Welcome to the 54th Cup of Harmony!

Once you've accepted your invitation to the Cup of Harmony, please post your rosters in this thread. Then you can boast of your players' glorious triumphs while the mob roars ecstatic approval and your foes jog sadly towards the locker room in confusion and shame; or your opponents can single out the personal failures of your athletes as your fans' novelty headgear falls to the ground in defeat and their facepaint streaks with bitter tears of defeat. Ensure that future generations of footballers will know of the humans/elves/sentient animals/alien life forms/robots/undead/etcetera who boldly traveled to Wight and New Montreal States!

There will also be an RP bonus for posting.

Accepted!

My roster:

(OOC: This will be taking place in June 2016 Slembanan time.)

DBK Sports – Football – Squad for Cup of Harmony 54

Written by Pierre Darezi

Here, we will announce our squad for the 54th Cup of Harmony, which will be held in Wight and New Montreal States, two nations from the region of Atlantian Oceania. A notable change from the World Cup 62 squad is that Eddie Barlow is gone from the squad.

Starting XI (4-3-3):

Goalkeeper: Toby Gapman – 34 years old – 29 August 1981 – 104 caps – 1 goal – Bafilo United

Toby is a veteran goalkeeper. He made his début for his first club, Velbay United, in 1997. He is agile, tall, and a great shot-stopper. He is also first choice goalkeeper for club, and for country. He is hoping to keep many clean sheets. He is one of the most well-respected players in our team.

Right-back: Callum Potts – 35 years old – 28 July 1980 - 106 caps – 0 goals – Vanderlei Albion

Callum is another veteran, being even older than Toby Gapman. He has played for three clubs: Bafilo City (1996-1998), Bafilo United (1998-2004), and Vanderlei Albion (2004-present). Callum may be a small guy, but he makes up for it with good tackling and quick speed. He may not be the most well-known player in our squad, but he certainly is an important one. Callum is approaching his 36th birthday, and, as a result is nearing retirement.

Centre-back: Don Adobe (captain) – 24 years old – 25 February 1992 – 109 caps – 2 goals – Bafilo City

Don is in his second spell of captaining our team – his first spell came in July 2012. He is VERY tall (6 feet 5 inches), and is thus slow, but is still a great defender. Don has played for Bafilo City his entire career, making his debut for them in 2008. Don, as captain, is respected by our players, and is a good leader on the pitch. He can also bag you a goal if you need it.

Centre-back: Dennis Valfern – 23 years old – 13 March 1993 - 39 caps – 0 goals – Bafilo United

Dennis was not a first-choice player in the squad until August 2014, when he was drafted in to replace the retired Gavin Stockwell, our captain. Dennis had also captained our team at the Di Bradini Cup in 2014, the World Cup for under-21 players. Dennis also replaced Gavin at club level too. Dennis is a hard-working defender.

Left-back: Norris Rawlinson – 36 years old – 19 January 1980 – 98 caps – 1 goal – Chelsea City

Norris is the oldest player in our squad, at the age of thirty-six. In addition, he was dropped after scoring an own goal while playing against Apox in World Cup 62 qualifying. Despite this, he is still a great defender. He has scored one goal – a last-minute header to beat Bindu 4-3 in the third Copa Gaveo in February 2014. Norris was bullied a school for being a ginger, but has fought back to become one of the world’s best left-backs.

Attacking midfielder: Jyvx Dagens – 21 years old – 19 December 1994 – 108 caps – 17 goals – Bafilo United

Jyvx is one of the best players in our squad. He is a great free-kick taker (as well as a great passer of the ball), and is quite a regular scorer these days for our team. He has black skin. He is also quite a small player.

Defensive midfielder: Follin Maxet – 26 years old – 24 July 1989 – 109 caps – 0 goals – Bafilo City

Follin is Jyvx Dagens’ best friend. The two players went to the same school in our capital, Bafilo, and both have black skin. Follin is about an inch taller than Jyvx. Even though Jyvx plays for Bafilo United, and Follin for Bafilo City, they are still very friendly. They like to do everything with each other.

Attacking midfielder: Zorro Pullman – 28 years old – 12 May 1988 – 32 caps – 3 goals – Hardvesk Argyle

Zorro was not a first-choice player in our squad until December 2014, when he was drafted into the starting lineup after the Eddie Barlow saga. Zorro is a great long-shot taker, with his shots being VERY powerful. Opposition players will have to take care, and try not to give him the ball, because he can punish other teams with his shots (and good passing).

Right-winger: Finlay Yalnif – 31 years old – 21 April 1985 – 108 caps – 2 goals – Bafilo United

It was almost fifteen years ago when Finlay burst onto the scene. He made his debut for Bafilo United, our most successful, and most well-known, club side, in 2001, aged 16, and embarrassed opposition players with his tricks, skills, and nutmegs. He had a nice fresh face. It is now 2016, and Finlay is 31. Despite this, he looks pretty much the same as 2001, and hasn’t lost any of his tricks, skills, or nutmegs. Finlay loves to play, and usually has a smile on his face.

Striker: Val Kylx – 20 years old – 3 August 1995 – 109 caps – 100 goals – Honeybadgers (FSSO)

Yep, Val Kylx is back for yet another tournament. He is by far our best player, having scored 100 international goals. Val plays for Honeybadgers of Eura/The FSSO, and, before that, played for Feardallis’ Wanderers of Farfadillis. Before that, he starred for Bafilo United, our most successful, and most well-known, club side. Many foreigners mock Val for scoring oodles of early goals, and hitting the post a lot. But they don’t know the real Val – a great young goalscorer who scores many great long-range efforts. Val has won the award for “Slembanan player of the year” seven years in a row.

Left-winger: Yuppë Tárnix – 27 years old – 24 July 1988 – 104 caps – 5 goals – Bafilo United

Yuppë, our left-winger, also has black skin. He is a hard-working and fast winger, who provides many good crosses. He pops up to score a few times, too. The player likes to eat lion cubs – quite an odd diet.

Subs:
GK: Kevin Banks, Josh Pitbull

These goalkeepers are both in their early twenties, but neither has made many appearances, probably because of Toby Gapman being first-choice in our goal. However, both goalies are first choice for their club sides – Chelsea City (Kevin) and Yavelsk Rovers (Josh).

RB: Tom Iflon

Tom is almost twenty-six, but many people think he is only in our squads to make up the numbers. He sometimes comes on to replace our first-choice right-back (Callum Potts), but doesn’t get much touches of the ball.

CB: Warren Lockton, Hank Bowles

These two are also regular subs in our squads for tournaments. However, they still have less international appearances than Tom Iflon. Warren plays for Hardvesk Argyle, while Hank plays for Bafilo Ambers.

LB: Cezary Artur

Cezary has descent from an RLStates nation called “Poland”. He was first included in a squad of ours for the 2nd Friendly Cup way back in September 2012, which was 45 months (3 years 9 months ago). Since then, he has been rotated with other substitute left-backs in our squads. Cezary will hope to get some game time here.

AM: Derek Newman, Joe Baxter

These two players are both 16, and, like Follin Maxet and Jyvx Dagens, are best friends with each other. They were both included in our Friendly Cup 6 squad 3 months ago, in March 2016. Although it looks unlikely that they will play, they will both be hoping to do so.

DM: Friday Keane

Friday has seemed to have disappeared off the face of the Earth (in terms of international football). He has returned to a squad of ours here, but is only a substitute – which is still expected, as Follin Maxet is holding down the defensive midfield spot comfortably. Friday will still hope to get a run-out here at the CoH, though.

RW: Olajide Tamerik

Olajide is our second-choice right-winger, behind Finlay Yalnif. Olajide is almost 26 years old. He plays for Anderson City of the Premier League, and has also been on loan to Bafilo Ambers in the past.

ST: Harry “Komodo” Young

Harry was born in Zondelia, one of our many colonies, and even played for Zondelia at the second SPS Cup. However, after Eddie Barlow had been removed from the squad for the 62nd World Cup in 2015, “Komodo” (as Harry is nicknamed) was drafted into our squad. He made his debut in a post-qualifying friendly away to Gaveo, and scored our last goal, as we won 4-2.

LW: Javo Jexa

Javo sometimes comes on to replace Yuppë Tárnix in our matches. He is almost thirty years old, but is still considered by many to be a player who makes up the numbers (just like our second-choice right-back), Tom Iflon.

Manager: Colin Blackwell (Eura)

Colin became our manager in December 2014, when our FA appointed him to replace Gavin Stockwell, who had been sacked. Colin, who is from Eura/the FSSO, is an experienced manager who likes attacking football.

Style: +3

I am 105th in the KPB rankings.

Head Coach: Mikael Gibbons
Gibbons, originally of Darmen, has recently been forbidden from returning to his native country.

The coaches will select the squad from the National Player pool. Players are listed below, grouped by position and sorted by projection 'Depth Chart' position where the top player listed is most likely to be named the first player selected for that position, and so on. Depth chart positions are determined by performance in pre-cup training sessions, as well as performance and average ratings in the Vilitan League competition and previous appearances for the National Team.

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 86 ] Hooizo Nuakoi [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 12 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Nuakoi, a dual Vilitan & Turorian national, entered World Cup 58 qualifying uncapped and undeclared for either Nation. Nuakoi was widely expected to openly declare Turorian Nationality going into the qualifying, but with the rise of rival Ronji Miiastara, Nuakoi decided to leave the door open to a Vilitan return should he remain uncapped for Turori. After spending Season 26 and 27 at Turoki Isle, Nuakoi made the move to the Yeaddin Owls midway through Season 27 to become their #1 keeper. Nuakoi returned to Turoki during Season 29, joining the Turoki Tide as they finished runners up in the Stellar Division. Nuakoi was important in the Tide's success in the Tropical Trophy, the clubs first major Top-Level silverware, before rising to prominence in the lore's of the opening of a new chapter of Sporting Success in Turoki. Nuakoi led the Tide to the Stellar Division championship during Seasons 32 and 33 before a remarkable run to defeat rivals Strike FC in the 40th Globe Cup Final for Turoki's first International club competition title. Nuakoi's performances in goal were critical as a 0-0 shutout performance in the final match gave the Tide a remarkable victory in the UICA Super Cup, the first Vilitan League side to lift the trophy.

[ 1 ] Ronji Miiastara [ - Kiiarana City (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 58 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Miiastara joined Marine Coast United in Vilita for their V-League 27 campaign in the Declasse, just the second ever for the club at that level. Miiastara was tasked with keeping the ball out of the net, and he did just that, helping lead Marine Coast United back to the Stellar Division at the first attempt leading up to V-League 28. After competing in the UICA 'B' Champions League, Marine Coast finished a respectable 7th place in the V-League but just missed out on a UICA place. Miiastara jumped ship to Kiiarana City in order to participate in the UICA Globe Cup prior to Season 29. While Kiiarana did not make the huge title push expected of them, Miiastara let in a career low 14 goals during Season 30, leading Kiiarana to a runner up finish in the Stellar Division and a place in the UICA Champions League.

[ 82 ] Mumau Atla-Siioai [ - Turoki United (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 5 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
A Dual Vilita & Turori National, Atla-Siioai was invited to the Vilitan World Cup 57 Training camp - but so were 6 other goalkeepers. Atla-Siioai transferred from the Kionao Locals to Vilitan side Turoki United for the V-League 27 season. While his play for Turoki was solid, the impact of Atla-Siioai's presence was most evident back in Turori as the Locals were relegated from the V-League with a club record 20 defeats. While showing the importance of having Atla-Siioai in the squad, the fact that the Goalkeeper left the Locals high and dry has not left a good impression on their Turorian fanbase. Atla-Siioai has, however, made a name for himself in Turoki, repeatedly being named Supporters Player of the Season and leading the team into UICA Competition places.

DEFENDERS:

[ 2 ] Yoains Konoaafeo [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 68 :: GOALS::SR: 6 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Konoaafeo was the top defensive product of the Yeaddin Academy and was expected to be part of the Vilitan national team set up due to this fact. However, after not being capped during World Cup 57 Qualifying, and learning of Turori's intention to enter World Cup 58, Konoaafeo switched allegiances both for club and country. After playing half of V-League 26 with the Kionao Locals, Konoaafeo moved to Cednia Beach AFC where he would lead the Coconut Kickers to their second V-League championship, being named Turorian player of the season in the process.

[ 3 ] Lioniaa Tana [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- D/DM LC ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 66 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Tana is one of the most athetlically skilled defensive players in the Turorian arsenal, although Tana's weakness shines in technical areas like heading and man to man marking. After starting their career at Vilitan side Rammsissil, Tana moved to Eastal Lunar FC during V-League 27, winning the Vilitan Cup with the team during Season 28 but relegation triggered a clause allowing Tana to return home to Turori with Cednia Beach AFC for Season 29. After a miserable campaign which saw Tana without Champions Cup competition, Tana joined the Turoki Tide for Season 34, doing so in time for their 43rd UICA Cycle run. The Tide lifted the UICA Globe Cup and UICA Super Cup, one of three Turorian players on the roster for the Tide's Triumph

[ 12 ] Diauro Dlaminii [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 55 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Dlaminii started his career at Vilitan lower league side Alona Sissil where he impressed greatly, warranting interest from all the top named V-League sides. Dlaminii eventually decided to head home to Turori, signing with Cednia Beach AFC where he competed in all of the clubs V-League 27 matches.

