A SHAKEN, WEAKENED GIANT
Leonardo Bianchi knew that the Aphrilian National Team wasn't in the best condition entering this edition of the Independent Associations Championship.

Despite being 6th in the KPB+ rankings and 3rd in the IAC rankings, The Anchors weren't at full strength for a variety of reasons. After the loss to Snestar in the Round of 16 of World Cup 101, the team needed to completely refresh themselves. Bianchi, with the assistance of his assistant Joseph Alan and the for-now wheelchair bound Amelia Haze made some changes to the team. Victor Andreas-Torres was the new planned addition to the team, and Aphrilia tested out some ideas in a series of friendlies.

First was the Independent Association Series, a set of friendly tournaments spearheaded by HUElavia in preparation for the upcoming IAC. The Anchors were put in perhaps the most brutal tournament with HUElavia, Calgasia, and IAS Host Recuecn. Aphrilia lost against the former first, then the latter in the 3rd Place Match.

Then the worst possible thing that could have happened, ended up happening. Haze retiring was bad enough, but then another player will likely have to as well.

During a practice session with Lower Hearths, a few matches before the end of the Premiership, Phillip Karnwell injured himself. Severely. No one knew specifically what occurred, but based on rumors, he had banged his head hard on the goalpost whilst trying to make a save. The situation was so grim, to the point that Ines Forrestal requested that she be taken off the team temporarily. Of course, Bianchi obliged. It made sense as Forrestal wouldn't be 100% fit and that she wanted to be with her husband.

So with Karnwell out, the team needed another keeper to call up for the remaining planned friendlies and for the duration of the IAC. It was Haze who suggested a player who had been on her radar, one certain Erick Keikain. He's the current number two for FC Vynemill Row, having finished 11th in the Championship. But he showed a load of promise.

So he was called up, and played in two of the four planned friendlies. It was an opportunity for The Anchors to gauge their options, and it also served as a test to see what Keikain had to offer in place of Karnwell. Aphrilia's now starting goalkeeper, Kyra Von Kachel, played in the friendlies against Crpostran and Delaclava. Keikain meanwhile, played in the friendlies against Choppyhausen and Kanzlia. It was absurd that a recently called up twenty year old would play against the back-to-back champion of Esportiva, but he quickly proved his worth against one of the best teams out there. That performance was, in Bianchi's eyes, hopefully enough to justify the call-up.

So now, The Anchors find themselves practicing for the upcoming IAC being hosted by Edsmontik and Crpostran. He's happy that his home country is getting such an opportunity, but Bianchi's also worried for the team that he managed, what with the news that everyone had received. First was that Forrestal would be available for the IAC, which was great because she is a key player for the offense. Her absence left a lot to be desired when it came to true firepower up front. But it accompanied bad news as well.

Karnwell would have to retire from football for good. His injury was so severe, doctors stated that it would be an active risk of death if he chooses to continue playing football.

Keikan was now a permanent call-up rather than temporary. And though it is no fault of the boy himself, the mood in the training ground was certainly different. The Anchors at first were entering the tournament hoping to improve upon their loss to Chromatika in the Round of 16 during the last edition. But now? It wasn't just about continuing to prove themselves as a big name within the Independents. No, it was more than that. This would be for the sake of a friend, a brother, an idol, and a husband.

Bianchi looks from the sidelines, members of the team training themselves. Some players were resting and drinking, Forrestal included. A quick glance and he could see the bags under her eyes, likely still yet to recover from losing so much sleep in worry that she would lose the love of her life. Looking to one side of the field, he sees Keikain practicing some shot-stopping with the help of Kevin Lacey and Edward Elliot. Though he was very new to the team alongside Torres and Silvie Grace-Holtzer, they knew to do their best as well.

He notices someone come up next to him. Looking at his left, it was Haze, still wheelchair bound. "No one on the team is alright. Not after that news." She spoke. Bianchi agreed with the assessment, some hiding it better than others. "Don't worry, hopefully the talk I gave the team keeps them all afloat." He responded.

After everyone had caught of the news of what happened to Karnwell, Bianchi had gathered everyone for a team talk. This was a problem that affected the whole team, the entire family one could say. It was only right. Because with Karnwell off the team, The Anchors are left even more weakened after Haze had to stop playing as well. Sure, Holtzer showed potential and Keikain has proven to be capable of being the number two, but this team was in emotional turmoil. Talent and ability can't counter that.

Not only that, there was something else that was breeding under all of this tension and turmoil. Something that he couldn't really place. Torres was one of the new call-ups, yes, but there's something about him that has Bianchi worried. It is a difficult sense to describe, and it does feel similar to the sort of feeling Bianchi had when it was revealed to him what "being" Theresa Villa truly was. He's hoping it doesn't cause any problems, because more of that is the last thing that this now fractured team needs.

But in any case, if push comes to shove and more problems arise as they start their IAC campaign, the Crpostranian is determined to solve each and every one of it.

Swovacjaaspeal Aamathyrit
National Football Team of Aamathyr

The demonym for people from Aamathyr is Thyr, with plural Thyrom. Thyrom are generally referred to by their first name, with last name [not patronym] used to distinguish the two. The literal translation of Cjariila dwa Mioryt Ispymfare, for example, is Cjarilla, daughter of Mioryt, from the town of Ispymfa. Here is a great example from Katzeburg of what to do. Here is an example of what not to do.
In terms of pronunciation, gj and cj are like Hungarian gy and ty, respectively, while nj is like the Spanish ñ, and rr and r are distinguished from one another as they are in Spanish. If a vowel is repeated it means it's long (e.g. the oo in Rravoonre is as the ó in Hungarian, not as the oo in English), while if a consonant is repeated it is in two separate syllables - the rest is as English.

There isn't really a nickname for the team - they are generally referred to as the Swovacjaaspeal, lit. 'team [of] football'.
The manager of the Swovacjaaspeal is Cjariila dwa Mioryt Ispymfare.
The trigram used by Aamathyr is THY.
The current year in Aamathyr is 1977. OOCly, time passes when I write things that cause the passage of time, so people spend several weeks playing football somewhere else and maybe a couple days passed.
The Thyrom play in blue with white trim, or in white with green and blue trim (two layers of stripes on the edges rather than one). Their third kit is green with white trim, but they rarely if ever play in that. The keeper plays in red, or in yellow if there's a clash.
Thyr culture traditionally has three genders. More on that later. Those who are neither traditionally male or female are marked with an X.
The Thyrom generally play defensively, preferring to lose 1-0 rather than 4-3. The style modifier is -4.5.
The formation utilized by Aamathyr is a 5-3-2. Assume that the earlier a name is listed under its category, the more likely it is to start.
Typical starting XI: Satrin / Tithrilan, Arjor, Thontyen, Tyrrprun, Swamtiip / Sutwa, Lifiva, Pytzhish / Shovot, Rumat

Players in blue play domestic football abroad. Players not in blue don't.

Goalkeepers
Satrin dwa Tyzhma Lerregjore - 36 - X
Vwavol dwa Puurvyon Sapshrure - 23 - F

What Satrin lacks in agility and speed compared to Vwavol they more than make up for in experience and skill. They aren't going to save a well-placed shot, but as long as you don't put it in the top corner, you'll find it hard to score. The one issue is that they are often left out to dry by their defenders, who do everything they can to prevent a shot from getting off but once one is going to happen basically give up. Vwavol has been just a bit too inconsistent in Tikariot to earn the starting spot, and besides, international experience during qualifying has quite helped Satrin.

Defenders
Arjor dwa Sitvamp Nwatwishre - 31 - M
Tyrrprun dwa Shjantra Cjshengjotre - 35 - M
Thontyen dwa Nadziid Aammirture - 32 - X
Tithrilan dwa Smodcja Rravoonre - 29 - F
Swamtiip dwa Pytzhish Luumintre - 26 - X
Lovon dwa Ustwyf Ncjonsasre - 23 - X
Omiusma dwa Rifirr Nanwacjre - 30 - X
Divrrjo dwa Shulla Nanwacjre - 21 - M
Sindam dwa Ponietem Nwatwishre - 28 - F
Vyduat dwa Fimushthe Luumintre - 26 - M
Enwar dwa Ooshlov Sjordatre - 20 - X

Arjor, Tyrrprun, and Thontyen have made up the central three of the Thyr defense for years, and thus their communication is the best this team has to offer, while Tithrilan and Swamtiip are newer additions on the left and right respectively. Arjor certainly has the most skill of any Thyr defender, but his aggression does lead to him getting carded relatively often. Swamtiip is seen as a potential future captain, but that's a long way away. Enwar and Divrrjo got their first call-ups for the BoF, they've both seen play off the bench, and Divrrjo especially is seen as a potential future starter - indeed, he's now in Bohr for domestic football. Of the substitutes, Lovon and Divrrjo are generally more of a wing-back type, with the speed of a young player, and the rest tend to be more stolidly defensive. Defense often sees a lot of substitutions, with the wing-backs quite often tired out from running up and down the pitch - Tithrilan was this team's third-top scorer last cycle while also needing to be a left back at times - and the centrebacks all quite old.

Midfielders
Lifiva dwa Otyva Aammirture - 21 - F
Sutwa dwa Pardshyl Thivire - 28 - M
Nyturr dwa Shyzhytmir Nanwacjre - 24 - M
Pytzhish dwa Vishysh Fjanjapre - 27 - X
Njammoos dwa Zhurrvyl Mwenttshatre - 30 - X
Fysuzu dwa Platvon Lerregjore - 22 - F

Is Lifiva the next big thing in Thyr football? Probably not, but she was certainly good enough to maintain her spot on the team after the IAC, got plenty of goals during qualifying, and now she's heading off to the Squornshelan Remnant States to play football. Sutwa and Pytzhish are both good defensive midfielders, but on a team where there's already five defenders, Cjarilla is trying to be more successful in the counterattack, and has brought in the more traditional central midfielder Nyturr. Fysuzu has been brought in to provide some more youth to a midfield that's already relatively youthful, although she seems like more of an impact sub based on her position in the depth chart.

Forwards
Shovot dwa Syyrrno Aamtulire (captain) - 36 - M
Rumat dwa Alyte Olaatire - 27 - M
Piulshu dwa Lumodgja Usthiare - 22 - F
Zhefeth dwa Padiar Sunthyrire - 28 - X

Shovot, the offensive anchor of this team, with an accent nearly as strong as that of Njammoos (and you know what those Tarrlon accents are like) acts as a finisher - if he gets the ball in the box, he's likely to score, but that's far easier said than done. Creating chances, after all, was the biggest problem for this side at the IAC last time they were here. He performed excellently during qualification, although pace was a bit of an issue. Rumat is usually the one who feeds him the ball, the man from Olaati known for outspeeding defenders up the right side of the pitch, and the ball-feeding seemed to work quite well, but getting the ball to Rumat wasn't always the easiest. Shovot takes penalties if he's able.

RP Permissions: Do whatever you think is within the realm of being a decent person. Aamathyr hardly if ever will be used to RP about football.

