Most of the Bibles I've seen have been on the order of meters, not inches.

The Philippines being a Christian country, the Gideons would of course have a Bible placed in some of the hotels, or at least I assumed so -- I never did inquire whether the hotel in question had a pro-Gideon policy or not, but at any event all the Bibles I found in my lodgings were printed by the Gideons.
In any case, I love the idea of a book in every hotel room. Not just the Bible, but a random selection of the world's literature, including titles by world-renowned authors and those by relative newcomers, pious and secular tracts alike.

I'd be more than a little surprised if there were some facsimile Codex Gigas' in hotel rooms, especially if they were put there by the Gideons, as it'd likely bankrupt them.

Either we have all, or most, scriptures (as well as secular writings), or none at all.
Well, remember, the Bibles are provided free of charge, it's not some requirement for them to have them. If some Islamic organization wants to do the same and can get hotels to accept them, fine.
