It is a long distance, and I have to take my bookbag, which wouldn't help my balance at all...

How far is it? Also riding with a pack on takes practice but you'll be able to get used to it.

Several miles.

Lets see...

35mph
15 minutes to get there

35mph/15min = 35mph/0.25h = 8.75 miles, if I did the math right (no calculator).

So going a conservative 10mph, that's about around a 45 minute ride. That's actually not too bad assuming you can get up early to do it. Be good exercise. Plus you'll be able to improve that time as you go on. Bit far too make it the primary means of travel though. And would need to have something better in case of inclement weather. www

There is also no sidewalk on these roads (which are pretty damn hilly, as I live in Tennessee), so there's a safety concern as well...

And as for getting up that early, I'd literally have to leave the house at 7am just to get there for 7:50 (I'm adding an extra 5 minutes for going slower than 10mph).

Would've been a slightly better idea in Louisiana, though my school there was about 30 minutes from Ruth and Haskel's house...

Yeah, I have a half hour bike ride to work and back each day. It's a bit hard, and will be unpleasant (the bike ride to my old job was unpleasant in winter too, but it was only fifteen minutes) in the (Chicago) winter, what with all the snow and ice and biting winds, but it keeps me in pretty good shape and releases lots of nice endorphins.

45 minutes to and from school for me. Really sucks when there is a lot of traffic.

OH no sidewalk. Yeah then its probably not the best thing to bike.

Yeah, I remember it, and the reason why.Is there a reason you're talking in 1st person as opposed to the usual 3rd person?

Grenartia wrote:Kinda sucked. They told me the bus was supposed to come at 7:22, so I left at 7:13 or so, and it doesn't take more than 3 minutes to get there, and its a pretty damn straight shot from my house to the stop, so I should've seen it if it came before.

I'm quite frankly upset that I had to get mom to take me, which made her late for work, because my school is 15 minutes in the opposite direction from her work (which is about an hour away, anyways) when the buses aren't running, and the school zones aren't in effect (which are areas of the road where kids frequently wait for the bus, and areas of the road adjacent to the schools, so one must slow to a crawl in those areas).

So, yeah, I'm mad.

:(
I am sorry.

I think its kind of sweet that you're leaving it up to them. It makes it sort of a symbolic rebirth too.

Three blind mice. Three blind mice.
See how they bob. See how they bob.
They all bob up and down in the jar,
With cut off tails and nails of pupils,
Did you ever see such a sight in your life,
As three blind mice?