THE INDEPENDENTS CUP BECKONS US
The Sernefoot Team

The Sernefoot Team are seated at the Round Table in the studio in Sernetesen

Salman: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, to the I. A. C.!
round of applause
Yes I know I may have put a bit too much emphasis on the letters, but it's only fair that I do because I am so excited to see Sernet cook up a storm this time round!

Bobby: Same here Salman, the Steamers certainly have failed to disappoint us in terms of their performance at the World Cup, qualifying for world cup finals football on the second attempt is quite a feat, especially considering that this is the most prestigious football tournament in the whole multiverse.

Damian: As you most likely already know, Sernet have played many friendly matches since the World Cup ended, which I'm sure helped the boys prepare for this tournament. We'll discuss more about that later.

Czesław: Now onto our Group for the IAC, we've been drawn into Group D alongside allies Natkr who we recently faced in the Sernet Friendly Series.

Bobby: As well as that, we've also got two unranked teams, Imoto and Delphinon.

Salman: So guys, what are your thoughts?

Grzegorz: All in all, it's a pretty interesting group.

Tadeusz: Natkr seem to be our biggest threat in the group, but of course we can't underestimate the underdogs, you never know what they've got up their sleeves.

Damian: We, Sernet, we were in those shoes once. Sure we might have been an established footballing nation for over a century but we were newcomers on this multiversal stage.

Peter: Facts. Never diss the underdogs. The thing is though, and I might sound a tad bit hypocritical here, being Sernet, we are pretty likely to beat them.

Salman: No no I get what you're saying. This genuinely looks like a group we can top. Natkr most likely won't be a walk in the park, and I don't think the two unranked teams are going to give us a day of either. But say we do beat Natkr as well as Delphinon and Imoto?

Czesław: We have beaten bigger teams before. Flavovespia for example.

Damian: Say we draw against Natkr, but we still take first place thanks to goal difference for example?

Bobby: Let's look at it from another angle; currently we're literally viewing this as a Sernet vs Natkr thing, like just that one match will determine who's first and who's second. Natkr could drop points against Delphinon or Imoto, just like we potentially could as well.

Tadeusz: Either way, I'd say this is a group that we can get through.

Czesław: That's fair, we've had harder groups in the past, and I'm talking all competitions.

Peter: As for the hosts, Crpostran and Edsmontik. I think this is going to be quite a good Independents Cup. This is by far the largest IAC, with a whopping 64 nations participating.

Damian: Oh damn Edsmontik rings a bell; the first time we faced them we lost 5-0, which was quite a sad result.

Salman: Yeah that wasn't a good day for the Steamers.

Grzegorz: Just to get the order in check, firstly we play Delphinon, followed by Natkr and then Imoto for the last match of the Group Stage, and hopefully not the last match of Sernet's IAC 26 campaign...

Bobby: Just to reiterate, I genuinely feel we will be topping this group.

Salman: I suppose only time can tell.

Peter: Hot take, Sernet will win the IAC.

Czesław: Sometime in the future we will have that trophy in our cabinet.

Tadeusz: Yes indeed we shall.

Salman: Hopefully, and I suppose you never know, we could pull off some miracle run. Genuinely though it's not impossible, we are in it to win it, it's just more unlikely than likely. Anyways, moving on, let's discuss some of the Friendly matches that Sernet have played between the World Cup and now.

Damian: Firstly, we played in the Independent Association Series organised by HUElavia, although technically hosted by us. The 16 participants were divided up into 4 series of 4, with the 4 host nations being Sernet, Snestar, Recuecn and Crpostran. Our series featured Lionsroar, Aamathyr, Solgavden and of course us.

Grzegorz: We faced Aamathyr in the semi-final, who we beat 1-0 after a clinical goal from Wasori Oluwawa sent them to the third place playoff, while Solgavden beat Lionsroar to meet us in the final, held in Sernetesen Lighthouse Stadium.

Peter: A tense 3-3 draw with goals from Sporius Bolsting, Samir Dottman and Kilegram Dassaro ended in a penalty shootout, where Bolsting, Komstrowski, Oluwawa, Jatrowski and Esingfort all scored their penalties. Pasarowski had also conceded 4 shots, but on the last one he made a monumental save to crown Sernet champions.

Salman: Following our sweet win in the IA Series, we moved on to the main event, the Sernet Friendly Series.

Czesław: The Sernet Friendly Series featured a list of nations who would face off in friendlies against both Sernet and Smoltrendestof, hosted across a couple cities in Sernet. Sernet started off strong with an opening 3-1 victory against Lankeshmati, who are also participating in the IAC, similarly to many of the other nations in the friendly series. Next up came another 2-0 win against Urbania, followed by a 1-1 draw against Armatonisdaristan.

Tadeusz: Sernet then went on to conquer the United Marble Tribes 3-1, and both the Golden Harp and Maritaine 2-0.

Bobby: The Steamers ploughed on, defeating Rovenza 4-1 and drawing against groupmates Natkr 1-1. However, Sernet's long unbeaten run finally came to an end against Kuromistan, where they defeated us 1-0.

Salman: The last two matches of the Sernet Friendly Series were the head to head Sernet vs Smoltrendestof match, and an additional match away against Rovenza upon request. The game against Smoltrendestof was the first in the brand new stadium over in Lofnostem, and it ended in a 3-1 win for the Steamers. The Sernet Friendly Series came to a close with a 2-2 draw over on Rovenzan turf.

Damian: After the Sernet Friendly Series, Sernet faced a few more local opponents in some sporadic friendlies, with the most notable one against Kingdom of the Light States which was held in Stensemertef ended in a 5-2 win for Sernet, as well as a 3-0 win against the Corvinian Socialist Republic.

Peter: Next up, Sernet faced off in a two-legged match against Serdtgyu, who are also participating in this tournament, like a lot of the aforementioned nations. We defeated them 1-0 in Sernetesen but then lost 1-0 away.

Tadeusz: Finally, Sernet faced Jaliserra in Sernetesen as part of a friendly series of their own, where Sernet reigned victorious by beating them 4-0.

Salman: Overall, Sernet performed very well in all of these friendlies, giving us all hope for the IAC.

Czesław: Genuinely the Steamers never let us down. Even when they lose, they lose with dignity.

Peter: True true. Well guys, that's it for tonight, catch you at the match.

Salman: Cheerio.

Pre-match analysis: MD1 vs Delphinon

P.s. We're keeping the lineup the same.

Here we are. We're ready. The Steamers are just flying in as I speak. Once they land, they'll head off to the hotel and relax, and then tomorrow the pre-match training begins. As we already outlined at the Round Table, these guys might be unranked but that doesn't mean that we should treat them as if they're incapable of kicking a ball. Stoberus Pond keeps on hammering these values... passion, stamina, adaptability, humility, respect, compassion, and so and so. Respect is a good one here. I know the boys are respectful of our opponents on and off the pitch, and that they respect different nations, their cultures and people and the players, staff and supporters of the nation, as well as the referee. But, everyone makes mistakes, and occasionally people make stupid and impulsive mistakes. We don't want no red cards. The lads need to remember to keep cool. We haven't gotten many red cards, especially not in WCC-sanctioned tournaments, although we did get one in our last match of World Cup 101 against Qusmo. And of course, this element of respect extends to the Steamers themselves. Teamwork makes the dream work after all. The moment the Steamers start bickering, game is probably gone. Fortunately that's not an issue for us, but it's always worth bringing to the table. Another good one is adaptability; we don't really know these guys and their playing style. Sernet is quite adaptable with the 5-man midfield, so we must use that strength to our advantage and dictate the rhythm of the match. Another one, stamina. Keep pressing, stay strong, don't give up. Ah, I've been rambling about all these values, but there's one last thing that I need to mention. They need to enjoy it. Score goals, kick arse without getting sent off, and have fun. I know they love it, serving the country down on the pitch. The Steamers are great countrymen. All the guys on that squad, not a single one isn't worthy of that flag on their shirt. Bloody love them. That's probably it, have a good night wherever in the Sernetian Empire you are, and enjoy the upcoming matches, where our lads will make us beam. The Independents Cup is beckoning... Come on Sernet!

THE VOETBALL ISSUE: SOUTH AMERICANASTAN'S NEW NATIONAL TEAM

GAFFER'S CORNER: CHALKBOARD ANALYSIS ON THE SOUTH AMERICANASTAN NATIONAL VOETBALL TEAM
Tom Peterson

It's voetball season, folks! Christmas has certainly come early for us voetball
------------------------------------HOLT-------------------------------------

fans, as now not only will South Americanastan's professional-only
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The Voetball League" be kicking off come september, but the Bushrangers
---------------PARSONS-----CANTERBROOK-----DUBOIS----------------

will compete in international play for the first time since World Cup 94!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The starting lineup comprises some of the greatest stars of our future top flight,
--MUTOMBO---------------------------------------------------LOMBARD--

managed by one of the founding fathers of South Americanastanian football in
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nigel Smuts. Smuts, having left his previous managing gig at Meatpacking V.K.
---------------RENARD---------EDMONDS--------DE VYL-----------------

to manage the national team, is known for a distinctly Americanastanian style of play,
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

focusing on counter-attacking and a stout defense, with an extremely direct approach
-------------------CRUYFF--------------------STARBUCK------------------

based on statistics that no attacking effort should consist of more than 4 passes. He snubs the contemporary
4-4-2 for a very defensive-looking 5-3-2 (pictured right), though such a formation, in his case, will often turn

------------------------------------HOLT-------------------------------------
into something resembling a 3-5-2 or even 3-4-3 (pictured left) in
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the attacking phase. Some pundits have even gone as far as to call Smuts'
---------------PARSONS-----CANTERBROOK-----DUBOIS----------------
system a 3-5-2 entirely, but I disagree, as Mutombo and Lombard exclusively stay
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
behind the ball and only venture towards the level of Renard and De Vyl when
---------------------RENARD-----------------DE VYL-----------------------
the ball is in the box. All in all, this system makes them very strong in the
--MUTOMBO---------------------------------------------------LOMBARD--
center and against teams who like to advance the ball through the middle, but
---------------------------------EDMONDS----------------------------------
relies on Lombard and Mutombo to not be beat on the wings, thus forcing them
-------------------CRUYFF--------------------STARBUCK------------------
to play fairly cautiously in the attack.

On the defensive end, Mutumbo, Parsons, Canterbrook, Dubois, and Lombard form a back 5. The Bushrangers rely on this quintet of big, strong defenders to win headers and muscle opponents off the ball. In true Americanastanian fashion, they can be counted on to play very rough defense, and no one on this team is any stranger to a yellow card, though they are disciplined enough that sending-offs are rare. The Bushrangers will usually play with a mid block, trusting the back 5 to stop any runs towards goal. The midfielders, De Vyl, Edmonds, and Renard, are highly versatile, but will often focus on taking away the center of the pitch, especially against teams with only 2 center midfielders. Against teams that prefer to play the possession game, they are likely to be the biggest pests. Up high, Cruyff and Starbuck will press often, attempting to prevent teams from passing it about the back. Though unlikely to win the ball themselves, they aim to force the opposing attack to engage the rest of the defense, which can be entrusted to win the ball and start counter-attacks.

