in full honesty, any fandom or artstyle that anthropomorphizes things, including the furry fandom, can either hit hard as fuck or be eye-searing to look at. no in-between. furry art tends to fall in the latter camp but i'm not gonna lie and say i haven't seen furry art that's cold as shit.

i think the best example of anthro art being either really good or really bad are pokemon gijinkas. there are some really good gijinkas out there and there are some absolutely dreadful ones, but i don't think i've ever seen an "eh" gijinka.