[ 5 ] Noa-isinao Wioauoi [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 14 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Noa-isinao Wioauoi ws a product of the Yeaddin Academy who caught the eye of one Yeaddin reporter at a training session doing ball handling tricks, and the shared video went viral, sparking a campaign including a fan website and even local town council requests to invite the youngster into the Vilita National Team training camp for World Cup 57. Wioauoi was invited to the camp, but never impressed coaches Massa and Wrice enough to be capped during the process. Wioauoi, born in Turori despite leaving in Vilita, accepted an invitation from the Football Association of Turori to train with them in preparation for a playing role in the World Cup 58 Qualifiers. Wioauoi has spent most of his career at Arcticala Inlet, though did make a brief stop in Turoki to play a season and a half with the Tide.

[ 4 ] Balariita Muzmaara [ - Kionao Locals - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 15 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Muzmaara, one of the youngest players ever invited to a Turorian National Team training camp (Ignoring the Cocoboas), joining the Terrarokka Spirit during Season 27. After spending seasons bouncing between the League and Amateur levels, Muzmaara finally moved to play full time for the Kionao Locla.s

[ 61 ] Moia Fliporta [ - Kiiarana City (Vilita) - ]
------- D/DM L ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Fliporta started their career at Laiotia Locals in the Non-League system of Vilita. Known for aerobic ability such as speed, acceleration and the ability to jump higher than most anyone on the pitch, Fliporta is otherwise not particularly great at the technical aspects of the game. After holding out to remain the star at non-league Laiotia City, Fliporta finally 'sold out' and moved to the Stellar Division to play for Kiiarana City.
DEFENSIVE MID:

[ 22 ] Restiaa Mumamba [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 66 :: GOALS::SR: 3 )
Mumamba was the definition of a versatile player for Vilita's Yeaddin Owls after joining them for the V-League 27 season from Jlinal Cove FC. Mumamba played in every position from Central Defender to Striker, scoring a game winning goal in one game and a game saving tackle in the next. Mumamba is an expert choice for a third sub or to allow tactical changes on the pitch without substitutions being made. The strong and versatile performances of Mumamba during Season 28 earned Mumamba a high profile transfer to defending Stellar Division champions Arcticala Inlet but he left the Electricians the following season to be apart of the growing Yeaddin Owls squad. Mumamba spent 4 seasons in Yeaddin without recording any meaningful domestic awards other than the Season 29 Turorian Player of the Season award. The lure of international competition was too great for Mumamba who joined the Turoki Tide for Season 34, doing so in time for their 43rd UICA Cycle run. Mumamba helpd the Tide lift the UICA Globe Cup and UICA Super Cup, one of three Turorian players on the roster for the Tide's Triumph

[ 22 ] Klaillal Tuirma [ - Kionao Locals - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Descendant of Season 4 Turorian Player of the Season and National team legend Cuolia Tuirma, Klaillal will work with Restiaa Mumamba to become the future "All-Around" player for the Turori National Team. Playing in a unique role, Tuirma will be expected to fill the role of being able to play every game, in every position - even Goalkeeper, if there are no subs left. Tuirma will certainly be starting as a substitute during their debut campaign in World Cup 62 but may get the chance to start against weaker opposition.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 7 ] Rikko Rawaii [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 69 :: GOALS::SR: 16 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Rawaii's dribbling ability coupled with lightning pace make him a threat any time he touches the ball, to create something even from nothing with a few quick moves. Rawaii is not known so much as a goalscorer, instead, an opportunity creator. Rawaii was named Player of the Year at Arcticala Inlet during Season 26 and was named Turorian player of the year during Season 27 when Inlet won the Tropical Trophy. Rawaii would win the Stellar Division with Arcticala Inlet during Season 29 finishing second in the goalscoring race.

[ 17 ] Cediici Tzatzos [ - Makosile (Vilita) - ]
------- M R ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 69 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
A determined winger, Tzatzos is a product of the Strike Academy and remained a bit-part player for the club when the Vilitan League resumed for Season 26. Tzatsos was part of Strike's Stellar Division winning Season 27 side while being named Turorian Player of the Season, but when the success did not repeat itself during Season 28, Tzatzos was transfered to Kiiarana City. Looking to take a step back, Tzatzos moved across town to Kiiara-Torra in the Declasse division and helped to orchestrate a masterful promotion during season 33. Tzatzos would not stick around, however, looking to make the quick jump to the upper half of the table, signing for Makosile United.

[ 13 ] Vrotaoa Lorasoiba [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 66 :: GOALS::SR: 7 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Lorasoiba's impressive performances for Turoki United, including 5 goals during the V-League 26 season, earned a high-value transfer to top Vilitan side Arcticala Inlet AFC. While it took Lorasoiba some time to get settled into life on the big Island, Lorasoiba's performances were enough to get an invitation to the Turori National Training camp for World Cup 58.

[ 6 ] Raso Tareak [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 61 :: GOALS::SR: 8 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Tareak joined Jlinal Cove FC in Vilita for V-League 26 helping the club to a respectable 8th place finish. In V-League 27, Tareak's peformances improved with a pair of goals helping Jlinal to an all-time best finish of 4th place in the standings. Tareak's impressive performances in Jlinal earned him a transfer, first to Turorian UICA Champions League representatives Cednia Beach AFC, then to the Yeaddin Owls for V-League 30 before moving to Jungle Strike FC

[ 38 ] Tiika Diirotora [ - Kiiarana (Vilita) - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 29 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Diirotora is a dedicated and well travelled midfielder who made a name for themselves while leading Kiiarana City to the Vilitan Cup Final in V-League 27. After starting their career in the Liguon Valley, Diirotora made the leap to the Stellar Division for Season 27 and the move payed off with 4 goals and a post season transfer back home to Turori with mega-club Cednia Beach AFC. Diirotora spent a season at Makosile before joining Strike for Season 30.

[ 16 ] Rutaj Ranaso [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 30 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Ranaso moved from Turori to the nearby island of Turoki to play for Mavaloiao FC in the Vilitan Declasse when the league resumed for Season 26. After 2 strong seasons at the Declasse side, Ranaso joined Stellar Division side Eastal Lunar for V-League Season 28 and helped them win the Vilitan Cup despite relegation from the Stellar Division.

FORWARDS:

[ 8 ] Liinai Zakazaka [ - Jlinal Cove FC (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 68 :: GOALS::SR: 27 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Zakazaka joined Jlinal Cove FC for the V-League 27 season and gained some attention back in Turori for their contribution to the 'Cove's impressive top-4 finish in the final standings. Zakazaka was named Jlinal Cove's top player during Season 28.

[ 18 ] Loala Kigoouao [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 59 :: GOALS::SR: 22 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Kigoouao signed for Morata Valley FC for V-League 26 and instantly made an impact at the Vilitan club, earning Top Goalscorer honors in the Declasse while leading Morata Valley to Stellar Division Promotion. Kigoouao was unfazed by the higher level of competition, upping the goal count to 16 in Season 27 and firmly setting the expectation that they would be the go-to forward for the Turori National Team in World Cup 58. Kigoouao was named Morata Valley player of the season during Season 27 and 28. After many outstanding seasons at Morata Valley, Kigoouao joined the Turoki Tide for V-League 30.

[ 19 ] Jukkia Diijelhma [ - Kionao Locals - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 24 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Born in Starblaydia, Diijelhma moved to Turori following V-League Season 26 to pursue a new career in the Island Emirate. Diijelhma was one of the few Kionao Locals players in their disasterous V-League 27 season to receive even neutral reviews. Despite scoring no goals on the season, the Striker showed some skill that was required for the Locals to avoid another relegation in Season 28, and also proved to be useful for the Turori National team.

[ 9 ] Anuh Ciniima [ - Morata Valley (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 33 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Ciniima was born in Turori to Misrantian parents before moving to Vilita to study and train for his sporting career. The unselfish striker joined Morata Valley after their promotion to the Stellar Division for Season 27 as a compliment to Turorian Striker Loala Kigoouao. Ciniima, while able to put the ball in the net when needed, has shown to be an expert decision maker, recording twice as many assists as goals inside the box.

NSI already answered the invite sometime ago, but if that's a problem, NSI does accept participating.

Sometime after not qualifying to the World Cup, the Marills decided to accept their invite to the Cup of Harmony and are already planning on packing up to the place they will play for a while. Maybe it will be long, maybe it will be short, but whatever, it's better than having to watch everything from the sidelines.

The Freisan Farf Freitball Francitian (Official Farf Football Association in English) has officially presented WC62's roster:

Image

Manager: Hector Rossizzo
Assistant Manager: Gonzalo Mordáz
Style Modifier: -2.0 (ICly, the formation is TBA)

GK:
Name: Erfaon Lisdiren (Starter)
Age: 25
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Acrobatic goalkeeper
Bio: He was discovered by a Gorfalle Town scout by the age of 18. Quickly rose to fame by becoming Farfadillis' league's goalkeeper of the year and was consequently bought by Ferdullaele FC (Farfadillis' best team). He can stop almost any shot, but will almost always lose the ball due to poor handling. Due to this, the defenders that play with him are always next to him when someone shoots, to prevent an opponent's striker to score. He was really good on WC 61's Qualifyings, despite the insane amount of goals Farfadillis conceeded.

GK:
Name: Joan Raguzzelli
Age: 21
Team: Koloko
Style: Experienced Goalkeeper
Bio: Raguzzelli may be young, but he's experienced; Koloko is a mid-table team which almost never manages to get a good player from their youth system. However, they managed to form Raguzzelli, and gave him playing time since his debut at the age of 16. He's played around 247 official matches for Kolinkens.

LB:
Name: Illi Setentriona
Age: 22
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Can join the attack precisely, good at defending
Bio: Illi Setentriona has been called in Greffe's place, he was called due to the manager change, as Forretio Matino is even more attacking. He's really good when joining the attack, really good at tackling and short, but fast. His dribblings are impressive and is almost always unmarked. He won the award for best defender on the last FFL. Captain of the U-21.

LB:
Name: Nomá Greffe
Age: 23
Team: Flying Jellyfish
Style: Fast thinking, Tactical Mastermind
Bio: Nomá Greffe is a very interesting LB, he's a bit slow, but totally makes up for it by always knowing what the opponent's going to do. He's not very good at long passing, so he often tries to make the team play better by using short passing. After not being called for the national team for some time, he's returned.

CB:
Name: Yung Chinsúa (Starter)
Age: 24
Team: Feardallis' Wanderers
Style: Fast defender, prone to injuries
Bio: Yung is Saindí's heir, he's young and, even though he's not really similar to him, he's now the starting CB as Saindí has retired. He's not as prone to injuries as he was before, because he's been doing heavy excercises and has therefore become stronger. Saindí wanted him to be the captain. His performances during WC 61's Qualifyings were overall decent, with good matches and bad matches. He's demonstrated he's an aerel threat despite being short.

RB:
Name: Agundí Frêndê (Starter)
Age: 24
Team: Mabel Wigglytuffs (Northern Sunrise Islands)
Style: Very selfish, awesome dribbler.
Bio: Ferdullaele FC had always been interested on Agundí, but, as his father was the founder of his team (Fryi Frêndê), he had constantly rejected every offer. He's the best dribbler of the team, but the most selfish player too. He's been sold to another team, in what farfs call an epic comeback after Ferdullaele FC won the tournament, not giving them the star they had been seeking to have for 2 years is an obvious revenge, but a funny one. He's one of Rossizzo's favourites due to his playing style, his performances on Farfadillis' last matches were impressive.

RB:
Name: Cundo Nessi (Starter)
Team: Flying Jellyfish
Age: 21
Style: Almost perfect tactically sepaking
Bio: Nessi was born in Ruland, known as the "3rd world state", a state where almost everyone is living in poverty, and starving. He was one of those kids who didn't get an education because of it. However, he did play a lot of football and managed to be spotted by one of Flying Jellyfish's scout. He's almost perfect when it comes to tactics. Just Frêndê's back-up, but is flexible and may enter for anyone in the defense, or defesnsive midfield if they get injured/tired/on low-form/carded and Rossizzo foresees a red card.

LM:
Name: Friekder Dandalleion (Starter)
Age: 20
Team: Cednia Beach (Turori)
Style: Extremely Fast, always helps on the offense, a bit on the defense, tends to score goals by outrunning players.
Bio: After being the best Farf player on the Swamp Soccer WC 2, he was called by Ferdullaele FC and started playing on Farfadillis' first division, becoming loved by the fans (who already loved him because of his performance on the SSWC2) and was called for the national team, quickly replacing Bujkanovic. He's a very promising player, and is an example of commitment. He's been demonstarting why he's on the starting line-up. He hasn't performed really well in Cednia Beach, where he's played out of position slightly. Probably recognized as the best farf footballer after becoming an AO-All Star starter and a World XI starter.

LM:
Name: I7'imund Bujkanovic
Age: 32
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Fast, good on a defensive point of view.
Bio: I7imund is a fast midfielder, almost unstoppable on a long run. He's been the Best Farf Player of the year twice since his debut. His youth team was Tympú FC, but Ferdullaele FC bought him before he even debuted. He's not as fast as he was last world cup. As he performed terribly last world cup, a Swamp Soccer player, loved by the fans, and who is faster than him, took his place on the main team, but he recovered it during the WC 61 Qualifyings as an LB. Sadly, he's lost his place on the Main Team once again to Setentriona. Will get playing time, but not much.