As for the build-up phases, they are short, and rarely consist of more than a few passes. The Americanastanians prefer the aforementioned direct game, looking to catch defenses on their heels during a counter-attack. Cruyff is the target man and traditional no. 10, and as such most long balls will go to him or one of the midfielders. Long balls are most likely to come from either the keeper or one of the defenders. On occasions where the long ball is either unavailable or does not create a run on goal, they will either try to advance it through the center or pass back to attempt again. The former is where you are mostly likely to see the aforementioned 3-4-3.

The Bushrangers will most often reach the attacking third as the result of a long ball, in which case the target man (usually Cruyff) will usually attempt to move the ball forward to Starbuck for a scoring chance. Likely target men other than Cruyff are Edmonds and Starbuck, who will then try to move the ball to one of the other two. Play between the strikers, midfielders, and occasionally Lombard and Mutombo is not uncommon, but the Bushrangers still prefer to put the ball on goal sooner rather than later. On corners and crosses, Cruyff is the most likely target, as the 6'5" striker is considered the best option to head the ball home.

This team is a pretty good microcosm of South Americanastanian voetball. If not playing on terrible pitches, and in miserable weather, they certainly encapsulate the tactics played by the large majority of high-level Americastanian voetball clubs, and their performance in the coming years will certainly prove whether or not we're up to snuff tactically. Smuts is probably one of the most tactically competent managers our country has to offer, and I certainly wish them luck in the IAC.

Brand New Day

It’s A Brand New Day

produced by ReemSports

Welcome back to ReemSports. It’s been a while, but we’re glad to have you back on your network. If you’ve been following the Natkr national team or just Natkrian football in general over the last two years, you’d know things have definitely been rough for the country. A new coach after Kyes Weah’s departure, Sigmund Reynolds, was brought in to hopefully help the nation succeed again, after disappointing but promising results. But he really didn’t do anything but make the problem worse. Fortunately, now us Natkr fans can be happy again, because the dumpster fire has been finally put out, and something better is coming out of the ashes. After the Cup of Harmony disaster, which resulted in Natkr getting grouped for the first time ever, the Natkrian Football Federation had enough, and handed Sigmund Reynolds a goodbye letter, and a first-class ticket back to his country. The only thing that could help Natkr was a full rebuild of the squad, and they needed it greatly.

The breaking point for the federation was during the World Cup 101 qualification phase, in which Natkr managed to perform horribly like always, and embarrassed themselves. They showed that they sucked truly. Even though they scraped into the top 4 for playoffs after putting it some effort at the end of the campaign, Natkr lacked football knowledge and intelligence to even qualify for the playoffs, bottling a chance to win in two legs against WC qualification rookies, Pomachetti. If you thought that was bad, you sure wasn’t expecting what were happen next. The national team, after slacking off with partying and vacation, got grouped for the Cup of Harmony, in a tournament they were expected to be a contender. What a disappointing squad.

It was so humiliating and disappointing. It was so bad that the actual president of Natkr, Richard Graet and the federation had to temporarily shut down the national team for a few months. Deciding and realizing for about two months, the Natkrian Football Federation announced a new national team project which would instantly change the future of football in Natkr as whole. The recurring players, like Jonty Hatfield or David Lopez, would either be let go from the national team, or put on the bench. Instead, the federation has now shifted their focus by scouting domestic players from the Natkr Prime League, and developing young talent for the national level as early as U15. Scouts have been sent to look at every club around Natkr in the Prime League, setting a message for players that if you give it all, week in and week out, you can make it for the national team.

To lead the national team into this Brand New era, the NFF has appointed the best option of many managers interviewed, and the most historic one too. Becoming the new head coach is no other than former CSKA City manager, Isla Monbury, making history to become the first-ever female coach of the Natkr national team. Monbury isn’t some gimmick to be inclusive to women, or simply to be a joke. She is one of the greatest tactical minds in the game right now. Her arrival has began to make a giant impact on Natkrian football, creating excitement and leadership around the national team which will be crucial to success.

✶Stadium and National Information✶

National Information
The Karmic Republic of Edsmontik is located on the very Northeastern tip of Karma, bordering the East Karman Ocean. It is home to approximately 200 million people, which mostly live in the densely populated cities of Touve, Woodhill, Yaneu, and more. The Edsmon population is diverse, full of people from every corner of Karma and other regions around the multiverse. People commonly come to the nation to witness the ice-cold winters in Skejiver and Northeviige-Tretovikenhanz, the beautiful beaches of the coastal cities, and the massive sports events that range from stock car racing to football/soccer and handball.

Being so far north, the summers are mild temperatures, barely going past 60 degrees Fahrenheit in the warmest areas. Winters can be freezing, especially up in Skejiver and N.T., with temperatures dropping as low as -7 degrees Fahrenheit. Sports have had a long history in the nation, beginning as far back as the early 1700s when Vdes, Lunsfjall, and Taya-Trosi were planning to unify. Sports boomed during this time, with people looking for ways to entertain themselves. And eventually, when Edsmontik was formed, the nations combined their sports into leagues and competitions.

Map of Edsmontik: How to Get There
Getting to Edsmontik is pretty easy. There are many airlines that offer flights to Kalse, Woodhill, Touve, and other major cities. The most notable of those airlines are Far Eastern Airlines (Mainly referred to as just FEA), which mainly serves ultra-long haul routes, Edsmon Air, which serves a mix of long and short haul, and Clevr, which serves domestic, with a few flights to places a little outside Edsmon borders.

Since Edsmontik will only use one stadium for qualifiers (Located in Touve), it is recommended to an FEA flight to the following hubs: Kalse Bay International, Woodhill International, or Austranviige International and take a Clevr flight to Touve or take the Touvic rail to the Suberarenae if coming into Austranviige, OR take an Edsmon Air flight direct. It is to note that a direct Edsmon Air flight into Touve will be much more costly as Touve International is not a very large airport, and is almost completely surrounded by city. Unless you are coming in from Karma, please do not take an FEA direct to Touve. Those are even more expensive tickets than Edsmon Air.

Below is a map of Edsmontik, which you may use to view major Edsmon cities. Additionally, view the Touvic Rail Systemfor transit across Touve and Austranviige. (Please note it is a little outdated)

The Touve Suberarenae Stadium

A lot of people wonder why the Touve Suberarenae is plural. Well, in Vdesic, making something plural can also be an emphasis. Because the Touve Suberarenae seats 100,870 people, making it Edsmontik's largest stadium, the name was made plural to emphasize that. Even before it was renovated, when it had 25,000 seats, it was still named the Suberarenae because it was simply Edsmontik's largest stadium. The Suberarenae's renovation just a few years ago gives the stadium a new sleek design that is sure to catch the eyes of many who pass by it on the way to Touve.

Archalit National Football Team

Team Synopsis: Yaaargh, 'tis true. The team spent so much of the budget on staying afloat after the Kovatsk Cup bronze medal that they no longer have the money to market their roster in full. Alas, the roster y'see below is all the remaining team after the years.

Before the Kovatsk Cup, the team wasn't in the best shape. A 0-1-2 record at the Olympic Games was followed by a 2-7-7 record off of what is often regarded today as the worst football team ever fielded by the Archalitian delegation. The Kovatsk Cup acted as the team's shot at performing well in an off-season tournament, and while the team didn't quite reach their goals of making the finals, they will settle with a bronze medal after seasons of failure despite the lower level of competition in the field.

So, the team is in rebuild mode. A young set of substitutes stands behind an aging crowd of starters. Madeleine Olson, the team captain, stands as the team's only true starpower, being the best striker and player in Archalit by far. The rest of the roster is a mixed bag. Tyler Aboya is a solid goalkeeper and certainly played an important role in the team's Kovatsk Cup performance. Ethan San, while failing to participate in that tournament, is the longest-standing player on the team by a lot and even participated in the team's Baptism of Fire (wherein they placed 2nd in an otherwise crowded field).

The team has a history with the aggressive 3-4-3 diamond and intends to continue with it. As a result of this, team practices are dedicated to perfecting the fitness and synergy required to maintain the pace that the system demands.

The Crpostranian Football Association
presents
The Sapphire Strikers
for
the 26th IAC - Edsmontik & Crpostran

And at last, a major international tournament is occurring in Crpostran. Years of preparation by the CFA, through stadium renovations, building new stadiums, increasing scouting and academies, producing the world's finest football managers, and whatnot are finally being put to use. Welcome to Karma! Both the CFA and EFA submitted a joint bid (with the majority of the matches taking place in Edsmontik, in a 2:1 ratio, as most Crpostranian stadiums are either being renovated or being constructed). Many changes have occurred for the squad, including a formal change of captaincy from Sevastian Fionnbarra to Klahan Wahid. Wahid was made the temporary captain mid-way into the WCQ101, when Fionnbarra suffered an injury and had to rest for a few weeks. Manager Bakočević felt that the team responded and played better under Wahid's captaincy, with an unbeaten streak during his reign in the remainder of the Qualifers serving as evidence of that belief, eventually earning the Szbedansk winger the captaincy. With the retirement of goalkeeper Lourens Rino from international football, and the sidelining of military players like Tobiasi Neumann & Lukas Brennov, further call-ups were brought to domestic youth players. With both Rino & Brennov gone, the Number.1 shirt goes to Valéry Eric, who has had an impressive campaign with Vanorian club Hondo F.C, earning the Golden Glove on his debut in Valanora. Things, however, are not going too well for Manager Ivan Bakočević. Despite being the only Crpostranian to win major multiversal level trophies (IFCF Champions League, IFCF Super Cup, Chromatik Red League x2), that too in recent times, his luck seems to be running out with the CFA board. What began as a fairytale run for him, taking charge of the NT to get it to runner-up status of both WC98 & IAC23, his woes with the CFA board began once the team failed to qualify for the next immediate World Cup, WC99, where the team narrowly missed out on qualification to the Martian Independent Republic on the final matchday, a devastating result for a team that went so far into the WC, just one cycle back. He was given the temporary sack due to the conflict with Cothe Saria, which barred teams from heading abroad due to security risks. He was called back for WCQ100, and went onto take the military squad into the WC, only to go 0-0-3 in it. Similar results in the most recent WC, with the team failing to make the knock-outs, has heavily put pressure on Ivan. Could this be the final blow for Ivan Bakočević, with the pressure of a home tournament (whenever possible, due to fixtures) proving too much? Or will he script a golden campaign and restore Crpostran's place among the top 5?

INDUSSEAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
Men’s National Football Team

The Nation

The Democratic States of Indusse, often simply called Indusse, is a large nation with over 160 million citizens and is a democracy known for its diverse culture, traditions and people. The nation, which is huge in size, is divided into fourteen provinces which have their own provincial governments and the nation as a whole has a central government for its administration. Indusse has recognized over 20 languages as its official language, but the majority of its people speak English, Malayalam and Hindi respectively. Sanatana Dharma and Catholicism are two religions that are widely practiced all over the country.

