No, if you looked at my posts before, I asked them if they wished to vote for anything else. Sometimes people mistakenly do not include all bills in their vote and do not realize it. This is just to clarify they are not mistaken. Everyone has the perfect right not to vote for everything. By "unclear to their meanings", I mean to say that I was not sure if that was their final vote or not. I'm sorry, if I didn't make that clear....

If they do not respond by the end of the voting period, I will just add in their given votes.

read the bill you will be amazed, now let's move this to the lobby.

Just quickly, Head of the Commonwealth =/= Head of State. You can be a republic without the Queen as the head of state and still be in the Commonwealth (see South Africa and India). The Queen as the head of state only applies to Commonwealth realms which are independently governed nations that still have the Queen as the head of state, i.e Australia, Canada, New Zealand etc.

Termination of Loopholes and Judicial System Improvement Act | Urgency: Utmost | Author: Ainin [TR] | SIMBEDS Category: Senatorial Procedures
Sponsors: Geilinor [LD], The Nihilistic View [NLP], CTALNH [SAP], Belmaria [LCP]

Whereas we acknowledge the unjust and undemocratic attempts to deprive persons of their law-given rights and freedoms through the exploitation of loopholes in legislation,

Whereas we also acknowledge the fact that under current legislative circumstances

Whereas these are problems that must immediately be resolved,

The Aurentine Senate enacts the following sections into law:

Section I - On the Termination of Loopholes and Judicial System Improvement Act
1. Rights and freedoms are defined as law-given protections to individuals and organized groups thereof against maltreatment and injustice.
2. Reasonable person is defined as an adult person not affected by any mental or physical disabilities impeding rational thought, to be further determined by the judge(s) involved in a case in which this definition is invoked.
3. Any attempts to interpret this law in a manner in which the protections are rendered incapacitated or invalid, as determined by a panel of judges considering interpretation of the offending action in the eyes of a reasonable person, is conspiracy to deprive an individual of rights, a derelict.
4. Significant other is defined as any person who has great importance to an individual's life or well-being.

Section II - Second Amendment to the Judicial Act
1. The following clause shall be added to the Judicial Act.
13b. All references to "euros", in both singular and plural form, as well as to the symbol "€" and closely resembling derivatives thereof, are interpreted to be to the currency used by the European Union, and no other currency sharing its name or symbol.
2. Violations of Judicial Act Clause 13b is considered fraud.

Section III - Reasonable Acquittal
1. The following are deemed to be reasonable grounds for acquittal [1a-1c, 1e] or a reduced sentence [1d, 1f] from a court of law if proven beyond reasonable doubt.
1a. Self-defence: Self-defence is the use of reasonable and measured force against an aggressor who may be interpreted by a reasonable person as putting the life of the person, his family or his significant other in imminent danger.
As an example to base rulings on is the following: The use of a firearm to defend from an armed robbery in which the life of the person in question was in imminent theft is self-defence. Shooting an unarmed thief running away with your goods is not.
1b. Good Samaritan: A Good Samaritan, for the purpose of this act, is a person who unknowingly causes harm to a person while attempting to offer reasonable assistance to those who are injured, ill, in peril, or otherwise incapacitated.
1c. Defence of property: Defence of property is the usage of nonlethal force to stop an attempt to trespass on or otherwise violate one's property.
1d. Necessity: Necessity is defined for the purpose of this act as the commitment of a crime to escape a situation in which one's life is in imminent danger.
1e. False confession: A false confession is a confession forced by law enforcement through blackmail or other forms of coercion in which the confessor is not determined to be guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
1f. Automatism: Automatism is defined as a crime committed in which the suspect is determined not to have been in control of his mental capabilities, such as sleepwalking. This may not be interpreted to include the side-effects of the willful consumption of alcohol, tobacco and other recreational drugs.

Senator Jefferson Smith, this is the second time I have had to warn you about changing your vote. Please state your previous vote if you would like to change votes. It makes it much more inefficient to make me look back through all posts to check what your vote was. If there is a third time of this, action will be taken.
