The UICA Race
AFC Treason have the season all but signed and sealed, a staggering 15 points ahead of the competition. Tight in both attack and defence, and refusing to accept a draw. The Moths are mostly resigned to a Globe Cup berth this season, but are keeping strong at 2nd with a strong goal difference which has been so often the key to success. Maximum City round out the top three with Paolo Crewe’s impeccable work between the posts keeping them up. Sabrefell Athletic sit fourth, just one point of goal difference over Integabad, as neither look entirely secure. South Laithland are still clawing onto sixth, on the back of a strong offense.

The Best of the Rest
Crisisbless are enjoying something of a revival under Jess Mortlock, though any chance of a Globe Cup spot is going to rest solely with their cup performances. Brinemouth are climbing steadily higher, too, while the Chariots are still sticking in the throats of those who thought they could easily outmatch the plucky Sabrefellers. Parrhesia and Southfell have both had disappointing seasons so far, at 10th and 11th respectively, while Raven River are far more happy with mid-table safety. While they’re set to lose Barry Kearney at the end of the season, they still look a complete side.

Mid-Table Stalwarts
Goodfeather FC have rode their luck at times but it’s paying off as they secure 13th place. The Rovers, meanwhile, have struggled going forward but have bailed themselves out of trouble, and should be safe; they’re just a point away from the magical 50-point mark that is so often the key to survival. Cranequin have had an unremarkable season, and are mostly looking ahead to the future; how to push into the top 10 if they keep Catherine Sedgwick, and if she leaves, how the hell to replace her. Russ Reucassel has lifted the Schadenfreude out of the heat, and the Hares are just as tight at the back and useless at the front as ever while rumours arise that they’re going to sell yet another of their strikers, Igrene Ingedottir, for being too light and fast and not fitting the mould.

Relegation Battlers
Four teams sit on 40 points. Newrook Democracy, who seem like a husk of a team. Leopolis Hatemongers, who have never really seemed comfortable this season. North Laithland, who have lacked chemistry while Spike Turnbull preaches patience. And currently in 21st with an appalling goal difference, the Brookford Otters, who have nothing but grit and steel to depend on in an injury-wracked season. The Rovers are six points adrift due to a poor defence, but it’d take a miracle to save the young, brave and naive Dubstep Rangers. Meanwhile, Crisisbless United are 18 points adrift, and basically doomed.

The Maulers are almost certainly set to win, certainly to promote, with 74 points. Valkyrja and Iron are looking fairly secure themselves. Apathy has set in for the Rage, who can’t promote in any case, leaving the primary contenders as Rochford, Forge, Mainstream and Orbital. The Fairywrens are buried at the foot of the table, but the rest looks too close to call.

The Top Six are incredibly tight... following a league-wide trend. No one side has really managed to achieve dominance. Even Cranequin City still have time to clamber over one or two of the teams ahead of them... and two is all they need. Anyone from Greymouth down could conceivably be relegated.

Halfway through the season and everything is still to play for with just four points seperating the top four teams. Frostmarris are three points clear of both Bendis and Learton, and still undefeated, but just one loss and the whole perspective of the title race could change.

And heres a review of the third quarter of matchdays:

Matchday 16
The second half of the season began much like the first for Frostmarris with a late goal giving them victory against Michael’s Bay. This time it was the younger Lindenshield brother, Redrought who netted the winner though after coming on as a substitute. Elsewhere both Learton and Old Haven were held, and the two bottom clubs Wearford and Pendris suffered home defeats.

Elsewhere Old Haven moved into third after victory at Collingham, and Bolby moved to within two points of fourth place after defeating bottom side Pendris.

Frostmarris recovered from their first defeat of the season as Ireton scored the winner against Middlehampton. Frostmarris now have a four point gap between them and their nearest rival after Bendis’ surprise defeat at Allenby.
Elsewhere Learton’s loss at Michael’s Bay means that Bolby have now moved above them into that vital fourth place Globe Cup Spot.

It’s Forstmarris’s title to lose now as the leaders are now ahead at the top by ten points after they demolished Wearford 7-1, and Bendis fell 3-2 at Bolby. The Lindenshield brothers each scored a hat trick in the rout for Frostmarris.
The twists and turns in the race for the Globe Cup keep on coming as well as Old Havens win over Learton sees them overtake Bendis into second place, and Learton drop out of the top four.

Elsewhere Learton’s draw was enough for them to overtake Bolby and regain a top four spot, it was stalemate between the two costal clubs once more, and it was a good day for the bottom two clubs as both picked up surprising points.

It's going to be the final everyone dreamed of seeing as the two capitals of The Icemark progressed past the semi-finals of the Shield. For Frostmarris it was rather comfortable as goals from Brereton, Ireton and Edward Lindenshield saw them cruise past Bolby. It was a bit more of a struggle for Bendis who scored two late goals against Inglesby courtesy of Elemestra and Electra Celeste

"Bien-Welk Neu Engollon! Karl Demais with you on the NETV Sports 7 Update. Magda Wertauer has the night off. Well, the big news tonight is the trades with the Earent clubs for some of our most outstanding football players. With the kickoff of the 65th World Cup and the Confederacy's first attempt at International association football play, interest and excitement has renewed for the sport. Despite a dismal Baptism of Fire showing and competing, bubbling excitement for the Rugby League World Cup, the domestic leagues have been reinvigorated to show a new face and kick out the cobwebs. Unfortunately for some of the top clubs, so have the players decided it's time to turn over a new leaf.

Schwartzgarten FC is probably the top performing club in the nation, as we see in some footage from their last training camp. A lot of that was due in part to the last couple seasons of Erich Siebech, right wing striker. Siebech has got to be the best all around player in Neu Engollon, and he knows it, or rather, knew it.

In the spirit of the new Astyria regional accords which extend beyond the economic to some political and now even some athletic ties, the Earent domestic league approached the NEAFL to open dialogue and trades. Seems that Siebech was more than happy to jump ship from Schwartzgarten to Stivarnel Takorm Ungalb, or TU for short, for a much better offer. With a solid contract, and his current one up for renewal, the club had no choice but to let him go, which in return, they have taken on Stivarnel TU's Myr Fasint, a 29 year old midfielder. A good player in his own right by most accounts, so it might not be a total kick in the pants to Schwartzgarten. With the age of Fasint, as opposed to Siebech's relative youth, there had to be a bit of a monetary differential to balance out Fasint's diminished future potential.

Also, following in Siebech's footsteps, Stephane Manion, the 23 year old midfielder from Albertville and fellow National Goats teammate of Erich, has now signed on to Paysban Gayum Ungalb, or Paysban GU for a hefty sum as well, for next season. In return, Paysban's Meara Harys, a 25 year old forward is coming to Albertville FC to play in their next season.
Not as big an age differential means that the contracts might be closer in range, but we may never know. All the clubs involved: Albertville, Schwartzgarten, Paysban and Stivarnel will not disclose details of the negotiations.

So, stay tuned, we plan to cover the arrival of Harys and Fasint into the Confederacy and hope to score interviews at some point. Expect more trades with other Astyrian regional neighbors as the rumor is that talks are ongoing for NEAFL with clubs in the Nouvel Ecosse and Scottopian Isles domestic leagues as well. Neu Engollon Footie will definitely have a radically different face in the next couple years.

