Steelbaron's key role in Greythrone power supply lauded
Image

Cape Steelyards, 26 Mar, 2015 - Greythroneans Ambassador in Cape Steelyards on Sunday hailed Steelbaron's active role in the reconstruction and development of Greythrone, particularly in meeting the power shortage in their country.

"By building two hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of 150 MW in Greythrone, The Empire of Steelbaron has helped the country overcome part of its power shortage," Ambassador Paulina de Casper said during a visit to Ministry of Foreign Affair, Steelbaron Sentinels reported. She said Steelbaron was the first country that stood by Greythrone and participated in its development.

Earlier in Jan 2015, Steelbaronian President Dr Albert Steeler officially inaugurated Winteracombe Hydroelectric Power Plant in Greythrone.
Cooperation between Cape Steelyards and Winterarder would further expand with the inauguration of the second phase of Winteracombe power plant, de Casper added.

The construction of the plant, which generates 1 billion KW/h of electricity annually, started in 2013. Steelbaron has invested $280 million in the plant and will fully hand it over to Greythrone after 10 years.

SEMANA COCHE
Celsan lanza Carlton en España y Territorios
10 enero 1994
Image

10 Feb 1994
Celsan Automotive group, of Astholm, have launched an updated version of the Carlton, for the 1994 model year.

Based on the Opel Omega (the 1986-1994 model, which this version is based on, not the current car), but wider and longer than it, the Carlton may share a name with its British counterpart, the Vauxhall Carlton, but that's where the similarities end; it looks very different, gaining styling differences, and engines unique to Celsan, including a V6 not found in the Opel Omega, as well as a different turbo diesel engine.

It will have a choice of 2.0 litre 114 bhp 4-cylinder and 2.4 litre 123 hp 4-cylinder petrol engines, along with a 3.0 litre 160 bhp 6-cylinder petrol.
A V6 petrol will also be offered, but it will supplement, rather than replace, the six-cylinder petrol engines. It is an engine of Celsan's own design and engineering, rather than sourced from elsewhere.

Trim levels will be LS, GLS, Plaza and ExecutiveC, along with sporty SR and GTE variants for those seeking more fun from their luxury car.

Prices have not yet been announced, but expect to pay more than the old model, around 5 to 10 per cent, although this is not confirmed.

It will be built in Victoriahurst, Astholm and sold here in Spain from March 1994 onwards.

In the meantime, you can get good discounts on the current car, up to 30 per cent, if you haggle hard enough, so it's worth a try.

Newriver to Create Springmont’s First Free Trade Zone

by Alan Capebilling

Newriver’s mayor, Brigadier (ret.) Mike Broomelay, has stated that the city wishes to create Springmont’s first free trade zone in a three-year development project that will link and upgrade the city’s existing bonded facilities in Clearwind Creek.

Free trade zones provide a more comprehensive range of tax-friendly facilities than bonded zones, and the Newriver Clearwind Creek Free Trade Zone is expected to offer foreign-denominated offshore banking, financial leasing, cross-border financing, and international trade settlements. Of particular note is the intention to operate foreign-denominated offshore banking, a move that would for the first time provide operational bank accounts in Springmont with exemption from oversight and regulation by Springmont’s banking authorities.

In order to fully instigate the proposed zone, the Newriver government will need to coordinate with ministerial bodies including the Ministry of Finance & Trade, the Ministry of Industries & Energy, and the Economic and Trade Advisory Board.

Springmont to equip F-1200B frigates with indigenous multifunction radar

by Owen Burnwick

Springmont will incorporate a Montian Electronic-developed, medium-range multifunction radar (MFR) system on the new type of frigates referred to locally as the F-1200B class, an industry source has confirmed with Standard.

The class, which is also known as the Ogdenaire Batch II in official National Navy documents, will be the first warships to feature the Gallium Nitride-based sensor. The active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar will form the apex of the frigate’s integrated mast system.

Meanwhile in an unrelated event

The National Navy ordered 76mm guns for the two National Navy Type FaC-1911A1 Mallard-class Fast Attack Corvette on 21 April, the Ministry of Defense & Security (MoDAS) announced on its website later that same day. Atockhound Yard has contracted Montian Defense to install the former's MDWeS-76G1 system by 2021, the ministry said.

The MoD said that the medium gun system would be used mainly for surface fire and naval gunfire support, as well as for air defense.

Atockhound Yard's website lists the system's four subsystems as the MDWeS-76G1 Gun assembly, a modular automated ammunition handling system, the Naval Fire Control Support mission planning system, and the Type NgMU-76/201D ammunition family. The MDWeS-76G1 has a modular feeding system composed of four drums with 14 ready-to-fire rounds each that can be reloaded during firing, and that can be selected independently from their position in the drums. The gun can fire standard 76mm rounds and precision-guided munitions known as MDWeS-Turbot, the latter with a range of up to 100 km, according to the MoD.

The Naval Fire Control Support system supports the combat management system (CMS) by defining possible firing solutions, ammunition selection, trajectory, and the best course of the ship.

Hearthbury Highs closer to new stadium

by Jon Burhawk

A funding pledge from Mayor of Hearthbury High, Mark du Foxhold on the proposed new sports and entertainment precinct in Hearthbury High represents a huge step forward for plans for a new home ground for the Hearthbury Highs, according to Hearthbury Highs Chairperson Richie Constantineau.

Mayor du Foxhold pledged $150 million in funding towards the total cost of the $210 million projects should his government be re-elected at the upcoming City of Hearthbury High election. The Stadium and Sports Arena Centre would become the new home of the Hearthbury Highs who are currently domiciled at 4th Lane Stadium, some 17 kilometer out of the city center.

Hearthbury Highs co-captain Igor Krepanovic has been one of the most high-profile advocates of the new development and Constantineau said that support for the project from both sides of parties is vital for the long-term future of the Hearthbury Highs. The unilateral political support for the move was also welcomed by the Springmont Super League (SSL).

SSL CEO Dr Russel Konbert Deyfrose toured the proposed Southland site in April and said the new complex would be a boon not just for the Hearthbury Highs but the entire Hearthbury High community.

"The SSL has pushed strongly for a new stadium in Hearthbury High," he said. Dr. Deyfrose said the SSL would continue to hold discussions with the State, Federal and Local Governments on the best ways to progress the stadium project.
