Everything You Need To Know: Marjabarian-Janpian Trade War

After allegations of war crimes by the Revolutionary States of Janpia, as well as their fellow members of KTO, the Marjabarian Federation was struck by a number of sanctions by the former group. Even non-members of KTO piled on, adding their own blows. The Federation, as well as several other members of the Pacific Alliance came to Marjabaria’s aid, and pledged to defend Marjabaria’s integrity and economy.

Despite the majority showing support for our fellow Alliance member, the Awesome Imperium refused and placed its own round of sanctions on Marjabaria. This prompted outrage from several members of TPA, including the New San Andreas Republic. In a series of debates in the Pacific Alliance’s meeting room, the Imperium withdrew from the Alliance. Immediately afterwards, it closed access to the Suez Canal and Egypt for members of Marjabaria’s BDS. KTO and its allies have seized Marjabarian shipping near their waters.

In a recent statement by the SAF’s Foreign Relations Department, President Brooks and his administration called for a peaceful resolution, but confirmed they would continue to protect Marjabaria’s shipments to the world. They also stated that donations of food, water, and other basic necessities would continue to be delivered to the Marjabarian people in order to keep rhe standard of living at a reasonable position.

This Week's Updates & Highlights from the Office of the Imperial President

This week, the Imperium left The Pacific Alliance after continual disgrace and the lack of support towards the Imperium and generally hostile environement. This was due to to the Janpian BDS created by the Marajarbian Federation whom was hostile to the Imperium sparking a number of debates between members of the TPA untimatly leading to the Imperium leaving The Pacific Alliance and closing our Territorial Waters/EEZ, the Suez Canal, the Straits of Gibralter, and the Straits of Malacca to all TPA members and signatories of the Janpian BDS.

Corinne Aquila wrote:I believe it was the right choice for the Imperium to leave The Pacific Alliance. The Imperium was disgraced and has little support in the alliance making which would make staying in the TPA a waste of resources."

Recently, the Imperium has signed Trade deals with the United Revolutionary States of Janpia and the Republic of Krow-Bock. These deals were meant to ensure the Imperium a reliable source of Agricultural, Aquacultural, and Steel products as said industries are either focused on export or are smaller and arnt able to provide the needs of the Imperium's 4,078,369,058. This deal will make Janpia the Imperium's Second Largest trading partner with them supplying the Imperium with Aquacultural Products in exchange for Oil and will make Krow-Bock the Imperium's Largest trading partner with them supplying Agricultural and Steel Products to the Imperium and establish offices of their major steel businesses, building on to the already existing CSA agreement between the Imperium and Krow-Bock. These deals are said to bring prosperity to all three nations.

Today the Imperitoria Senatus (Imperial Senate) has passed an Order to place sanctions on TPA members which has been Signed by the Imperial President. This came after the Imperium left TPA with the bill being proposed by Imperial President Corinne Aquila. These sanctions will be added to the Trade bans placed recently and are intended to force the Marajarbian Federation, TPA members, and signatories of the Janpian BDS to back off.

Yesterday, Vitoria Delphina, Nika Delphina, and Tristian King were appointed to the Imperial Cabinet by the Emperess and Imperial President. Victoria Delphina is the new Imperial Secretary of Defense with her sister Nika, being the new Imperial Secretary of External/International Affairs. Tristian King is the new Imperial Secretary of Finance and Economic Affairs and is the 4rth addition to the Aquila Administration Cabinet

Opinion: The Marajarbian Dictator and His Quest for World Domination

Earlier today, Emperor Jackson of the Marajarbian Empire announced his resignation. Unsurprising of an absolute monarch, he has passed the crown along to his cousin, Daniel Thomas. Emperor Jackson was well know for his countless war crimes and crimes against humanity, as well as his threat to global stability and outdated imperialist ambitions. Like a pre-Industrial nightmare, he sought to conquer and pillage whatever he so pleased, tearing up countries and killing any who stood in the way of his ever-hungry ambition. All the while ignoring his the defense of his allies such as Muqaddasia and trampling any agreements he had made whenever they did not suit him. Nothing was sacred to Emperor Jackson save his own desire to play the role of puppet master and have the world dance at his whim.

To say that Emperor Jackson will be missed by the people of the Yitanka would by pure fantasy. It was Emperor Jackson's administration that saw the Yitankan SSR resign from the Pacific Alliance; an alliance that Yitanka had helped found and establish for the interests of nations that shared the Pacific together. But what was once a noble effort to bring together the disparate nations of the Pacific has devolved into nothing more than a platform for Marajarbian hegemony. Backdoor deals, an extreme and severe disregard of the constitution lead by the Marajarbian delegation, and numerous attempts to bully member states who don't bend the knee to Marajarbia into resignation have left the TPA as little more than a sock puppet for the Marajarbian throne. Another jewel in the rotten crown of the Empire.

But things have only gotten worse. The newest autocrat chosen to wear the crown, the soon-to-be-Emperor Thomas, has made it clear from his preemptive speech what his plans for the world at large are. "We will enforce our values, spread our influence, and work hard so that present and future rivals cannot rise up again," Autocrat Thomas said in his address to the Marajarbian people today. "We will ensure total strategic victories at every corner, and establish a new international order, not governed by a World Assembly or the democratic rule of law, but by the powerful, honorable, and most influential nations. This international order will be governed by many alliances, present and future, so that the disgrace that was the past can never happen again, and so that more menaces cannot intervene in the affairs of others again!"

