I've seen rich people compare themselves to Jews living in Nazi Germany. These people are so fucking privileged that they can't even comprehend what REAL hardship is.

Once you realize they actually believe those actuarial estimates for the value of a human life, it makes more sense. Taking enough money from these people is completely morally equivalent, in their minds, with hurting or killing them. That's how divorced from humanity and reality they are. They're making comparisons to the Capitol (and the Holocaust and 9/11 and whatever else I'm sure someone is saying sincerely somewhere) because they have a concept of a real exchange rate between wealth and human lives, so their money being "killed" is actually as bad and shocking to them as people getting killed at the Capitol or the Twin Towers.

These people have no idea why the normal folk hate the hedge funds. They don't understand at all. They think they can smear them and the problem will go away, instead, they'll just show everyone how vapid the smears were all along.

Interesting times.

MAGA has almost always been anti Wallstreet. I know many Trump supporters and they hate Wallstreet as much as I do, and that's the only thing we share in common.

Eh. They say that, and then turn around and support a party and leaders who consistently put Wall Street's interests above all others, so I don't know if this is really reasonable to say. Maybe they mean it in the moment they say it, but clearly it's something they've always been willing to compromise on.

Even better if it is - as it seems to be - many randos in their respective moms' basements.

I know not everyone agrees with the Keynesian logic I sprout out of my big mouth hole, but consider this: which of these sounds like the more profitable clientele for small businesses: some rando holding on to $14 billion in equities, or a million ordinary people who suddenly have spending money to pad out their lives with?

See that's the other big win I see about this, most of these Market people whatever profits they make go right back into the market, very little of the money on Wall Street ever trickles down into main street anymore, and that's why for the most part Wall Street doesn't care about their winning and losing usually because the money stays inside the closed system.

In this case though whatever money Wall Street loses isn't going right back into more Investment gambling, these ordinary people are taking their Wall Street winnings out of the market, they're buying things on Main Street they're paying off debts, THAT'S TAKING AWAY THE MONEY.

For Wall Street Traders to them as long as the gambling is "In house" they get a chance to win the money back, now these outsiders are here and they're cashing out and leaving the building!

Robinhood alternatives

Stock trading alternatives to RobinHood:

TD Ameritrade(GME back up for trading)
Vanguard
Fidelity (seems to be back up and running right now)
Schwab (tested, works, just flooded with traffic, otherwise quick setup and wire transfers)
FreeTrade (Hassle free account creation, 10 minute setup time, instant transfers. Down side- $10/mo fee to use)
Sofi
Etoro (Has allowed GME trades again, be aware this is the 4th time I've had to change their status, they keep dropping and picking up GME)
US BANK (has an investment tool, quick sign up, plus since it's already connected to your US bank account, purchasing should be instant)
Navy Federal- Note Quick to make, but bank deposits take several days. Probably not best option for current stock boogaloo, but might be good for PT2 if there is one
Wellstrade (Doesn't seem to be down at the moment, but may have high fees and has past history of suspending stocks due to volatility)
Capital.com (Supposedly very quick and easy to sign up and start investing)

Trading apps to avoid-

RobinHood More like Robbin' the poor
Webull (also blocked GME etc.)
Cash App (has hidden GME)
Trading212 (Blocked buying of GME)
Merrill Lynch
IBKR (has blocked GME)
Ally Invest (formerly TradeKing)
Etrade (Apparently blocking GME and AMC at the moment)
Tastyworks (Blocked meme stocks)
Stash
M1 Finance (Appears to be blocking/has one trade window per day at 9:30am, possible this platform was just not built for rapid trading)
Alpaca (blocked meme stocks)

as a jew I find the holocaust being invoked constantly to be incredibly degrading, its one of the laws of the internet, if you compare someone to hitler or invoke the holocaust you have lost the argument. Also im pretty sure that germany was crippled by ww1 debt not shorts being squeezed