The Euran Football League
Recap on Season 13

Last season saw one of the most surprising turnarounds in recent Euran footballing history, and a series of genius signings of younger players by various teams. Addressing the turnaround firstly, the season saw an incredible domination of the Gold League by Directus and Bastion, after three consecutive Ulsa title wins. Ulsa finished on 76 points, 2 points better than last season, yet this only brought them a third place finish. Bastion finished 8 points ahead of them on 84, and most remarkably of all Directus notched up the highest Gold League points tally in seen in 15 years – 89 points. On paper neither of these teams had made remarkable improvements over the summer beforehand, but it seemed luck was on their side after numerous incidents of fortune occurred in their favour. Bastion also won the National Cup, ending a tough run with a dramatic win over Revolutionaries in the final. After Sam Needle had given them a first half lead from the penalty spot (while Brigham Bond was sent off for Revolutionaries in his last game for the club), Eamon Power powered home a 70th minute header to get his side back into the game. However, Bastion had evidently been the better side by some distance, and grabbed a deserved late winner when Saugeais defender Daley Hart headed past Ross Ramsden to secure the trophy.

The difference in the league title race was only 5 points, and with two players scoring more than 20 goals (Needle 27 and Oslograd 25) Bastion perhaps will feel their cup run cost them the league. Directus benefited from veteran striker Lee Sharp netting a career second best of 40 league goals to top the scoring charts, feeding off remarkably impressive support from James McCroft, Claus Rijsbergen, BilL Riley and Glenn Anderson. Directus lifted the trophy on the final day with a comfortable 1-0 home victory against Brigham – Sharp bagged his 40th of the season with a 20 yard shot in the 79th minute. Their title win was also based on defensive solidity. Daniel Belgrave won Goalkeeper of the Season with his superb performance while Claus Rijsbergen and Michael Robertson were dominant in defence – Craig Gilbert had a respectable debut season partnering Robertson. Ulsa and Spartangrad took 3rd and 4th place respectively to secure Globe Cup spots. Sam Thomas and Rhodri Evans were star performers for the latter, as Evans had the best season of his career as Spartangrad captain while Thomas scored a personal best 29 league goals, raising the question as to whether he should finally replace Sam Needle alongside Lee Sharp in the national team lineup. Ulsa similarly owed a lot to Nicky Martin, Clive Dawson and Iului Zapatic for their success.

At the bottom of the table Callodown Rovers, Bastion Lions and Arrowsmith found themselves relegated fairly comfortably, as 17th place Real Oakwood assured their place with a matchday to spare. Callodown and Lions both took some solace in not losing too many players or too much money going down, while Arrowsmith can take credit for raising a remarkable young talent – Craig Sinclair, a now 17 year old attacking midfielder who scored 10 league goals after debuting at just 16. It was a great year for bargain youth signings in general, and the most notorious will undoubtedly be Luar Dardan. Lajuno continued their tradition of buying talent from Astograth by bringing in the previously little known (here or in his homeland) Dardan from Ituraitz Victory for a measly £50k. Yet 17 year old Dardan would prove to be a revelation, scoring 16 goals and claiming 17 assists, not to mention the second highest passing success rate in the top flight at 89%. He is already being nicknamed the signing of the decade in Eura by many of the media, and arguably the crowning moment of his season was an unbelievable 35 yard effort against Bastion in a shock 2-0 win at the Arena. He will be playing at Lajuno again this season after reportedly not being interested in numerous offers from Eura and abroad, partly thanks to a hefty £30m valuation made the clubs board. It is even being rumoured that he could get a shot at the Astograth national team for the 65th World Cup, a rare early breakthrough for a player from a major foreign nation in Eura, provided that Dardan keeps up the same form next season.

The other youngster who stunned the nation this season was Gareth Blackthorn, a midfielder that Culpapy United bought from Suttonville for £160k at the age of 18. He came straight into the first team and made himself the centre of the side, notching up an 87% pass completion rate and scoring an impressive 14 goals for a defensive midfielder – though six of them were penalties or free kicks. The more attacking John Spartan of the same age, loaned to Feardallis Wanders last season by Revolutionaries, showed some promise himself despite being played in a more defensive role by the Wanderers. Pablo Dohi, signed at 19 by Holdenberg, was another impressive debutant and the young Sameban is already being labelled the next Jonathan Steele in his home country. Not all of the good signings were youngsters though; at £7.2m Geoff Day has been considered a good purchase for Holdenberg, who have reverted him back to his old striker role that Bastion have isolated him from for several years, and getting an 18 goal return as a result. Three Euran national teamers enjoyed great success in their debut seasons abroad as well, particularly Tom Riley who helped Northbrook to their first title win in Polar Islandstates. It was a magnificent achievement for Riley who played a key role as their lynchpin in defensive midfield, earning himself a nomination for International Player of the Season though he did not win the award. Colin Collymore and Josh Stevenson both won silverware at Ituraitz FC and Sporting Iturributa respectively, including an Ides of March Cup winners medal for Collymore.

Season 14 Buildup: The Summer

The transfer window began with an announcement from the new government as part of their budget the commencement of a £2.4bn stadium refurbishment plan throughout the country, mostly funded by government and private enterprise without leaving clubs with significant debt. Though the Bastion Arena will remain untouched at 110,000 seats, all stadiums in the top flight will be expanded to at least 30,000 seats, while the bigger stadiums such as the Sasky Rising Memorial Stadium will be expanded to a near triple figure capacity. Although this is chiefly to relieve stadiums being packed full by Eura’s large population, it is rumoured that this program may be a prelude to an upcoming bid for a major international tournament. It has long been an ambition of the Euran FA to host either the Baptism of Fire or Copa Rushmori in Eura, and at the end of this stadium building program they hope to have stadium infrastructure that ranks above its Rushmori rivals – whether massive government subsidies are considered unfair or not. The news was greeted with great approval by clubs. They were also happy to hear that 15% of the expenditure of the program would go towards several new national youth academies, including the Steve Thompson Centre of Excellence to be built sometime next year outside of Ulsa.

Returning to the topic of transfers, the summer started in rather exciting fashion with a handful of retirements and two big name departures from Directus. Long time Directus midfielder Mayano Salono, 35, finally decided to retire after a superb final season as part of a dominant Directus title winning side. He retired at the same time as a fellow Sameban, goalkeeper Nile Valun, as an older generation of Sameban players now all but disappears in favour of a new younger order. 40 year old Euran goalkeeper Craig Castleton also announced his retirement after a journeyman career, spending much of it at Ulsa before playing for Real Oakwood and Farrenton Athletic. Another bit part player for the national team that retired was John Buckson, who enjoyed a very successful domestic career with Honeybadgers. Similarly another stalwart of an up and coming side, Holdenberg’s Stan Champion, called time on his playing career. However it would be two early transfers that would overshadow these departures, as Directus let go of two veteran players who had been key to their title success. Lee Sharp, now at the age of 38, announced that he intended to leave Directus – despite scoring 40 goals last season and being named player of the year – for a one year spell at a foreign club, aiming to have a last blast at glory abroad. It was unsurprising to some then that he decided to move to Jan Mayen Islanders for an undisclosed fee – hooking up with Ben Randall, who will hope that Sharp will be a gamechanging Option B to Pola Grabnyak.