CDM:
Name:
Frion Wanderis (Starter)
Age: 22
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Very good defensively, very good dribbler, decent passer.
Bio: Frion Wanderis is very good in important areas of the midfield, specially on a defensive point of view, the bad thing is he's a bit selfish, and that's not very good for a CDM. He's a very important player of the team now, and never gets substituted. He's been performing awesomely lately, how much his form may last is unknown.

CDM:
Name: Hu Okno Sereno
Age: 18
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Very good at defending, not that good at attacking
Bio: Sereno started playing as a defender, however, he was quickly replaced by someone else on the CB position. That wasn't bad at all, as he found out he was actually better off playing another position: CDM. He is a really organized defender and really young, hasn't got enough playing time in Ferdullaele, but is a really promising player.

CM:
Name: Yurpá Mêndêlöíndçêl (Starter) [C]
Age: 19
Team: Oyardo FC (Astograth)
Style: VERY energetic, decent when it comes to technique and superb defensively.
Bio: Yurpá is one of the most promising players here. He's not good with the ball, but he's a ball-recovering machine. He was named most promising young player by the Farfadillis commitee twice. He's finally gotten a solid place on the midfield, playing with O'rosso really gives him confidence. He's almost never the main protagonist of matches, but his constant steals always give Farfadillis an advantage. Has now forged an identity inside the field, often leading his teammates. An experienced tactician at a young age. Recently signed for astograthian side Oyardo FC, also, will be the captain this CoH.

CAM:
Name: Matí O'rosso (Starter)
Age: 21
Team: Mardi Lopunnies (Northern Sunrise Islands)
Style: Fast-paced, agile, playmaker
Bio: The best player on the team. He's the centre of every attack and can assist from very difficult positions. His weak point is dribbling, as he's used to pass the ball as soon as possible since he started playing football. He's very passive and never complains to the referee. His free kicks are almost impossible to stop. He was the best Farf player on WC 60's Qualifyings, soring 9 goals, sadly, he couldn't stop the team from being the lowest on our group. He was also the best player WC 61's qualifyings, too. He's supposed to lead the team this WC.

CAM:
Name: Ichi Tuzzio (Starter)
Age: 19
Team: Kiiarana City (Vilita)
Style: Very good at shooting from long distances, excellent dribbler, agile, and good playmaker.
Bio: Ichi Tuzzio was originally born in Dodeni, Dandillis, but due to the fact that if you're born on Dandillis you get Farfadillis' nationality too (and viceversa), he'll be playing for Farfadillis, because he hasn't played any official competition for Dandillis, just unofficial ones. He's demonstrated he's a hell of a player by shining last Qualifyings. He's the player most adversaries should fear along with O'rosso. He recently signed for Kiiarana City, Vilita. There, he's played almost every game of the season, finally getting competence. He's expected to perform even better this time. AO-All Star substitute.

RM:
Name:
Rancisc Tenian (Starter)
Age: 21
Team: Gwinevra Barbarians (Apox)
Style: Playmaker, horrible at defending.
Bio: Tenian is one of the first Farf players to play abroad. He is an incredible playmaker. He's the first Faroleran* player to play on the national team. Matino decided to call him for the starting eleven over Minduruguatzel. He's demonstrated that he's good enough for the national team and he may be one of the few things Matino has done well.

ST:
Name:
Fabrifé Numbá
Age: 30
Team: Tympú AC
Style: Fast, precise striker
Bio: An incredibly fast and very lethal finisher. Used to compete on athletism until, at the age of 16, his uncle persuaded him to compete on football instead, he did keep his athletic treats though, something easily noticeable. Currently plays on Tympú AC . He's returned to the national team after a break to care after his father, who recently died. He hasn't become the starter again yet, but he may in the future.

ST:
Name:
Yolo Fu
Age: 21
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Ideal Poacher
Bio: After Numbá decided to retire from the natinoal team for an undfefined amount of time, Matino called Ferdullaele FC's current centerforward: Fu. He's the ideal poacher: Exquisite heading, good finishing, good at reacting, good positioning and fast on short distances. He's demonstrated what he's worth, but the battle for being the starter against Johans will continue, he's losing it for now.

ST:
Name:
Neguimbelefra Fragreda
Age: 28
Team: Bafilo United (Slembana)
Style: Slow poacher
Bio: Neguimbelefra is VERY slow, and often has troubles with the offside law, but he's a superb poacher and makes up for it completely. He's one of the best players technically speaking. He's lost his place on the starting eleven with Ichi Tuzzio, Farfadillis new promise. Ths is partly because of his horrendous performance at world cup 60. He isn't getting any playing time lately, not even back at Farfadillis with his team, Feardallis' Wanderers, who are already seeking a replacement.

ST:
Name:
Septimus Johans
Age: 19
Team: Ogdenaire Oren (Springmont)
Style: Finisher, Awesome Dribbler and good crosser
Bio: Septimus is one of Farfadillis' best strikers, currently, everyone has put their eyes on this young striker, being known for being "the perfect finisher". He was one of the best players on the WC 61 Qualifyings and demonstrated he's a good crosser and dribbler. He's still fighting for the place as starter against Fu, but will start every game, being replaced in some of them. Now faces oposition from Juárez too.

ST:
Name:
Fermín Juárez (Starter)
Age: 24
Team: Avenida Victoria
Style: Deadly finisher who knows how to move in his natural habitat: the box
Bio: Fermín Juárez is part of this mainly because of how he played in the FFL last season, outperforming pretty much everyone. He's still pretty young and is expected to play really well, fits in a more defensive formation. It'd be a big surprise if he's a starter this CoH, but can be explained by how the team "underperformed" on the qualifyings.

ST:
Name:
Sê Mêrí
Age: 18
Team: Mont Blanc Club (Free Swiss States)
Style: Awesome at crossing and going down the flank. Problems with goalscoring, but really young.
Bio: Sê Mêrí is actually a left winger, but he can pull off pretty much any position on the attack. He's been playing really well at the Free Swiss States, so he mught get some playing time. It all depends on how lucky he gets, though.

Stadium:

Name: Farf Fragar Firshchendujmal I7'snerra
Capacity: 150,000
Picture: http://imageshack.us/a/img713/4790/alamierdaz.jpg
Other information: In 1950 the FFFF decided that it was time to have an official stadium for the national team, they had used Tympú AC's stadium up to that moment. In the end they brought the resolution for the Federal Council to approve (back in that time, federations had to draft resolutions for the Federal Council, which would approve them or not).
The 20th of August of 1964, the Federal Council finally gave the FFFF the right to build the stadium, they even gave them a really huge piece of land that the state had, near Ferdullaele. On the 20th of November they presented the planes to the FM (Farf Municipality). After lots of inconveniences, the FFFF finally got to start building the stadium. They got the resources from selling diamonds from the diamond mine they had bought back in 1952, foresseing they would need money for the stadium and believing it was the best investment back then. The total cost of the stadium was of about F$100,000,000, back then, the stadium had 90,000 seats.

It would be upgraded to the monstrosity it is much afterwards, in the year 2004, when the amount of football fans grew substantially. Out of 300,000,000 people living in Ferdullaele, approximately 1,200,000 constantly tried to get tickets for Farfadillis' matches, back then playing only minor cups without being a recognized national team. That often made tickets really expensive and almost impossible to get, that's when the FFFF decided to upgrade the stadium to the gargantuan thing it is now. Now having the permission to do what they pleased, they gathered the money to upgrade it in approximately 5 years, they had started gathering it back in 1999. Donations were also needed, with the Farf population happily donating, statistics say that 1 out of 300 Farfs donated for it. The average of a donation was F$10 (approximately 15 dollars). This meant 15,000,000 dollars in donations plus all the money the FFFF had gathered from their mine. Soon, they had enough money to upgrade the stadium, they decided that the optimal number of new seats would be 60,000, effectively making the capacity 150,000. There's much controversy back then on what materials they were going to use, as they couldn't afford much more than pretty average materials, something that Farfs certainly didn't like. Finally, on the 25th of September of 2006, upgrading was over and the I7'snerra was now a juggrnautesque stadium it is now.

The 2nd of October of 2006, the renewed stadium would be inaugurated. It rained that day and there wasn't many people there, but it was a party regardless. The people were happy to have a bigger stadium, this would mean they would have to pay less to assist a Farf match and that they would have more possibilities of getting the tickets. The first match played on that stadium was a demonstration one, between past Farf stars. The teams were "Blue" and "Red", with Blue winning 7-4 on an epic match most Farfs will remember.
The Farf football team would later on sign up for the 60th edition of the World Cup, playing at the Farf I7'snerra officially for the first time. However, the result wasn't good for Farfadillis, they would lose against Darmen 2-1, in a match where both teams could've score more goals, but the posts denied almost every chance. Those qualifyings were a nightmare for Farfadillis, just as expected. Later on they would win their 1st match at the I7'snerra by a 1 goal margin against Tales, the goalscorer would be Matí O'rosso. This would be the only match Farfadillis would win that cycle. On World Cup 61, however, the team would fare really well at the I7'snerra, failing to score only once and losing only once against Cassadaigua, sadly, they lost 8-1 that game, a record. The team would only draw two games at the I7'snerra, lose one and winning five.

Hutt River roster for CoH 54
AKA: The Smegs

GK – Dave Lister [Series I-X]

Lister is a slobby man, normally dressed in a leather jacket and hat, and one of his two best shirts (which have a curry stain down the front). He wrongly thinks he is a fantastic guitarist and his life dream was to buy a small farm on Fiji. This slobiness rarely shows on the field, where he is a pretty good goalkeeper and normally has a smegton of luck on his side

RD – Quagaar warrior [Series I (mentioned)]

The Quagaars are an alien species made up by Rimmer, after a garbage pod entered the ship. The warrior is essentially a discarded roast chicken. Remains on the bench pretty much all of the time

CD – Arnold Rimmer [Series I-X]

Lister's bunkmate brought back to life as a hologram to keep Lister sane. Often the butt of jokes, he is selfish but smart, and oftem has doubts about Lister's ability to do most things. On the pitch he is the heart of the defence, alongside his alter ego, Ace Rimmer, and can tackle surprisingly well for his age. Has quite a short temper

CD – Ace Rimmer [Series IV, Series VI, Series VII]

An alter-ego of Arnold Rimmer, who is modest despite being a popular, knowledgeable daredevil hero. As well as that, he is also an almost perfect all round football player who plays alongside Rimmer at the heart of the defence. His only weak point is marking, especially from corners, as he tries to mark all of them to save the hassle of the others.

CD – Kristine Kochanski [Series I, Series II, Series VI, Series VII-Back to Earth]

Red Dwarf's Navigation Officer who was the object of Lister's lust before she was killed by a radiation leak. Playing football, she is the player who gets the ball forward after a corner, towards one of the strikers thanks to her fantastic accuracy when kicking a ball.

LD – Olaf Petersen [Series I, VIII. Mentioned many times]

A Danish catering officer on the Red Dwarf mining vessel, and best friend of Lister. A very strong player who out muscles almost every opposing player, his powerful free kick contribute a few goals to the overall tally. His poor intelligence, though, means that they often go into the stands.

RM – Ramses Niblick the Third Kerplunk Kerplunk Oops Where's My Thribble [Series IV (mentioned)]

A former friend of Kryten, who suffers from computer senility. His real name is Gilbert. He doesn't really do much on the field, just crossing the ball into the box. Has an excellent way of picking out players in a scrum.

CM – Frankenstein [Series I]

Frankenstein was a normal cat, accidentally turned into the mother of every single Felis Sapiens and other similar species ever, and the holy mother of the cat religion, after being left in the hold when the radiation leak happens. Really just there to make up the numbers when on the pitch.

LM – Kryten [Series II, Series III-Back to Earth]

Kryten is a neurotic Series 4000 mechanoid robotic servant, who has broken his programming He is humanoid, with the exception of the flat cubical face and head. He is incredibly intelligent which helps him when playing his left midfielder position, pointing out the exact position and power to get it to the person/machine in the six yard box.

ST – Talkie Toaster [Series I, Series IV]

An annoying talking toaster, who offers toasted stuff at every possible opportunity. He is only around because he is an excellent poacher, going through people legs and hitting the ball into the goal during a goalmouth scramble, due to his amll size and the fact he is on wheels. His small size can be a hinderance as well, mainly due to not being able getting easy headers for a human.

ST – The Cat [Series I-X]

A humanoid descendant of a modern house cat (Felis Erectus), which had been Lister's pet cat before the radiation leak. The Cat cares about himself, and only himself, and is incredibly vain. He is the main goalscorer on the team, thanks to his incredible shooting skills.

Substitutes
GK - Holly [Series I-V, VII, VIII, Back to Earth]

Holly was Red Dwarf's computer. Holly's user interface appears on the ship's screens as a disembodied human head on a black background. After being left alone for millions of years, he has suffered from computer senility. Has above average intelligence but suffers from bad reaction times.

CD - Duane Dibbley [Series V, Series VI, Series VIII]

Duane Dibbley is the dorky alter-ego of the Cat who has a pudding basin haircut and big overbite. He still has the Cat's rather large sense of selfishness though, and this shows as he rarely lets go of the ball. He is also hindered by his poor intelligence on the pitch, but is quite fast, which is often used to his advantage

LM – Mr. Flibble [Series V]

A hand puppet penguin used by Rimmer when he was taken over by 'Hex virus'. As with the Quaagar, he just sits on the bench most of the time

CM - Queeg [Series II]

Queeg was a practical joke played by Holly to make him appreciate him being there he uses an aggressive command style and it's not unusual to see hi outburst angrily, provoked or not. Similar in working to Holly, he also suffers from the same problems

ST - Stab 'Im [Series I]

Stab 'Im is a motorised service and maintenance robot, named a Skutter, a 2 feet tall motorized box, with one limb, with three claws on the end. He can move fast but suffers from height issues.

