As for nationalism, he turned a mostly sane form it ("we want to defend our country and population against the League of Kings") into a fanatical madness ("let's just conquer all of Europe and I don't care what the cost will be or if my soldiers will all freeze to death because Russia is cold in winters").

Equality under the law ? He re-established slavery, and pushed the civil code that made women subservient of their father and then husbands.

Religious freedom ? Well, he made back Catholicism a State religion, and barely tolerated other religions.

Outlawed torture ? Nope, was done by the Revolution before him. Hence the guillotine - a painless (as much as possible) way to execute people, instead of tortures that were used during Ancien Régime.

Gave Jews equal rights ? Nope, that was Robespierre, giving them rights to vote and considering them citizens like any other. Napoleon imposed them strict conditions if they wanted to keep that status.
