regular car, she reasoned as she carried the duffel bag out of the apartment. Her cheeks were in a blush too, after Aleki had gone out of his way to do this.

With that, she approached, and somehow, without blowing something up, entered the dropship to wait.

-Prior to Carnival being about-
Aleki would come to the top of the roof in full armor with his sword sheathed and his pistol holstered at his sides. He entered into the dropship and took his place in the pilot seat. He then handed Natiya a mask to wear. "Take it, we are heading into space and the sudden drop in O2 concentration might not be all that good. Plus, it is mandatory if you are leaving planet.

After making sure Natiya had her mask on, and seat belt (which look like those one restraints used in fast pace rollercoaster ride) they took off and within 10 minutes they would reach orbit, and from there Aleki would throttle up the engine as soon as they reached a key spot in the orbit.

-Now-

At last, they made it. what appeared to be a small speck off in the distance of space orbiting Jupiter, was a long, metallic ship armed to every point on it. "Six hours and we will be there to board onto it." He said as he messed with the controls a bit.

----
Superbia soon peeled off of Blythe before taking a step back. "Eh, possibly not. I mean if we get older you then I am sure that things will be fine.." He briefly paused as he grinned before continuing." If not fun for all." He chuckled.

"Ah but I have been fine. Still have you and things are happening. Normal things." He remarked.

"Well, actually, it's not up to Naomi. Blythe gained her freedom when Slaanesh was asked directly. Blythe is a true Daemon. I'm an Abrahamic castaway. There's a difference. I'm not purely emotion."

Xanthe shrugged. "I'm sure we'll figure out an answer. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but soon. Until then, I just have to be patient, right?"

--

"Fun for all?" Blythe stepped back and offered a lopsided grin. It exposed one of her sharp canines, giving her a cute sort of snaggle. "And just what sort of insane things to we all get up to? Not that I want to know. Well, I do want to know, but you know what I mean. I'm glad you still have me, though. But what of your old self?"

She gestured to the sleeping Superbia on the ground. "How can I best comfort you? I can't make things all better, but I can at least try to help you past your pain. Please tell me. This is one thing I do need to know. No riddles. No saying that I'll have to figure it out. Superbia, you are my soulmate. In my species, that means you hold a piece of my being inside your heart. That's how strongly I love you. I gave you that. Please, help me tend you... the past you."

"Patience is key, but it doesn't open all doors in life. Confidence is one that opens others. If you want to be free, then try and find past me and do the same as Superbia did with Blythe." He said. "Get me to try and ask for your freedom."

"just... Be you. Don't change." Superbia replied rather straight forwardly. "I mean, you were already perfect the way you are both in personality and in appearance. I would not trade you for anyone out there and if someone were to ever harm you, I'd kill 'em for you. For you are my pride, and whatever I take pride in I will gladly protect."

As Dora left to go back the way they came she found that the door opened up to a hallway of burnished white metal rather than the library. Sitting there in the hallway were the shapes of Naomi, Flint and Toscha all talking and catching their breaths.

"Yes, there is," Giovenith smiled gently at Kale's excitement, nodding. "And I agree with Myra's sentiments. Going to the dance will be our sign of victory. But, of course, first we have to make the first step..."

The teen girl finally stood up, dusting herself off from any dust left in the closet, and looked around to the other children. "Are we up to get going? The sooner we get it over with, the sooner we can move onto fun things. Hopefully. Unless there's anything else we need to cover?"

"Icanmakebubbles!" Willow warbled together quickly to Sterling, scooping up some of the cider foam and blowing on it. Not being very airy bubbles, they merely oozed down his forelegs. "Morebubbles!" He scooped more up and smopped them on his head, drenching his ebony mane. Willow was very much going to regret this when he was sober.

"Bubbles?" The pegasus waded over a little, holding up and offering some foam to Cerril.