New Hind City is the capital of Indusse and remains the most populated city too. Other major cities include Riveria, Neagra City, Sindhunagar, Sao Bartholomew which all are centers of trade, entertainment and culture. Efficient rail and road networks connect the cities inland, and high-speed rail has become a popular way to move across the country. The country spans multiple climates and terrains, with coastal cities to the south, rainforests and temperate forests inland, arid deserts toward the centre, and mountainous regions scattered across the country.

Indusse is officially a democracy, having transitioned from a historic monarchy into a colonial state and then to a modern republic through a lot of struggles and reforms. While the monarchy no longer holds political power, its legacy lives on in many regional customs and traditions. Today, the government operates through a parliamentary system, with the President Baskar H Kumar leading the country.

Pierre CAMANIN
Role:
Manager | Age: 56 | Nationality: Image Auprussia

Pierre Camanin is an Auprussian Manager who signed for the Indussean National Team after the 20th edition of Independent Associations Championship. Pierre Camanin started his career as a Regionallige manager and took on the Auprussian National Team on a whim. His ultra-aggressive style completely changed his fortunes in management. He loves ultra-attacking football and demands most positions be proficient in the attack as a result. He managed the Auprussian National Team for 3 years with 5 years of lower level management and managed to get Auprussia to its first proper World Cup appearance. Camanin has also decided to change Indusse into an all attacking squad where all the players are capable of scoring goals and creating chances. So far Camanin is a highly successful manager with a 100% qualification rate taking Indusse to the World Cup in consecutive two editions he has managed the team.

After a few seasons at Indusse, he went on to play for Kelssek club Langlois Océanic which played a major role in his skill advancement. The Playing XI

Image
Jahangir SHEHZAD
Position:
GK | Age:32 | Club: Image Damogran FC | Apps: 142

Born in the town of Shahzalabad located seventy kilometres north of Riveria, Shehzad continues to be the first preference keeper for Indusse. Joining the camp during the World Cup 94 Season, Shehzad proved himself to be a worthy successor to Steve Leghorn. Starting his career through school teams and college teams, it was his performance for the Mir Azmal College (MACPS) that got him into limelight and eventually got him signed by Sindvpore FC. From his debut in Liga Prime, he has been a constant contender for the Golden Gloves while playing for Sindvpore FC and later for Southbay Riveria FC. Even though he was present in the list for Golden Gloves, it never became his. After his stint at Southbay Riveria FC, he left to join the Squornsheleous side Sivolvia Capitalizt where he played for seven seasons of SCFA as their first choice keeper winning three championships. Shehzad was then transferred to another SCFA Club, Syneca AC as their first choice keeper. Shehzad has been a constant presence in the national team with his flexible and skilful performances. His calm composure also plays a major role in his focus and success in the game.

Image
Mathias PAULSON
Position:
CB | Age:42 | Club: Image Napoleon St. Bernadine | Apps: 416

Born in Riveria to a wealthy Catholic family, Paulson was not that kind of a kid who had football in him from a young age. Paulson started his career at the age of fifteen playing for local clubs and school teams. A Graduate in sports medicine from Saint Louis University in Jawaruyah (20 kms east of Riveria), he played for the university team and then played for a local club in there known as Jawaruyah XI. While in Jawaruyah, he even served as a Fitness Trainer in the university and club teams. He was then transferred to Rockies International FC who decided to convert him to a full time defender. He turned out to be a key player for the club eventually getting a call to the national camp. He was then sold to Southbay Riveria FC while he was the captain for RIFC, his performance for Southbay turned him into a well sought defender in the nation. After a few years playing for Southbay, he was transferred to Taxhavn side Napoleon St. Bernadine as a Free Agent. In his first season for Napoleon St. Bernadine, he played as a defender plus coaching staff and in the next season decided to retire from Domestic Football. Paulson now serves as the Assistant Coach for the Taxhavn club Napoleon St. Bernadine.
Image
Cyrus YAZDANI
Position:
LB | Age: 20 | Club: Image Southbay Riveria FC | Apps: 48

Yazdani was born in San Aurelio, a city in the Province of Neagra. Yazdani belongs to a family that practices Mazdayasna and was the first Parsi (those who follow Mazdayasna) to reach the National Team. Yazdani paved his way to this oppurtunity over the years starting at the age of 12 when he started playing for the school team and the Neagra Under 16 Squad. His performance was widely appreciated and at the age of fifteen he was signed by Neagra FC as a youth product. His performance for the Neagra FC Youth Team in their debut season was wonderful which made him to be signed by Southbay Riveria FC Youth within a year. While in Southbay Riveria FC Youth, he was able to showcase his talent, eventually turning himself into the captain of the youth team. His performance got him a call from the Indussean Under 18 World Cup camp and Cyrus was able to be a starter when Indusse reached the Round of Sixteen in the U18 World Cup's 23rd Edition. This performance by Cyrus got him promoted from Youth Team to the Southbay Riveria main team for which he plays now. Cyrus got a recent call up to the National Team starting with the centenary season and is pretty determined to keep his spot forward. Cyrus is pretty fast and focused compared to many of his colleagues, his tackles are precise and he is vigilant about not making unnecessary fouls.

Image
Akshay ADHAAN
Position:
CB | Age: 19 | Club: Image Capitolians | Apps: 41

Born in Sindhupura, Adhaan is another player who started his football journey pretty early than many. His parents, who were huge football fans, decided to send him for local training camps from the age of eight. With the training and skills from then, Adhaan has been able to build up his performance and play for school teams as well as local clubs in the city. At the age of fourteen, he joined the youth academy of Sindhupura Union FA which was a club that used to be pretty relevant in the national level years ago. His performance in Sindhupura Union FA (Y) got him a youth contract with Southbay Riveria FC at the age of sixteen. While playing for the Southbay Riveria Youths, he was confirmed to play for Indusse's Under 18 side for the 23rd Edition Squad. Playing for Indusse as a leftback, Cyrus was able to make brilliant play in the ground which made him a newsmaker for a while. While being back at Indusse, he was signed by the Ralsalin side Dasein. He was able to make some noise at Dasein but soon after he made a move to the Ktyler Peninsulae Club Capitolians. Adhaan is a player who has been able to showcase his tackling strength which sometimes turn out to be rash, but more practice and control would make him more flexible at his position.

Image
Dhananjay BHATTACHARYA
Position:
CM | Age: 21 | Club: Image Sindvpore FC | Apps: 55

Dhananjay was born in the town of Navapura in Sindvpore Province to a Sanatana priest family. Bhattacharya was the youngest of his three siblings, where all the three decided to pursue their interests in football at a young age. The three brothers joined a local club at the age of eleven, playing for their juniors team. But, Dhananjay was the only one who was able to keep up with the pressure and build up his skills. With improving his performance from time to time, he got selected to play for a province level club known as Paltanpur Titans. Back then and still now Sindvpore FC conducts special selection trials at local clubs of Sindvpore and as part of that they visited Paltanpur's academy. At the academy, the Talent Acquisition Officer (Sindvpore FC) noticed Bhattacharya and referred him to the authorities and that gave him the oppurtunity to shift his home club to Sindvpore FC Youth. While playing for Sindvpore FC Youth he was able to showcase his numerous skills and his flexibiity to play in defense and midfield. This had also played a major role in appointing him as the Youth Team Captain. His performance in the Sindvpore Youth League which eventually got him the "Rising Star" award was made a huge news and that led to his name being discussed in a potential National Under 18 Squad. When the final list for the Under 18 Squad was announced, Bhattacharya was included and named captain. That's when the player also got promoted into the Sindvpore FC primary squad. Bhattacharya has been a flexible player with huge leadership qualities and is expected to be having the capacity to be a national team captain in the future.

Image
Raphael O'SHAUGHNESSY
Position:
RW | Age: 19 | Club: Image FC Städeli - B | Apps: 48

O'Shaughnessy is credited to be the first player from his province to be selected for the national team. O'Shaughnessy was born in the island of Saint Federich (District in Rockies Islands Province) to a Catholic couple who had been serving as Engineers at the Memphis Shipyard (Operated by the Government). Since his parents had to spend most of their time at work and travel, he used to be sent to his grandparents house. It was his grandfather who used to be a old football player in the locality who made Raphael also keen on playing ball. His grandfather later decided to send him to a local club at Memphis at the age of twelve, known as Port Memphis Youths. He continued to play as a right winger for Port Memphis Youths until the age of fourteen when he was selected to play at Salingam United's Youth Academy. This was when he was also selected to represent the country in the Under 18 World Cup. His performance in the national camp earned him a sudden promotion to the Primary Squad of Salingam United. Soon after multiple foreign clubs started to offer contracts to him and he was signed by the Taxhavn side FC Städeli's youth team. While playing for the FC Städeli Youth, he had been a successful playmaker which soon got him to be in the club's B Team. O'Shaughnessy is an adamant individual who is willing to learn new skills and learn from his mistakes. He is been considered as a player who can play flexibly in all three sections of the ground, let it be the Attacking Side, Midfield or even the Defence.
Image
Goblin GRUNDJEE
Position:
FW | Age: Unknown | Club: Image Sindvpore FC | Apps: 349

The first and only non-human sportsperson that has been part of Indusse's National Team, that is what Goblin Grundjee is to everyone. Created through Genetic Engineering years ago, Goblin Grundjee is part of the "Grundjee" Project (Family) which was one of the three families/projects that were introduced via genetic engineering (the other two projects are known as Mithys and Auris). The Grundjee family consists of multiple other individuals designed for various roles such as Colonels in the Army and Doctors. Grundjee was engineered using the genes of David E Beckham mixed with animal and algae genes. Grundjee at the time of creation had green skin and sharp ears. After a few years of engineering, he was transformed into a human-like figure. Grundjee ended up being a very successful creation since his play has been vital in the run of the national team. Grundjee is now a player whose name you find in the list of top goal scorers and the players with most appearances. Grundjee has always played for Sindvpore FC in the domestic level, which led to him winning multiple Liga Prime recognitions including championships, Golden Boot and Golden Ball. Grundjee was engineered to play for the National Team and the domestics were never of focus, he is quick and farsighted with skills that make him the perfect attacking midfielder.

