The Empress Meiji Cultural Brotherhood Rating (EMCBR)
Given out by the Japanese Board of International Cultural Cooperation to foreign media that depicts characters of ethnic groups that are currently under the flag of the Union ("Five Bands of Freedom")
The EMCBR is rated on a scale of 0 to 100, with each cultural depiction recieving a score for accuracy of cultural customs, how bad the stereotype is, racist behavior, and things of that nature.
Among the worst rated include "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with a R0 rating (Refused rating - 0), after Japanese outrage at the depiction of Japanese landlord I.Y.Yunioshi, and "South Park" which shares the R0 rating.
Other major cultural things with an EMCBR rating for example, the Canadian television show "Kappa Mikey", depicting a Canadian boy starring in a "Japanese anime", recieved an "Okay" (75/100) rating from the board, which expressed that while the show portrayed Japan in a positive light, parts of it were trivially stereotypical and childish. Other examples include "Puffy AmiYumi", which aired on Confederate television (83/100), "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots", an album by Confederate musical band "The Flaming Lips" (92/100), and "La Japonaise" by Catalan opera singer Monserrat Caballe and British musician Freddie Mercury (95/100).
The currently highest rated EMCBR rating is a two-way tie between Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid films (99.85), and Mr. Sulu in Star Trek (99.85), which both recieved "Very Excellent" scores by the JBICC.
All English translations of Japanese anime are produced in Japan itself, due to Japan's strong cultural ties to the United Kingdom. Very infrequently will an anime dub or sub be produced in Canada or the United Kingdom, and never is it produced in the Confederate States.
the JBICC Guidelines on foreign adaptations forbids "censorship of Japanese content to cater to cultural sensitivities of foreign nations", meaning that if a international broadcaster wishes to air Japanese television shows or media, it must agree to the JBICC guidelines to not censor it under any circumstances.
This was affirmed by the Japanese Supreme Court in 1999 when 4Kids Entertainment sued Viz Media and demanded the right to change the anime "Pokemon" to fit Canadian and Americaner cultural sensitivities.
The Japanese Supreme Court ruled in favor of Viz Media and stated that "censorship is a violation of the Freedom of Speech in both Japan and the Confederate States, as well as Canada and Britain. Censorship will do nothing but breed ignorance and hate, and misunderstanding."
4Kids refused to distribute Pokemon after 1999, leading to Sony, Nintendo and Viz Media forming a three-way joint venture called "Nippon Entertainment America", which distributed anime and other Japanese media in North America and South America.

There is a huge market for 10 cent and 1 dollar Confederate coins in Korea now, and Japanese collectors really like the 5 cent coin. ^^

The Korean people venerate Benjamin Franklin as the "Father of New Korea". Where Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il's statues are in Pyongyang OTL, Benjamin Franklin and Kim Il-sung are there instead. Franklin Square is the name of the main square in both Seoul and Pyongyang, and the Franklin family is immensely powerful in Korea.
His tomb in Seoul has a marble statue of him holding up the Korean Peninsula.

And the Martyred Fathers are huge in the CSA. Not just Franklin and Jefferson and John Adams, but also Washington, Arnold, Samuel Adams, Thomas Paine, etc., etc.