Clearly, the upcoming Marajarbian Emperor has grander ambitions of world domination than his predecessor. With dangerously worrying rhetoric calling for a complete and total end to the World Assembly and democracy, as well as making a cheeky assumption that Marajarbia and it's UADC/GENA 2.0 proxy ought to be on top of this "New World Order", Autocrat Thomas has made it exceedingly clear that he shares the same single braincell that all world-conquering fascist dictators have in common. He wishes to make it impossible to "intervene in the affairs" of his Empire so that he may do as he pleases without consequence.

The soon-to-be Emperor of Marajarbia has all but declared a war on the world at large, and make no mistake in thinking that his ambitions can be satiated or that any nation will be safe from his hunger. His admittance in wanting a world ruled "by the powerful" should be proof enough that he seeks to make all bend the knee to him or perish. Little remains to differentiate him from those who came before him such as Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, or Napoleon Bonaparte. With people such as these there can be no allies, only nations who have pushed their name further down the list of countries to subjugate. There is no doubt that a time will come when Marajarbia will seek to "intergrate" Muqaddasia and Aursia if nothing is done to change course. There is only room for one "King of the World" in the mind of a dictator, and these monsters will not share their crown.

There is no more hope for the Marajarbian Empire. It is clearly evident that Marajarbian hegemons will continue to pursue their quest for world domination even if it should cost them every Marajarbian life and the wellbeing of all their allies and colonies. We must not allow ourselves the temporary comforts of appeasement, for we see how well such tactics worked nearly one hundred years ago. We must stand strong in the face of such proudly naked evils and push them back. Our world, our freedoms, our dignity as human beings depends on it.

We must not allow this to continue. The fate of our world is at stake.

Earlier today, Prime Minister James Emmanuel appeared as the key guest speaker at the 2022 King Blake University Faculty Conference, addressing the attendees on a myriad of topics relating to current global affairs, including the fine details of newly signed trade deals, the nations increasing involvement in the affairs of the KTO and the founding of the Countesian-backed Novian Republic. Towards the end of his scheduled appearance he would use the remainder of his time to directly address the Marajarbian issue, specifically the ongoing tensions, the trade war and finally the ascension of the new Marajarbian Emperor.

To a crowd of approximately 2,300 faculty members, he would go on to make a rousing and passionate speech to those in attendence.

"If it wasn't already obvious for all to see, the inaugural speech of Emperor Daniel Thomas finally showed the Marajarbians true colours to the world. Despite repeatedly calling The Kalisight Treaty Organisation undemocratic warmongers, the Marajarbians have now gone on the record to outright state their plans of usurping the World Assembly completely, seeking to quite literally disassemble democracy and self determination at its core and to replace it with a system that is dominated by rich, powerful and despotic nations. Now, I can tell you with complete sincerity that Countesia will not stand by idly and allow such an archaic system to return to mainstream politics. We will be ramping up our efforts to hamper the Marajarbian dictatorship at every conceivable turn. there will not be a single nation on this earth that we will allow them to enforce their government upon.

At this point, I am almost certain that armed conflict is inevitable between The KTO and Marajarbia. This is not something i say lightly, it is something i acknowledge with a heavy heart. We have already mobilised every single vessel at our disposal to protect Countesian merchant shipping and our overseas provinces. whether or not this will be enough to shelter us from the coming storm i cannot tell you, but I promise you that i have the full faith in every single one of our brave soldiers, sailors and pilots. President Friece Critisizes Marajarbian Power Transfer

On the 20th of August, 2022, Emperor John Jackson officially resigned as leader of The Marajarbian Federation.

On the same day, former Emperor Jackson announced that his cousin, Daniel Thomas, would be assuming his role as emperor of The Marajarbian Federation.

Only a few hours later, Emperor Daniel Thomas would give his first speech as ruler of The Marajarbian Federation.

"Today, we will continue our commitment to Keeping Marajarbia Great," Thomas said. "We will enforce our values, spread our influence, and work hard so that present and future rivals cannot rise up again."

Later that same day during a press conference, President Leland Friece commented on the matter.

"I am saddened by The Marajarbian Federation's chosen method for transferring power," said President Friece. "It doesn't takes the word of the Marajarbian people into account. It's a continuation of Marajarbian autocracy."

This power transfer comes amid trade conflicts between Janpia and The Marajarbian Federation, with Aumbura aligning themselves on the side of Janpia. Currently, Aumbura is still enforcing a blockade of any ships belonging to The Marajarbian Federation and its allies.

"As of now, our support for Janpia is unwavering," said President Friece.

Different Face, Same Shit

Yea, you heard right. The new emperor is just Jackson, but somehow worse. In the greater scheme of things, however, he's all the same. A loony pacifist who thinks they can drag everyone under their thumb and rule the multiverse by "replacing the WA". Impossible. You can't even begin to imagine how foolish such an errand is! Oh, but he thinks that the UADC will succeed. Yea, okay, let's look at the last few attempts like GCN (failed), GENA (faded into irrelevance), and uh, that's about it really. Gonswanza will continue to wage its war against UADC shipping while they carry on with their fetish for attacking Janpian cargo as if that's the ONLY trade partner in the KTO. Look, buddy, I know it's hard for you to read, but did you know the KTO is known as the Kalisight Trade Organization? Wow! Granted, the T is for Treaty but potato potato. Look, just because of their stubborn and narrow effort that has been given zero action, the KTO is growing bigger than they ever could while this empire of filth is being eaten away and succumbing to a crisis of its own design, ironically. Not only that, but even their closest allies are abandoning them, seeing the writing on the wall. How pleasant! People who can actually think!