APOX CUP OF HARMONY 54 ROSTER

(Note: This tournament will be taking place in September - October 567 A.T)

Manager: John Grigia
Style: +3.4

Spiel: After an incredibly successful World Cup Qualifying campaign, where we missed out on a play-off spot be only 1 point, and other highlights including 7-1 and 8-0 victories over Nopspri and Slembana respectively and defeating top seeds Aguazul 4-3 in a high scoring match, we will be ready to have a good go at this CoH. With a ranking of 59, we also now have the technical ability to hopefully progress out of the group stages and into the knock-out rounds. This tournament may be the last with this team in this shape, as several of the older members may end up retiring soon, with Ken Rickwright announcing his retirement from international duties at the end of the tournament, with Jarvis Staniels making similar muttering about handing over the reigns as well.

Darmeni National Football Team

Coaching Staff
Manager: Tim O'Donahaue
Assistant Manager: William von Kriesler
Offensive Coach: Tony Bordeck
Defensive Coach: Jason Erickson
Goalkeeping Coach: Robert Yelton
Physio: Yoram Abrahams

Style Modifier: +5
Strategies (Taken from the Oblique Stratagies of the Brevity Cup):
-Ask your body. When you're tired, and just want to give up, ask your body for more. It'll probably pay off.
-Adding on, 'cause one goal is never enough.
Formation: 3-5-2 is the first choice and will be used in just about every match. The 3-4-3 may also make some appearances.

Goalkeepers
Name Age Club
Troy Osborne 29 Eau Claire Aris FC
Kimi Siesman 22 Chippewa Falls Strykers
Thulani Daniels 31 South Darmen United
Brad Schreier 24 Rogerton Whitecaps
Brady Summon 22 Eau Claire United
Troy Osborne has been the starting goalkeeper since Adrian Kok allowed New Palmouth to score seven goals in a single game. And he's done a pretty good job. Kimi Siesman quietly sits in reserve, awaiting the day when Osborne retires, and he gets his own chance. Daniels, Schreier, and Summon probably won't see any playing time soon, but have been brought along just in case.
Defenders
Name Age Club
Mikael Adan 26 Scott City FC
Dustin Nguyen 28 Scott City FC
Charm Vue 27 Eau Claire Aris FC
Scott Rydzik 25 Eau Claire Aris FC
Oguchi Findley 22 Chippewa Falls Strykers
Johan Garza 22 Chippewa Falls Strykers
Matt Flemer 22 Rogerton Whitecaps
Arik Sikula 22 Forden
Trevor Goodwin 23 Eau Claire Aris FC
Terrence Sinapati 23 Menomonie United
Adan, Nguyen, Vue, and Rydzik are the only experienced defenders on the squad. The younger players won't get a ton of playing time, but Sinapati and Findley will see a few minutes off the bench.
Midfielders
Name Age Club
Luca Cormio 24 Scott City FC
Danny Beasley 28 Scott City FC
Tor Tong Lee 25 Scott City FC Captain
Gene Turko 22 Eau Claire United
Francisco Lyons 21st 22 Eau Claire United
Nicky Salapu 23 Menomonie United
Charles Ramirez 23 Menomonie United
Javier Zakuani 23 Brham United
Josimar Son 22 Darmen City FC
Steve Nystizor 22 Johnho FC
Maika Molesi 22 Menomonie United
The midfield is the heart of the All Greens. Cormio, Beasley, Lee, Turko, and Lyons are the starters, all though their have been some calls to replace Lyons with either Salapu or Son. Lee is currently recovering from a slump he suffered during the Qualifying campaign, although he did show some good signs late in the campaign.
Forwards
Name Age Club
Bryan Faulkner 28 Scott City FC Vice-Captain
Roberto Gregio 22 Eau Claire United
Sergio Autitore 22 Chippewa Falls Strykers
Fernando Grevsthan 22 Menomonie United
Natt Dittman 22 Forden
Adam McKay 25 Chuckio FC
Charmaine Hooper 23 Brham United
George Pele 25 Chippewa Falls Strykers
Faulkner and Gregio are technicly sound and great scorers. Autitore and Pele may see some time off the bench, and it's not rare for Tim O'Donahaue to make a double switch of the two starters for the two players from Chippewa Falls.

The Conclespian National Football Team - "The Schoolboys" - Cup of Harmony 54

Image
Fans: Et Piilgroms (The Nomads)

Head Coach: Blue Thunder (Earth Pony - Male - Age: 48) - Internationally renowned for his success as a manager for Silverwich City, Blue Thunder's potential was instantly recognized by the Conclespian Football Association and he was swiftly recruited as the manager for the national team. Known for his strict and disciplined approach to his coaching, his philosophy on the pitch contrasts his personality and he utilizes a free-flowing 4-2-3-1 formation with an emphasis on keeping possession via short, quick passes. Also, his wide players are a major part of his offensive strategy and he prefers them to be very technically skilled, with the fullbacks pressing forward to support the wingers. When outmatched or on the defensive he prefers to play a swift and sharp counter-attack that catches opponents off-guard.

Assistant Coach: Rising Tide (Pegasus Pony - Female)

Style Modifier: +4.0

Starting Lineup:

1, Goalkeeper: Matthew Peterson (Human - Male - Age: 28 - Club: Askern) - The distinguished and internationally renowned goalkeeper of Askern Football Club, Peterson is a goalkeeper known for his athletic and shot-stopping ability as well as his quick reflexes.

3, Leftback: Benjamin Hunslaar (Human - Male - Age: 25 - Club: Silverwich City) - Hunslaar is known for his bursts up the field and is more of a winger than a defender at times; him linking up with Lightning Bolt is often the source of goals as his curling crosses often reach the target man. However, this offensive mindset of his has often left a gap in the defensive wall and this can be a weakness when the team is caught on the breakaway. He plays for Silverwich City FC.

4, Centerback: Thomas Equitar (Human - Male - Age: 24 - Club: Moonich City) - Thomas Equitar almost forms an impenetrable defensive wall when he partners up with Headstrong; known for his strong tackles and ability to read the game, he has often made countless vital interceptions that would have let opposition strikers through on goal.

14, Centerback: Headstrong (Unicorn - Male - Age: 25 - Club: Caislaard) - True to his name, this defender's strength is undoubtedly his aerial ability and he has proven this over and over again for both club and country, his ability immortalized when he charged into the the box during a corner kick and executed a diving header crashing into goal, securing a place in the top four for Silverwich City.

5, Rightback: Ethan Dunlap (Human - Male - Age: 27 - Club: Sheffire United) - Dunlap is renowned and respected among his fellow professionals for his tireless work ethic and attitude towards the game. Sturdy in defense and also motivational in offense, he has often been the rallying point for his peers when his team is caught on the counterattack.

13, Left Defensive Midfield: Daniel Saegerson (Human - Male - Age: 22 - Club: Caislaard) - After being rejected from the youth setup of Silverwich City, Daniel Saegerson was then scouted by Caislaard, and has certainly made the former regret their decision after he guided his club to the 2011-12 FA Cup. Saegerson is nationally renowned for his excellent and searching passes, as well as his great vision which have been the source of many goals for both club and country, propelling him to stardom at the ripe age of 22. He is expected to lead the up-and-coming "golden generation", with a shift in coaching philosophy in many Conclespian clubs leading to the coming-of-age of many young starlets such as Sandy Steamroller, Fred Watson, and Jason Sevlari.

24, Right Defensive Midfield: Jason Sevlari (Human - Male - Age: 20 - Club: West Lumminense) Bred in the famous Est Schact (literally, "The Barn") academy of West Lumminense FC, this up-and-coming defensive midfielder is one of the most-vied for prospects in the nation, the quick tempo and pin-point accuracy of his passing dictating the tempo of the game. Also, his defensive work rate is astounding and he often stops opposition advances with his strong challenges and harrying of their players, giving deep-lying playmakers such as Daniel Saegerson the time to get his creative juices flowing. Although at the ripe age of 20, he is already seen by many supporters and pundits as a strong challenger for a place in the starting lineup against his club teammate Blade Runner, who's current injury has handed him a place in the starting line-up.

7, Left Attacking Midfield: Lightning Bolt (Pegasus Pony - Male - Age: 26 - Club: Askern) - True to his name, Bolt is renowned for his quick speed and acceleration, and uses his trickery to get around defenders. He also has a good crossing ability to get the ball into the box, something that his club uses to it's full extent.

10, Center Attacking Midfield: Ryan Cho (Human - Male - Age: 29 - Club: Silverwich City) - A distinguished player for both club and country, Cho is known for his great passing ability and vision as well as his unfailing composure under pressure, his work ethic and his leadership on and off of the pitch, qualities that are the reasons why he's the captain for both Silverwich City and the national team.

11, Right Attacking Midfield: Canyon Storm (Pegasus Pony - Male - Age: 27 - Club: West Lumminense) - Canyon Storm is a winger known for his excellent ball control and crossing ability as well as his superb finishing, often able to score from 20 yards or more. He often links up with his rightback, Ethan Dunlap, whenever the defender overlaps or gives him options.

9, Striker: Sandy Steamroller (Pegasus Pony - Male - Age: 20 - Club: Askern) - Sought out by Askern FC at the age of 8, Sandy Steamroller experienced a meteoric rise to fame as he made his debut at a mere 17 years of age, becoming the youngest ever goalscorer for the club when he scored against Silverwich City at 17 years and 278 days. Known for his accurate and fierce shot, this starlet is one of the most valued players in Conclespia, and has already won the Conclespian Footballers' Union Young Player of the Year award, as well as the league title in the 2010-11 season with Askern. Able to use both feet as well as his head extremely well, Steamroller is expected to lead the line for club and country for many years to come.

Substitutes:

18, Goalkeeper: Orange Cider (Earth Pony - Male - Age: 31 - Club: Silverwich City) - The starting goalkeeper for Silverwich City, Orange Cider is known for his easygoing attitude, being the "joker" of the squad, and also his reliability in goal and is a more-than-capable replacement for Matthew Peterson.

22, Leftback: Jacob Akordiance (Human - Male - Age: 28 - Club: Patriarch) - Solid and dependable in defense, Akordiance is a starter for Patriarch and has more than once saved his club when they were exposed, running back to cover and also clearing off the lines.

12, Centerback: Road Rage (Earth Pony - Male - Age: 25 - Club: Sheffire United) - Road Rage is renowned for his discipline in defense and his strong but fair tackles. Although he was lacking match fitness due to injury for much of the regular season, he recovered just in time for the tournament and is a vice-captain for the team.

17, Left Wing/Midfielder: Fred Watson (Human - Male - Age: 21 - Club: West Lumminense) - Watson is undoubtedly one of the fastest members of the squad, reaching speeds of up to 32 kilometers per hour (only behind Lightning Bolt, who reaches speeds of up to 37 kilometers) during his sprints down the flanks. He is one of the youngest players on the squad, at the age of 20 years and 3 months and he is one of the best dribblers on the team. However, he has sometimes been criticized for spending too much time on the ball and has been chastised by Blue Thunder for it, but recently has become more of a team player with his crosses and cut-backs into the box.

19, Center Midfielder: Thunder Storm (Unicorn - Male - Age: 19 - Club: Patriarch) - Thunder Storm is known for his bursts of excellence but also for his inconsistency. At his best, his displays in midfield are dazzling but at worst he is awfully unproductive and even detrimental towards the team's performance as a whole, which is why he spends most of the time on the bench. However, due to his unripe age and him being one of the four youngsters on the squad (Steamroller, Watson, Sevlari, and himself), he is expected to develop into a great midfielder.

23, Striker/Center Forward: Colin Manning (Human - Male - Age: 32 - Club: Caislaard - VICE CAPTAIN) - Manning is one of the oldest and most experienced members of the squad. Despite being in the twilight stages of his career, he is a consistent starter for Caislaard FC and is known for his ability to hold up the penalty box and is good at scoring from set pieces.

6, Attacking/Center Midfielder: Blizzard Edinsborough (Earth Pony - Male - Age: 27 - Club: Moonich City) - This midfielder is known for his cool personality and his calm in the storm. He is unwavering in the face of pressure and is not afraid to take on stronger players, albeit his diminutive size. He has a human last name due to him being adopted by a human couple, Tony and Mary Edinsborough.

21, Center Forward: Sugar Rush (Earth Pony - Male - Age: 29 - Club: Patriarch) - His name fits his work ethic as Sugar Rush can be found all over the pitch during a match. He has endless reserves of energy and this forward uses this to his advantage as he often pops up in the right areas likes to play a very physical game, often going after headers and challenging the opposing centerbacks.

26, Rightback: Jeremy Hunslaar (Human - Male - Age: 25 - Club: Askern) - The younger twin brother of Benjamin Hunslaar, this fullback is the exact opposite of his sibling in terms of playing style, personality and position. In contrast to his brother, Jeremy is known for his quiet and humble personality and his tendency to be reserved in matches and sitting back in defense. However, his commitment to the game is unwavering and he is respected by his teammates for this.

