They have more powers than us regulars do. I used to posts at least 100 post per day with Christantle and other puppets.
What I mean is, they shouldn't have a limit.

Well....With the amount of mods there are....and the amount of problems that arise.....I think 200 per day would be reasonable. We're rather hard to keep in line.

Depends on how you look at it. IIRC, Melk is part of the trio of the very first Mods-as-we-now-know-them.

Technically, [violet] would be the oldest Mod as she and Max started the whole thing, but she's an Admin so... again, depends on how you look at it.

Technically speaking, the first three were [violet], [dredd], and [mantle]. The first that were actually appointed to moderate were Melkor, Menelmacar (now retired) and Demoness (now retired, don't think she plays NS anymore). I was part of the second batch along with the likes of Hack and Yavin, if I recall correctly.

There were three in the very beginning -- [violet] (whom you know), [dredd] (who focused mostly on technical stuff) and [mantle] (who theoretically focused more on the forums... I think... I don't recall ever seeing a post by [mantle], actually, although they could have been lost in the various purges). The first mod selected from the playerbase was Melkor iirc, part of a group of several moderators promoted in March 2003 or thereabouts.
