Flamebait: Posts that are made with the aim of angering someone indirectly. Not outright flame, but still liable to bring angry replies. Flame baiting is a far more subtle and covert action; it is an underhanded tactic that is designed to provoke a response from another player. It's in the same context of trolling but with flamebaiting it's just the one person.

Probably not the place for kiss-and-tell. Undermining our current Mods once the jacket comes off would be rather poor form.

It would indeed. And I've already confirmed that nothing of the sort will be happening now, or in the future. Shabby treatment of oneself is never an excuse to break one's word, in my opinion. Disagreements will happen. And again, that is his prerogative to choose who will and who will not have access to the mod tools on his site. It was a crap way to go about it, but again, his choice as site owner.
Thanks Jen, Arch - you're both rather awesome people, yaknow? Of course, if folks haven't seen that already, I dunno what to say. The RP that Jen has been involved in has reached areas of creativity and creepiness that I continue to be in awe of and respect. And Arch - what can one say for our resident Indiana Jones? A class act, through and through. Take care, the both of you. I hope all the things you've had going on outside of the game go well for you.
Justin states, Bhang Bhang Duc, The V O I D - again, many thanks.

Though Nathi's tone can occasionally be acerbic, this shouldn't obscure that she is, in essence, a generous and warm-hearted person; it's unfortunate that more people haven't had the opportunity to see this gentler side.
I wish her all the best in her future endeavours, both on-site and off.

You've woven yourself into the history of NationStates ( being an active, integral part of the mod team does that sort of thing) and now we can all be old geezers remembering "back when Nathi was a mod",
Hope to see you around, though I'm not sure if you want to enter the insanity that WorldVision is sometimes

P2TM has claimed her as our own. She's already getting a front row seat to insanity.
CVT Temp wrote:I mean, we can actually create a mathematical definition for evolution in terms of the evolutionary algorithm and then write code to deal with abstract instances of evolution, which basically equates to mathematical proof that evolution works. All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.