Image
Djetson HASLE
Position:
MD | Age: 28 | Club: Image Ulixes Kotr | Apps: 353

Born in the city of Sindvpore as Djetson Hazlett to the couple Dr. Henry Hazlett and Maria Henry. Djetson had to change his surname at the age of sixteen to Hasle to join the film industry as a young actor since there was a prominent star "Philip Hazlett" existing. He couldn't do much in the film industry, which changed his route into football. He had close connections with players like Paulson and Budtedjson which helped him in pursuing a career in football. He was invited to play for the national U-18 team due to his absolutely notable performance for his club Sindvpore FC's Youth Team. His performance also brought him into the national team and got himself a key position. He is married to Katherine Hazlett, daughter of film star Philip Hazlett because of who he had to change his name. Katherine is also a prominent film star in Indusse. Hasle also took part in multiple futsal events in the country and also tried a hand in hockey. But he later realised that he was only made for professional soccer. He was later transferred to Dhalopura FC for loan where he was not able to prove himself. His performance started deteriorating in a slow pace when Sindvpore decided to transfer him to multiple small clubs until he reached SC Bertuara, a club which plays in provincial leagues. His performance started to improve steadily and that was when he rose again in Prominence and got a contract to play at the Taxhavn side Standard Lily. Djetson is experienced with multiple playing environments and is very good at maintaining a connectivity in the game.
Image
RAHUL B Kumar
Position:
FW | Age: 28 | Club: Image Tsear AC | Apps: 269

Born to the national legend Baskar H Kumar as his only son in the private island of Derasar off the coast of Cape de Hind, Rahul had faced a lot of controversy regarding his arrival in the camp to be nepotic. He ended up proving that wrong with his performance in all forms of football. Rahul started his training at a very young age playing for his school teams and later in local clubs around Hind. He followed his father's path of being a sharpshooting striker. He soon started his career at the age of fifteen by playing for New Hind City B Team, the same team that was the stepping stone for his father. He also got into the Under Sixteen and later Under Nineteen national squads in the subsequent years. His performance in these matches soon got him a ticket to the National Team. After his stint at New Hind City FC, he was transferred to play for Neagra FC during his alma mater at Sanātana Dharma College, New Hind City. After a few years playing for Neagra, he went back to New Hind City as a key striker. His play for the club and the national team improved and he got his first overseas contract playing for Tsear AC in Saterun. Rahu who is still young for the game, is quick and a sharp shooter everyone needs to keep an eye on.

Image
Antonio MERSIÁS
Position:
FW | Age: 30 | Club: Image Herzegovina City FC | Apps: 397

Once the youngest recruit in the national camp and now the full-time captain (sixth full time captain in the National Team history) of the National Team, Antonio Mersiás was born in the Karadawadi County in Dhalopura's Farjourd district. Born in a poor family as "Antonio Francis Antony Mersiás" his parents had to find ways to make their needs meet. He was sent to a village school where he was not an achiever in academics but very keen in football. His headmaster who noticed his talent decided to send him to the city of Jawal-Biesse for his further studies and training under the master's expense. He soon got enrolled in FC Jawal-Biesse and was promoted as their Captain. His skills soon got him into the Sporting World Cup Squad and he was named the captain of the team. He took his team into the SWC Semi Finals but lost against Starblaydia. He soon got transferred from FC Jawal-Biesse to Dhalopura FC. He soon got into an argument with the Dhalopura FC Management and he was sent to play for Hind City FC. He played in the club for a few years and his performance there got him into the National Team Squad. Mersiás is also the player from Indusse with most Overseas Transfers. While he played for Hind City, he was offered a contract to play for the Hebitaka side club Demolishers. He soon left Demolishers to the Quebecois Side Winnipeg United. His career had a major boost while playing at Quebec where he was one of the key players in their league. After an illustrious career at Winnipeg, he was transferred to another Quebecois club Baie-Verte. Baie-Verte was a life changer for Mersiás where he improved his performance and skills which eventually won him the Q-League Golden Boot. After a few years at Baie-Verte, he returned to Indusse playing as the main striker for Southbay Riveria FC. While at Southbay Riveria FC he won the Liga Prime Golden Boot thrice and Golden Ball twice. He was recently transferred to the Banijan club Herzegovina City FC which is one of the top ranked club in the world.

Michael DJENKZO
Position:
CF | Age: 21 | Club: Image Burnaby SC | Apps: 56

One of the younger generation in the national camp who is sought to be a key player in the future, Michael Djenkzo was born in the City of Lyssane in Malta. Just like most of the World Cup 99 - 100 season recruits, Djenkzo also got his induction through his domestic and Under nineteen nationals performance. Taking his first steps in Football at the age of nine, he was enrolled in multiple junior training centers by his parents. Eventually Djenkzo got himself to be a key player in his school team and later got selected to play for Lyssane City Youth Academy. Lyssane City Youths played a major role in training and developing Djenkzo to what he is now. His performance for Lyssane City got him his Under 19 Call and later his National Team Call. He was later promoted to the Lyssane City Main Squad at the age of sixteen and he continued his career there improving his skills. He was later transferred to the Reserve Team of Sindvpore FC where he was able to win a few youth leagues and also end up being a classy player. While the Sindvpore FC Management was in talks to promote him to the main squad, he was offered a contract to play for the Kelssek Club Coquitlam United. His first appearance as a player was during his last few years in school when he was suddenly asked to be a substitute player in a Pre-University friendly. Adityavarma Kulashekara International Stadium
Capacity:
131,561 | Location: New Hind City | Highest Attendance (Sport): 122,911

The Aditya Varma Kulashekara International Stadium, is home to the Flocking Blues and is the largest sports stadium in the nation. This stadium located in the Sports City premises of New Hind City has a pre-determined capacity of 131,561 spectators to hold. The stadium since it's creation that happened years before democracy came into Indusse has been used for events that are not at all related to football. The most attendance that was recorded in the stadium was for such an event. This event recorded about 148,241 spectators in the stadium which was lot more than its capacity. This was for the sworn-in ceremony of Baskar H Kumar as the first president of Indusse after years of colonialism and injustice. The Stadium is named after one of the most celebrated emperors of Indusse, His Highness Sri Aditya Varma Kulashekara I. Before that it was known as Sree Kulashekara Stadium and then IFA International Stadium. The IFA later build a smaller stadium not far from this to conduct their usual events.

The Stadium recorded the most attendance for a football match during the World Cup 100 Qualifiers when Indusse faced HUElavia at home. Eventhough the match ended with a draw of two goals scored by both teams each, the spectators data adds up to a record of 122,911 fans. This Stadium was built first by Aditya Varma Kulashekara I, the emperor of Indusse at his reign as a huge ground and was built to accommodate events that could not be conducted in the Darbar Grounds. The land that the stadium stands now was a huge forest that surrounded the Karthapuram Lake and Kadaathaaaru River (now Karthapura Lake and Canal). It was later renovated to a stadium by Aditya Varma Kulashekara III for giving the Indussean Football Association their own home ground. The Stadium at its beginning had a capacity of 62,122 spectators and was later increased to 97,783. The Stadium also in the past hosted the home matches of Royal Hind City FC (Currently, New Hind City FC) and Hind United FC (Currently dissolved). It currently serves as the home ground for New Hind City FC in multiple occasions and also hosts the finals of the Indraprastha Cup.

The Stadium over the years has been home to multiple events including sports and other recreational activities. The stadium has hosted multiple matches of the eighty sixth edition of Baptism of Fire including the final match. It has also hosted multiple finals of the Federation of Football Independents (FFI) including that of League of Victors (16th and 22nd Editions) and the eighteenth edition of FFI Confederations Trophy.

a Debutant's journey
July 24, 2026 - Vurrsenvulker team training camp in Edsmontik, RSE correspondant Skarl Hayye
This July 26 (June 3, 2034 in Edsmontik), Ardelark will be part of the opening standoff against hosts Edsmontik as the long-awaited IAC 26 competition inaugurates. Our team is set to begin training tomorrow, a day prior to kickoff while Ardelarkians back at home share the hope of becoming victorious on the opening match, which will be registered as the first ever game for Ardelark in the tournament's history.

Ardelark's coach Adel Lokman expressed similar hopes of representing the nation in a honourable manner. while confirming next game's importance, citing a 'crucial' one, he also stated that:
Edsmontik will represent a great challenge for our squad, given their high ranking and also the home factor which plays a big role in whether we're gonna do well, but I promise that our fans will witness a fighter spirit this Sunday.

Meanwhile, captain Khedira Reziki added:
We have a lot of respect to the Edsmon team, the pressure of this game is already at high levels and the expectations from our fans are gonna add to that, but we have what it takes and we set the intention to do our best in front of Edsmontik and other teams. What matters to us is that we enjoy this opportunity and show our talent to the world and most importantly make Ardelarkians proud.

The president of the Ardelarkian Football Association has expressed his gratitude to the Edsmontik and Crpostran for their hospitality, saying:
We are thrilled to be here in Edsmontik, we already love the atmosphere here and the ambience says a lot about a promising competition, since it's the largest one hosted yet and we're proud to be part of this historical moment, especially that we are gonna be part of the opening game facing the hosts.

Giant screens have been set in various fan zones across Ardelark, including the capital Mintaka, for the supporters to witness our country's comeback to the world's most popular game.
for RSE, this has been Skarl Hayye, from Touve, Edsmontik.

Modifier: +3 Team plays balanced most of the time, aggressive when opponent's flow drops, defensive when a positive score is secured to preserve the outcome.

Note that the starters wear shirts 1 – 11

Bostopia plays a standard 4–4–2 formation, with two central midfielders, one of whom will hold their position in attack, and drop back a little when out of possession. The second central midfielder is more likely to join attacks going forward, running into the gaps between your midfielders and your defenders.

The Bostopian side plays a quick passing game made up largely of shorter passes, believing the best defence is a good offence, and you can't score if we have the ball*. While we favour possession, the team is both intelligent enough and indeed capable of taking calculated risks, playing longer passes or even passes 'over the top' into space for strikers or wingers to run onto if the chance is there.

Kits

Home, Away, and Third

Image Image Image

Kits are self explanatory – they are the shirt designs that all ten of our outfield players will wear (and substitutes when entering the field at the appropriate time). They will all wear the same shirt design at the same time. Our goalkeepers will wear a plainly-designed shirt in a flourescent colour which we feel your players will dislike the most. Please inform us in advance of any colours particularly offensive to your nation so we can amend our kits and/or colours accordingly. If we were playing Bettia at home OR away, for example, we would very gladly wear our red kits especially for the occasion.

For those of you who are triggered by images of football shirts, or living under a dystopian champagne-socialist north-of-the-river Government who is blocking websites hosting images, Bostopia will play in our traditional red and white striped home kit, a blue away kit, and a third kit which is coloured dusty rose.

If your team is not designated as the home team, and your colours clash with ours, you will change your kits to an alternative, or be roundly mocked and scorned by everyone starting with us. That we need to say this is nothing short of ridiculous, but our players will of course also wear shorts, socks, shinpads and boots. The shorts and socks will match the primary colour of the shirt. The shorts all have a white stripe on the left and right side, over the seam. The socks will have two white hoops at the top of the sock. If any of the shorts or socks clash, we will change them to something appropriate.

A New Era, A New Motivation

HUElavia enters IAC 26 with Coach Narita leading a strong team with serious aspirations to win the IAC!

HUElavia returns once again to a tournament that is synonymous with the National Team: The 26th Independent Associations Championship. It's been two years since the retirement of long-time coach Ignacio Casillas retired from coaching the National Team for over 20 years, leaving as the most successful coach in the team's history. His replacement was Yume Narita, a long-time attacker on the National Team that usually was coming off the bench to impact matches. But after her deep run with the U18 National Team and giving an inspiring and entertaining style of play, the HFA opted to get her on the team, especially for her getting along with many of the young players.

