Dear sir,
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Keith Mulcahy, and I am contacting you in my capacity as CEO of Maltropia's leading civilian shipwrights' firm, Maritime Imperial. I wish to extend my warm and cordial regards for your previous communication with our firm.

I wish to address your request for the establishment of one shipyard within your respected nation. I am delighted to be able to assure you that, despite the relatively low level of demand for our products in your nation at this moment, your request for a comparatively small number of shipyards means that this will indefinitely will be developed as full shipbuilding facilities, providing us with both a solid base in your nation and you with a reliable source of employment. Naturally we expect demand to increase further with time as our reputation builds in your nation, and over the next 5 years will continue to evaluate the economic aspects of expanding production and/or the number of shipyards.

In summary, I have approved your shipyard application, and you may expect Maritime Imperial's officials to arrive within your nation in the near future to determine a specific location. All these facilities should be in operation within the next 24 months if work proceeds according to our usual schedule. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions. I look forward to a prosperous partnership.
Regards,

With concern and urgency, we write to advise you that the activities of your organization violates Corporate Confederate copyright law. This process is patented (relevant patents are attached), and would cause the company we represent, Intellectual Bank Co. irreparable harm, and would represent a tortious interference as well as a theftuous activity.
Perhaps unknown to you, Intellectual Bank Co. is a research lab based in the Corporate Confederacy, and produces and trades patents as an investment in the world's future, and is one of the largest patent holders in the Corporate Confederacy. As I'm sure you'll appreciate, attaining this degree of success is quite difficult for my client. My client over the last decade has committed an enormous amount of resources to their research and development efforts, and to protecting such efforts and our cutting edge technology by, in part, protecting and perfecting our intellectual property rights, including the patents attached below, various pending patent applications. Patent #119608: Floating vehicle for transporting passengers across bodies of water

We have assessed damages at $100 trillion. We are willing to settle at $500 billion.

Dear sir,
My name is Tomás de Barra. I am a senior partner of deBarra-Murphy, a major law firm in Corcaigh Nua, Maltropia. In writing to you today I represent my client, Maritime Imperial Shipwrights of Esrium, this correspondence being in re your letter to Maritime Imperial in which you seek damages for what you seem to perceive as grievances against your client. I shall briefly outline why these claims are preposterous and why it is the intention of my client to ignore them in their entirety.

Your claim relies on a number of fundamental assumptions for it to succeed. Not least among these is the idea that copyright law in the Corporate Confederacy ought to be upheld by a Maltropian court. If you seriously believe this is even vaguely plausible, I will elaborate on the matter. The Royal Kingdom does not make policy of recognising patents that have not been successfully lodged with the relevant patenting authority in Maltropian territory, unless there is a treaty in place between the nation of original lodgement and the Royal Kingdom. As the Corporate Confederacy and the Royal Kingdom do not have any sort of normalised relations, I can safely say there is no patent agreement between our respective nations. If your state were a member of the World Assembly, there would be some framework for your claim, however untenable, but as the situation stands there is really no legal standing for your assertions.

Secondly - and really, this is the far more important point - you claim that the policies of our client, Maritime Imperial, violates the patent of your client, that Maritime Imperial produces a "Floating vehicle for transporting passengers across bodies of water". I question whether you have looked at the firm's catalogue, or even read as far as the second line. Maritime Imperial does not produce passenger vessels of any kind, be they ferries, cruise ships, yachts or what have you. To make allegations that our client has been violating what is, and I apologise for the pun, a patently ridiculous patent, particularly when any cursory glance at the firm's website would inform you that that the firm does not even come close to defying it, is simply preposterous.

Under Maltropian law, my client is fully entitled to seek damages for your falsely-applied claims; however, it has generously offered to let the matter drop if you and your client will abandon all legal actions taken against Maritime Imperial and/or its subsidiaries. Suffice it to say that we will pursue no further action if you are willing to do the same.

Thank you for your careful attention.
Regards,

Tomás de Barra

The Almator-class lifeboat was designed on special commission from the Port of Esrium Lifeboat Foundation in late 2010, to replace the ageing Salvator-class, also a Maritime Imperial design. The craft represents the finest in maritime engineering, and we are proud to offer this latest product to lifesavers everywhere. It is an essential part in the inventory of any coastal rescue organisation.