Still, that doesn't explain why Muqaddasia continues to hold on desperately with Aursi and a select few others who jumped the laser focus bandwagon despite never trading with anyone from KTO in the first place... Heck, the scoreboards here in Gonswanza are still ticking up tons of sunken Muqaddasian shipping, thanks to outposts in the Indian Ocean. The Pacific is dominated by a few KTO nations as well, with even more in the Atlantic under the Reichsstadt Treaty Coalition. And yet, and yet! They have the nerve to say "no, the problem is only Janpia". GOD!

Look, the day that UADC actually grows a brain and changes what they are doing, gives up on their crazed goals of world domination, expels Southeastern Marajarbia, and becomes relevant on the world stage, then perhaps, I may change my opinion on them. But for now? They are no better than a group of chimps trying to keep a sinking ship afloat in a perfect storm. And boy, are they sinking fast from SM's poor attempts at reassuring the masses that their leader is totally not a dictator.

Supreme Soviet Declares Non-Recognition of Marajarbian State After Response by Daniel Thomas and Invasion of Namaprika

In response to an opinion piece published earlier today by the Yitankan National Information Service, soon-to-be Emperor of Marajarbia, Daniel Thomas, said the following: "Like usual, the KTO pursues their rhetoric and grudges without realizing the bigger picture. The world is a swamp of corruption, scandals, and witch hunts, with the 'democratic rule of law' the world strives for being nothing more that the big swamp that must be drained."

"The democracy of the past is nothing like today's democracy," Thomas claimed, "or that of the future for that matter. No, the future of the world is one thing and one thing only, factionalism. Alliances large and small must rise to take mantles, and those guilty of criminal acts, such as the Janpians, are to be prosecuted in international courts, for that is how to truly Keep Marajarbia Great!"

It must be noted that the statements made by Mr. Thomas are categorically false and show a failure to understand any amount of recent events. Mr. Thomas was unable or unwilling to see how Marajarbia's actions influenced Yitanka to join the Kalsight Treaty Organization and not the other way around. Nor was he willing or able to understand the folly of glorifying factionalism and warlord systems in his self-admitted desire to see a world where the "strong" rule over the "weak".

Furthermore, while still not yet crowned "Emperor of Marajarbia", Mr. Thomas has deployed conscripted colonial troops to the WA peacekeeping region of Namaprika. He has stated his aims are to establish a warlord regime in Namaprika for his own personal benefit, "including the establishment of a new international order, in which the strong and powerful govern over the irrelevant and small."

It was this sudden invasion of Namaprika, coupled with his violently aggressive rhetoric and direct threats to the democracy of nations other than his own, that caused an emergency session of the Supreme Soviet to be convened. After hours of deliberation, the Supreme Soviet has voted to formally withdraw diplomatic recognition of the state of Marajarbia. In a statement on its decision, the Supreme Soviet cited: "The new Marajarbian Emperor's direct threats to the democracies of the world, his commitment of troops to seize Namaprika for himself, former Emperor Jackson's innumerous crimes, and the now unmasked and currently in-action plan for a Marajarbian global hegemony."

Further deliberations are to be held at a later date to decide on additional punitive measures, but as it stands the Soviet Socialist Republic of Yitanka no longer recognizes the Marajarbian Empire as a state. It also clarifies that these action do not represent any organization the Yitankan SSR is a member of and should not be construed in such a way to imply that any international alliance or organization is in agreement with the Supreme Soviet's decision.

When asked for a comment, Chairman Shinzu Taihau stated: "My heart goes out to the Marajarbian people. They're forced to march out from one warlord's boot only to find themselves beneath another's, caught in between their overlord's poor decisions and those of us trying to safeguard the rest of the world. They're forced to bleed and die for a man who sees them as little more than a resource to gain whatever he so desires. It's disgusting, it's barbaric, and frankly it's frightening how far in the past some people's minds are stuck. How deranged must one be to glorify warlords over democracy? Daniel Thomas is either a lying snake or unfathomably insane, and in both possibilities he is one of the most dangerous men in the world."

In conjunction with the Supreme Soviet's declaration, all formerly Marajarbian assets within Yitankan have been seized, and all Marajarbians claiming Marajarbian citizenship in Yitanka will be detained until either proper deportation to a safe alternative nation can be arranged or an application for Yitankan citizenship is approved by their local Soviet. The Yitankan government has reassured that Marajarbians detained during this time will not be treated like criminals, but will have rights roughly equating to a "house arrest" until they can either obtain passage out of the country or apply for Yitankan citizenship. This measure has been deemed a necessity for public security.

At this time no additional punitive measures will be enacted on states aligning themselves with the former state of Marajarbia.

Opinion:
Aumbura Should Join the KTO

The KTO is a long standing treaty organization between The Military State of the Galapagos, Janpia, and several other nations.

While Aumbura has disputed with the KTO in the past, including during The Fifth Romanic Imperium Civil War, present day circumstances make it critical that Aumbura formally attempt to join the organization.

Aumbura's relations with one of the organization's founders, Janpia, have been positive for quite some time, as both nations have engaged in trade with one another, and have established diplomatic relations. Furthermore, both nations are devoutly socialist, and equally socially progressive. As such, both should make it a goal to protect each other's nations, and preserve their mutually held beliefs.

Nowadays however, these Janpian values are under threat, as The Marajarbian Federation has begun condemning Janpia left and right, claiming the nation to be imperialist. They've also been attempting to sabotage Janpia's economy by disrupting the nation's trade, in a conflict now commonly dubbed the Marajarbian-Janpian Trade Dispute.

