Just like Chernobyl and Fukushima. Too risky imo

Only things that could bring a nuclear power plant down is a natural disaster or the stupidity of those working inside. Definately the safest form of power

Cherynobyl was the equivalent of picking up a book labeled HOW NOT TO RUN A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT and following all of the steps inside. Steps like intentionally shutting down safety systems, and switching of warnings. The entire thing was preventable, and the series of events that led to the disaster aren't possible in other plant designs.
Fukishima weathered a 9.0 Earthquake intact with all safety systems working flawlessly. The only reason that it failed was because the emergency generators were in the basement and got trashed by the tsunami.

Nuclear power causes the fewest deaths per energy unit of any energy source.

Sure it's efficient, we just need to fully and rigorously train employees to prevent these things. I'm just kind of wary and all, y'know?

Nuclear, wind, solar, and geothermal are the best types of energy.
As long as the regulations are tight and everybody's competent, I wouldn't mind nuclear power. As long as other methods of power generation were being explored, and nobody lived close to the power plants. Nuclear power is actually arguably the most reliable ways to power spacecraft, which makes me love it a bit.

Those two incidents couldn't be father apart. Chernobyl was the Soviets seeing just how far they could push a reactor. They found out.
The 2011 meltdown survived an 9.0 and a Tidal wave.

I've lived within twenty miles of what is currently the oldest nuclear power plant in the country for more than twenty years and I'm not dying of cancer.
My point is...what is your point?
