I meant it more as a decathlon-like event, based on points with no equalisation before the biathlon.

::chuckles:: Sorry 'bout that -- it seemed natural with four events instead of five and the final event, biathlon, paralleling the combined shooting/running of the 21st century modern pentathlon. Thanks for the clarification. (And for reading!)

Just FYI, I'll be happy to add any missed athletes/teams into scorination when I get the chance.

I'm not sure I'd want you to do that in my case, especially when it took me so long to notice anyway - which is entirely my fault.

Given the luging monastic brothers would be among the favourites for their event, adding them into scorination ex post facto might retrospectively change results, with a potentially negative impact on other nations and their RPs.

Far better in this case to let me have my little whinge and then just have us all get on with it. Given the nature of time in the Dreamed Realm, I can just bring them back next time, after all.

True enough. Getting to the bottom of the problem, the reason for their omission was that I forgot to put their country code on their entry when putting it into the text file I populated the list from, causing them not to appear. I imagine that's what happened to the skeleton sledder from Qazox, too.

Why is the scorination backed up so much? Wasn't Saturday supposed to scorinated last night?

Yes. Yes it was. And for this reason, you can bet I will not be bidding for the Summer Olympics. I'm about to scorinate Sat; Sunday is now on Tuesday.

At this rate, the Winter Games won't end before the summer edition begins :P

Just kidding. Krytenia's done an admirable job handling a time-consuming and grueling tournament.

Not a problem with that Sledder, seeing as she was low rated anyway and wasn't going to contend for a medal anyway. Not to mention how she reacted is how i think many RL athletes would like to.

Yeah being in charge of such a big event like this is probably stressful, although I might do a gymnastics event after this is over.

Word of warning; if you're using xkoranate, gymnastics is a pig to sort out. Make sure you have a good hour or two free to scorinate the qualifying round.

Scorinators are based on randomness. You should know by now that the order of participants of results isn't necessarily the order of rank/RP bonus, and to blame it on a host error is incredibly unfair, especially considering that the host is doing a fantastic job, and I would say you don't RP particularly well anyway. Quantity isn't quality.

I was pretty sure it was the weakness of my RPing. I was just making sure Krytenia got the numbers right. I apologize for sounding rude.

The numbers were right; the RPs were added; it was sheer dumb luck. Chalk it up to experience.

Kry - I think I have 14 medals total: 4 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronzes. Not 4-6-3. Luyzhnik has a Bronze in Apline Skiing - Super-G, day 3. Buystrov has one in Speed Skating - 1 km, day 8. Chernuysheva/Grillova have one in Cross-Country Skiing - Women's Team Spring, day 12. Shustrov has one in Speed Skating - Men's 5km, same day.

If you're going to count my medals wrong, remember, you have to do Gold Medals, not Silver or Bronze Medals, and you have to add, not subtract :P

I appear to be missing one silver medal in the final count, though I could be wrong. Here is my tally: http://nswiki.net/index.php?title=Kelss ... r_Olympics

Krytenia, I want to personally thank you for all you did for these Olympic games. I completely understand the amount of stress you were probably under as I had a mental break down the other night because of a silent auction I was heading, and that is way less of a commitment than what you did.

Thank you all for your kind messages of congratulations. It's been a mad three weeks, and there were moments where I really did wonder why I was doing it, but reading the funny, dramatic, and occasionally downright insane RPs from all of you was enough to remind me.

So, to all of you, I say thank you for making it all worthwhile.

Feel free to leave donations in the tip jar; this will go towards hair dye for all the greys you've given me :p