Ironically, despite their claims that Janpia is imperialist, The Marajarbian Federation has continuously attempted to control long-standing Janpian ally, The Military State of the Galapagos. This is all done in the name of supposedly stopping wrongdoing.

While the Galapagos has indeed engaged in authoritarian behavior, including slave trading, that came to an end some time back, with slavery becoming an outlawed practice within the country. On top of that, the nation has made strides to become more socially progressive by passing laws such as the legalization of gay marriage, and it is no longer as authoritarian as it once was.

Even so, The Marajarbian Federation continues to behave in a hostile manner toward The Galapagos, refusing to acknowledge the multiple war crimes they committed within the nation during the multiple Galapagosian wars. Janpia's insistence that Marajarbia answer for these crimes is one reason for the federation's general hostility toward the KTO.

In addition to their past crimes, The Marajarbian Federation also continues to govern autocratically, with the newly appointed emperor being the unelected cousin of now former Emperor John Jackson. This is another reason for their disdain for the KTO, as they are an organization that explicitly pushes for democracy.

Currently, Aumbura's military is the strongest it's ever been in the country's history, and with the recent development of Aumbura's first nuclear bombs, the nation is in an incredibly strong state as of now. Aumbura should use this power for good, and join the KTO in order to show solidarity with Janpia, and ensure their support should the nation ever be attacked by The Marajarbian Federation.

President Mileethus Canisilus and Vice President Franklin Johnson were at the National Press Headquarters on Saturday, August 20th to discuss many leading national issues facing the Confederacy in the coming years. Among the most notable topics of discussion was the upcoming Supreme Court of the Confederacy deliberations on key issues facing the the Commonwealth of Lexington and the Territory of the West Islands, which has recently gripped the nation as Territory Governor Jordan Cabrera of the West Islands and Prime Minister Jeet Vaknis of Lexington have recently been sharing cross words. This all started on Wednesday, April 7th, 105 AUR during the Year 104 Presidential Elections. On that day, Chief Judge Stewart Thornton, who continues to represent the Commonwealth of Lexington to the Supreme Court of the Confederacy, gave his final closing arguments and thoughts on Case C055342 which represented the legality and authority of the Territory of the West Islands to secede from the Commonwealth of Lexington. Since that day, growing resentment between both political establishments in the Territorial Government and the Commonwealth has stewed, reaching a boiling point only last month with the Commonwealth of Lexington filing an official challenge of legitimacy to the Supreme Court.

The Seven Chief Justices, each representing a Sovereign Member-State of the Confederate States, will be deciding on Case C055342(a) labeled as challenged by the Commonwealth. If the Supreme Court approves the challenge of legitimacy, a new case will be approved to be opened to allow the Commonwealth of Lexington to claim back ownership of the Territory of the West Islands.

"Case C055342-A is a very serious concern for this administration," commented President Canisilus during the press visit on Saturday in reply to the question on how serious the government took the issue. "The Territory of the West Islands has prospered into its own unique entity since its inception and contributed greatly during the national crisis which took the lives of Chief General Elliot Armstrong and Chief General Titus Bond. They, along with several other states, contributed what amounts to a large amount of their militia forces to stabilize the country and eliminate active terrorist cells. I have been in discussion with Prime Minister Vaknis and Territorial Governor Cabrera on this issue. I believe in the authority of our Supreme Court in their capacity to resolve this issue legally and through the powers invested into them by our Constitution."

Topics of discussion moved on during the press briefing on Saturday to the growth of the Confederate Military over the last two years. Chief Admiral Dave Evans was present briefly to answer questions and comments that have escalated since the reinvestment of national funds towards the growth of the military industrial complex. Most notable of those concerns, the reactivation and deployment of the Confederate Navy's Nimitz-class Supercarriers.

"I remember reporting to the Grand Senate about a year ago concerning my plans to downsize the Confederate Navy, specifically our aging Supercarriers," Chief Admiral Evans remarked at the press visit on Saturday during the middle of discussions regarding national issues on the military in response to press questions on the topic. "I do remember in fact stating that all five of the Nimitz-class Supercarriers that are now in the process of or have been through reactivation were to be decommissioned or sold. I can state that we were a month away from finalizing a deal with the Soviet Union of Nodea Rudav on two of the carriers specifically, of which I will not name, with a single other in the talks to be sold to the Imperial Empire of Drekamythia. Those plans, all of the plans, have been vastly altered and changed due to Executive Order Number 5437C. I undertook the methods necessary to comply with the order from my Command in Chief and I additionally reallocated funds to ensure full compliance for years to come, as necessary and as required. I state very clearly I am in full compliance with the Articles of the Armed Forces of the Confederacy and am enacting actions which are preserving the continuity of our nation and way of life."

The press visit and briefing concluded with the expected questions concerning the latest developments with the United Revolutionary States of Janpia and other serious concerns that involves the Kalsight Treaty Organization, of which the Confederate States is a new Member-Nation of. The President had this remark to say.

"I am fully aware and kept informed of the situation involving the United Revolutionary States of Janpia, the Naval Federal Union of
Southeast Marajarbia, recent remarks by the Commonwealth of Greater Sirne, and other issues pertaining to our involving the Kalsight Treaty Organization. I am fully aware am being kept appraised of each issue as they happen and are addressed internationally. By my order, the Confederate States has already deployed two aircraft carriers to the vicinity of the United Revolutionary States to prove and show our commitment not only to our new friends in Janpia, but also the KTO as a whole. I am already approving further executive orders to enable the Chief Admiral to utilize assets and resources and funds necessary to ensure the protection and survival of trade to and from the Confederate States. Following the press visit and briefing, the National Press, including national news networks, were set ablaze with the statements by the President concerning the position of the Confederate States in regards to protecting trading vessels belonging to the Kalsight Treaty Organization. "You wanted to see me, Krauszer? Something urgent?" Ludwig Winszer, the Minister of Defense sat stiffly in his chair, looking up from a set of papers.