Elsewhere, Revolutionaries opened up their transfer business by offloading two long time servants. Brigham Bond, formerly their star striker who has recently faded, has found himself released and now available on a free transfer at the age of 32. More surprisingly, Mikael Johannes of Swartaz departed for newly promoted Hornchurch for £6m. Johannes has been a key player at Revolutionaries for a number of years, but with his form dwindling and his relationship with the manager reportedly breaking down, he found himself increasingly frustrated at the club. Consequently Revolutionaries cashed in as Johannes took a surprising step downwards to Hornchurch. Hornchurch dominated the Silver League last season and in the summer they built up an already impressive squad, looking to do more than just survive in the top flight next season after their inglorious collapse a few years ago. Their biggest signing was the £10m signing of Liam Carling from Marketville. Carling, who recently made his international debut, has served Marketville well for years after breaking through at Ulsa Rovers, but clearly didn’t fancy their chances of staying up again. He partners the impressive 22 year old Julius Carrera of Sameba, who won the Silver Boot with 34 league goals last season. Goalkeeper Ben Prince and midfielders David Moore and Fraser Vaughan are the other star players of that promoted side. Further signings were made beyond Johannes and Carling to improve the side; Tim Small of relegated Bastion Lions was brought in at right back for £1m, Legalese winger Blake Carter came in for £500k from Francis City FC, and they also spent £2m on experienced Bastion defender Nicholas Kerr. Perhaps their best other signing though was the 24 year old Samebus defender Asey Vella for £3.5m, a very promising player indeed.

Meanwhile, Honeybadgers left back Tim Curren would find himself tempted away to Preussen Kitzbuhel in Mytannion for a cut price of £1.5m. It has been reported that he run down his contract about a year ago after finding out that foreign clubs were interested in him, which will no doubt anger the Honeybadgers faithful. However, they did splash out to cover the loss, bringing in 26 year old lynchpin of the Holdenberg City defence Ryan Collins. Though he cost them a significant fee of £9m, he has been earmarked for many future international appearances and they will feel it is money well spent. Directus then made their big purchase of the summer, bringing in controversial Mytanar striker Ildar Patrelyak. Numerous Mytanars have enjoyed career revivals in Eura (such as Stanislav Navratil) but this is a risky move for Directus. He cost £12m and is notorious for having a poor temperament in Mytannion, despite being immensely talent. No-one can really replace Lee Sharp for Directus but if Patrelyak controls his personality, gets his head down and performs, he could easily be a 20+ goal a season striker, and he might finally get a much deserved summoning to the national team. More surprisingly Directus brought in Casper Constable from Marketville for £4.3m, a fairly talented 24 year old Sameban attacking midfielder who is seen as a temporary replacement for retiring compatriot Salono. It has been reported that Directus only went for the move after Lajuno demanded £30m for Luar Dardan.

Dardan of course stayed in Lajuno, as did Gareth Blackthorn at Culpapy United, while John Spartan returns to parent club Revolutionaries this season to take on the Gold League. Pablo Dohi also saw fit to stay at his current club. However the other breakthrough youngster of last season, Craig Sinclair, has already moved on. This is rather understandable as his side finished bottom of the league. Ulsa will be delighted that they secured such a promising 17 year old for only £5.6m; the only question now is whether or not he can sustain his form. A few more less notable transfers occurred before two more significant moves went through on the final day of the transfer window. Hornchurch made one final signing, bringing in Holdenberg’s experienced defender Fernando Valdez, before Bastion swooped for Falourr centre back Brian Marner for £6m.

Bastion triumphed in an all Euran final that proved to be a thriller on a late summers eve in Brigham. The stadium, which has just completed a summer expansion of 35,000 seats, was the perfect neutral venue for this clash of the Euran titans – league champions versus cup winners. Yet despite both reaching the final, and being firm favourites to reach it, both sides had at least one close shave on the way. This happened for Bastion in the Entrance Round when they played Blueway United, who lost in the last Endemia Cup final to Mayville Town. Blueway lost again at the Bastion Arena, conceding a 2-1 defeat, but came very close to winning the tie on away goals when they surprisingly dominated the home fixture. However a superb performance by Mytanar keeper Kondrat Istomin kept them out, and a Sam Needle stunner on the counter finished the tie. Meanwhile Directus cruised to victory on aggregate against Maelpoolmor.

In the Quarter Finals, Directus once again cruised to victory, beating FK Byenbater 8-0 on aggregate. Bastion though struggled again, drawing their away leg at Capital Kingsland before going 1-0 down early on at home. Only two late Skorji Oslograd goals rescued them from an embarrassing exit. Bastion were drawn against Eastice in the next round and given a warning by the Daeran surprise package – they shocked Sameban Cup winners Rivet in the Quarter Finals with a 6-1 aggregate victory, managing to win 4-1 at home and 2-0 away. Indeed they did trouble Bastion in the semi-finals and won their home leg 1-0. However, Bastion managed to bring it back late in the second tie once again with goals from Eye Barsa and somewhat ironically Daeran John Gomer, a product of the Eastice academy. Directus finally found themselves a bit unstuck as well, losing away at Samebus in their first leg. However they staged a superb comeback in the second leg after going 2-0 down on aggregate to the Sameban champions, winning 3-2 eventually through goals from James McCroft, Sergey Grzeskiewicz and Ildar Patrelyak.

In the final itself, both teams put on a real show. Patrelyak, the new £12m striker Directus brought in from Mytannion, opened the scoring early on with a bullet header. Another Mytanar, Vinko Horvat, would score Bastions equaliser with a thundering strike from the edge of the box before half time. Things really exploded in the second half as Skorji Oslograd gave Bastion the lead for the first time, before Patrelyak beat Istomin with another low strike. Joan Cruft then hit the bar with a volley which fell to Sam Needle, who put Bastion ahead again, before Directus scored a last minute equaliser – a Michael Robertson header from a corner. In extra time Directus would then take the lead as Glenn Anderson volleyed home a goal that seemed to be a winner. However Bastion came back once more, and once again Saugeais defender Daley Hart was the last gasp hero as he sidefooted home from 6 yards out, getting on the end of a Jim Cotterill cross. A penalty shootout loomed, and though the first three penalties went in for both sides, Directus broke first as New Sideburn midfielder Michael Brandon was kept out by Istomin diving to his left. Wilfstrand then scored for Bastion before Casper Constable hit the bar with the final Directus penalty.

In a quite dull display of two teams who seemingly couldn’t be bothered, Directus avenged their Endemian Cup defeat with a fairly comfortable win over Bastion. Although Sam Needle tested Ryan Jones with a stinging shot early on Bastion had few chances, and went behind in the 37th minute. Bill Riley scored the goal, finding the net from a very narrow angle on the right after dribbling past John Gomer and slipping the ball past a wrongfooted Kondrat Istomin. Directus looked good value for their lead after the goal, and halfway through the second half they found the second goal that would really kill the game. After young centre back Craig Gilbert had come close with a long range effort, Ildar Patrelyak found the ball at his feet outside the box after it had rebounded off the gloves of Istomin. Patrelyak paused, tricked Brian Marner into attempting to block a fake shot, then switching the ball to his right foot, knocking it forwards to give him room to shoot in front of Daley Hart before placing the ball past Istomin. It’s no compensation for the Endemia Cup defeat, but at least Directus can claim they have momentum going into the league campaign.

All right, at this point we might as well give up and admit that for the purposes of this season, and by this season we mean "the eighth matchday," goals might as well have been the order of the day. So, we're going to walk you through the surreal feats of offense that were the quarter-ish point.

And we're going to start at the bottom.

The bottom was, once again, Trebuchet Cham (though they'd briefly rise to the dizzying heights of fifteenth before regressing towards the mean as in cruel and unpleasant place that is the basement). Today, they actually had a draw going for a while! Credit to left-back Hanne Broga for making a few clearances, before being subbed out with an injury in the seoncd half before the end. Thanks to either that or exhaustion, the roof fell in at the Bug House, and Twineur got to show off their more intimidating Bugbear selves with a flurry of late goals, Amanda McBato's being the technical winner with Jeffery Yustrin and Keith Alemer-Tiden providing insurance.

