Ruslan Ilyanov International Airport is the gateway to The Union of Soviet Republics' capital; Moscow. It has the capacity to handle up to 68,000,000 passengers per year. It is well connected to Moscow by high-speed rail, bus, metro, coach, taxi and limousine. It was only finished in Summer 2012 so it is basically brand new. It is eco-friendly and up-to-date, and it has many retail outlets.
Security Requirements
Ruslan Ilyanov International (and other USR airports for that matter) has strict security regulations;
-All people travelling abroad must have their passport checked (People travelling domestic Soviet routes, with Soviet ID cards can use their ID instead)
-All hand luggage must be screened
-All liquids, sharp objects, tobacco, creams, gels and aerosols must be checked in
-Passengers must walk through body-scanners before exiting security
The Airport is owned by The Ministry of Transport and run by SoviAero. Security is provided by The Zhandarmeriya and
Russkiye Transportnoy Politsii.
The Airport can take aircraft of any size.