"Yes. As we planned earlier, I had cameras secretly installed in each Ministry building here. I got something very important from the Ministry of Finance. Apparently, the Premier doesn't want the head of the Mint out for his embezzlement. He ordered the inspector to pin the blame on both you and on the Minister of Finance. I don't know exactly why Premier Albrecht wanted to keep the Mint Director safe so much, but I have a hunch. The Mint director was probably supplying Albrecht with money directly, for bribing the Volksrat into passing legislation." Krauszer explained.

"Well, every premier bribes the Volksrat. Everyone knows they do." Winszer replied.

"I don't think any have been bold enough to embezzle from the Mint for bribes. Really, its impressive. He's crafty. Too crafty. Which is why I'm here. I suggest we use this as a pretext for a coup d'état. We control the two Ministries that can most effectively pull it off. I have immense leverage on most of the government, and you have raw military might. What do you think?" Krauszer asked.

"That... could work. We would need to be careful. I have enough sway with my generals to get them to obey, as long as I can get them something. Perhaps we form a 'temporary' military ruling council made up of us, some of my generals, and some of your operatives? Stalinists only, of course. Those damn New Socialists have been in power for too long." Winzer spat out angrily.

"I agree, with both of your statements. We need some form of government with both of us at the head if the coup succeeds." Krauszer replied. "I will ready some of my operatives that are in the Premierial Headquarters. Perhaps they can distract Albrecht on the morning of the coup, or even take him hostage until it is over. Or sedate his coffee on the morning of the coup, and he sleeps through it... hmmm. I will get on that, you work on getting your generals and troops together for the day."

"Sounds good. I will inform you if I hear anything." Winszer said as Krauszer left the office.

In the Central Aituian Parliament in Kaw, members of the parliament disagree in the independence of some autonomous republics, this would create an spark of outrage in all autonomies and would begin the Aituian Civil War.

In the first day, multiple assassinations would begin, some would protest in the capital square. Prime Minister Fargg Gasis makes a speach in the square and try to stop the disagreement and outrage in both the people and the parliament. This however, will not change the minds of millions of outraged people in some areas, causing the civil war to continue.

In 2-7 days, some Aituians begin immigrating and also begin to create their weapons for safety. From 7 and onwards, Autonomies begin buying private military equipments and conscripting men. Some autonomies would resort to gas warfare.

Twas not long after Emperor Jackson announced his 'resignation' that Prime Minister Avietissian announced his, and Grand Alliance's, disapproval of his successor: Daniel Thomas. This 'new' emperor, unlike his predeccessor, has seemingly committed to...despotism? Perhaps even fascism? Indeed, tis a...far cry from what Marajarbia supposedly intended. Sure, Grand Alliance's government may be ultranationalistic, and theocratic, but they aren't trying to - as Thomas put it - "work so hard that present and future rivals cannot rise up again". Again, this comes from a nation that, not too long ago, was promoting democracy...not the Galapagos, not Gonswanza...hell, not even Phenyzia...no - it comes from a nation that willingly holds membership in the International Humanitarian Coalition. So - why is it that Marajarbia continues to go on their tirades about the 'big bad KTO'...and their supposed quest for world domination, when they're literally advocating for complete subservience?

And what of the UADC? An alliance that - I kid you not - promises to lead the world into a 'better future'. What better future would come of a Marajarbian-dominated world? Social democracy? What better future would come of a world where the likes of Aursi and Muqaddasia have any sort of say? Medianism? Incompetence? No...see, these recent developments only serve to prove that the UADC is, as Avietissian put it, 'little more than a front organization'. It is, above all, terrifying to see how such a noble nation turned to some sort of false sense of 'righteousness'...just as Muqaddasia did before them.

FM Taslakian has requested that the Marajarbian government reconsiders, and orders Thomas to abdicate when the time comes...though experts doubt that they will.

OPINION: As Things Change, So Much Stays the Same

Yesterday, the longstanding emperor of Marajarbia, John Jackson, resigned from his post. This comes on the heels of member states of the Kalisight Treaty Organization calling for Jackson to be put on trial for alleged crimes against humanity during the invasion and occupation of Galapagos. Jackson was also the emperor that oversaw the failed Global Confederation of Nations and Global Entente of Nations and Alliances, while also laying the groundworks for the United Alliance of Defense and Cooperation. During his tenue, Jackson strove to position Marajarbia as the global hegemon, largely through these alliances. As Jackson tried to change the international order from independent sovereign nations to a feudal empire with him at the head, nations of all ideologies pushed back, leading to collapse of both GCN and later GENA, and eventually, Jackson’s leadership. Through all of this, Jackson kept the pretense of being pro-democracy and freedom.

With the resignation, Jackson announced that the position of emperor would be taken over by his cousin Daniel Thomas, in classic monarchical fashion. In his initial speeches, Thomas appears to have dropped the pretense of Marajarbia being pro-democratic. The new emperor has stated that Marajarbia “will ensure total strategic victories at every corner, and establish a new international order, not governed by the democratic rule of law”. As political scientists have pointed out, this is not a new policy for Marajarbia as GENA stated as much in its charter, however, this is the first time the monarch has stated this out loud. In essence, Thomas is saying what Jackson kept silent. This is, to this author, a refreshing change.