Also yet to win are the imploded 102d Jr.s. They were blanked by the Keppal Cosmos, whose Frank Kley-Alsect provided the winning goal in minute 62. Tara Sulaner assisted from midfield, and won the kickoff in both halves.

Rovers United would briefly usurp Cham's basement spot, although they managed to improve to a respectable eleventh by the end of the season. Today, however, they were genuine visitors, in this case to Craton. Excelsior Slogda got off to a surprisingly early lead, when Dunya Dratchler blasted in a long goal from central midfield. The fans, who had barely made sure their banners were the right way around, had to quickly launch into some good-natured celebratory chants (all the normal ones about going back where you came from don't quite cut it). Asher Witto would score again for Alaisti in the second half.

The largest margin of victory went to Sporting Esper, who defeated FTC United 6-0 at home (and weren't the scare quotes in effect). The Robins' sporting nature may have deserved scare quotes as well. Sure, it was nice of Kyle Broff-Ruden not to make a scene after he added on his side's fifth goal. But the way he had to go and finish his hat trick almost immediately after the kickoff...well. A dizzying win at the time, but in retrospect, Sporting Esper must have been hoping they could spread out their goals, for they went winless until halfway and were unable to return to the top four.

The only of the lower-tabulated teams (as of after this round of matches) to pull out a victory was Namiri Independent, and they won the derby! And not lot else this year, let's be fair. (The second leg was a 3-3 draw in Guariday, so the Rebels could hold onto their overall lead.) Today, playing in Sharag, they scored the only goal of the encounter on a chip shot from Shekhar Ajant.

Both Namiris, and Twineur, wound up tied for eighth with Spenson Suburbia and Eintracht Trink at the end of the day. The latter two were a potential rivalry that might or might not bloom into more as time goes. Today's clash, at least was relatively peaceful (and rightfully overshadowed by some of the other action). That said, play stopped on and off, but mostly just for corner kicks and that kind of thing. Trink got off to an early two-goal lead, through Antje Kurzmann-Tremme and Kimitake Perie. Though Spenson would pull one back a couple times, they still came out the losers on the day. Trink fans, if anything, were more troublesome after the game--no injuries, but a lot of rowdy celebrating and many delayed trains. Both teams finished matchday eight with twelve goals scored and conceded and four points, but Trink would slump to finish only ahead of, obviously, Cham. Spenson, however, made it back to the Globe Cup again.

It was only the Robins' aforementioned beatdown that prevented the champions--original, reigning, and yes, eventual--from getting the largest goal difference of the day. Canbix won it all, again, and by actual points to boot. (Okay, like a point and a half.) But with the gap from top to bottom narrowing (hello, Cabbas!), no one can tell if the Muses will just grow from strength to strength, and/or if we'll have to Intervene. But one season at a time. There were braces in store for Katie Raptis, Monty Clyde, and Patricia Eliot, with Ramona Geideen getting on the scoreboard as well. Seven goals past...well, Ephesian FC, whose Nicholas Blier was fortunate enough to notch the first goal of the second half and assist Angela Kachi-Yan on another. But all the same.

This was actually not the first time that season Ephesian FC had given up seven.

It's still only Matchday Eight.

And Ephesian came third.

Seriously, credit where credit is due, in this case mostly to captain (and, as importantly, indefatigable center back) Pete Balmer. To say nothing of the midfielders, Davi Keane-Liuprand looking confident in the center and Rudolf Sternberg incredibly proud of his city/metropolitan area, anyway. An extremely impressive turnaround, and one for which they should be celebrated. Until they make it to the UICA and...well. Maybe they'll get eliminated early on, so nobody has to worry about, like, stuff.

And last--but certainly not least--to the previous leaders, Arlington City, and the leaders after MD8, Bassabook Old Boys. As that would success, Bassabook won. The only question was how, and the answer had Arlington fans wailing and sportswriters on deadlines gnashing their keyboards and cursing the purportedly-random goal time simulator, which after all should probably be adjusted for actual times. Oh well.

If there's one thing Arlington don't lack it's nominal "forwards" (scare quotes!) and all of them raced out to extend an early lead before the central striker, Iris McKien, added a fourth, almost as early. Then it was time for the outnumbered defenders to take the stage under the most embarassing circumstances, as Loris Muraro-Ughi and Asher Sabbadin scored in even quicker succession than Arlington had (and that is saying something).

4-2 it remained, amazingly deep into the second half. After the hour mark, Muraro-Ughi pulled one more back for BOB, and of course it didn't seem like too much at the time. In fact, it was Arlington who scored next, with leftish striker Jake Milrower racking up number five. And then, boom, Benjamin Karger cancelling it out for Bassabook. This was swiftly followed by Tullio Schi's equalizer, and then, early in stoppage time, Sabbadin's winner. It was inevitable in the narrative sense, evitable in the historic-determinism sense, and we're not going to pass any more judgment on Arlington goalkeeper Lorelei Kinte's abilities at this point.

Arlington would finish thirteenth. Bassabook, exhausted, lost the lead the next day, and would only reclaim it one more time before the Nightriders' gallop to victory recommenced.

So you might be reading this, and think, 'wait, what is TICIEL?' And that would be a good question. In fact, if you didn't ask that, we'd be surprised. It also rapidly rose to be the nation's top operating system. Later this business year, we will be releasing our own laptop, the TICIEL Logi200, featuring the TIC+ operating system. The laptop is expected to be a great success.

So what does this have to do with the Globe Cup? Well, firstly, TICIEL believe that the opportunity to partner with the UICA is too great a deal to be passed up on. The partnership will also come directly after the release of the Logi200, and will be able to help get more sales for our company. Promotionally, during each Globe Cup tournament, we will sell laptop bags with logos of the different teams of the Globe Cup, with the logo in the middle. Desktop backgrounds of each team will be available for use on the Logi200 during this time. In addition, the winning team will be featured on a special laptop design, with an image of that team's logo on the top of the laptop, and the Globe Cup and UICA logos around it. We believe that this market would produce great sales for our company, and also benefit the UICA.

Beaverriver Domestic Soccer Season 20

Last UICA cycle was the fourth best cycle for clubs in Beaverriver. Both Timbers 75 and Corny Town had deep runs and Corny Town was just one win away from getting into the group stage of the globe cup for the second time in club history. Trolls are AFC had a disappointing run again despite being the giants of Beaverriver soccer.Trolls are AFC are trying to prepare for their campaign for their 3rd title.

Beaverriver Soccer Federation announced their expansion of the league system. Division 3 is expanding to 24 clubs and by doing this by promoting three clubs instead of two from each of the two Division 4 leagues. Both division 4 leagues are going to expand out to twenty clubs each. This going to acheived by creating a temporary two promotion leagues featuring the top amateur clubs of Beaverriver. The top 9 in each league will be promoted to their respective division 4 leagues.

There will also be a new professional women only league to help give more respect to the female soccer players who are often discriminated by the co-ed clubs which are male dominate. This will also give more attention to women's sports in the country. The first Women premier league season will feature 20 clubs, most of them owned by teams that also own the male dominant clubs.

Two clubs have been rebranded this season
2.AFC Kawall -> Snowcaps FC
Stanley FC -> Astoa SC

There has also been a change in the BR Cup structure. Instead of being a knockout tournament all the way, there will be 8 regional leagues of all the professional clubs in Beaverriver plus all the clubs in the promotion leagues. At the end of the regional league rounds each regional league is allocated a number of spots for clubs to get in the knockout stages. Then the knockout stages continued on like they had in the past with a final at a neutral site.