Thus, Yume Narita will lead HUElavia to IAC 26, bringing a team of mainly young players, with only Antistenes Gavicaechebarria and Ronaldo Arruda Barbosa being the only two players 30 years or older on the roster. There has been changes made to the formation of the team, still playing a variant of the the 4-3-3, now lining up with a 4-2-1-3, where it seems the forward line will be pressuring more on all sides. Kaba has been put up as the playmaker of the team, while Gavicaechebarria and Sartori will be responsible for the possession in the midfield. It is also of note that Gavicaechebarria has been listed as the Captain for this roster, a well-deserved honor for his contributions on the field with possession and getting the ball back constantly.

HUElavia enters the IAC having disputed a small, friendly tournament that was introduced by the HFA called the Independent Association Series, or IAS for short. It was a set of knockout matches held throughout different nations that were eligible for the IAC, setting up four different series. HUElavia was drawn into the series hosted by the defending champions Reçueçn, including said Reçueçn, Calgasia and Aphrilia, a very brutal set of opponents that felt like an IAC Semi-Finals. HUElavia defeated Aphrilia 2-1 in extra time with goals from Arruda and Di Natalie. In the Final against Calgasia, HUElavia won it 2-1, with Kaba and Serra getting the goals to get a friendly title to their name. The team played with more ease than usual, not being rattled by the goals scored by Aphrilia and Calgasia, and was playing with confidence in their passes and possession. Definitely promising signs from the new era under Coach Narita.

HUElavia (4) was drawn into Group J with the likes of Solgavden (22), Only Six Words (51), and Farallones Islands (UR), set to play their group stage matches at Crpostran. The opening match for Los Amarillos/Os Amarelos will be against Farallones Islands, to be played at Stadio Della Florentina (70,000) in Ravenna at 4:30 PM on Friday, Day 6 in the tournament. Matchday 2 will be hosting against Solgavden at aurell Stadium (80,000) in Port Mohan at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, Day 17 in the tournament. To close out Group J for HUElavia on Matchday 3, it'll be against Only Six Words at aurell Stadium (80,000) in Port Mohan at 1 PM on Saturday, Day 28 in the tournament. Thus, HUElavia will have their training base outside Port Mohan at a nice hotel with facilities being used at a local university for training. Thanks to the Alliance between HUElavian Airlines and Crpostair, there will be flights between the two nations to allow HUElavian Fans to arrive to the cities for the matches but will mainly involve direct flights between Curumba and Crpostown.

Sticker Albums and Packs for IAC 26 are flying off the shelves and boxes as people are buying packs and trading like crazy to complete the entire 64-team book that totals over 1,200 stickers to complete. Jerseys, scarves and flags are being bought up as always, with fans wanting to put their names and numbers on the back, or of their favorite player too. Thousands of HUElavians will come in droves from around HUElavia in hopes to see another deep run and possibly win that 4th IAC Title.

It was a heartbreaking elimination four years ago in Curumba after such an iconic tournament and run throughout the Multiverse. It was a shame that it didn't end like it did 44 years ago in the Iconic IAC 15 run, but this is a great, new chance to run for the title again. HUElavia are always title contenders with this competition, with the expectation to make at least the Semi-Finals. Although, the team brings up the demand for fans to be patient and pragmatic. This is the largest field yet in this historic competition, and anyone can win it, even if some are heavy favorites compared to the minnows. Such is the beauty of the Indies, where anyone can have a Cinderella run deep into this tournament. Thus, one must take it a match at a time. Here's to another historic edition and what could be the start of another deep run for HUElavia.

FORCA HUELAVIA! VAMOS HUELAVIA! GO HUELAVIA!

Choppyhausen's Report Card
Cycle 101

IAC25: Round of 16
On paper, Choppyhausen saw an improvement in their second ever IAC, reaching the knock-out stages for the first time and even winning their first ever IAC knock-out match with 1-0 against Saperetia. Looking a bit closer, though, shows that Choppyhausen's performance was... boring. Three goals in five matches for the Team in Teal and just as many against did not convince all too much.
Grade: B

World Cup 101 Qualifying: Qualified
The qualification for World Cup 101 went similar to IAC25. The Team in Teal had a worse performance than the cycle before but went further. WC101's playoff-heavy format gave Choppyhausen's national team the chance to qualify despite ending the qualifiers on 4th place just like in cycle 100. And they took it. Five agonizing playoff matches later, Choppyhausen participated in its first ever World Cup.
Grade: B

World Cup 101: Group Stage Exit
Choppyhausen went into WC101 as an underdog, expected to lose all three games and they did. Weak performance, but not unexpected.
Grade: D

Arterra Cup II: Champions
Football fans in Choppyhausen yearned for some success after the disappointing World Cup run and they got loads at the Arterra Cup. All the better that it took place in Choppyhausen, too. An undefeated run through the group stage, a decisive 4-0 quarterfinal, a close 2-1 semi and then again a strong performance in the final: 4-1! What a way to lift the trophy!
Grade: A+

Independent Associations Championship 26
Our Opponents

Choppyhausen finds itself in the curious and new position to be the Pot 1 team of their group for the first time in their international football history (disregarding the Arterra Cup). Suddenly, they are the favorites, expected to finish the group at the top of the standings. And these are the three teams that want to stop them from reaching their expectations:

Aamathyr (IAC-Rankings: 45th)
Aamathyr are one of last cycle's Baptism of Fire Quarterfinalists. Just like Choppyhausen, they ended up in the WC101 playoffs, but unlike the Team in Teal, Aamathyr were not able to travel to Paradystopia or Farfadillis at the end. Their ultra-defensive play style will remind some Choppyhausenian fans of last IAC's 0-0s and 1-0s. Aamathyr is Choppyhausen's strongest group opponent, but definitely not unbeatable.

Safiloa (IAC-Rankings: 67th)
Some Choppyhausenian might have seen Safiloa already... at the latest Elephant Chess Cup. Otherwise, we do not know about this nation or their football team. Ideally, they're not that good.

Tumnia (IAC-Rankings: Unranked)
Choppyhausen has never played Tumnia, but so has everyone else. The Tumnian national football team will play their first ever tournament at the IAC26 and the Team in Teal will be their first opponent. Newcomers should never underestimated... Still, a win against Tumnia is a must for Choppyhausen's knock-out goals.

All About Isla

produced by ReemSports

Isla Monbury isn't just some random person. She is one of the greatest managers ever to grace the Natkr Prime League, arriving to the Natkr national team after leading CSKA City to the NPL final, and achieving a top 4 finish in her final season with the club. From the beginning of the league, she has shown herself to be a wonderful manager, with smooth, smart tactics and a great defensive mind. To name each and every accomplishment for you, she has three championship appearances and one league title to her belt, along with two Stronghold Shields (top team in the league standings) as well. Her teams often play a style of football unlike any other team, which in a summary, kinda reminds you of one word: power. They have possession 98% of the time, they play entertaining football, and one thing about them is that her teams know how to work their butts off. That right there was exactly why the NFF knew she was the woman man for the job.

Fairly well known for her successes as a manager and for her career in the woman's game, Monbury will now mostly likely change the formation to 4-4-2, unlike previous managers like Kyes Weah and Sigmund Reynolds, who mostly kept around the same formation for multiple tournaments. While everyone and their mother likes to keep the same three-in-the-back systems and whatever you call "inverted defensive-minded strikers", Isla's system is more connected with a focus on sharp-focused players, with clean transitions like one-twos as her way to make this happen. The new formation will provide the team with a structured plan, which will hopefully help many newcomers, especially the new defenders (cough, cough, Vega and Nathanael), adapt quickly, which is mainly something the team lacked in the Reynolds era, which is why we often saw many of those.. disappointing results.

One of the main reasons Natkr decided to go for her, instead of a more qualified international manager, is because she is great at developing talent. A few years ago, the Natkr national team managed to win the U15 World Cup, even though they were underdogs and barely deserved their spot in the knockouts. After succeeding and securing their place in the quarterfinals as the second seed, they beat Sernet on penalties (which isn't really surprising, we'll get to that later), and later advancing to the semi-finals against Edsmontik. The team pulled out another dominant win against the Vdes, arriving to the final against Taxhavn. Natkr slaughtered Taxhavn, and with this win, there would be a chance that youth football will be taken serious for national team purposes. Everyone was wrong. Both managers for the national team and most clubs in Natkr didn't take the chance to develop these players, and it limited their ability to grow as players. Isla, hopefully, will change that.

While she was at CSKA City, she could put anyone on, and sub anyone off. She wasn't afraid to sub off the Golden Boot leader for a random 17-year-old kid who's never played a second of first-team football in a cup final. By the way, that "kid" scored the winner. This will help her well in her use for the national team. A lot of these players feel entitled to starting on the national team, but this does nothing more than inflate their ego and hurt the team. Starting now, the federation is not looking at how much caps you have, but your footballing ability. They're not going to keep calling up lazy bums, simply because their jersey sells more in the stores. You could be 58 and living in a retirement home, but as long as you put 100% effort into the team, you can probably start. That's just how the cookie crumbles.

She came at just the right time, as Natkr prepare for the next cycle of the Independent Associations Championship, a tournament for independent regions (if you didn't know already), co-hosted by two Karmic countries, Edsmontik and Crpostran. This tournament is Monbury's chance to make a new shining impact to the national team, and hopefully bring Natkr to glory for the first time ever. It's her time to prove herself to the country, and the beginning of the new national team project. It can also help her prove whether or not she can shine on the international stage, and how quickly some of the new players from the league can adapt. The Natkrian Football Federation has secured a secret training and living complex in Henzaire, for the players to bond and connect without any media presence around. No distractions. No late night partying. Just football.

The group stage looks to be a journey for the Natkrians. The Green and Blue will be facing two unranked sides, Delphinon and Imoto, in Group D. It will be a challenge to go against these two growing footballing nations, but Isla will work with the team to secure each win and gain all points necessary to advance to the knockouts. Here in the IAC, every second counts. But the main problem in this group is a familiar friend to the country, Sernet. Sernet and Natkr have been familiar foes with each other, with the rivalry between the two nations growing each and every day. The two nations had the chance to play each other in a friendly two weeks ago, ironically before finding out they were groupmates, and the result was a tough draw, ending in 1-1. Dottman opened the scoring for the Steamers in the fifteenth minute, before Henry Henderson, the new captain of Natkr after David Lopez's international retirement, headed the Green and Blue back into the game in the 67th minute. Honestly, whoever wins this match will mostly likely top the group, which is why Natkr needs to be in a better defensive shape to work together as a team.

The excitement for Monbury has increased as fans realize this is a manager who values the country truly. Other managers in the past would focus on their glory, and all of their accomplishments, unlike Monbury, who has put her country first and bringing success to the team. That's what it's all about, and now the team has gained passion for the first time in five years. She doesn't care about the past failures to qualify for the World Cup, or whatever even happened in the past for the national team. The only thing she calls for is players who will die on the line for Natkr, and give their absolute all on the pitch.

