If you'd like something that's a bit more Burtonesque and takes itself less seriously, but still has a gothic setting and themes, my horror cartoon crossover RP might be good for you.

Oh? Well, by all means. Lead the way, good sir.

That was our most recent, and successful, iteration. Don't worry if it seems intimidating - a good portion turned out to be extraneous, and buildings are just variations of a template anyway. It had some balance issues, sure, but things like that can always be worked out. Props to Hark for making it, BTW, before someone claims I'm stealing credit.

Does anybody know how to prevent a role-play from dying too early? As in, what do you all think makes for an engaging role-play?

I know in mechanics-based things, it helps to let the players create their own individual piece of the game, and I know in story based RP's, it helps to have an engaging OP. But really, if I could answer that question, I would be the king of NS.

Thanks! Here's some of the franchises we'll probably include, along with Zombie Hotel and Danny Phantom. My idea is an international organization contacts and recruits all these different characters, in order to keep a track of dangerous supernatural threats.

I just wanted to mention that Batman is stooping down with his hands on the ground, which is not exactly keeping their shoulders up. A harmless piece of random wordplay.

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST
Please provide as much detail as possible.
RP's Overarching Concept: Basically myself and one or two others are interested in bringing this back (This RP OOC: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=304193 IC: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=304479) However we want to do it in a way that's sustainable and doesn't have to keep timeskipping, as I know some wanted plot! Plot! Plot! and be fast paced while others were happy with a day to day school based RP in the Harry Potter World. It's hard really to put the concept into words as to be fair we know the setting it's more the mechanics and advice on running it we need.
Genre/s: Fantasy Harry Potter in particular
Character or Faction Based: Character
Detailed Description: Day to Day school based RP set in the Harry Potter world and at Hogwarts in particular, with possibly some plot if doable but not at the expense of everything else.

Need Help With: Structuring and Pacing the RP, help in running it if anybody would be interested and general pointers as not really used to running an RP as it were. No doubt there's likely some other things I'd need help with but I need to start somewhere!

Please leave this hashtag in place: #Mentorhelp