Eviliton EFC is looking for it's third title in a row which has never been done in Beaverriver soccer history. Wes TY is looking for their return to a UICA competition after being absent for one year. Timbers 75 look to solidify their spot as a contender for the title in the furture. Newly Promoted Lots o' Love wants to get back into Globe Cup action this season.

Wes TY earns their second title and return to the champions Cup after missing the Globe Cup last season. Eviliton EFC returns to UICA action for the third season in a row but unlike the previous two seasons, they will start off in the Globe Cup. Timbers 75 places in the same spot as they did last year. Lots o' Love returns to the Globe Cup after a long absence in the Premier league. Trolls are AFC had an terrible season after ending up in 12th place

Eviliton EFFC ends up winning the first Women's Premier league in Beaverriver. This was also accomplished by parent club Eviliton EFC who won the first coed Premier League. Beaverriver City is having trouble keeping a team in division 1 as it's only club got relegated.

The increasingly incomprehensible riffs on a tune of "Stirvik Champion!" echoed throughout the otherwise undersized Mospee Birkhas Bukiness as Stirvik TU marched through the forty-eighth Champions' Cup. One brave pundit at Myhi Poynd, having seen the draw, was actually able to predict a semifinal run for Reaven Laynee's side, but only the most diehard fans really dreamed of making the trip to Bastion.

Once there, was it too much to hope that they'd pull it off? Stirvik were in some sense favorites, after all, and one had to fear this would be their--well, any of our--best chances for a while. Perhaps not, we've scarcely had any time to get our bearings after all. In front of a crowd of many myriads minus the seats left blank to separate some fans (and no doubt make many more jealous), The Giants won the...tournament, in dominant enough style that by the end of the thing announcers' calls of celebration were, if exuberant, not particularly memorable or surprising. The record scoreline was a bit disheartening. It was like getting choked in a beanstalk, no, it was like craning your neck too far, no, it was like licking cookie dough off the bowl, no...

Well, something like that.

Also, Ousteeble won the kindoff, which was probably nice.

And now, without further ado, given the otherwise uninspiring title race, here we go plagiarizing our...comrades?...for a look at one non-randomly selected day of excitement, and hopefully an introduction to our new faces in the league. Wave at the camera, folks! You don't need to put on your relegation sulk. Yet. It's only matchday six. Even if you're going straight back down. We might transfer you!

Okay whatever, skip that, we'll get some candid shots. Maybe.

Rogglebo took on Retatyn, and they'd turn out to be first and last respectively after the matchday. Rogglebo actually led the race for the second Champions' Cup slot for quite some time, before being overtaken on matchday twenty-six. Twenty games earlier, however, they breezed to an early two-goal lead before Lurs Chaneayon added late insurance. While Michael Davenport turned out to be pretty useless this season, the diversity experiment paid more dividends; Joundra McLemar slotted in as an important component to the defense, which was joint-second in the lead. Dyma Konga for their part, never really clicked; this may have chastened the annoying Shayv Allagondee, and if nothing else gave Kayleat Moris a more welcome set of annoying questions. "Why are you playing so poorly," while blunt, is at least in this context second person singular and she knows how to handle them. Anyway, they stayed up at least.

Derby time! It was Atteregav Numa who got the better of their neighbors--this time, at home in an offensive clash (and, for the record, next time, on the road in a more characteristically defensive style). Attereg GU would respond rather quickly to both Numa's first and last goal, so perhaps the really decisive strike came from Doyer Klayn on a header in the thirty-fifth minute. While Numa were fifth after this, their goal difference remained negative after a beatdown (figurative, and more literal than they'd have liked) from Brandith GU. They recovered, however, to claim third place.

In a clash of Ungalbs, both on their way to declining from last season (okay, all the top-flight Ungalbs declined from last season), Parkatsee had the better of Tratbongent, by a goal from Dravin Hynz in the 35th minute. The dockworkers would nevertheless stay up, although not by much and possibly to the detriment of more exciting sides. Parkatsee are back to the bottom half, which is probably where they belong. They're sort of the anti-Brayntel, in the sense that, nobody really cares much whether Brayntel win or lose, but a lot of us hate their new bandwagon fans. On the other hand, nobody really cares about whether Parkatsee fans are happy or disappointed, and in fact some people think they're kind of dumb, but they've bred this new wave of anti-fans resentful of their success, and people are just like "okay, you anti-fans hating Parkatsee can just go away, you don't even care about football."

High-scoring game of the week went to Brantslaybel hosting Deahpild. The former were introducing their new goalkeeper, Riy'sema Die'lay of Nu Sparta, and gave him a very early lead to work with through a header from Mithin Klyb. And when Deahpild tied it later in the half, the hosts were quick to restore the lead, through Merlee Helm. So far, so good. Then in the second half, Elaine Trident tied it up for Deahpild, and that time Brantslaybel had no answer. Deahpild's fearless if unsteady attack controlled the remainder of normal time, building up to the go-ahead goal from Luse Hassel, in the 90th minute. Only for Helm to go and tie it again in stoppage time. Deahpild fans tried to get drunk and flip cars afterwards, but Brantslaybel's kind of a dingy neighborhood so there weren't enough cars parked on the street to placate them. Anyway Deahpild stayed up, so they got the last laugh.

Brandith defeated Paysban, and...well okay, if you'd watched just the first half, you'd probably concede they deserved it. They dominated possesion, building up to a goal from Talia Murvs, and then continued dominating possesion. So far, so good. But then early in the second half, they looked much weaker, and Paysban were able to take advantage of a goal from Boykin Long, assisted by newcomer Stephane Manion from the young Neu Engollon national team. Manion would be one of Paysban's few bright spots all season, and looked dangerous a couple more times today, but despite Paysban's growing confidence, they would not get on the scoreboard again. Bulean Ranis left with an injury for which, dubiously, no one on Brandith was carded, and they took advantage of the defensive weaknesses to score the winning goal with eight minutes remaining. Then add a disputably-onside goal in stoppage time for good measure. So it goes.

A further Neu Engollon talent was stymied in Ousteeble, with forward Erich Siebech and the entire Stivarnel team unable to score. A few of Stivarnel's fans are asking themselves how they're able to afford an international striker; others have realized that, despite bouncing up and down the divisions, they're really not as hardscrabble as they like to portray themselves. Anyway, Ousteeble couldn't score either, and just two seasons after winning the thing they're back in the bottom half. Oops. Anyway, after this season, Stivarnel really won't be able to afford Siebech. Look for him to move to...I don't know, Brayntel?

They probably can afford him, finishing a consistent eighth, still with their hated trail of bandwagoners and still with their vaguely defensive outlook. That didn't stop them from racking up two first-half goals in the capital, however, before Perntav Marna got a late consolation through Leamlak Vondas. The king's house ended the day in twelfth place, where they'd eventually finish. But not before visiting everywhere from seventh to eighteenth. No, literally.

Stirvik, you may not be surprised at this point to hear, won the thing, waiting until the end of the first half for a goal and an assist from Ondrej Knizek. They actually didn't hold on for the win, with Ungalb Devsgrybe slowly increasing the tempo to equalize in the second half. They are very much in rebuilding mode and relied on Turnit Duve and Boramark Sumebel to score today, although they're not really as effective as they could be. Like the other Ungalbs, they regressed this season, in their case missing the international scene entirely. But who is left to replace them?