The old guard, like Henry Henderson or Jonty Hatfield, will have to adjust to these new changes and stop whining like a toddler. Monbury needs a high work ethic from each of her players, which means even an efficient striker like Henry Henderson will need to track back and press from the front for the good of the team. The 4-4-2 system she uses works on movement, which means the midfielders must work together to move the ball up, while the strikers (Henderson, Sterling) move as one, instead of two lone attackers cherrypicking for a pass.

Everyone can fight for the job, as long as you put in the work. Established players over 50 caps and unknown players from the U19 level can fight to make a spot on the team, which begins a new beginning for the structure of Natkrian football, as well for a chance to change the view of the Natkr national team with a manager that has a plan and a vision. IAC will prove to us whether the project is nothing special or the starting of something new. Natkr fans now have a reason to watch the matches, and trust in the process. With Isla on the charge, some players dropped, and a new national team for the people to see, we now know something. It's Natkr season. Get on the boat now everyone, and let's see where Captain Monbury steers us to.

Welcome to the Sports World of Großlöwenburg!
a proud germanic nation on the RP Map of Valsora in The East Pacific
See the roster here

>Großlöwenburg<

Welcome to Sports11 -- the main domestic channel for sports news!

Introduction
Hello and welcome to the first special edition from Sports11. We are your number one source for the latest happenings in the world of sports in Löwenburg! Whether in print or online, Sports11 reaches everyone. Today, we kick off this special edition by introducing the up-and-coming international tournament known as the "Independent Associations Championship" (IAC), because Löwenburg is taking part, too! But what exactly is the IAC? It is a major tournament for international and multiversal. and, above all, independent, nations. This year, in 2006 by the Löwenitsch Calendar (June 2034 by host calendar), it is the largest edition ever, featuring 64 participants. With 26 editions already under its belt, the tournament ranks alongside other major events like the World Cup and the Baptism of Fire. We’ll keep you updated on the tournament as we head into Löwenburg’s first international competition following a long hiatus! So stay tuned and subscribe to our newsletter so you don’t miss a thing!

Last international period
But let’s get down to business. Although Löwenburg’s domestic football scene has expanded significantly over the past few decades, and undergone a major overhaul in the process, the nation has remained quiet on the multiversal and international stages. With the new league systems, which are still being refined, we are currently in the 06/07 season, and the setup has firmly established itself. Aside from the international outings of our glorious top teams in the Cup of States against Leithanien, there is actually nothing new to report. The last time players from various clubs joined forces was back in 1987, when the LFA decided to enter a squad in the Baptism of Fire 80 tournament. That attempt, however, failed miserably on many fronts. Due to the decentralized, confederal structure of Greater Löwenburg, the team struggled to gel from the very start. Plagued by a lack of quality, a crumbling league system, and various issues ranging from corruption to attempted fraud, Löwenburg’s football scene was far removed from the multiversal elite.

The team got off to a disastrous start in the tournament. A 3–0 defeat in their first home international was followed by a 3–1 loss in their first away game; Novaros and Tanirinthia simply proved too strong. A fantastic 4–4 draw against Patriotlandia was followed by a narrow 2–1 defeat against Greater Kamilistan. With legends like Sir Hugo von Aengla and Oliver Ibra in the ranks, Löwenburg’s hastily assembled squad faced top-tier nations, and managed to prove their worth after those initial struggles. They conceded no goals at all in the subsequent four matches, posting a fantastic record of three wins, one loss, and an 8–0 goal difference. Ultimately, however, they did not advance beyond the group stage, and the LFA was left with a mixed assessment of the campaign.

Instead of initially continuing to pursue the national team project within its decentralized structure, the LFA turned its attention to domestic football. A new league system was introduced, one that remains the pinnacle of football in Valsora following the last reform in the 2005/06 season. This year, the LFA is once again focusing on the national team project. Although the sport remains organized on a decentralized basis, football is a major popular pastime and, as such, a unifying force. Through careful preparation, players were selected from the best teams of recent years to represent Löwenburg internationally once more, after a hiatus of 19 years, though this time in a different tournament. The aim is for Löwenburgian football to reach the global stage and compete in all future tournaments... and who knows, perhaps one day even bring home some prestigious silverware.

Preparation
The squad, details of which have already been reported elsewhere, prepared through a variety of matches. The team is a hastily assembled group of 22 players led by coach Peter von Neustein, with star player Ludwig von den Linden (from King's Team) serving as captain. The selection of the national squad for this tournament and the preceding preparation phase has already drawn criticism, as not everyone is convinced by the team's composition. For instance, King's Team is contributing eight players and Legio Löwenburg three, despite neither having performed well in the 2006/07 season. Ironically, the two best teams from last season, Haschborg's FC Haschborg and SV Haschborg 04, are missing entirely. They are joined by Lords and Plebs FC and 1. FC Kaiserclaw, neither of which has particularly distinguished itself. SK Sturm Beatrixa, the top club in the modern leagues, is contributing just two players, while former champions Hansa Kolsche is providing only one. Borussia Walste and FC Sturm Baltika are also contributing two players each, which is acceptable. However, the most surprising selections are the inclusion of Vincze von Tibor from SV Utreburg, a team that is, after all, only just in the first division, and, above all, two players from the side Jugend Bellask! A questionable decision.

And yet, Löwenburg began its preparations as usual, backed by the full support of the LFA. Löwenburg took part in the Independents Association Series 1, a series of friendly matches between participants, and actively sought out further friendlies across the multiverse. The opening match against hosts Solgavden proved to be a total disaster for our still-inexperienced international side; despite Ludwig von von Linden’s best efforts, we were blown out of the stadium, losing 5–2. This was followed by a better performance against Aamathyr, a match that ended 1–1 but was ultimately lost on penalties. All in all, it was not a bad showing, especially considering that the squad’s unfamiliar composition played a significant role in the outcome.

Things didn't improve quickly, however. Two friendlies against Serdtgyu and one against Jaliserra followed, yielding not a single victory. After an initial disappointing 2–2 draw, the team suffered two 3–2 defeats; a narrow loss is still a loss, after all. Criticism began to mount once more. Peter von Neustein’s clear plan, to let the players find their chemistry first, appeared to have failed. The only bright spot during this dark period, a player who certainly found his rhythm, was captain Ludwig von den Linden; he scored an incredible eight goals in five games (without a single win, mind you) and gave his all for the nation. Then there was "super-sub" Johannes Anton Labrador und Pudel, who chipped in with a goal. All in all, the preparation phase was incredibly disappointing and things really didn't go our way. Instead of the team settling down and finding its footing, as happened in BoF 80, there was simply no success to show for it. Consequently, Peter von Neustein tweaked his mindset slightly, switching to a "-3" setup, though without making any personnel changes. Perhaps that wouldn't have made a difference anyway, was the squad selection flawed from the start? In any case, Löwenburg will emerge from this tournament with greater insight and will have to draw the necessary conclusions, whatever direction things take.

Pots and Draws
One can speculate and debate the direction things might take, but let’s first look at the facts. Löwenburg started in Pot 3, out of four, based on current rankings. Pot 1 contains the top-tier teams, while Pot 4 holds the unproven ones. One team is drawn from each pot to form a group. In line with the LFA’s desire for international exposure, Löwenburg was placed directly into Group A. Alongside the unranked Arklanda, Löwenburg faces 25th-ranked The Golden Harp, one of the stronger teams in Pot 2—and, incredibly, the host nation Edsmontik, ranked fifth. It is a tough group, as only the top two teams advance. To move forward, Löwenburg must either pull off major upsets or consistently secure second place ahead of The Golden Harp. Yet Arklanda shouldn't be underestimated either. And after this preparation? It might be wishful thinking, but perhaps a change in tactics will make a difference...

There will be three matchdays, and all three are of the utmost importance! First, the 1st seed plays the 4th, and the 2nd plays the 3rd. Löwenburg kicks things off against The Golden Harp and needs to show real fighting spirit right from the start to secure crucial points. Regardless of the outcome of that first match, Löwenburg will then face Arklanda and must pick up three points there to keep their hopes alive. Finally, Löwenburg will take on Edsmontik, a fitting conclusion, hoping to play the role of the major underdog or, at the very least, bow out of the tournament with their heads held high. No matter how things turn out, Löwenburg must keep their heads up, put their preparation behind them, and focus entirely on IAC. We wish our national team best of luck, schießt die Gegner vom Platz und Gloria Löwenburgia!

Although many were hoping for Handrix Casfo's career to end on a high, it ended on a whimper. A 2-1 loss to Milchama in the CoH Round of 16 was not what most were expecting, but it was the final chapter of an illustrious career. Now, after a short recruitment struggle at the SFF, Dante Feilan has been promoted, and will be leading this team forward. He's been given a provisional one-cycle contract, and his first test will be the largest IAC ever. He hasn't made too many changes, but one headline move has been giving Aleksander Vivić a starting spot. This has been a long time coming, and now the young striker will be looking to translate his club success onto the international stage. There's no telling how this tournament will go, but expectations are already high. Saterun will play their group stage games in Crpostran, a country that we're fairly friendly with, but will be hoping to progress far past that. However, only time will tell. Can Dante Feilan finally return the Claws to the glory of the early 20s?

Team Archalit Finish 3rd in Kovatsk Cup, Enter IAC 26

One goal by Madeleine Olson and one goal by Kalan Tryavolos of the Krajzovda People's Council in the 3rd place playoff of the Kovatsk Cup let the tense match go to extra time, and without any goals scored in those final 30 minutes, the game spilled over to a penalty shootout. As before, Madeleine Olson and Kalan Tryavolos each found the net. Then it went back-and-forth, with no team letting up any opportunities. In the fifth shot, Jodie Griffiths found the net, leaving it to Vekiran Baatriik to face Archalitian goalkeeper Tyler Aboya. A staggered step--a flash--and the ball drove towards the left side of the net. But Tyler Aboya had read it. Diving towards the ball and grazing it with his fingertips, the 24 year-old goalkeeper had officially secured the bronze medal for the Pirates. While the Kovatsk Cup is, at the end of the day, a relatively casual tournament featuring many teams whose international debut was in this bracket, the Pirates finding themselves in the top 3 demonstrated, at least, that their fitness was not completely gone.

As the team is continuing to find its footing during their rebuild, Madeleine Olson, the team's captain and star player, is leading the charge towards their next international competition. This time, the team will be entering the much more competitive Independents Cup. With the group draw concluded, the team is poised to face three opponents it has never faced before: Bostopia, the United Marble Tribes, and Polaxia. Group C is, perhaps, a lucky draw, featuring some of the featuring some of the weakest competition in the tournament (excluding Group K, which randomly happened upon the bottom of pots 1 and 2). Nevertheless, Archalit sits seeded 3rd in Group C, and with only the Kovatsk Cup as their recent experience, some are dubious as to whether the Pirates will have realistic chances in this coming Independent's Cup.

Public broadcasting will begin tomorrow, on June 5th, 2034 in Edsmontik time (2047-01-07 18:00 ARCT).