As a member of the Senate, I will continue the fight against authoritarianism. UADC is just a reskinned GENA. Thomas is just a more open Jackson. As things change, they stay the same. While I live, I will strive to ensure that Marajarbia does not become the global hegemon. I will strive to expand the powers granted to the navy in the Reichsstadt Act. I will propose and strive to pass a bill granting letters of marque for interdiction of ships within the Roman EEZ in line with the Reichsstadt Act.

Sovereignty and freedom are essential to a safe life. The forces of good shall defeat the forces of evil. Neptune shall grant us calm seas in our endeavor. Iupiter shall grant us calm skys in our endeavor. I beseech the Gods to help us in our fight to protect the Roman way of life.

Recently, Emperor Jackson resigned as the supreme leader of sorts from Marajarbia, which is an unexpected move given that he is a delusional war criminal nutjob, who controls a genocidal imperialist state. His cousin, Daniel Thomas, will assume control through a chosen, yes, chosen; and non-democratic means into the helm of the weakening empire. Heh, what did the journalist such as Lemska and I kept saying about for a long time? Marajarbian Government is undemocratic! Want proof of it? Just look at the news and have common sense damn it! The recent transfer of power is undemocratic and it shows that the Marajarbian Federation is not an actual or any form of democracy on to the direct term of giving power and government to the people! Oh and not only that, but this new emperor seems much more delusional than Mr. War crimes, given that his recent speech, actions, plans, or whatever, talked about stopping this so-called unelaborated Janpian "crimes" (spoiler, the party don't do war crimes unfortunately), and having the world support them on this whatever crusade against our great glorious state! (spoiler, they always lost). Furthermore, this new emperor just said that he will strike victories in every corner; yet in reality, they lost in every aspect from trade, economy, war, technology, diplomacy, agreements, exchange, and a bunch more on the list when compared to Janpia or the rest of the KTO states! Their companies, especially their source of pride, Marajarbian shipping group, is nothing compared to any states! Well other than losing profits given the KTO interdiction order! Tell me, since when did the Marajarbians actually fought in a battlefield? Nothing? Just Galapagos and Mystery Realms? Oh and might be out of topic, but I really wanted to share this funny story. According to a veteran tankist stationed at Muqaddasian Jeddah, a Marajarbian mech (yes a mech with arms and legs,) charged their position in an aggressive manner, parkouring and dancing down the street, only to be shot down by the tank's main gun which obliterated the mech's knees, making it immobile and out of action! The crew that time was dumbfounded on what they saw and was intimidated at the start, yet all it took was a single shot! I was literally laughing whenever I read or write this! This so-called great Marajarbia has mechs on their military like.... why? Going back to the topic, this new Emperor also calls for an international order, where everything is governed by powerful, honorable, and influential nations. Hmm. Going by their logic, given the small amount of international support on to the Marajarbian Government, along with them having no honor and power, I believe they have no right to change or lead this so called international order! Plus, isn't this the first time they attempted to change this so called international order. This attempt is like what, the 3rd attempt? One of the dreams and wishes of this new emperor, as I quote

On the recent note, the new Emperor also stated that democracy of the past is not the same of the present and future. Wierd for him to say, given that the Marajarbian Imperial Federation Republic isn't the center or the epitome of democracy, given the lack of participating people, actual colonial possessions, and an absolute monarchial control over the state affairs!

With all these, its obvious that Emperor Thomas is much more delusional and imperialist compared to the Jackson, and that the resignation of Emperor Jackson has changed nothing, other than maybe an aggressive stance on doing their colonial affairs.... which they actually do not. You honestly thought that I see the new Emperor as a threat? Well good sir or ladies, you are wrong. They only have empty threats, and zero actions! When was the last time the Marajarbian Government totally enforced their DBS document? The fact that they don't do anything to help their vessels, or even attempt to interdict us, is enough proof that they won't do anything! Our vessels are protected 24/7 thanks to the Revolutionary Navy, Anagonian, Gonswanzan, and a few more states that lend and cooperated with their navies! There have been many rumors of a counter-invasion of Australia taking place in the coming days, however this is not confirmed.

The nuclear weapon used by the Australian Empire is on the scale of weapons never used in combat before. It was intercepted in air about ten miles from the Hawaiian archipelago, but still nearly destroyed the Island of Hawaii. Casualty numbers are not yet known, but experts suspect it could be in the tens of thousands, including injuries. It caused major damage to several embassies on the island, including the Federation’s and the NSAR’s. Horror and shock is abound in the Republic tonight, as news has reached the usually politically illiterate and ignorant population of the NSAR states that NSAR Ambassadors Larry Hitchens and Randy Phillips, up to this point almost nameless cogs in the recently enlargened NSAR diplomatic machine, have been killed in a nuclear explosion in a far off and unheard of land of 'Hawaii'.

The two ambassadors, Phillips himself the NSAR's representative to that TPA thing we've been hearing about, were living it up in what we're told was the peaceful and tropical paradise of 'Hawaii', a series of islands far out into the mutated and vast seas of the Pacific Ocean. That was, until a big cold hit of reality entered their little slice of paradise by the name of warfare by the dirty Australians who we may now live in fear of as it turns out they did survive the nuclear holocaust of centuries ago and are now gunning for our nation's freedom by invading Hawaii and killing our representatives in nuclear hellfire.