Munnerput TU took the lead twice in their game, thanks to Brianna Carheim. Those leads lasted seven minutes, combined. Nithgard have a new freakishly effective counterattack strategy, with center-back Istel Kraym kicking into high gear--and the ball way forward--just when Kaynd's opponents seem to have some momentum going. Whatever their mad scientists are up to now, it's working; they held on for a draw and would, eventually, take the last Globe Cup place.

AFC Treason Deserved champions as Jon Slatesaver seemed to drag the team kicking and screaming towards a renewal. With talent in every position, real depth and a superb manager, Treason can be expected to put up a real fight next year.
Sabrefell Moths The Moths fought well, clocking up a respectable 80 points, but ultimately they just couldn’t make it. Gerhard Thunder manages top scorer for the third consecutive season. Asger Stubbs, club legend and captain, retires at last; understudy Bryan Veldt, however, will prove a capable backup.
Maximum City Excellent defensively, and the much-needed addition of Lloyd Fortescue significantly aided their offense; enough to pull them into 3rd. The best defence in the league, earning Paolo Crewe a callup for the international squad.
Sabrefell Athletic Just couldn’t click together this season. While Kurtis Fitzmarten had a better season, they lost form going ahead. Losing the cup final lost them their Globe Cup spot.
Brinemouth A poor start to the season... maybe they were distracted by UICA? Well, no worries there, a solid 5th place finish but you can’t help but think they could’ve done better.
Southfell United Leaky defensively, but the strongest offense in the league and one that could get them results. Cup champions! Bridget Lastgasp seems to have answered her doubters, at least.
AFC Integabad A poor start to the season, but they recovered admirably to finish 7th. If they can sign some more depth next season they might be able to press for UICA... but then, that could be a stretch too far for them.
Crisisbless Lewis Keenan was deservedly fired after an anemic start to the season, though the sacking as due at least as much to failing to keep Portia Thrift and Rook Harm. Jess Mortlock, formerly assistant manager to the national team, has her work cut out for her, but rumours are flying of an active transfer window...
North Laithland With a young, ambitious squad that … did really badly for ¾ of the season, it’s a good thing Spike Turnbull had what it took to bail them out. A new year should signify a more mature, experienced squad.
Violence Chariots A superb first half made way for a mediocre second, to leave the Chariots overachieving in 10th. A great season to showcase their new defensive talent, though it seems as though the 3-5-2 employed this season is going to be favoured in the next.
Parrhesia United Not a great season for Parrhesia, who never really challenged for a higher place. But the aging squad’s limits are starting to show; they need an active transfer window.
AFC Raven River Another midtable finish, and the River can be happy with that. They’ll suffer for the loss of Barry Kearney, but the team’s strong all around the pitch, so they should be able to replace him without too many issues.
South Laithland Strong for most of the season, but they were unable to stay in their top six place. Still, they can’t complain with yet another midtable finish.
Cranequin Wanderers Cath Sedgwick is still the star player and top scorer, and if they keep ahold of her they should be fine.
Goodfeather FC A strong first season, as the exciting Goodfeather secured their status as the neutrals’ favourite. Welcome back, Goodfeather; you were missed.
Rhagant Schadenfreude After an abysmal start, new manager Russ Reucassel stabilised the side and managed to achieve lower midtable safety. But they really need some more ability in the side... even veteran Emmeric Brownlow probably has just one more season in him.
Maximum Rovers A nervy first season as the skilled but naive Rovers just dropped points too easily... next season they’ll probably have a better time, more experience for a young side.
Raging Fire Hares Surprisingly, selling their only actually good striker worked out poorly. Only their defence could save them; as it stands they were just three points from safety.
Leopolis Hatemongers They just seemed weak all season... they dropped points easily and couldn’t rack up good leads. Unnervingly close to relegation, and they’ll be worried next season.
Brookford Otters While they seemed comfortable last season, they were decidedly... less so, this time. Still, you always got the feeling they’d narrowly avoid relegation, as they ultimately did. Key player to keep ahold of; Tarquin Haddings, and they need to strengthen the rest of the midfield.
Newrook Democracy The last transfer window had totally taken the team apart, and it showed badly. They didn’t manage to compensate for the losses of talent, and were left with a lot of naive youths. Still, a couple seasons hardening up in the 1st Division and we might see them back up soon...
Chenoworth Rovers The aging, sluggish Rovers sank to relegation, unable to show some decent fight. They tried to cover their offensive weaknesses with a 4-5-1. It didn’t work.
Dubstep Rangers Sadly, the plucky young Rangers were let down by inexperience, and sank to 23rd. It’ll be a struggle to keep some of their young stars, but they’ll probably do fine next season; it was kind of an overachievement to get promoted anyway.
Crisisbless United United tried to buy success, and it failed. They sank to the cellar and stayed there. The record for the worst finish is held by the 317 Fenland Albion, who managed just 22 points... it’s telling that people were taking particular note of this figure all season.

An agonisingly close season in midtable. North Dubstep are in 10th with a mighty 63 points, whereas Ox River sit 18th with a puny 60. Vermillion slinks anemically to 11th after being strong for most of the season. The Maulers deserved to be at the top for the season, the Hawks got the promotion they should’ve made last year, Iron come straight back up and Franchise barely steal in front of the competition. Three of the four teams promoted last year go straight back down; only the Martella Jazz stay up, in 14th.

The Athletics fall, while there was yet another lower-midtable scrap. Ultimately, however, the winners were fairly clear-cut; Anslow’s sudden influx of money, Corby’s recently matured young talent, Iron’s rigid discipline and Locksley’s blind luck. Sandrock, hilariously, scored just 28 goals.

It's hard to believe, but this season marks the tenth time that the twenty teams of the Darmeni Premier League slug it out in their quest to claim the championship.

Kishraeli Premier Liga - Season 6 - Part 2

This is part 2 of our look through the teams participating in the Kishraeli Premier Liga this season, today, we'll see the rest of the teams that we didn't cover last time. Last season, Kishraeli teams internationally performed to a much higher standard than usual, so much so, that for the first time, 3 teams reached the Globe Cup group stage. Bnei Drazabari then went further, reaching the quarter finals of the prestigious competition. As a result, Kishraeli football is now firmly on the map. Kishrael had the second best coefficient of the previous season, collecting an impressive 12.300, losing out only to the best league system in the world, that of the Polar Island States, who attained a 15.229. Also as a result of this coefficient boost, and because of regulation changes in the UICA, Kishrael is now eligible to enter two teams into the Champions Cup, while still retaining the three in the Globe Cup. This is a huge step-up for Kishraeli football, and the league will no doubt become more competitive as a result.

Club Value: £19,450,000 Manager: Valerian Dahan Last Season: 1st Predicted: 1st

For a second time Hapoel Maksiouta lifted the title, after a late surge which saw them drop just two points in ten games. Hapoel Maksiouta are now definitely, the kings of Kishraeli football, rather effectively displacing Shatilova FC, who, due to revenue loss and player sales, fell even further down the table. Valerian Dahan is an outstanding manager, and he was able to advance the fortunes of Hapoel Maksiouta, giving them the spark that had been missing for so long, leading to another title win, and a team that is widely believed to be the best Maksiouta team in years. This, topped off by the fact that Hapoel Maksiouta had another excellent UICA run that saw them along with three other teams, reach the Globe Cup group stage (and for Maksiouta, this was the second time) means that Hapoel Maksiouta are certainly going to give an excellent account of themselves in the coming season.