The Almator measures 12.9 metres from stem to stern and has a beam of just 4 metres, a medium-sized lifeboat by any standard. It therefore represents cost-effectiveness while maintaining a size that permits operation in blue water. It is designed as an all-weather vessel, with state-of-the-art buoyancy countermeasures to minimise the risk of capsizing, regardless of the weather conditions which it may encounter. We do advise that the hull is not designed to withstand pack ice, being built to be reasonably lightweight for extra manoeuvrability.

When Maritime Imperial designed the Almator, we made sure to outfit it with all the latest equipment available to us. The craft has a small comm mast and roof-mounted antenna. An airhorn, mounted on the wheelhouse, serves to alert other watergoing craft to the lifeboat's presence, while its small searchlight can prove of tremendous benefit in search-and-rescue operations. For obvious reasons, the circumferential safety handrail that usually features on our vessels has been dispensed with and replaced with simple guide poles.

When you're in the lifesaving business, speed tends to be of the essence. To give the Almator the engine output necessary for answering calls promptly and effectively, we have outfitted it with an Enmar Industries DX-10 diesel engine. This piece of machinery allows the lifeboat to reach and sustain a steady speed of 24 knots.

Under Maltropian maritime law, we are obliged to conform with WA GAR #20, Suppress International Piracy. For this purpose, the Almator comes equipped with a small weapons locker, located in the wheelhouse, for purely defensive purposes. The standard purchase model of the Almator comes with cutting-edge navigational equipment and with all the paraphernalia obliged by its role in the maritime lifesaving. Purchase cost, as standard, is 1.1 million NSD.

Greetings,

I am Victor Ashemin, representative of the Ministry of Finance for the empire of Euralon. Our department was recently tasked with selecting suitable vessels to compliment certain positions currently short in numbers of the Euralonian Royal Navy, most notably the shipping branch. Recent decommissioning actions of outdated hardware weakened Euralon's shipping strength, plummeting the number of assets currently in service from 18 to 7. To compensate for this loss, we have been in search of new, more modern and effective vessels to fulfill the roles in Euralons naval trading routes.

After extensive searching and observation of exporters from around the world, we have settled on Maritime Imperial. Your exquisite customer service and product ratings have given us nothing short of complete trust in your business. We have agreed to arrange for the transfer of funds to accommodate the order of:

  • 10 Sejanus Container Ships

    • US$ 850,000,000.00

We await your reply eagerly.

The Mucianus-class supertanker is an Ultra Large Crude Carrier (ULCC), the largest vessel ever built by Maritime Imperial. Designed in 2013 after numerous commissions from Neu Engollon, Griffincrest Oil, GHawkins Petroleum and Maltropian Cargo International, the first hull was laid down in late November of that year, being completed only at the end of January 2014. It is currently one of the largest tankers on the international market, and its efficient design makes it one of the most effective products available.

With a length of 388.1 metres, a waterline length of 384.1 and a beam of 61.9, the Mucianus was built for transporting vast amounts of crude oil. Its overall carrying capacity is 2,948,723 barrels of crude oil, or roughly 468,809,493 litres. Its cargo is split into 12 separate tanks and protected by a hull made of reinforced steel 3.6 centimetres thick, acquired from our partner Norn Ironworks. This hull is built to allow a certain degree of resistance to ice, but in heavier pack ice it should not be expected to withstand the external pressure. In general, we recommend using a specialised icebreaker such as our Argalium-class to clear the way in front of the Mucianus.

The ship, when fully laden, has a draught of 20.1 metres, fitting perfectly through the Colitas Canal. It was designed with this specification in mind, and generally conforms to the depth standards of most major waterways.

The Mucianus derives its propulsion from two units of Enmar Industries' SC-80 steam turbine engine, commissioned specially for this model. Each engine provides an output of 26 MW, or roughly 35,000 ship horsepower, and is connected to the ship's two propellers. Fully laden, the ship is capable of reaching and maintaining a speed of 17 knots, ranging up to 19.5 when empty.

As always with Maritime Imperial's products, cost-effectiveness is the name of the game. The Mucianus represents significant savings over competitors' products, with an expected lifetime minimum of 15 years. It possesses all the necessary facilities to remain at sea for several months at a time, and is crewed by just 33 men. The ship comes with numerous features, including a Morse lamp, on a balcony near the bridge, and a crane positioned amidships.

