NS Summer X-Games II

Postby Qazox » Tue Aug 02, 2011 10:30 pm

It's about that time.

To see the impossible become possible.

To see things no one had ever thought possible.

To see the best Skaters, Bikers and Boarders compete for glory.

To see X-Games II.

Qazox will be hosting the second NS X-Games! Signups will start tonight and last until 1:00am EDT August 18th, with an expected start date of August 20th/21st. A full schedule of events will be posted within the week, and expect the X-Games to last for approximately 5 to 9 days, depending primarily on the number of sign-ups and secondarily the number of athletes participating in each event. I do have Jury Duty on the 23rd, so the 22nd will be an off day from any scorination.

Any nation can sign-up, but wthin the limits set below: (Rosters due by August 18th @ 1:00 am EDT)

SKILL MODIFIERS:
Every athlete you sign up needs to have modifier between 0.00 and 1.00. The higher the number the more likely that athlete will do better in that event, but it is not a guarentee. The total average of your delegation must be 0.50. It can be lower than 0.50, but not higher than that. If it is I will ask you to re-check your delegation and correct your mistake before the Games begin. If you have not done so by the beginning of the Games, I will correct it for you by reducing your delegation's average until it is 0.50.

MAXIMUM DELEGATION LIMITS
A maximum delegation shall consist of NO MORE than Eighty-Four (84) athletes. At a mininum, a delegation must have at least one athlete in all four (4) of the disiplines (Skateboarding, In-line Skating, BMX, Moto X). Any nation failing to met the mininum will be given until the start of the Games to correct the problem. If that nation has not done so by the start of the Games, they WILL NOT be allowed to compete. The Rally Racing participants can be subsituted for ONLY ONE of the 4 disiplines listed above. In the co-ed Events, at least ONE competitior MUST be female.

The latest edition of Xkoranate will be used to scorinate this.
Here is a sample scorination of one event, Men's Halfpipe with 5 competitiors.

Based upon scores I've seen on ESPN.com the results below are within a statistical possibility.

I separated the 5 by decreasing each entry by 0.03 points starting at .95 for Alpha and ending with 0.83 for Epsilon. The Max score is 60.00.

I'd prefer NOT to have any, but will allow them to sign-up, understanding that a puppet might not be able to compete, unless needed to fill out an event.