Permafrost Arena (cap. 55,000) - The home stadium of of Caislaard FC, this resembles a crystal ball at night, a definite landmark of the city. Two huge screens outside the arena provide live coverage of the national team during international friendlies or tournaments and is often a source of hundreds of thousands of supporters watching.

Image
Blacksmith's Cauldron (cap. 87,533) - This historic stadium has become a national landmark, located high in the mountains of the Eastern Lumminent Spur in Silverwich. The ground has served as the home of Silverwich City FC since it's inception in 1882, and it's name comes from the intense atmosphere of the fans and supporters, giving visiting players the sense of being boiled in a cauldron.

The Karditan Robber Barons

Soccer is illegal in Karditan. Thus, this is a team of criminals and corrupt businessmen. Players not further noted are most likely human.

Starting 11

Goalkeeper- Emanuel Portico. One of the most successful petty thieves in all of Karditan, he is incredibly agile and specializes in predicting the movements of adversaries. This helps tremendously in stopping shots, espicially PKs. He is married to Sweet Swing.

Left Back- Dorian Berard. Runs Hardcore Cola, Karditan's leading soda distributor. Has an odd obsession with an online game called "RLstates."

Center Back- Dust Pan. The head janitor in Silveen Eleco's Fillydelphia estate (see below), he is incredibly quick and maneuverable--taken from years of experience darting through needlessly elaborate hallways and corridors to fix and clean any problems that appeared anywhere on the massive grounds. [Earth Pony]

Center Back- Left Wing. A Pegasus hitman who is wanted on several charges of vandalism and arson, suspected of using small tornadoes and lightning to destroy the rival businesses of his clients. [Pegasus]

Right Back- Ivory Hilt. A freedom fighter from Vashameer who successfully bartered with Karditani authorities to allow his homeland to be carried away along with Ibex when the rebellious state was moved from one region to another via a fleet of military-grade helicopters. The land movement left most of the underlying soil, so the Karditanis got all they wanted: the oil. Meanwhile, Hilt has become the Governor-General of Vashameer under Ibex while continuing his modeling career. [Goat]

Defensive Midfielder- Havr Milosivek. A freelancer who spends most of his time roaming the streets of Moscolt, Havr is a generally amiable guy who isn't afraid to smash a few shins if you push his buttons the wrong way. If his Russian accent gets thick enough that you can barely understand what he's saying, you should probably stay away from him; but that doesn't happen too often. Will sometimes have to leave the pitch temporarily to respond to calls from his cousin Roman.

Midfielder- Yong-Hu Cho. Leader of the largest Triad in Neighpon. A bit of an amateur in organized crime when compared to Korzado and Carnac, but still not a man you want to cross--he is far more focused on revenge and overt displays of superiority than the other two (which is very amateurish in a crime boss). Probably the most likely of the starting eleven to get red-carded.

Forward Midfielder- Sweet Swing. The one member of the Robber Barons who isn't actually a criminal, Swing is the daughter of famous Karditinian golfer Tyre McIron. She is married to Emanuel Portico. [Earth Pony]

Forward- Lightning Heart. A buffalo with a bad temper. Really, that's it. More assault & battery convictions than you can shake a horn at. Isn't very swift, but few people will want to be in his way if he gets up to speed. [Buffalo]

Forward- Korzado. One of the few Zebras in Karditan, Korzado runs the Illineigh Mafia. His influence can be found in almost every successful business venture in Illineigh, as well as many in Detrot and Sinsinatti. A legion of all types of creatures serve him, and he might be the only thing richer than Eleco in Karditan- but he doesn't flaunt his wealth like Eleco does. Almost all of it is re-invested, whether in businesses or bribes. [Zebra]

Striker- Mario Cansetta. One of the higher-ups in Korzado's organization, Mario is in charge of collecting protection fees in Sinsinatti as well as organizing the official unofficial street racing league of Karditan. He's generally good-natured (he tries to convince his clients to pay their fees because he genuinely doesn't want to teach them a lesson), and is fiercely competitive. He'll take some bad shots, but it's damn hard for defenders to keep up with him.

Manager- Sucker Punch. A unicorn who's special ability is illusions of the nefarious kind, Punch is a strategic genius who plans to bring Karditan to the top. He runs the most successful corporate advertising/propaganda firm in Fillydelphia. [Unicorn]

Defensive Coach- Carnac Carson. The biggest personality in Karditani crime, Carnac is the guy you go to when you need a hookup. Everyone who is anyone has grabbed a beer with him at one point or another. Is rumored to have some future-telling powers.

Financier- Silveen Eleco. The Man in Karditan. He runs Eleco Industries, Karditan's largest electronics company. He inherited the moderately-sized business from his father, Sylvester, and grew it to enormous proportions with brilliant economics and some underhanded business practices. He organized the Robber Barons and put together their entry into the World Cup, maintaining a large role on the running of the team though he no longer plays.

Substitutes

D- Mark Cheez
D- Jack Howitzer
D- Pick Pocket [Unicorn]
M- John Bum
M- Rain Out [Pegasus]
F- Ron Ferret
F- Hired Hoof [Earth Pony]

Warkus National Football Team

Manager: Victor Vos
Captain: Ceri Owens
Formation: 4-3-3
Style Modifier: +3

Let's do this.

Starting XI

Goalkeeper: #1 Llyr Powell

The young 20-year-old has already had a ton of caps for the team. Pundits consider him to have amazing potential for a Warku player, and average potential for any other nation. Yeah. Even the unranked ones.

Full Back: #38 Wynne Priddy

Priddy is pretty boring. There is almost nothing interesting about him, other than the fact that he's the youngest Warku player in history. He's below average, but Vos trusts that he will improve in time.

Centre Back: #18 Emrys Griffith

Emrys has had problems with consistency. Sometimes being average, sometimes a key player and sometimes being completely and utterly useless. The Cup of Harmony will finally show if he's good, or just overrated.

Centre Back: #3 Gwenith Efa

Finally managing to impress with her performances in the Di Bradini Cup and the World Cup, she's finally shown off her skills in front of the crowd. But will she continue to perform well?

Full Back: #00 Iwan Rhys-Evans

Iwan, the 17-year-old sensation. Iwan is still a viral online sensation, known for being large and strong, with the nickname "Mae'r tanc anhygoel" (The incedible tank).

Left Midfielder: #9 Ceri Owens

24-year-old Ceri Owens stars as the captain once again. Notable for his leadership and ball control, Owens is likely to keep up a good performance in the Cup of Harmony.

Centre Midfielder: #15 Elwyn Dafis

Dafis has proven himself to be a useful member to the squad at two World Cups. People thought he might crumble under the pressure, but is he truly out of the battle?

Right Midfielder: #22 Peredur Selwyn

Selwyn is another player known for his inconsistencies. Despite that, he's an amazing player when he plays well and looks to have secured his spot in the starting XI for the time being.

Left Winger: #10 Morgan Rees

Rees has lost his role as the secret weapon. Players are becoming very cautious when facing him and his performance is suffering harshly as a result. He's going to have to fight his way to victory if he doesn't want his position in danger.

Centre Forward: #7 Trystan Llwyd

Llwyd is the classic superstar. Every nation has one, and Llwyd is no different. Fast, accurate, powerful, he's pretty much amazing. Although one may never understand the suffering that a godmodded legend like him must go through.

Right Winger: #99 Cynfael Trevor

Trevor is another superstar. Not particularly great at anything other than his running and crosses, but hey, he's pretty decent.

Substitutes
GK - Meic Cadwallader
CB - Gwenith Efa
CM - Mikel Johnson
RM - Cei Jones
LW - Wyn Kendrick

Kits
The Warkus national football team will be wearing a special kit designed to promote awareness for Aspies For Freedom. (Note: The third kit will be a new design for the next World Cup, designed by BURW)

This means that the contract with Kirola Sportswear has changed, and the team has announced that the Kirola kits will be used exclusively outside of WWC-sanctioned events.

Notes:

People from Warkus are known as Warku.

The team is very offensive in terms of their style of play. This includes their defence, which means that they can occasionally cause a few injuries. Despite this, the team isn't known for dirty play. They consider things such as diving to be pathetic and insulting to the perpetrator's own skill, showing that they are rubbish without cheating. Victor Vos, the manager, is a cult hero within Warkus. Vos was, in fact, a pretty decent player, but has been considered to be wasted potential. However, he didn't match up to the greats of the world, although fans would say he did. Fans will often compare Vos with greats such as Juan Tzimisces, Simeone Di Bradini and Ug-Ug. Please do not take offence at this, as Victor Vos is regarded to be one of the best players to have lived, despite his poor record and average skills.

ASMV World Cup 63 Roster and Information

Permissions:
You can do anything you like short of killing off players

If anyone would like to RP events that take place on Vegai soil, all you have to do is to let me know. Some areas of the DSE would be off limits to even my own citizens so we just need to clarify the “borders”. At least two story lines (besides my own) will take place on Vegai soil or deeply involve the DSE one way or another in WC62. All you have to do is ask.

I have in the past allowed hotels to be bombed (I think that one involved Atheistic Right, Bazalonia, and Ariddia among others), allowed a refounding of a religious order (Arch), granted permission for stadiums to be blown up (Vilita), and allowed my people’s goddess, The Mitrin Vega, to be used for RP purposes (Wight). Those are but a few examples.

In other words, if you wish to use any Vegai peoples of places in RP, I am open to almost anything. Besides, it gives me new avenues for my own RP to take shape.

Thanks for listening.

Squad Name: Sea Dragons

Home Pitch: Stadii se Draggonnii Arcea
Image

Colors: Deep Sky Blue & Yellow
Image

Style: Tidal Surge 3-2-2-1-2
(-2 defensive)

About the Tidal Surge
The Tidal Surge formation is a hybrid style that makes use of athleticism in key “flex” positions that allow the formation to ebb and flow between styles to take advantage of personnel match-ups and break opportunities. At any point in the match the Tidal Surge can more remind viewers and opponents of a 5-3-2 (most often) or a 3 4-3 (least often) but can usually be found flexing in between those extremes.
Three key positions make this formation work. The offensive midfielder with which everyone is familiar and the two hybrid positions called “UP” backs. These two positions are a direct cross between center midfielders and outside backs. These two positions use athletic ability to move up and down the pitch changing the formation to fit the needs of current needs. Thus at any one moment the formation can resemble anything from a 3-4-3 to a 3-5-2 to a 5-3-2 creating, quite nearly, the perfect positions for almost any situation.

Other style notes:
“Smashmouth Footy”. That is how the Sea Dragons play when at their best. They prefer the motto “Hit First, Ask Forgiveness Later” and yet they have become adept enough as to remain just on the safe side of the cards so many other squads get. When you play the Sea Dragons two truths are evident - 1: You had better be ready to play tough and 2: you had better be ready for rough play.

Coaching Staff

Manager: Pygan Ust'dar
Sex: M Age: 63 Ht: 6’4 Wt: 185 lbs
Club: Errion Vega F
Hometown: Anberie, ASMV

A hard-nosed manager who knows how to build a championship club - and maintain it as well, Pygan has been asked to return the Sea Dragons to their former defensive glory and put them in position to finally win a World Cup title. Breaking the Sea Dragon tradition of only carrying 15 players, Pygan has assembled 22 of the Empire’s best as he fully expects the cards to come heavy with this group.

Offensive Asst: Soribo Ough'eng
Sex: M Age: 55 Ht: 6’1 Wt: 180 lbs
Club: Carrington A&T University
Hometown: Carrington, Carrington

Soribo has built a collegiate dynasty on defensive play and opportunistic scoring. The latter is something the Sea Dragons will rely heavily upon as they get back to their defensive roots.

Midfield Asst: Cualonii Eld'tia
Sex: F Age: 29 Ht: 5’8 Wt: 142 lbs
Club: Vegai 4th Quad
Hometwon: Vurang, Eversol

Known for her implementation of a transition style and pace in the midfield, Cualonii will be asked to do the same at this level with just three midfielders. Her natural tendency is to have the middies push forward but she will be asked to have them transition back much more often with the national side. Time will tell if she was the right choice.

Defenders Asst: Niguyi Shy'em
Sex: F Age: 61 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 137 lbs
Club: Kura Kurii
Hometown: Aer’Jhana, Kunei

An innovative defensive coach who gets the most from her players. Returning the Up back position to more of a defensive style rather than the midfield help it had recently become will be a huge factor in the squad’s ability to stifle opposing attackers. Niguyi has been known to reward players for exceptionally brutal hits that change the momentum of the match in her favor.

Goalkeeper Asst : Wopiju Ser'age
Sex: M Age: 32 Ht: 6’6 Wt: 200 lbs
Club: Errion Vega University
Hometown: Errion Vega, ASMV

Wopiju is another dynastic college coach and has turned out more professional keepers than most others have players. He will be responsible for making sure his guys know the tendencies and strengths of anyone they face. Allowing goals at all is simply not an option he cares to think about.

The Squad
Indicates Starting 11
indicates Preferred Substitution
Indicates Other Reserves
Indicates Emergency Use Player

Forwards

RS 19 Fylen Kel'tas
Sex: M Age: 28 Ht: 6’1 Wt: 175 lbs
Club: Loire-Mourenx
Hometown: Thinvaux, Mourenx

Fylen Kel’tas. Perhaps the most talented goal scorer in the Empire, he was never given a shot at making the Sea Dragon roster due to the long-standing tradition of bringing up youth players early. With the very best of the young crop now having been dismissed, Ftlen will get his chance and is expected to dominate much the same way as Jonasei Ariq’Alara did during his days.

