I don't think it is up to the government to force the church to legalize same sex marriage. I think the church should decide for themselves if it should be legal or not. So I do not see this as a good thing. But nevermind, I never liked Denmark anyway.

Except there are no civil marriages. Those don't exist in Denmark. Once they have separation of church and state (and they probably will sometime soon, seeing as how Norway just did it) there will be. Until then, this is quite good.

The Danish church is prerogative of the Danish King (Or Queen, currently) who through our constitution delegates power to the government and the parliament.
What the Danish government mandates in religious terms is law in the Church of Denmark.

It's even the minister of church who oversees editions of the Bible (Though I guess not personally).

Also, I am very happy for this. I'm conservative enough to think that gay sex is disgusting, but I don't want to be in way of peoples' love. My personal preference shouldn't be the all-or-nothing line of conformism.
