Unless there's an Atheist Counter-Crusade of 1120 we missed.

Religion isn't inherently detrimental to society.

Fine, not inherent.

Still is detrimental to society after the fact.

Just don't spread around hate and intolerance and you're okay in my book, regardless of faith. You could be Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Atheist, etc. After all, the often spoken rule about polite conversation is to stay away from the topics of Religion and/or Politics when in mixed company.

As for what will convince me? Nothing. I spent the worst, absolute worst period of my life as an atheist: living in constant fear, hatred, anger, and depression. But G-d never ceased to help me, even after I lost my faith. I will never lose it again. Never.

Americans, hands off Ukraine and let Russia do what they will in their own sphere of influence! You are not the world's police!

U.S.A.

My Nation does NOT reflect my actual political views.
Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible principled egalitarian with few strong convictions.

It's fine. Atheists and atheists are completely fine. It's a choice to not live by religious ideals or dogma's. and that's completely acceptable, harmless and should never be looked on as a crime.

It's just that overzealous militant douchebags are just as prevalent in atheism as in other religions. And militants are too high and mighty to admit that.

True most of them don't kill people, they're too cynical for that. But the amount of jaw dropping hatred and ignorance that leaves their mouths is just as bad as any other militant religious sect. Kind of like the Westboro Baptist Church, they say horrible things but they never act on it, and somehow that makes them different from other extremists.

keep in mind I'm only talking about radical atheism.

Most of the atheists I've ever had contact with are a******s.

Tried being an atheist for a little while. Didn't like it. Made my existence, past, present, and future, feel pointless.

(I can't be religious, I believe in evolution and science! <--- Basically what one atheist said to me a few years back.)

Ah, I can see that.

Sadly, lots of Christians fail at it. Honestly, you read the Bible, and take it as a whole. Levitical law is all but irrelevant to Christianity, but it is part of the Bible because the Torah is a section of the Bible, like a compare and contrast between Old and New Testaments. The new Law is to "Love those who hate you; bless those who curse you; pray for those who persecute you."

That is true. Christians should look at atheism as misguided pagan secularism. There's always a chance for salvation, even for the most zealous of anti-Christians - take the Saul, for instance. Originally he was a persecutor of Christians, but he saw Christ in a vision en route to Damascus, and there he called himself Paul, and became an Apostle. He went from the main persecutor of Christianity to the main spreader of Christianity after just one encounter with the Lord, Jesus Christ.