RS 22 Ekeuli Lor'rilo
Sex: F Age: 25 Ht: 5’5 Wt: 124 lbs
Club: Errion Vega FK
Hometown: Norinii, ASMV

Brilliant in domestic play, it is hoped that her lack of size does not work against her at the international level. She is quick and canny, she will work as a change of pace to Fylen who is a much more technical player.

LS 11 Syrinici Tia'bel
Sex: F Age: 31 Ht: 5’7 Wt: 141 lbs
Club: Malachai Ifreet
Hometown: Ashford, Kelsey

Syri has made a career of banging with the boys on the pitch, giving as many hard shots as she receives. She plays unselfishly and cares nothing for personal glory which makes her ideal for the spot opposite Fylen.

LS 13 Bolexii Pol'age
Sex: M Age: 21 Ht: 6’3 Wt: 197 lbs
Club: Isla De Marte University
Hometown: Stephyk, Acai

A top striker at the collegiate level, Bolexii brings a ton of size to the squad. He plays well with his head which is advantageous on set pieces. Perhaps he can prove himself worthy of a starting position when Syri hangs up her boots.

Midfielders

RM 21 Xataru Enth'umii
Sex: M Age: 23 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 172 lbs
Club: Errion Vega Polii
Hometown: Jumanji, Errion

The two dedicated midfielders are asked to cover a ton of ground and control the middle of the pitch. Xateru can manage just that. Quick and possessing excellent ball skills, he is able to harass opposing players as well as keep the ball when numbers are awful.

RM 03 Laken Kim'athu
Sex: F Age: 19 Ht: 5’11 Wt: 140 lbs
Club: South Beach University
Hometown: Warden’s Reach, Carr

A bit of a phenom, Laken was chosen as an all-Vegai player her freshman year - something that almost never happens. It is hoped that she will learn from Xateru and develop into a shining star fir the national side.

CAM 10 Acaugu Eld'mosu
Sex: M Age: 29 Ht: 6’0 Wt: 201 lbs
Club: Lai-Una Reisi
Hometown: Se Crucide, Misii

Acaugu is cautious as he moves forward to attack. He doesn’t like to leave the middle open but realizes that the two strikers need help sooner than later if they are to score. What he lacks in speed he makes up with text book style play.

CAM 27 Tekegi Ny'et
Sex: M Age: 27 Ht: 6’2 Wt: 188 lbs
Club: Piossa Juhinx
Hometown: Cyumba, Awesii

The exact opposite of Acaugu, Tekegi is a kamikaze style attacker. Reckless and prone to suspect decision making, he does make up for it with his sheer tenacity and direct approach.

LM 14 Yseelle Tai'ran
Sex: F Age: 24 Ht: 5’7 Wt: 138 lbs
Club: FK Kelsey
Hometown: Summer Hill, Kelsey

The other dedicated middie, Yselle is nearly a mirror image of Xateru in style and ability. Though some may question her inclusion in the starting eleven, her unselfish team play is just what the Sea Dragons need.

LM 20 Estaine Che'ia
Sex: F Age: 20 Ht: 5’9 Wt: 143 lbs
Club: Uza Uzi Sarud
Hometown: Bayt Al Kissaem, Sa Aln

Estaine is a solid player without an ego. In a system that chooses the very best that is a breath of fresh air. While she is unexceptional, she is still very solid and plays like there is no tomorrow.

Defenders

RUB 30 Panirii Ther'tai
Sex: M Age: 27 Ht: 6’6 Wt: 215 lbs
Club: Meldinburg UH
Hometown: Meldinburg, Meldinburg

Panirii is unusually large for an up-back. That fact works both for and against him. But with this new Sea Dragon squad’s focus on stiff defense he should shine through with his knack for being in the right place at the right time.

RUB 29 Keyean Ust'kelo
Sex: M Age: 28 Ht: 6’2 Wt: 194 lbs
Club: Carrington FK
Hometown: New Anumia, Carrington

Like Panirii, Keyean is a larger up-back who knows how to use his size to his advantage. He excels playing the ball in the air and is a solid offensive threat on set pieces.

RB 41 Lyxat Im'untu
Sex: M Age: 25 Ht: 6’4 Wt: 208 lbs
Club: Erda Khaza
Hometown: C’tai Thai, Triarii Rivii

Lyx is a Sea Dragon style defender who doesn’t hesitate to knock the opposition off the ball. He is known as a nasty player who doesn’t mind seeing a card flashed in his face. If he could cut those down a bit he would be a true star for the side.

RB 31 Mugak Ban'dyn
Sex: M Age: 31 Ht: 6’1 Wt: 226 lbs
Club: Radience Sarud
Hometown: Barataria, Radience

Mugak is the voice of reason on a back line of brash, hard hitting players that don’t usually ask forgiveness. It is hoped that he can help instill some control into the game of Lyx, but that remains to be seen and he is more than capable of playing well if called upon.

CB 54 Cadye Tas'dyn
Sex: F Age: 24 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 165 lbs
Club: Ominus Hera
Hometown: Maraa, Compar

Cadye is a big girl with a big mouth - and a big game. Still young by international standards she has plenty of room to grow into her potential. Treating the back line like it is a mosh pit is her way of controlling the flow of the match.

CB 38 Ikuno Ina'vor
Sex: M Age: 27 Ht: 6’7 Wt: 231 lbs
Club: Rayor CambraI
Hometown: Morsang, Royan

If you think that Cadye plays to rough, don’t knock her out of the match. Ikuno makes her play resemble a powder puff match. Violent and aggressive in his style, Ikuno is not truly happy until he has bloodied himself - and hopefully someone else in the process.

LB 17 Aldire Kim'kalo
Sex: M Age: 23 Ht: 6’3 Wt: 199 lbs
Club: Sarii Carrington
Hometown: Yagrish, Meldinburg

Aldire is not afraid to bang for position and yet hs the skill for a finesse style of play. The combination is deadly and opposing attackers can never truly get a fix on what he will do next. Aldire jut might be te key to the whole damn squad and its success.

LB 40 Xopuxabu Ess'kalu
Sex: M Age: 24 Ht: 6’2 Wt: 212 lbs
Club: Vega Dras
Hometown: Kinterpunt, Nairu

As a former defensive midfielder, Xopu has all the skills needed when pushing forward. But it is when he is dropping back that he is most effective - thus his inclusion as a defender. Xopu uses position over strength to hold his line and that will come in useful as cards take their toll on the rest of the defensive back field.

LUB 36 Kisurano Ar'is
Sex: M Age: 33 Ht: 5’9 Wt: 177 lbs
Club: Shalreix FK
Hometown: Motmardel, Vierzon

Kisurano has a great burst to the ball and a lightening quick first step. He uses that to keep opposing attackers focused too much on keeping the ball and away from trying to push the attck.

LUB 63 Ytiya Ny'kalu
Sex: F Age: 22 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 167 lbs
Club: Thrivist UH
Homrtown: Stratori, Falcione

A year ago Yitya couldn’t read well enough to sign her first contract without an advocate present for her. Now she is learning and the education is doing its job as she understands more each day about just how attackers go about their business.

Goal Keepers

GK 00 Sithias Zyh'athkim
Sex: M Age: 26 Ht: 6’5 Wt: 184 lbs
Club: Turin-Kelsey
Hometown: Zumrutkya, Alariz

The national side just released Sanlioch Bez’al. That tells you all you need to now about Sithias. Easily the third best keeper in the DSE and perhaps the best. Sithias has huge shoes to fill. He should not have a problem filling them.

GK 24 Lijytukii Cha'ina
Sex: M Age: 30 Ht: 6’9 Wt: 257 lbs
Club: EV Sarud
Hometown: Lophai, Qalim

Well seasoned and more than efficient, Lijytukii is a solid back up for the Sea Dragons. He understands the game and loves to watch film on opposing attackers. He knows their tendencies better than they do and uses that to his advantage.

The Baptism of Fire Champions are back in their third WC-sanctioned event, and after a poor World Cup qualifying campaign, troubled coach Simon Andfossen, recovering from the loss of his wife, has brought in two changes. One for the injured Thorvald Thomasson, who broke his leg in the 5-1 friendly defeat to Starblaydia. For him comes 27 year old Reko Saari. The other change comes from midfield, where up-and-coming KJP star Timo Lathi has replaced Luka Jarvinen.

The Daily Sheep

Cup of Harmony Squad Announced

Yesterday evening the Birolik Football Federation announced the squad for the Cup of Harmony. A few surprises are to be had in this team, firstly they have kept only 4 players from their world cup qualifcation campaign and replaced the rest of the players with criminals as part of a rehabilitation program. Most of the criminals are minor offenders, however there is one serial killer and a bank robber on the team so watch out for them. Anyway here is the squad:

Keepers

1: James Porter Failure to qualify
12: William Grunt Joyriding

Defenders

2: Graham Morris Arson
3: Hayley Rekkler Ate the last doughnut

Coach

Martín Tejera
Once regarded as one of the very best goalkeepers in world football when he was one of many foreign stars plying their trade in Cafundéu. Former Sargossan international who cut his coaching teeth at home town club Estrella Torreón before leading Nuevo Onwere into the SuperLiga. That achievement earned him a move across the city to Sporting San Marquez, where he has masterminded successive title wins.

Assistant Coaches

Principal coaching staff remain, providing much needed continuity. Meaning Hernán Ojeda holds on to an assistant coach slot while Israel Navarro continues to work with the goalkeepers and Javier Valentín oversees the fitness work. But Tejera’s long-time collaborator Carlos Tesero is added to the back room team, as is his former international team mate Ernesto Farías who juggles senior squad duties with his current role as Under-21 coach.

Talent

GK: 1. José Antonio Leiva (35) - Scott City FC (Darmen)
Renowned locally as a safe pair of hands. A succession of consistent campaigns saw the keeper attract interest overseas and he's since headed for a new challenge in Darmen.
GK: 13. Cristian Deballa (32) - Dunas Del Sol
Boasts the fastest reflexes in the SuperLiga which would make him an instant starter were it not for the occasional devastating lapse in concentration.
GK: 25. Fernando Surza (33) - Jaguarés
Decent goalkeeper. Collects Koi Carp, which is nice.

DR: 2. Toni Siqueira (30) - Ciudad Soluca
Gallivanting right sided fallback with pace to burn and technique that comes from being half Cafundelense.
DRC: 5. Leandro Gonzàlez (26) - El Nacional
Former captain of the Under-21 side who has become an integral member of the senior squad. Has become the youngest El Nacional captain in their history.
DLC: 6. Matías Cardozo (27) – El Nacional
Snapped up from lower league Rayo Camei to form an imposing SuperLiga defensive partnership with Gonzàlez. A partnership former coach Erassi hoped to recreate for the national side.
DL: 3. Lautaro Formica (25) – Sporting San Marquez
The second son of Marquezian immigrants who couples sound defensive instincts with a wand of a left foot. Clocked up twelve goals from set pieces last season.
DC: 12: Juan Delgado (35) - Sporting San Marquez
One club man who is something of a legend in his native San Marquez. Few read the game better but he sprints like a someone wading through treacle.
DC: 14. Bruno Trejo (30) - Ciudad Soluca
A late bloomer who in the space of five years has gone from the third tier to become one of the nation's most accomplished defenders. But a shaky first season in Soluca has seen him drop down the pecking order.
DLC: 19. Luis Parra (31) - Scott City FC (Darmen)
Primarily a left back but has the attributes to fairly effortless drop into the centre, versatility much admired by the new coach.
DR: 21: Gonzalo Soriano (25) - El Nacional
Pacy rightback with a devil of a cross on him. Has a good understanding with club mate Gonzàlez and will push Siqueira hard for a starting berth.

DMC: 4. Lucas Ramís (24) – Sporting San Marquez
Key member of a Sporting side looking increasingly formidable in the SuperLiga.
AMR: 7. Andrés Guerrón (32) - Chastings Heights (Civil Citizenry)
Wing wizard with pace that wouldn't look out of place at the Olympics. The onus will be on him to push forward to support the big men up front.
MC: 8. Luís Ángel Landín (34) - Alianza Jucaro
Consistently one of the SuperLiga's most, well, consistent performers. Offers a neat and tidy range of passing and the ability to dictate the Corsairs' tempo.
AML: 11. Alejandro Echeverría (30) - Ciudad Soluca
This boy's a bit special and we're not talking in the crash helmet and crayons sense. Stick him anywhere in the attacking third and he can make something happen. Handed the captain's armband by Tejera.
AMRC: 15. Matías Montiel (30) - Vincanto (Erathore)
Ridiculously talented playmaker who hits a dream of a freekick and could conceivably thread a ball through the eye of a needle. Was just a little lightweight for Erassi's preferred blend of powerplay but could benefit greatly from the change in coach.
MRC: 16. Hugo Messina (33) - Alianza Jucaro
A consistent domestic performer with a neat array of passing and a passion for flamenco dancing. We're not sure how that helps.
MLC: 18. Kike Galán (23) – Sporting San Marquez
Miniature midfield dynamo whose influence in the centre often belies his diminutive stature.
DMC: 22. Ignacio Caballero (28) - Ciudad Soluca
A midfielder destroyer who fought off a tonne of attacking talent to take last season's SuperLiga player of the year award.
AMLC: 24. Sebastian Leto (31) - Sporting San Marquez
Scorer of last year's SuperLiga goal of the season, a 40 yard thunderbolt against Juventudé. Tricksy winger who provides left sided backup for Echeverría.

