AN/PSQ-23 knockoff, which when Kayora is using it while plugged into a decent inertial guidance system [DAGR], provides some pretty scary results.
Stats-wise, going to use the commercial Vector 21

When the current ones are done, so we can fix the issue of making a new mission every time we get a couple new people.
Though, I think Firestorm is basically done, right?
Blind Knife is still happening.
What about Jackel?
Leningrad just started.

So Leningrad doesn't need new players or no?

Rangefinders aren't comms gear. I suppose Kayora could use one for comms, if she can hold it steady enough, but to hit a large (2m diameter receiver) low flying (100 kilometers away) satellite, she'd need to hold it within ±5.7 thousandths of a degree, which I think is beyond even her. And that only covers outgoing communications. How does she listen for a reply?
Also, I don't know if the AN/PSQ-23 has enough power to penetrate the atmosphere. I think you need ~2 watts for that on a clear day, and a lot more if it's cloudy or rainy (there's a storm going on in Blind Knife right now).

Neglecting a thing called beam-divergence, giving her about 5 to 15 mils of wiggle-room. But yeah, power-requirements and visual sat-tracking abilities would be tested.
-Hitting the satellite is going to be the hard part (well, not really if Nexus just uses it as an optical spy-sat and we give Nexus hand-signals) how he'd send the ground-units data is pretty easy considering the resources he has available.
Laser rangefinders imply there is a receiver-unit good for the non-visible (even to typical Night Vision) 1.5 micro-meter wavelength.
Granted, this pretty much means someone has to swath themselves in IR-stobes and make snow-angels on the rooftop, but I say it's worth looking into.

So I'm pulling my men out of Jackal. Leningrad is unworthy and wont work as an Op.
Just kickstart the main operation and long awaited Dawn Spear.

If its the link in the op, its slow. And having this many...Unsettled OP's at one time is limiting other factors. We need the next in line, an actual operation for Atlas. One similar to all before BT.
The more the RP's the more we will lose track with em'.

This is so totally relevant because here we are talking about laser comms and laser info and they just tested it and it's over 100 times faster than wi-fi speeds.
We fucking predicted the future today, gents.

Not really, you're talking about the test involving multi-colored light-pulses being transmitted through standard fiber-optics at a rate of 20 terrabytes/second, right?

No kidding. It's why I told Zovorussia what I told him.

Dawn Spear is OS's OP, right? He's on hold for a while, so we'd have to move on to another.
I've an idea or two...
Just. Be Prepared.

Shush. You don't even known what they are or what happens. I've kept it secret. Only Emmy and I know.
Also, there was a 5-part story arc that was going to completely change Task Force Atlas, but it has to be held off for a while.
Actually... I've been doing part one of that arc in the Bar and Grill. The Genesis Posts.

I was comparing them from the url pictures and names. Not even guessing.
