Nobody said that Texas must be promoting creationism in every textbook. Americans had this same discussion some sixty years ago, when evolution was first placed in some state curriculums. It wasn't promoted, merely taught as another popular theory.

Creationism has no valid evidence. It's pointless and time consuming to teach all these different theories when the correct one is right in front of us.
