There's a difference between setting up your nation to have a spacefleet, and pulling one out of your ass because you feel like beating someone. Admittedly, the latter might be happening here, but that's because nobody is taking this seriously.

Let me explain this carefully.

This thread is in International Incidents. That means it's a Roleplay. A Roleplay is when two or more players decide to play the role of their nation in a specific situation, like a war, or an arranged marriage between the Prince of Nation A and the Princess of Nation B (yes, that happens here).

In this thread, because your nation practices child prostitution and other nations don't like that, you've... threatened other nation with orbital weapons? I don't really understand where you want this to go, but okay.

Now, as I said earlier, the first rule of NS Roleplay is no godmodding. Godmodding is controlling any aspect of another player's nation without their permission. "I kill all your soldiers, your leaders surrender" is godmodding. So is this:

Your total population, civilian and military combined, is only 9.811 billion. So sayeth your page, and so it is canon.

That's godmodding[b] because you are controlling another player's population without their permission. United Colonies of Earth roleplays as a space nation with 600 billion people, and you are trying to force UCE to roleplay with only 9.8 billion, without their permission. You see?

And let's get this straight: Those numbers on the NS page are not canon, not for 99% of the players that roleplay on NS.

Well, I can't prove that you don't... but you can't prove that you do, either. You don't have it in a factbook on your nation, you don't have a record of consistently roleplaying with that, and frankly, I don't want to roleplay with a nation that uses 999 quadrillion battleships of any kind.

On the other hand, I have it in numerous factbooks (which you can access from my nation page) that I have a fleet of thousands of FTL ships, I have a consistent record of roleplaying as such so I didn't just make it up on the spot to show how much bigger I am than you, and frankly, dozens, if not hundreds, of other players have decided to roleplay with me... why? Because I don't [b]godmod and I don't wank.

What's wank? Wank is making up bulls*** just to be better than other people, like saying you have 999 quadrillion battleships just to beat someone. There's honestly a lot of wank in this thread, and not just from you. Roleplaying as a large powerful nation isn't wank... But you can't just say your nation is great and has X simply to be large and powerful. My nation has thousands of spaceships, yes. Why? Because we are nomads... most nations have planets, we literally live on ships and fly around from system to system harvesting more minerals. I didn't make up that thousands figure just to be better, rather, I've consistently roleplayed my nation that way.

The basic idea of NS roleplay is to have fun in creative ways. Throwing bigger numbers around isn't fun. So, I ask again, are you interested in a serious roleplay, or are the numbers on the NS Nation pages the only thing you care about?
