Voting by democratic mean in capitalist countries can mean a lot of difference. Imagine having laws that negatively impact you and people you love because you were too selfish to vote. You would pressured to vote by your friends and family, video games would be vilified in the society you are talking about. I am showing you that video games are not as positive as you may think they are.

I disagree, video games are a very positive thing. In fact, one of the world's most positive things.

Voting on the other hand, makes no difference for the one person

if the government truly sought to oppress you, your one vote would still not make a difference (although a collection might, but as an individual, you have no control over that)

people don't typically provide citations for basic propositions

voting is commonly said to ''give people a voice''... yet if the end result of a single person in voting or not voting is the same (the same party would end up elected and they would be free to institute their own policies in the end), its as good as not having a voice

the consequence is the same for any single person

I don't care. You talked about the stated objective of voting. Maybe this is another English turn of phrase that you're having trouble with, but if there is a stated objective of voting then that objective must have been stated. Cite it.

voting is commonly said

So no official statement from any person in a position of authority to make a statement on the objective of voting.

I'm getting it from regular discourse

So , the stated objective of voting that you are talking about is not actually an objective that has been stated. When you talk about "the stated objective" of voting, what you are referring to is your own personal opinion on what that objective is. So anything you have to say about the stated objective of voting is of no more consequence than if you hypothetically saying "I don't like voting".

It's("it's" means "it is", "its" means "belonging to it") stated in regular conversation that McDonalds burgers contain no meat, their nuggets contain no chicken, and their fries contain no potato. I'm sure you don't accept any of those things as being true. Hopefully you will understand that I similarly don't accept that the stated objective of voting is what you claim is regularly stated about it.

Exactly why I give no weight to what you claim to be the stated objective of voting, as you would not give weight what other people had to say about what McDonalds makes their food out of when you could read the ingredients on their website or in one of their restaurants.

The answer is obvious: Video Games, because I'm still waiting for Half-Life 3.

In all seriousness, I don't really play video games other than Minecraft, Skyrim, and SWKOTR, and occasionally Kerbal Space Program. Even when I do, overall it's infrequent. Voting is clearly the more important option, and something I hold dear.

what is so precious about your individual right to cast a non-determinative ballot? that you would forsake a concrete right and ability to play games that are fun?