Club Value: £4,540,000 Manager: Yehuda Bitzaki Last Season: PROMOTED Predicted: 4th

Ironi Bailat Kamioni, previously a high ranking second division team, for once received the boost they needed from former Shatilova manager Yehuda Bitzaki, and now, look like a serious contender, despite being new on the block. They stormed to the title last season, not losing a single game, and with a strong and trusting chairman, Yehuda Bitzaki has been given the freedom to purchase and sell on his whim, of course, on a smaller budget than at Shatilova FC, but he is in a good position nonetheless. Made rich from the mining industry in the small town of Bailat Kamioni, the stadium was funded completely from the surplus of the towns iron ore production. A loyal fan base that has stayed loyal through thick and then back the club wholly, always there are full stands packing the small stadium. This little club, from a town of no more than 40,000 could go far.

Club Value: £9,550,000 Manager: Koba Atul Last Season: 5th Predicted: 6th

Last season, Nyetanyu slipped into their least favourite position, 5th. Having a firm grasp on the top four until it came to the final matchdays of the season, losing out as a surge in quality from Beitar David Zaqeven saw them take the final Globe Cup spot. This season, it will not be as easy as previous seasons, and Nyetanyu will be pushed to their limits with the coming matches. Neytanyu have never been a huge goalscoring side, and that may set them back slightly against other teams, who have more of a cutting edge. The addition of quality from Ironi Bailat Kamioni means that it will now be tougher than ever to assert oneself in the final Globe Cup place. This upturn in quality however has been countered by the fact that Kishrael now has one more international qualification place, due to excellent results last season. As a result, the team finishing fifth in the league will now qualify for the Globe Cup, giving Nyetanyu something of a safety net. They will, however, still have to work like mad to pull off a top four finish, but they are capable.

Club Value: £13,824,000 Manager: Itzik Rahani Last Season: 2nd Predicted: 2nd

It's sometimes hard to know what will happen with Maccabi Shatilova, but they defied most people's predictions two seasons ago to reach 2nd for the first time ever, after having a three season run of sitting in third. What Maccabi Shatilova fans need is for their team to maintain there form last season, and maybe then, they'll do even better, maybe they can swipe something away from Maksiouta, just maybe. As it stands, Maccabi Shatilova are a very good side, however they perhaps become a little too fatigued as the season wears on. This is telling in their results, as they did lead the Kishraeli Premier Liga for a lot of the season, trailing away in the last six or seven matches. There is still a clear gap in quality from second to third however, and so we would expect them to firmly secure their second place, and, because of the new coefficient of Kishrael, this means they'd qualify for the Champions Cup for the first time in their history, that is, if everything goes their way.

Club Value: £11,112,000 Manager: David Ahronahan Last Season: 6th Predicted: 5th

Shatilova FC have reached a NEW low point. Dropping to sixth season last time out, Shatilova are no longer the powerhouse they once were. Instead, a string of firings and players moving to greater clubs has made this once proud club unstable. Previous manager, Gal Zamir was fired immediately when it was apparent that Shatilova would not be challenging for the title. As successive managers could not meet the boards needs, they settled on David Ahronahan, his calm style of play may be what is needed for Shatilova at this time. Because of the clubs instability, revenue has been lost, and now, the club is on a downward trend. Despite this, the addition of another international place to Kishrael's berths has given the fans some hope, that Shatilova can get back into the world's greatest club competition. Nobody is expecting them to challenge for the title any time soon, but the fans are expecting a certain level of commitment, and that is the least these floundering players can give them.

2021 GPL Preview

A decade ago, 2011, there was no national football league in Gordonopia. The War of Restoration had put a stop to the historic GFA, and in the rebuilding process teams had been forced to remain in improvised regional leagues. Today the Gordonopia Premier League is a global powerhouse. Four Champions' Cup spots. Third in the world.

This is the season where the GPL has to live up to immensely heightened expectations, but after a year of transition, new changes are in effect.

To begin with, this will be the first season in which the second level of the pyramid will be available throughout the world. For those who aren't familiar, the Gordonopian football pyramid's first and second levels are separated from the rest. The top level is the Gordonopia Premier League, composed of 17 teams who play every team home and away. The second level consists of eight regional leagues, each composed of eight teams who play the other seven four times, twice home and twice away.

The GPL's top eight teams advance to the Gordonopia Cup, a post-season championship which now consists of a group stage of two groups, followed by two knockout rounds. UICA slots are determined by both the league and the Gordonopia Cup, with two Champions Cup spots assigned to each, and two of the Globe Cup slots going to the Cup. The regional leagues, on the other hand, each send their winning team to the Inter-League Cup, contested in Gordonopia City. The knockout tournament narrows the teams down to two, with the winner receiving automatic promotion and the runner-up participating in a playoff with the GPL's 16th team. At the end of the season, the boundaries of the regional league are redrawn slightly to keep numbers the same.

The biggest change, though, and the reason for a temporary hold on promotions as the new second-level was sorted out, is the new integration of the New Gordonopian football system into the pyramid. New Gordonopia, a colony in Atlantian Oceania, is the first Gordonopian territory to even play football, and for over a century has had its own distinct system. Now, though, the top eight teams have been organized as a regional league, with the league being the only one into which promotion or out of which relegation is possible. If a New Gordonopian club is promoted into the GPL, a lower level team will be promoted into its place, while likewise a relegated GPL team based in New Gordonopia will knock out the league's eighth placed team. For now, though, with no New Gordonopian teams yet in the GPL this is not an issue.

Mechanics aside, it is set to be a hell of a season. Will FC Deska maintain its stranglehold on titles, adding an eleventh or even twelfth trophy this year? Will perennial contenders like the ever growing Basin Plain or the internationally oriented Teva FC continue to hold sway? Or will up-and-coming squads like Union Holiday, or even dormant giants such as Kaje Football, finally break through? 34 weeks and a tournament will hold all the answers.

TSP Premiership and Championship leagues

The international football system known as the TSP Premiership and Championship entered its seventh season with 112 clubs in 29 lands. The first-tier Premiership hosts 40 clubs divided into four ten-team regions. The second-tier Championship hosts 72 clubs divided into eight nine-team sections, with two Championship sections covering the territory of each Premiership region.

Both leagues play an 18-round regular season, 18 matches for Premiership clubs and 16 for Championship clubs. These results determine promotion and relegation together with seeding in the cup stage to follow. The last place Premiership team in each region swaps places with the winner of a two-legged tie between the two Championship section winners in that region.

Overall league champions are decided by a cup for each league. Clubs enter in various rounds according to regular season standing and play single-leg ties. Pairings and home fields are drawn at random throughout, save that both semifinals and the final are held at a facility selected by bidding one year in advance.

Cup results also determine UICA tournament nominations. In recent seasons all quarterfinalists have been nominated to the Champions' Cup, the Globe Cup, or the Series B Champions' Cup.

Ukrainya's Football League inaugural season has just Finished and to the Surprise of Many Dynamo Zhytomyr has won the League with an Impressive 58 points just ahead of Lutsk United and Rivne Rovers who finished with 55 points. With Dynamo Zhytomyr Lifting the trophy they have Earned a Berth in the Next Champions Cup and will be the first team in Ukrainya History to enter into the historic tournament. Lutsk and Rivne earned berth's in the next Globe Cup.

With the Success of the 1st season the UFF or Ukrainya Football Federation has annouced that a 2nd Division will be installed next season with the top 2 teams promoted to the Top Division.

Attican comes into the season as the top dog in the UPL. Octavianus Flavillus is the manager for the side, and the club will play an attacking formation, with two forwards, two wingers, and one attacking midfielder. Herius Valerian will start between the posts and the 19 year-old phenom looks to have a good season. He will be watched closely by national team staff and is projected to start for the U-21 side in the next Di Bradini Cup. Anatolius Dama and captain Marcus Marcallas will be the centerpieces of the midfield and they are joined by Tertius Sosius. Dama will play on the left wing, Marcallas as the holding midfielder, and Sosius as the attacking midfielder. Placus Gabrio will be the main scoring threat for Attican up front.