FLC: 9. Gelson Di Santo (20) – Ciudad Soluca
A real find from the Ciudad academy who scored nine goals in the final twelve league fixtures last season as his club lifted the title. Can play up front or wide on the left.
FC: 10. Alejandro Martinuccio (30) - Astograth University (Astograth)
A goal happy target man who has recently being doing the rounds of club football in Astograth. He’s now surfaced at domestic champions Astograth University. Which is much less confusing.
FC: 17. Mariano Estrada (23) – Sporting San Marquez
Twenty five goals last season says it all for the forward widely seen as the heir apparent to recently retired goal-getter Celso Esquivel.
FLC: 20. Carlos Montero (25) - Dínamo Maturín
The youth coaches at the Ciudad Deportiva are no strangers to unearthing gems and Carlos is the latest to excel for the Dínamo first team.
FRC: 23. Lucas Andrada (29) - Turoki Tide (Vilita)
A talented lad plucked from SuperLiga midtable obscurity by sharp eyed V-League scouts. Now plying his trade in Turoki after spells at Kiiarana and Yeaddin Owls. Helped his club to victory at the 40th Globe Cup and subsequent AlfaCredit Super Cup. Which probably constitutes a good season.

Style
A fluid 4-3-3 in possession, a more solid 4-5-1 without the ball. Probable starting eleven (Listed L to R)
Leiva -- Formica - Gonzàlez - Cardozo - Soriano -- Galán - Ramís - Montiel -- Echeverría - Estrada - Andrada

The Pony Republic of Equestrian States
National Hoofball Team - Cup of Harmony 54 Roster

Team History
Hoofball is easily the most popular sport in the Equestrian States. Known internationally as football or soccer, the game has long been a part of the Equestrian sporting identity. However, it was not until just a few decades ago that the first national leagues began organizing in the country, and even younger than the leagues is the Equestrian national team.

Formed prior to the 58th World Cup, the first international tournament participated in by the Equestrian States was Baptism of Fire 45. But despite the team’s decent performance, they were eliminated by the end of the group stage. Looking to redeem themselves, the Equestrians joined Market Cup V. As the tournament progressed, many teams shifted their best teams to the World Cup, but the Equestrians remained invested in the Market Cup. In the end, the Equestrian States would win the Market Cup, but thanks to their neglect of the qualifiers, failed miserably in World Cup 58.

The next appearance of the Equestrian States would come in the first regional tournament in the Pony Lands: Equestria Cup I. Organized and hosted by the Equestrian States, the tournament was not large by international standards, but given the general lack of interest in sports in the Pony Lands, it was a decent-sized competition. After finishing third in the Equestria Cup, the Equestrians looked forward to World Cup 59.

While the Equestrian performance in the World Cup 59 qualifiers was okay, the team and its supporters still felt the agony of elimination despite several upsets including a scoreless draw with the highly-ranked Jeruselem squad. Fortunately, the Equestrian States was recognized for its turnaround and was invited to compete in Cup of Harmony 51. Although the Equestrians went into the tournament with low expectations, they would silence their critics by stunning the higher-ranked West Zirconia and Darmen teams on their way to winning the group. Unfortunately, the Equestrians were drawn against Wight in the round of 16 and fell in a closely-contested match.

After two World Cup qualifying campaigns, the Equestrians were slowly rising higher in the rankings. But despite their increasing successes, few expected the Equestrian States to have a strong run as the World Cup 60 qualifiers got underway. While the team experienced a sluggish start, the Equestrians quickly recovered and upset Western Cuba on the road with a draw as the first half of the campaign came to a close. The second half of the tournament would witness a display of prowess by the Equestrian States not seen since the Market Cup. In the end, the Equestrians would advance to the playoff pods after an upset victory over Western Cuba. Their first playoff match, against West Zirconia, resulted in a surprising victory for the Equestrians and they advanced to face Astograth in a match to decide who would play in the World Cup. It was a close game, but the Equestrians would fall in additional extra time and instead of a stunning World Cup berth, went on to Cup of Harmony 52. Perhaps demotivated by just how close they came to qualifying, the Equestrians performed poorly in the Cup of Harmony. Finishing third in their group with losses to Kiryu-shi and Civil Citizenry, the Equestrians were knocked out of the tournament.

The World Cup 61 qualifiers would also prove to be painful for the Equestrian States. Despite dominant wins against several decent-ranked teams, the Equestrians struggled against several of the lowest-ranked teams in the group and found themselves in fourth place at the midpoint. Having come into the tournament looking to make the World Cup for the first time, the Equestrians knew they were far behind in the race and would have to perform well in the second half to have even a chance at a playoff spot. But cruel fate seemed to be against the Equestrian States in the tournament, and despite surprising draws on the road against both Cosumar and Krytenia, the Equestrians fell just short of advancing thanks to a couple of home draws against the lower teams that robbed the Equestrian States of the precious few points that would have allowed them to advance. To add injury to insult, starting goalkeeper High Soarin’ was unable to play in the last few critical matches thanks to an untimely injury.

Once again, the Equestrians went to compete in the Cup of Harmony as a consolation prize for their valiant efforts at qualification. The group stage was difficult, and with High Soarin’ unable to play, the Equestrians were forced to rely on back-up Mac Stevenson. While the Equestrians snuck out of the group in second place, they ran into a wall against the host nation of Turori. After 120 minutes of hard play, the match was to be decided by penalties. Equestrian fans could hardly watch as Stevenson failed to stop a single shot. Once again, the Equestrian States had come close only to be denied and eliminated.

Making their fifth attempt to qualify, the Equestrians were drawn into Group 9 and went on the road to start their campaign against expected group runner-up Darmen. But the Ponies stunned the Darmenis, taking home a shocking upset victory by a score of 3-2. However, the team's morale would take a severe beating three weeks later in Qazox, where the Equestrians suffered their worst defeat of all-time (6-2) and also lost goalkeeper High Soarin' for the next few months to an injury. As the qualifiers progressed, the Ponies were handed upsets by both United Gordonopia and the Scandinavian Islands. The team's once considerable lead over Darmen shrank to a mere two points, and the Ponies were forced to keep on winning to stay ahead of the Darmenis. In the end, the group's playoff spot was to be decided on the final match day. The Equestrians played on the road in the hellish wastelands of Gangnam, while the Darmenis faced Qazox. While Darmen determined starters would overrun the Qazian reserves, the Equestrians also managed to triumph over their foe, sending the Ponies to Astograth for a playoff against Jeru FC. The Equestrians fought for the spot in the World Cup to the final minute, but despite their efforts, the Ponies fell short 3-2 to heavily-favored Jeru FC. For the second time, the Equestrians had nearly qualified against a much higher-ranked opponent, only to come up empty-hooved.

The Equestrians will be making their fourth consecutive appearance in the Cup of Harmony in the tournament's 54th running. After such a strong performance in the World Cup qualifiers, despite a few road bumps, the Ponies will be looking to make it past the first elimination round for the first time, and perhaps go even farther in the tournament.

Former Oasirican Republic of Ossidiacqua
Image
Roster for Cup of Harmony 54

Image

ESSENTIAL BACKGROUND:
Ossidiacqua is a nation coming blinking into the light of the international community. In what seems like mere years ago for most nations, as Oasirica, they sent a team to the Baptism of Fire. Meanwhile, at home, with a terrible disease name la Plaga ravaging the country, the academics of the nation prepared to put up a time wall around the central hospital that would allow medics and scientists on the inside to spend months developing a cure or vaccine for la Plaga, whilst only days passed outside the time wall, allowing the maximum population to be saved. However, it went wrong, and the time wall surrounded the entire nation, cutting off the baptism of fire squad. Months passed outside the wall, whilst inside it, la Plaga decimated the native population, leaving Djocorangan refugees in the nation untouched, ensuring they became the primary caregivers and nation re-builders.

The time wall eventually dissipated after 270 years, labelled 'The Pause Time' by those inside the wall, revealing the nation of Ossidiacqua to the world for the first time. It was a much changed place, the weather, land, and cities had all changed, and the genetic heritage of the population had shifted from 99% Oasirican and 1% Other, to 97% Djocorangan and 3% Old Oasirican and the paragraphs below the roster go some way to explaining some of what has happened as a consequence. You are also encouraged to read the series of RPs written during Oasirica's BoF, as they will provide a lot of back story that informs this complicated nation:

The Acquan game has been cut off from the rest of the multiverse for 270 years, and as such has developed a unique flavour and style of its own. Short passes, keeping possession, and running are the key to the majority of play, with Acquan teams keen to instil a sense of duty in their players that leads to any of them being able to play or deputise in any other position during the course of a match. The players are very capable with the ball, and have developed tricks and flicks enough to bamboozle any opponent, way ahead of their time as far as the rest of the multiverse is looking at it. However, they have much to learn about the way the rest of the footballing community plays their game, and with the Acquan game developing a far higher tolerance for rough and tumble, even the silkiest of attacking forwards (and in this squad there are four outstanding interchangeable strikers) can find themselves sent off for an illegal tackle that would have been perfectly legal in the Acquan leagues. Therefore, it would be of great help to me if you could RP my team as technically gifted, but tactically naive, and as far as international standards go, incredibly violent. Thank you.

Lit by oil lamps and featuring vast walls of stained glass, it seats 103,450 and is a treasured landmark, being one of the first building built by Acquans following the eradication of la Plaga, as the nation began to reinvent itself during the Pause Time.

Supporters: True to form for a nation whose people are generally scared witless of technology, the Acquans traditionally don't travel in huge numbers. However, that is all to change, and nations preparing themselves to face La Renaissance on the football pitch must now also prepare themselves for the arrival of a fleet of poorly maintained airships that contain scores of rabid Acquan supporters. Airships not being the fastest method of transport however, they may sometimes arrive a bit late. Like, weeks...

Assassins: After he resigned as the Magisterium's mole in the footballing administration to focus on just coaching, Yoann Vega was trailed by a score of assassins during WC Qualifying on the orders of His Excellency Grand High Cardinal Giocomo Re. Several botched attempts and many dead assassins later, the manager of the national team Alessio Cardinale was tragically killed by an errant crossbow bolt that was intended for Vega, causing a minor scandal in New Montreal States in the process. Now manager of the team, Yoann Vega is likely to continue being a target of the Magisterium and the wrath of Giocomo Re. With the prospect of a return to New Montreal States in the draw, this could get interesting provided my opponent's RP permissions allow it to be...

FURTHER BACKGROUND:
The land of Oasirica was a large and beautiful one. After suffering the ravages of an unpredictable climate and loss of knowledge during the Pause Time, it has been transformed by the Djocorangan survivors of la Plaga into the Former Oasirican Republic of Ossidiacqua. Consisting of one main island and a handful of surrounding smaller ones, it can be found towards the north-west of the Vatmark region of Rushmore. The capital city of Sant'Elia is by far the biggest conurbation, and it whilst it used to shine with its golden spires and silver domes, it is now a shambolic and chaotic mix of alleyways and squares and piazzas, though the Acquans are making every effort to restore the city to its former glory, even getting the steam powered monorail back up and running, and employing a dirigible courier service.

Clean running water used to flow across the land and around the cities in an extensive network of aqueducts, channels, and canals. The continued eruption of volcanoes in the large Patriarchate of Vul in the east of the country during the Pause Time has affected this however, located over extensive mineral deposits as they were. These deposits included a huge amount of obsidian, obsidian that was distributed through the land in huge quantities, tainting the water, and giving the nation its new name. The water the flows is now nearly jet black in colour, and requires extensive treatment before it can be used as drinking water, leading the Acquans to rely on condensers that extract moisture from the dry air and from boiled off water vats often situated near rivers. These condensers often break, and are fixed by tech-priests who use mainly copycat work and guesses accompanied by some rather frenzied prayer rather than any informed ability to fix and maintain the machines, the knowledge for which died with the rapid spread of la Plaga. The weather is taking longer to recover from the time wall than expected, and the land whilst not particularly hot, is still exceptionally dry. The Oasiricans were a highly educated and cultured race, and the fall and loss of knowledge is embarrassing to the Acquans.

The patriarchate governmental system has moved from the old religion to one offering praise to a mechanical deity of no name, only various titles, with tech-priests and those in the Magisterium holding a high amount of respect. Since the dubious death of the former president, it is the maniacal Grand High Cardinal Giocomo Re who is in charge of the country, supposedly on an interim basis.

Football in Ossidiacqua is the national sport, and support is fanatical, with excitement only increasing in intensity thanks to the recent successful hosting of the Baptism of Fire alongside Iturributa. The Campiocinato continued during the Pause Time as a way to keep spirits up and has been running for 314 seasons as the football league structure in the country, with three divisions, A-Liga, B-Liga, and C-Liga. The league has dominated by the three big Sant'Elia clubs; CA Conquistadores (67 Campiocinatos), Condensadores CD (62), Caballeros CF (58), as well as by Qolo-Qolo (47). Internazionale (23), Atletico Sant'Elia (17), Unión Gimignano CF (17), AS Débardeurs Nationale (11), Magisterio AC (9), Académica di Terrabianco (4), RCD San Marco (1), Clube Cobreloa (1), and FC Sommieres Hibernia (1) are the other clubs to have sealed a title so far. Most big clubs are represented in the selection of players to go to the Cup of Harmony, as they were for the BoF and qualifying campaign, with captain Ricardo Velasquez, descendant of the legendary captain Stefano Velasquez, looking to unite the usually very partisan fans of the Sant'Elia clubs so that they may get behind and support the team.

