Very nice

Bold colours, well shaped, can't see much wrong with it.

Did you sketch and then scan, and then photoshop or something? Or do it all digitally? Use a drawing tablet?

I draw in pencil, scan the drawings, and trace them in Adobe Illustrator.

The delivery room and speeding ticket ones are true stories. A buddy of mine actually took a copy of Hot VWs with him when his wife was in labor, and I was amazed when a County Sheriff clocked me doing 60 miles per hour in my 1959 single cab.

The idea for this was better than the execution, which requires a reader to already know that VW switched from the cloth sun roof to a metal sun roof in 1964, that cars with the cloth sun roof get called "ragtops," and so on and so forth.

Actually I would appreciate commentary on this one, as I often wonder if it isn't a bit too esoteric. I mean, I know why I might have difficulty with a stick shift RHD, but I can't shake the nagging feeling that most of you are not me...

Sounds like a check mark in the "not clear enough" category, or maybe just the "not funny" category. Both, perhaps. I figure I'd have trouble with a right hand drive stick shift because, like the guy in the drawing, I would have have difficulty reaching a gear shift on my left. It struck me as kind of funny when a friend of mine said that to me, though.

ETA: By the way, this is a true fact I discovered while driving a 1959 VW Single Cab with a top speed of about 60 mph. It's also the main reason I have begun camping out in the outside (right) lane and driving slower than the traffic around me, whatever I'm driving.