The defense is a little weak, but Tiberinus Famia is a bright spot at right fullback.

Figulo, a superstar in the making, has been linked to transfers overseas, as well as to Latinor, so this may be the last chance Sisseno gets with him. Figulo is joined in the midfield by Lucius Toutio, another player who will likely be transferred inside the next few years. Both players expect to play for the U-21 national team, and Figulo may well make the national team for the next Baptism of Fire. Publius Comitan will be solid as goalkeeper and Numerius Opsio will provide a good scoring option up front, but the lack of good fullbacks and the dearth of supporting players severely hamper Sisseno’s prospects for this season.

However, the rest of the defense is shoddy and the attacking force is inexperienced outside of Drew Goyer. The development of Dionte Rayder, Fernando Lincourt, and Quincy Senecal will set the tone for the future of Dubas. Garry Dumont is a bright spot at attacking midfield and manager Ames Lebleu is widely recognized as a tactical genius. If the team underperforms this year, look for a possible leap to the national team for Lebleu.

10. Conlegium Thibaus C.L.

Conlegium will finish middle-of-the-table under the leadership of Viridius Luonero, but they are only one midfielder away from Globe Cup contention. Tiberius Cassio is a star at left back, but the real story for Thibaus is the midfield trio of Canius Libo, Secundus Macro, and Otacilius Sylla. All three players have untapped potential, but only Macro is a true attacker. If Conlegium can bring in another attacking midfielder, the passing abilities of Libo and Sylla will reap goals for years to come. Another subplot for Conlegium will be the development of goalkeeper Rusonius Iacomo. If he starts off poorly, he may be replaced by Atrius Bonoso, and Luonero has a notoriously quick trigger.

The team with the smallest market in the Premiere Ligue should stay afloat this year and have a solid middle-of-the-pack finish. Captain Karl Drury is a good stabilizing force in the locker room, but the real story here is 21-year old midfielder Etienne Legate. Legate has all the markings of a box-to-box star and will have the support of Gaspar Fenalon. It is unclear, however, how long Legate will stay with the team, and team management led by Napoleon Bonson will have a difficult decision to make at the season’s end: Transfer Legate and Fenalon for cash or try to build a team around these two budding stars. Dion Wiatt is emerging as a force in the defense and Kevin Contoid has the opportunity to develop into a star at goalkeeper. It won’t come this year, but the foundations for a dynasty are set in Bourgalt.

However, Yon Clerc is strapped for cash so his transfer is a very real possibility. If he leaves, Yon Clerc will immediately enter into contention for relegation. Caius Orano and Caepasius Sandiliano are good at defense, but they will not be enough to keep Yon Clerc afloat, and at this rate, they too may very well have new homes by next season.

13. Sporting Granier

However, a poor season will almost surely result in his departure overseas. Sporting has a good core that they can build around, but will the supporting cast of fullbacks Jerome Mathe and Tristan Lajoie, and midfielder Andy Calame be enough to keep the team intact? We say no and predict a poor year for Sporting.

14. Morice S.C.

Morice, our lowest ranked club out of the five teams from Saborin, is another team that is just a few years away from competition for a championship. Cyrano Duran and Burel Daoust are one of the brightest tandems at striker in the league, but Duran especially will need a couple more years of development to reach full potential. Noel Hasbrouck will be a stabilizing force for this young team and will be solid on the field. Russell Lefort and Marc Leduc will lead the defense in front of Morice’s goalkeeper, whether it be Frank Beauregard or Severin Limoges. We give the nod for the starting job to Beauregard, but manager Perren Urbain has not announced the starter as of yet. Morice will not have a good year, but they will be safe from the relegation zone.

15. A.C. Fontaine United

United is the most predictable team out of the 20 UPL clubs. They have no true star talent, but they are solid across the board. The problem is that it is impossible for them to truly compete without the superstar that they lack. Rolando Desautel may develop into that star as he is only seventeen, but United’s management should be looking overseas for a more immediate solution to their problem. Herbert Maille may be the player to save United from relegation, as teams will have lots of open shots against United’s defense, which is about as porous as a sponge. Troy Hatton is a bright spot up front, but he has been pressuring management for a transfer to a club that will compete, and frankly, we don’t blame him.

16. S.L. Damonus

The Stadio Damonus will be as loud as ever this year, but it may grow quiet quickly if Damonus loses as we expect them to. Manager Julius Catullus has begged the Damonus front office to give him better players, but so far, they have not given in. Decius Gavro is good at center fullback and Manius Vepgenus is strong at left back, but the attack is weak. Drusus Amatio is the make-or-break player for Damonus. If he has a good year, they could find themselves in the upper half of the table. But if he has a poor showing, Damonus has no other attacking options left, and relegation could be where Damonus is headed.

17. Dynamo Aydelotte C.A.

Sadly for Dynamo, being in the running for coolest name in the UPL does not equal staving off relegation. Dynamo will be fighting an uphill battle to stay in the UPL, with possibly the only thing saving them being the presence of even worse teams below them. Chariman Charles Precourt has shown an aversion to spending any sort of money and it is very likely that midfielders Chandler Thorell and Leonard Paret will transfer overseas or into Top 6 teams after this season. Eliot Curbow is a work-in-progress at goalkeeper, but may one day find caps at the international level. Stephen Ferron is pretty good, but not good enough to find major interest outside of Utilitas; unless he ups his game this year.

18. A.S. Viau

Le Stade Blanc will be flying Un Drapeau Blanc this year and manager Deston Pape is on the hot seat. Ivan Borra will be good at defense, but the rest of the team is years away from competition. Henri Dauzat is an enigma at goalkeeper. He is only seventeen so he may develop into a star, but for now, he is only just above replacement level. Eugenio Mote is a good attacking midfielder and has a wicked boot on free kicks, but his passing abilities is a question mark. He will shoulder most of the load on scoring for Viau this year. Armand Prieur will work with Mote, but he is often injured and may not make it through the whole campaign. Relegation may well be the fate of Viau this year.

19. Athletique Garand

Franc Couture and Rene Salamo will try in the backfield, but neither of them are good enough to stop the torrent of goals that Athletique will face. Roy Dubeau is a good goalkeeper, but simply not good enough for Garand. Dillon Gobeille has attacking potential, but lacks a means to get him the ball. It will be curtains for Athletique this year, and we may not see them in the Premiere Ligue for a long time.

20. Olympique Fiacre

Montaine Breon will be a distributor at holding midfielder, but his abilities may not be up to par with Top 6 defenses. Any defense with Marlon Cart as its best player is weak, and the dropoff in skill is astonishing from the other 19 teams. Luc Chappuis is the only attacking threat on the team besides for Vallier, but his lack of speed will prevent Fiacre from putting too many balls in the back of the net. It is almost a foregone conclusion: Fiacre is going to the USL.

Season 5 Results

Running alongside the Filopines Premier League and the National Championship League is the FFF Cup. Except it is now known as Copa Pilopinas.

Every season, FPL and NCL teams compete in a national cup competition alongside their respective leagues. For the first time this year, there are six conferences of six. They are seperated by the geography of Filopines.

Also for the first time, two teams from the regional leagues are invited to the Copa Pilopinas and compete alongside the best in the nation. This year's invited clubs are Paricos FC and Cañaque Gold. This will be practiced every season.