Colonel Alexandra O'Hallahan of the New San Andreas Republic Army, in her touching and somewhat uncomfortable speech on the matter, explained "Yes, we can confirm that in the nuclear explosion that occurred in Hawaii last night, two representatives of the NSAR were killed in a horrific attack in a first for the Republic and possibly in North American history as a whole. Australians, up to this point, were somewhat of a folklore figure in NSAR life. A story of boogeymen told to young Brahmin farm children to get them to shut up and sleep, a scary figure and legend told from the Old World of bizarre, crocodile-tooth wearing 'blokes' with scary accents who boxed kangaroos and lived upside down. Now? We know they still exist, and despite our ancestors best attempts to contain them, they are desperate to end the world all over again by nuking a nation we were apparently allies with.

This news has also corresponded with unexplained 'redeployments' of Veteran Rangers from the fight against the Legion in the Senora Wasteland, as it is rumored that they will be sent over to this 'Hawaii' place in some kind of revenge for the loss of these two ambassadors. Oh yeah, and before I forget to write it, my thoughts and prayers are with their families yadda yadda, I'm sure everyone elses are too. They will probably receive a state funeral, where the proud two-headed Beaver flag will be draped over their coffins. The Janpian Union of Government Workers Party would like to commend the people and government of Greater Sirne for recognizing the values of democracy and their will to see the truth. Furthermore, their judgement based on morals, truth, and understanding is admirable, given that they have chosen to remove support on what clearly is an imperialist state, despite their strong remarks and statements from their early course of actions. The office of the People's Marshal has signalled victory over the Marajarbian attempt to contain Janpian shipping by noting that the DBS document has no active signatories, along with having no Janpian vessels being interdicted compared to the Marajarbian side. This is all possible with the help of the KTO states and its affiliates, which helped protect Janpian vessels and increase Janpian trade rates. However, the fight is not yet over, given that the Marajarbian government has yet to provide a response to the Olpen trial, along with having no sense or signs of democracy in their state organs. It is obvious that the Marajarbian government has fallen much faster thanks to the recently chosen emperor, who removed the mask of democracy, showcasing the face of oppression and fascism.

Captain Chapayev Leonidovich and Naval Task Force Exeter recently encountered what was called by the Admiralty of the Confederate Navy, a "Pleasant Surprise". Chief Admiral Dave Evans gave a report of the incident to Confederate Military News over the internet.

"At 0500 hours on August 20th, the CSS Exeter Naval Task Force came within fifty nautical miles of the Gonswanzan Naval Superdreadnought Alicorn," reported the Chief Admiral during the virtual interview. "Captain Leonidovich successfully initiated proper protocols for communication and strategic positioning to avoid the path of the Alicorn and forwarded the new tracking path to Naval Task Force Glassford and afterward a suggested change of patrol routes to the Admiralty, who the forwarded their recommendations to me. I have since approved the suggested change of patrol routes to accommodate our KTO allies and the spacing necessary for their assets."

When asked if the Chief Admiral was in direct contact with the Armed Republic concerning current issues, he replied that, "Contact had been made and is continuing to be utilized as the situation develops."

Later in the day, the Confederate Military News was able to have a virtual interview with Captain Chapayev Leonidovich. He had this to say in regards to the incident.

"It was a pleasant surprise," Captain Leonidovich remarked during the interview over the internet. "The Captain of the Alicorn is a real treat. The incident was brushed off easily and quite jovially. Initially, upon first contact, we thought we had missed a sizable island chain on our nautical charts. I sent an air asset to investigate which was issued a challenge. We then initiated face-to-face contact over video feed with the Alicorn and shared necessary information about our current patrol routes. It was a very wonderful conversation and we worked out together the best possible changes for both of us to avoid any further close contact situations. When asked what the discussion between the Captain of the Alicorn and himself had been, Captain Leonidovich simply remarked, "It was polite banter and I quite enjoyed it."

The Confederate Navy currently operates a ship similar to the Alicorn. Purchased around a year ago as a package of three from the Allanean Defense Exports, only one of the three of the Hood-class Superdreadnoughts has so far been delivered to the Confederate Navy. The CSS Sovereign represents the first line of defense against possible hostilities within the Gothic region, which has almost always been dominated by super-capital warships. Up until the introduction and finalization of the Gothica-class Fast Battleship - dictated as a Super Battleship in Naval records - under a joint project between the navies of the Confederate States of Anagonia and the Meritocratic Union of Marquesan, the Confederate Navy had no adequate combantant available to challenge possible Super-Capital threats. The CSS Sovereign represents what the Confederate Navy terms as an "adequate counter" to such threats.

Marajarbian Imperialists and Namaprikan Rebels Declared Terrorist Groups by Supreme Soviet

As news of the ongoing crisis in the region of Namaprika has continued to come in, the Supreme Soviet has once again convened an emergency meeting. The actions of the Namaprikan rebels and their allied Marajarbian belligerents have escalated to shocking and severe war crimes and crimes against humanity. In response to this, by unanimous vote, the Supreme Soviet of the YSSR has officially designated the Marajarbian Imperialists led by warlord Daniel Thomas and the illegitimate state of Namaprikan as terrorist organizations.

"Daniel Thomas seems hellbent on proving to the world that he is not willing to follow any law, that he is not able to repect any human being other than himself," Chairman Taihau told a YNIS reporter. "He is a loose cannon, one of the most dangerous men in the world, if not THE most dangerous at the moment. His intention to hold the world hostage and force a Marajarbian global hegemony over all nations and peoples has not gone unheard."

The decision to declare both groups terrorist organizations comes in the wake of a series of horrific executions by the Namaprikan Rebels, in which anyone seen as a "traitor" was set on fire and pushed from the highest skyscraper in Cape Town. Questions have been raised if these executions were influenced by the totalitarianist Marajarbian Imperialists, who have been heavily investing in the Namaprikan Rebels and sending their own civilian colonial subjects to colonize an active warzone. Warlord Daniel Thomas's use of colonial subjects as expendable pawns in their conquests have not gone unnoticed and has been thoroughly condemned by the Supreme Soviet as a "gross violation of human rights" and "the acts of an old colonial rapist".

