There are four more videos, by the way, though they're a bit shorter. Still funny and heartwarming though.

These ones, while not as tear jerking, are better in my view as they're more accurate depictions of the services being advertised. Because I still can't get over the Google Plus bit in the first ad.

Yes, more ads should be made and visa requirements should be loosened.

Admittedly, it is not in my interest for Pakistan and India to end all hostilities, I am only on India's side. Any country which is Muslim or communist I am very likely to align against, that is just my foreign policy.

So because NSG's Saiwania hates dem Ebul Muzlims and godless commies, India and Pakistan shouldn't be working towards peace. This makes perfect sense from a geopolitical standpoint.

That was the point - to humanise the conflict rather than the news we all constantly hear and read. I want the Pak military to stop those abuses as well, but we miss the human factor of this.

[The second line is a reference to the thefts of sweets from Yusuf's shop. Peacock here means the heart was free and joyful like peacocks dancing in rains.]

ah, what time it was, there was no restriction over the heart
there was a time, when the heart used to be like a peacock

That this Google Ad is absolutely beautiful. It is in Hindustani, but the closed captioning in nine languages (including English) is extremely accurate. Warning: This ad reduced me to an emotional wreck for a bit.

It's good to see technology used for good ends, and this ad is a smash hit by Google. I'm amazed by it, truly I am. They took a daring leap in appealing to both India and Pakistan, something companies try to avoid doing. But they did it and made it something amazing and brilliant. Some people are even discussing loosening Indo-Pak visa requirements partially because of this.

So, for discussion, I suppose it's just this: Should more ads like this be made? And should Indo-Pak visa requirements be loosened.

My reply is simply "Of course."

That was wonderful. Made me tear up, and gave me some faith in humanity. If more ads like these were made, I wouldn't fast forward through commercials. That was perhaps the best advertisement I've ever seen.

Frankly, calling it a war was a gross misnomer. Border skirmishes between China and the old USSR killed ten times as many combatants.

I don't. I can pretty much see a news of a cross border terrorist killing a civilian or an army man and think of the loss for the family and how hard it hits them personally. It never gets 'oh 2 number dead..oh well' for me...that I have to "humanise" it with some pappi jhappi ad from google.