Under Maltropian maritime law, we are obliged to conform with WA GAR #20, Suppress International Piracy. For this purpose, the Mucianus comes equipped with numerous fixed-mount water cannons, spread along its length, to deter pirates or other attackers, and three weapons lockers - two in the superstructure and one in the bows - are included on the ship for defensive purposes. The standard purchase model of the Mucianus comes with cutting-edge navigational equipment and two lifeboats, each capable of holding up to 30 passengers. Purchase cost, without extras, is 150 million NSD.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

We would please like to purchase 5 Agrippa-class habour tugs for trial purposes with all optional features. With a 5% discount from bases in Nouvel Ecosse we believe that this brings the cost to $3,562,500. We would also like to inquire into whether we could acquire designs and rights to production for this class and the Mucianus class supertanker for $5 million and $600 million respectively please.

In addition we would like to recommend that you establish facilities in our home country: it is in the top 10% of the world for most pro-market, besides having superb rights of all other types; and there is a thriving domestic market.

    Dear sir,
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Keith Mulcahy, and I am contacting you in my capacity as CEO of Maltropia's leading civilian shipwrights' firm, Maritime Imperial. I wish to extend my warm and cordial regards for your previous communication with our firm and express my sincere gratitude for your custom.

I wish, first of all, to address your application to purchase five Agrippa-class harbour tugs from Maritime Imperial. Following discussion with the directorate, it has been decided that your application is to be accepted in its entirety. Production of the specified vessels will begin immediately throughout our international shipyards, and you may expect the arrival of your order, in its entirety, within four months. These deliveries will be accompanied by an escort of Maltropian naval vessels to negate any risk of piracy en route.

The gross price of your order comes to 3,000,000 NSD, and, once the 5% hosting discount has been applied, the sum payable is brought to 2,850,000 NSD. All shipping costs are covered courtesy of Maritime Imperial. Please deposit full payment with our banking partner, Príomhbanc Maltróipea, within 2 weeks of this date.

As to your request for three or more shipyards within your respected nation, I am delighted to be in a position to accept your cordial invitation. As Libraria and Ausitoria form a major market of which we are well aware and for which we have some respect, we would be hoping to establish perhaps seven yards in the country, of which three would serve simply as minor facilities, oriented towards ship maintenance and repair. I hope this sounds satisfactory to you, as I am confident that our presence in your nation could only bring benefits thereto.

Finally, to address your inquiry regarding the possibility of the sale of domestic production rights, I am afraid I must inform you that such an act would be impossible at this time. For manifold reasons, it is not the policy of Maritime Imperial to permit the production of its vessels by any outside authority, except in very rare circumstances when it is overseen by a number of our own representatives. I trust you will not take offence when I say that my firm's reputation for quality is at stake here, and if there is to be any error made we would prefer it be made by our own men.

That said, I am glad to see that our Agrippa and the new Mucianus have appealed to you as the exemplars of maritime engineering they are, and I must thank you for your interest and say that it is only with a sense of regret that I turn down your request. I wish sincerely to thank you for your valued custom and for your careful attention.
    Kind regards,
    Keith Mulcahy,
    Chief Executive Officer

    Concerning: Purchase Order

    To whom it may concern,

Please allow me the indulgence of introducing myself. I am Séan Muireadhaigh, Stiúrthóir Bainistíochta (Managing Director) of the Imní Tuath Dé charity. As our organization grows we find ourselves in need of the ability to transport large quantities of goods from Tuath Dé and our donor nations to those parts of the word most in need. Oft-times this necessitates the rapid deployment of resources by air however as we become more established in certain nations and our projects become long term commitments we find ourselves struggling to transport larger or heavier resources in addition to a continuous need for large quantities of food and medical supplies.

To this end we undertook a viability study on the possibilities of purchasing several sea vessels and have determined that the purchase of several vessels while a large initial outlay will greatly reduce costs and offer us far more flexibility going forward. Having been introduced to your GR&T listed corporation I have been delighted with the quality and range of your products.

I would request a confirmed order be placed for 20 Sejanus-class container ships, priced at 85,000,000 NSD each or 1700,000,000 NSD

The payment will be wired electronically to an account of your choosing from our account at Banc Tuath Dé.

I look forward to further developing this relationship further in due course.

    Sincerely,