High Heels National Football Team
The Foxes

The tales of the tower full of hot girls that won the under-21 World Cup are a couple of years old now. Despite obvious distortions of fact the central theme remains popular, and the women's football team from High Heels enjoy an international recognition well in excess of their actual record. The Foxes' 4-1-9 record in World Cup 62 qualifying have elicited some calls for a mixed 'truly representative' national team, but the Cup of Harmony 54 squad will not feature wholesale changes.

Still one man has been brought in, College of Liberal Arts midfielder Shahzad Cone, to take the spot of the pregnant Malene Slingback. Caroline Cowboy, the youngest Fox, moves to her natural place on the wing. When interviewed about Shahzad's addition defender Alexandria Pump had the most quotable comment: "Hey, guys can be foxes too."

Keeper Kaisa Cuban, just turned 20, is the Foxes' best-known player. She plays for Sporting Boulder in The Babbage Islands' FĈB. In her debut season she was named the league's rookie of the year, and in her next two seasons the club won back-to-back league titles and she won one most outstanding player award. Two Sporting teammates, playmaker Meline Stiletto and striker Nicolene Wedge, also highlight on the squad. Captain Melody Mule, the first player from High Heels ever to sign overseas, is a potent scoring force. Amanda Pump, manager of the Di Bradini Cup 23 champions, now manages the senior national team surrounded by familiar faces.

The Foxes play a 3-5-2 formation with plenty of style (+4).

About High Heels

The Fifty-Story Arcology (once called the Most Serene Republic) of High Heels is indeed an arcology, a single massive 50-story tower that provides a nearly self-contained living environment for many thousands. Legally the tower that is High Heels is recognized in Paripana as the city of Högklackat, and IdrottsLiga av Högklackat is an associate member of the Paripana Sporting Council.

The ground floor, or Interface Zone, is where citizens of High Heels interact with the outside world. Above that are 16 zones of three oversized stories each, containing a mixture of residential, clean industrial, commercial, and agricultural (typically hydroponic) uses. The 49th floor, officially the Governance Zone but colloquially simply the 49th Floor, hosts the Hall of the People and most government offices.

Image

Each citizen is assigned to one of the 16 standard zones at birth or naturalization and takes the surname of that zone. All citizens of a zone bear different registered given names. This could be as trivial as an alternate spelling, and the recent registration of double given names helps. Use-names and nicknames are not uncommon. Because there are so few zone names, it is normal to use given names even in formal situations. There might be many Miss Cubans around, but probably only one Kaisa.

The most popular team sport by far is football, where sixteen (semi-)professional clubs play at High Heels Stadium on the 13th floor. This 2,494-seat stadium also hosts all home matches for the national team on state-of-the-art artificial turf. Nearby fan hangouts include two of the best casual dining spots in all of Högklackat, Zoe's Grill and Gerhard's Lontorikanische Konditorei. They face each other mere steps from the main gate of the stadium.

Popular individual sports include the modern pentathlon (femkamp) and its constituent sports fencing, running, shooting, and swimming. (The fifth sport, riding, is less popular as serious training involves travel away from the tower.)

Armed Bears
(alias ‘The Bear-Belles’...)

For the information of those amongst you who are fairly new to NS Sports: Yes, this is a team — and nation — consisting primarily of anthropomorphic Bears.
For the information of those amongst you who have already been around NS Sports for a while: Yes, this nation does have the same player as Bears Armed… but IC, instead of this nation being a ‘puppet’ of that other country, they are actually ‘alternative reality’ counterparts of each other and didn’t even know of each other’s existence before this tournament.
The current year in Armed Bears converts into the Gregorian calendar as 2031AD, even though for footballers from Bears Armed (whose own international debut, BoF31, was in 2008AD…), it is now 2083AD or thereabouts instead!

This is another all-female team, for the same reason that Bears Armed’s team falls into that category: The main ball-game that's traditionally been played in their homeland so far is actually a form of Rugby, but [for several reasons] the professional league for that sport is all-male and so a few years ago (in 2006AD, actually) some of the female players decided that switching to Soccer instead -- and trying to establish a professional league for that -- might be a viable alternative.

The ages & lengths of experience given here were accurate for the first half of the WC62 qualifiers, so you'll need to add 2 years to each of those figures to obtain the correct va;ues for during this Cup of Harmony.

(This is her international debut.)

(#4) Harroya 'Silver' Gray _ Clan = Eastern Hills [Ally], home team = ‘Dynamo OstPort’, category = Defender/Midfielder, usual position = Lynchpin, Soccer experience = 22 years; age = 37, left-pawed, fur = light greyish-brown. She is a very accurate kicker, and therefore the usual first choice for taking free kicks & penalties; her nickname comes from her fur-colour, her very sweet nature, and (it must be admitted) the fact that she's a bit thick. (#11) Harroya ‘of the Rovers’ o Redwood _ Clan = Redwood, home team = Merlchester Rovers, category = Striker, preferred position = Right Forward, Soccer experience = 23 years; age = 38, left-pawed, fur = light brown; she will NOT break the rules (not even at the 'yellow card' level), managing to be an “attacking” player without being an “aggressive” one... Good at setting up goals for her team-mates, but only seems to score herself when the team really NEEDS that goal. (She has been with the Belles since the team’s international debut in WC58.)

(#22) Irrona LightChild _ Clan = Sun; home team = Harr Burran Heroines, category = Striker, usual position = Left Forward, experience = 8 years; age = 24, right-pawed, fur = blonde, very keen eyesight. (This is her international debut.)

[#13] Roh’hsarra EastWalker _ Harr’aynau _ Clan = Harr’aynau, home team = ‘Harr Harrh-eh Hurricanes’, category = Winger or Striker, usdual position = Right Winger, experience = 6 years; humanoid, age =22, ginger hair, right-footed. (This is her international debut.)

(#25) Jerranaya SunChild _ Clan = Sun, home team = 'Sun Valley Sunbeams' (which is a 'Junior League' side), category = Forward or Winger, usual position = Left Winger or Left Forward, experience = 5 years; age = 16, right-pawed, fur = golden-brown, has very good eyesight, big for her age and very fast, "a natural talent". (This is her international debut.)

Style = +3.5… “A good offence is the best defence”.
Their usual formation will include a front row of at least 5 (normally as 3 strikers & 2 wingers), plus either 3 midfield & 2 backs or 2 midfield & 3 backs, plus of course the goalkeeper.

Kits
Home = bright yellow, with the bear's-paw emblem (as on the national flag) in bright green on both front & back of the shirt.
Away = bright green, with the bear's-paw emblem (as on the national flag) in bright yellow on both front & back of the shirt.
Goalkeepers = shirt “quartered” (both front & back) in yellow & green, with bears-paw emblem in maroon. Shorts yellow on left & green on right, socks vice versa.
(Identifying numbers & players’ names will be in black if on yellow, or in white if on green: Armed Bears has traditionally used base-8 arithmetic, for several reasons, so the sequence used here will be _ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, etc...)

Home Ground

All of the team’s ‘home’ games during this Cup’s qualifying stages will be played in the Royal Arena at Urrath-am-Barrah, the nation’s capital city, which can seat approximately 60’000 people. Up to 10’000 places will be available for visitors.
The easiest means of access to this nation will be by means of an ancient (and probably magical) set of “Gates”, whose keepers can open them to locations in the other countries concerned if those other nations are willing to accept this: Otherwise, it will require a sea-voyage to one of our neighbours and then a quite lengthy journey overland by rail or road…

RP Permisions

Opponents may _

Choose my goalscorers: Y (but when I post the roster I'll suggest the most likely candidates for this)
Godmod Scoring Events: Y

RP injuries to my players / Godmod injuries to my players / Hand out Yellow cards to my players / Hand out Red cards to my players: Y to all, at least to start with, but remember what I've written here and keep it in limits accordingly... Any serious offences by my players would probably result in injuries to your players, and causing any serious injuries to my players would probably require such obviously-deliberate attacks that your players would get yellow or even red cards as a result too.

Godmod Other Events: Y, I suppose... but please remember that Ursines are fully sapient beings, as much as Humans are (well, almost so, anyway....), NOT instinct-driven animals. Oh, and of course female Ursines are NOT sexually interested in Humans (of either sex), and it's very unlikely that female Harr'ayanau would be either.

_____________________________________________________________________

Notes
Ursines may tend to be a bit less agile & slower to accelerate than humans on average, but this team's members were carefully selected so the gap between them & their opponents in this respect should be narrower than some people might expect. They do tend to have slightly poorer eyesight than humans, on the whole, so that long-distance passes & shots at goal will be rarer behaviour for them than they are for human teams... but their size & strength mean that when they're running with the ball it will probably take a very brave human -- as well as a very skilled one -- to tackle them successfully, which should balance that factor pretty well.
They're physically robust, of course, which means that they're less likely than humans to suffer injuries in falls or collisions but also that the form of Rugby in which most of them played before switching to Soccer was even more physical than the humans' versions of that game... and unfortunately some of them might forget the change of rules, in the excitement of the match, and use those tactics here...
Forgetting that they're playing Soccer now, rather than 'Ursine-Rules' Rugby, will actually be the most likely reason for any rule-breaking that they might commit, but they're generally bright enough not to make such a mistake more than once per match per player (and after one of them has been penalised for doing so in any particular way it's fairly unlikely that any others would repeat the exact same mistake...). The females of this species are mote even-tempered than the males, and the team's members will try to stay on their best behaviour not only in order to do well in this contest (which they probably need to do in order for their planned Soccer league to become a reality) but also to impress upon the watching humans that Ursines aren't just “dumb beast”. They will not 'dive', or feign injury in other ways, because suggesting that they could be harmed so easily goes strongly against the grain.

If the organisers permit then the team's members, including subsititutes, will do a [short] traditional war-dance (similar to the [RL] New Zealanders' 'haka'...), on the pitch, just before each match begins: This is called the 'Harrdiharr'... ;-)

(OOC: Accepted!)

West Angola's Roster has been shifted after several members were killed in a fire at the team hotel at the conclusion of World Cup Qualifying.

WEST ANGOLAN CUP OF HARMONY 54 ROSTER:

Head Coach: Phillip Garren- The original squad's keeper, Garren was injured in an auto accident the night after the first match of Baptism of Fire 45. He was unable to continue playing, but has remained as the team's head coach ever since the assassination of Peter Warren. Garren is often tapped for revenge by deposed King August II, and is often the target of his diabolical schemes.
Assistant Coach: Isaac Warren- A forward for the team since the beginning, Warren was kidnapped and poisoned during World Cup 61. He was nearly killed, and the chemicals ravaged his body beyond condition for football. Warren is now the team's assistant coach, and is the second of three members of the team targeted by August.

Starters:

Goalkeeper: Jacob Kerys- Kerys has been West Angola's keeper since its first World Cup. He benefits now from a strong defense that keeps most attacks from reaching him, but is viewed by many experts as the team's weakest link. If Kerys melts down again like he did against Birolika, Phoenigetuzstha, or Free South Califas, West Angola could be in deep trouble.
Defense: Michael Remonav- The four defenders are the core of West Angola's team. Trained to the highest level of physical and tactical ability by the best strategists and defenders in the country, West Angola's defense allowed only a handful of goals throughout qualifying (excepting a few meltdowns). They hope to bring that number down in the Cup of Harmony, praying their lowering of opponent's scores will help the attack to break through.
Defense: Pardor Jaxton
Defense: Ecker Thebin
Defense: Rory Unist
Middle: Dave McRory- The middles are a curious bunch. Long overlooked by West Angola's football faithful, and often eclipsed by starts such as Parrish, Warren, Kerys, and Larrsen, they have long flown beneath the radar. This simmering resentment caused one to turn on his team and his country, even working for the greatest enemy of the state West Angola has ever known, and Thomas Young's last words to the group may have caused a change of heart in a few of his friends...
Middle: Matthew Danjens
Middle: Joseph Williams
Middle: Stanley Woticwe

Forward: James McDaniels- The forwards, McDaniels and Larssen, are still attempting to find their place in Phillip Garren's new defensive scheme. Larssen made the case that the high-powered attacks of the teams known as West Angoala aren't completely done for, but both forwards must struggle to escape redundancy in a team that ever looks toward its rear half.
Forward: MIchael Larssen- The unexpected star of the Cup of Harmony, Larssen is hoping to build on his momentum and lead the team to a victory. The attack often rises and falls with Larssen, as he an McDaniels work very well in tandem. If Larssen can get a few goals and give McDaniels a few good scoring opportunities, West Angola will play very well. However, if Larssen and McDaniels are contained for even a little while, they will become frustrated and lose form, as they did against Birolika.

Backups:

Goalkeeper: David Reese- Ahh the backups. Backups are not well known in West Angola, as they get very little playing time. In West Angola, a starter is only supposed to leave the pitch if he is sent off, or has lost an essential limb (arms are considered inessential). This mentality has led to very little playing time for backups, which could provoke the sort of resentment that prompted Thomas Young to turn on his friends.