As part of the decision to designate the Marajarbian Imperialists and Namaprikan Rebels as terrorists, the Soviet Socialist Republic of Yitanka has begun mobilizing a task force to intervene in the Namaprikan Crisis. We must band together to stop this would-be world conqueror at the gate. We must not fall into the same traps of appeasement and wishful thinking that gave us a Second World War. There can be no diplomacy with a man who sees himself as the rightful King of the World."

Due to the unprecedented events of the past week, the Supreme Soviet has agreed to hold daily sessions until the Marajarbian Crisis is resolved.

The communications officer misreads the " general infantry ammunition" code for the "general artillery ammunition" code. The airdrop arrives just as the soldiers run out of ammo. When they open the drop, all they see is crates full of HE Artillery shells. The officers in the fort, after discussing possible solutions, decide to take 400 of the remaining 2,918 infantry, and one of their most respected officers and lead a bayonet charge whilst the rest escape. Once the evacuation is finished, they will be given the evacuation order. So the 400 men fix bayonets and charge. Only to be greeted with Khornate. They expected their numbers to be shaved down after the fighting between the 2 cultist groups, but it seemed like there was more. The evacuation is almost a failure. The evacuating soldiers leave behind most of their equipment and many carry only knives and bayonets, some officers carry sabres. Most rank and file ditch helmets, rifles, chest rigs and vests, along with anything that added any unneeded weight. In the panic about 3/4 make it out before the 400 covering the evacuation are all killed. the remaining 1/4 are trapped and killed. The disaster at Xiamen and the hordes of Khornate are reported by the survivors. The general on the flagship decide to contact krieg and ask for a suitable area to set up a beachhead.

For the first time in the history of the empire, a referendum on an amendment to the nation's Constitution, known as the Basic Rights Of Makko Oko, has been officially announced and introduced by the Emperor themselves. The nation is in shock from the news, with #RefSolis trending on MakBook, reaching the #1 spot in under an hour, a new record for any trend in the history of MakBook. OkoTV News asked many local citizens what they thought about this referendum and over 90% of the responses were generally the same, stating "It's crazy, I don't know if this is the same leader we've had since the war, or if they got replaced by a lookalike". Some however have shared concerns, stating a conspiracy that the government plans to arrest anybody who votes "No" in the referendum, but many do not agree, and the government has refused to comment on the matter.

Handling the once-in-a-lifetime referendum is the Ministry Of Internal Security, who is having their offices opened to the public and will be temporarily converted into voting offices, where one may place their vote in the referendum. Miguel Kellison, the Minister Of Internal Security, has stated that "Due to the rarity that comes with an event such as this, the government, including our own ministry, has not prepared to secure it, and as such, this event, the voting, must be done in person, and online and phone voting are forbidden."

The constitutional referendums to be voted on would be 3, those being:

#1 - Mandatory Appearance For Court Clause, to be codified into Section 5
#2 - A Constitutional Ban On Foreign Titles, Including King/Queen
#3 - Constitutionally Established Procedures For Referendums Of Any Kind

Miguel Kellison went on to state that "As far as I'm aware, more changes may be implemented than what is to be voted on in this referendum, and this referendum, is merely to get opinions on the people's thoughts of constitutional changes", hinting that the government wants to prevent another incident such as the July 2022 Constitutional Protests which wrecked havoc on the nation. The vote is slated to begin tomorrow, August 22nd, and go through the end of the week, but it is said that it could end sooner if enough data is gathered.

NCB Officials Convicted In Black Market Ring

Today, the Emperor, in their official capacity as Chief Justice of the Inspectorate's Court Of Makko Oko, released the official ruling on the case of the NCB officials running the black market ring that was previously reported on. In the 630-page ruling, the Chief Justice, along with the presiding judges, stated that all of the NCB officials were found guilty on all charges, and that 11 of them had obtained a plea bargain with the Emperor's Prosecution Service to get downgraded charges. The Emperor's Prosecution Service wasn't available for comment on the plea bargains.

For the 11 plea bargained NCB officials, they received the lesser charges of "Conspiracy To Steal Government Property" and "Conspiring Against The Government", with the internet charge dropped completely. They all received similar sentences of 20-45 years imprisonment, without hard labor. Meanwhile, for the rest of them, they all received sentences upwards of 40-60 years imprisonment, with hard labor. Justice has played its part and the black market ring is dead, but given the plea bargains, we may be seeing more arrests soon.

A large beachhead has been set up for Krieg allies at Qingdao, being guarded by an entire regiment of Krieg Armored, along with 2 Baneblades. An Airfield has been converted to be used for the military to land their aircraft for bombing runs against Shanghai, with Krieg citing the major Tzeentchian base near the city as an excuse, wanting to scorch the city to the ground. In other news, an announcement has been made by Lanok, stating that a policy of zero mercy shall be made to the city of Shanghai in exactly 24 hours, if everyone has not evacuated from it. 2 regiments have already surrounded Shanghai, confirming the fears many in Krieg-controlled China had of the Cult now having a Virus Bomb captured from Krieg's facility. An entire division was being announced to be made for the PDF (Planetary Defense Force) entirely created of Militias, as 4 intelligence centers throughout Southern China have stated that there is a major fear of the cults succeeding in their goal of bringing entities from the warp.