The Viola arrives in Crpostan, ready for its debut in the 26th edition of the Independent Associations Championship

After the Viola’s incredible debut run in the 101st edition of the World Cup, Edoardo di Palma (and the wonderful team he’s constructed) is now ready to tackle an unfamiliar challenge: this cycle’s record-breaking 64 team will now see Snestar as part of the competing teams, starting out already ranked 14th among the independent nations despite never participating in the competition before. The newly acquired ranking came from the national team’s participance in the first Independent Associations Series, which Snestar hosted and won on penalties.

The IA Series Adventure

When the IA Series was first announced, the FSC thought to give two venues of Snestar (the Stadio Olimpico in Dandelicha, and the Veralica Stadium in Ardalya), in hopes to allow the National Team to become familiar with a few other nations part of the Independents, through a set of friendly matches, before preparing for the IAC itself, as well as allowing Snestar to be assigned an official Independents rank (different from the KPB+ rankings, where the Viola is now ranked 29th in the multiverse). Basically everyone in Snestar saw the decision positively, as the public opinion thought that hosting a tournament (even if it wasn’t a competitive one) meant that Snestar had finally reached a sufficient level of notoriety to be considered for partially organized such events.

While Sudilia had comfortably beaten Delaclava 3-1, the Viola was joined by Saterun in the semifinals, a familiar face: Snestar had been the only one who were able to defeat the Cup of Harmony 92 winners, before being knocked out of the group stage due to goal difference. Back then, manager Camilla Arentas had congratulated the Snestaryans for fighting until the end, despite the elimination from the tournament culminating in a fairly respectable end of a World Cup cycle, especially for a debutant nation. In the IA Series, the Viola constructed by Edoardo di Palma was able to plague Saterun once again, defeating them 1-0 thanks to the usual Tero Sjölund and advancing to the Finals. After the Snestaryans watched Saterun thrash Delaclava 6-0 at the Veralica Stadium, the Viola then had to take on Sudilia, at the Stadio Olimpico. Despite the overwhelming support of the home crowd, it was a surprisingly close game that was brought all the way to penalties: after going down one goal in the first half, Elisa Baldriga managed to re-take the balance in the 73rd minute, though the thirty minutes of extra time didn’t see much action… However, when it was time to walk up to the penalty spot, the Snestaryans proved to the world just how they can overcome the pressure and focus on the toughest moments: Snestar won the coin toss, and all four penalties, taken respectively by Baldriga, NT debutant Shurdaqi, Marchesi, and De Roux comfortably found the net, while a spectacular performance by Federico Calvaresi denied all but one penalty by Sudilia, giving the National Team its first ever trophy. Although the IA Series was a friendly tournament, the victory was treated by the normally perennially-pessimistic media as a historical achievement, as the people of Snestar could finally watch their nation be crowned champions of something, after the controversy surrounding the 87th Baptism of Fire and the dreams shattered after the miraculous World Cup 101 campaign.

After the match, we’d tried to interview both our coach Edoardo di Palma and Vittorio Gallerani, who’d bid farewell to the National Team after many years of playing in purple. However, we’d been informed that both weren’t available for whatever reason… We’re starting to notice a pattern here: the Viola’s coach has consistently dodged press conferences, appearing only to talk about the team’s development in the off-cycle period. Some conspiracy theorists are hypothesizing that Di Palma is actually an artificial being, but it’s quite hard to believe: his elusive behavior is very much human. You could say he’s paranoid, but he’s definitely no android.

Calgasia Football Team
Official roster for the 26th IAC
Image

General Information

Nation: Calgasia
Trigram: CGS
Nicknames: Der Adler (The eagles), Unsere Mädchen und Jungen(Our Boys and Girls), the Black Eagles
Motto: Vorwärts! (Forward!)
Association: Calgasische Fussball-Bund - CFB
Head Coach: Ferenc Csáky
Captain: Jan Novák, Gloria Renner
Most caps: Various (53)
Top scorer: Jan Novák (34)
Record (W/D/L): 34-16-23

"Enough with this nonsense", were the words used by the new president of the Calgasische Fussball-Bund, Walther Bauer-Leitz. The controversial St. Agatha-born lawyer and sports administrator won the support of some of the teams and most of the members of the CFB board, promising results. "The Gegenpress and total football might work in our Bundesliga, but it is clear that it is not enough in international football", he addressed to CRF Sport.

The truth is that the Black Eagles have been knocking at the door of the top teams in the last seasons, but it still hasn't made it to the World Cup, nor has it done deep runs in the IAC yet. And Bauer-Leitz thinks that the blame is on the defensive part of the team. "We concede too many goals" was his thorough analysis. And thus, he fired the Prophet, Karel Polásek, and hired probably the most infamous coach in the entire country: Ferenc Csáky, whose ultradefensive tactics earned him the nickname of "The Sheikh" during his days at Club Hungária, and especially Welser AC, the Enfants Terribles of the national football.

Thus, contrary to its football tradition, based on an attack-oriented style, Calgasia is now waging a full-scale jihad against good football.

Roster

Legend:
Number -- Name -- Age -- Position -- Club
Starters in bold

Goalkeepers
1. Jiri Srubek -- 25 -- GK -- Fussball-Club Bohunice
13. Max Haller -- 26 -- GK -- Welser AC
26. María Kálnoky -- 32 -- GK -- Club Hungária

Jiri Srubek, after three titles in five years with FC Bohunice, is clearly the best keeper in the country. A more flamboyant style compared to the serious, academic Kaltenbrunner, now retired from the Black Eagles, Srubek is still young but has improved his level, forgetting the sudden mistakes and errors that plagued his game at the start of his career.
Young keeper Haller from Welser AC keeps getting calls to the national team but cannot make it to the starting eleven, along with the reliable Kálnoky.

Defenders
2. Antonin Hojer -- 28 -- RB -- Melperk Sport Verein
3. Jan Schlossinger -- 20 -- CB -- Welser AC
4. Martin Kargel -- 28 -- CB -- Phönix Sport Verein
14. Károly Hájos -- 25 -- LB -- Club Hungária
15. Matej Blecha -- 29 -- CB -- Fussball-Club Bohunice
19. Jakob Schulz -- 24 -- CB -- Melperk Sport Verein
20. Nico Dorn -- 28 -- RB -- Fussball-Club Bohunice
23. Stefan Hofer -- 18 -- RB -- Welser AC
24. Mía Wallner -- 27 -- CB -- Club Hungária
25. Jan Tesař -- 19 -- CB -- FC Lílov

Traditionally the weakest line in the team, they are now the core of the bus that Calgasia will park every matchday, much to the dismay of rivals (and their own fans). The defence is dominated by the young pair Schulz and Schlossinger, with 24 and 20 years respectively, with Matej Blecha, who brings centimetres and power to the line, as the first replacement. The young centrebacks have an excellent ball control and passing, and their height makes them to be very safe in crosses and set pieces. The left flank in the formation is for Károly Hajós. The 25 y/o Hungária player is one of the fastest players in the tournament, able to dash through lines and with a very effective left foot for crosses or set pieces, now more mature and less prone to concentration errors.

Antonin Hojer is a reliable player, being more defence oriented and able to play in both flanks, and will start on the right side. His tactical sense will be crucial in a team that needs more experience in the multiverse stage. Centrebacks Nágy and Tesar will bring intimidation, strenght and centimetres to the defence, while Mía Wallner will be a jack-of-all-trades, being able to play in several positions.

Midfielders
5. Béla Szecsi -- 22 -- CM -- Club Hungária
6. Max Bohren -- 28 -- CM -- Phönix Sport Verein
7. Xaver Webern -- 30 -- LW -- Goldstadt Sport Kreis
8. György Biró -- 27 -- CAM -- Club Hungária
11. Brigita Horáčková -- 22 -- RW, CAM -- Fussball-Club Bohunice
12. Emil Sedlácek -- 24 -- CAM, W -- Melperk Sport Verein
16. Pavlina Kostková -- 25 -- CM -- Fussball-Club Bohunice
17. Christine Cieszyn -- 29 -- CM -- Melperk Sport Verein
18.Gisela Spitz -- 26 -- RW, RB -- Ausnes FC

The Adlers midfield will be dominated in the centre by Szecsi, Bohren and Sedlácek. The three players will control the flow of the game while maintaining a great workrate both in defence and offence phases. Do not miss the chance to see Sedlacek; the CAM of Bohemian origin has confirmed he is one of the best creative midfielders in the Multiverse, but there is some scepticism about how will he fit in the new ultradefensive tactics. Szecsi, the young central midfielder from Club Hungária, earns his first call with the senior team, a box-to-box with great technique that will surely attract some interest.

Spitz brings vision and speed from the flanks, with a decent shot. In the right flank, we will find Webern. His unpredictability when they have the ball possession (sometimes running for a cross, or cutting to the middle and combining with Sedlácek or Novák, or shooting) will make them constant threat for rivals.
In the bench, the coach will find plenty of options to choose. From the defensive-minded CDMs Kostková and Cieszyn, to the more creative and explosive Horáčková and Biró.

Forwards
9. Jan Novák -- 27 -- ST -- Melperk Sport Verein
10. Gloria Renner -- 30 -- ST -- Goldstadt Sport Kreis
22. Zoey Moser -- 30 -- ST -- Melperk Sport Verein
21. Hedwig Schöngau -- 21 -- ST -- Phönix Sport Verein

Calgasia's chances lies in the shoulders of one player, Jan Novák. The best striker in the country, combining a fast and strong 1,85cm body with a great sense of the game, being able to combine with teammates and finding open spaces. Gloria Renner, the captain for the last seasons, will start from the bench this time, given her poor performance last season, and will wait for the second half to enter and disrupt the tired defenders. In the bench Zoey Moser will await an opportunity, after being two of the best players during the season. Hedwig Schöngau, considered one of the best young players in the country, earns her first call, her speed and dribble key for the counter-attacks and will start.

Tactics

After seasons with an attack-oriented style, Calgasia now proposes a hardline version of haramball. The formation will be a 4-2-3-1, or 4-4-2 the coach has decided to switch to this formation, to have two compact lines instead of three defenders, and fill the midfield, while in attack they move quickly to the flanks to have counter-attacks, especially after stealing the ball. Key points:
-"Ana Maradun": We don’t know how long this phase will last, but for now, haramball will be the dominant religion within the national team. Do not expect any joy or amusement. Only pain and suffering.
-Wing play and counter-attack: true to national tradition, the Adlers will carry much of the attacking play down the flanks, looking to generate superiority or for the full-back to double the winger to generate space.
-Great physicality: another typical aspect of Calgasia is the prevalence of physical play over individual technique. Expect strong, fast players, able to launch quick counterattacks, and deadly for rivals if given enough space
-Nastier: Calgasians usually are good, quiet people. But not during the 90 minutes a game is on. Expect mean defences, sacrifice, flying elbows, a hard tackle or two and in general a tough style of play and bookings. Here, have a tissue to dry your tears.
-Dangerous set plays: Calgasian football puts a strong emphasis on tactics and strategy. Expect tactical corner kicks where the tall Calgasian players can gain an advantage over rivals.

Set Plays

Penalty takers: Jan Novák, Emil Sedlácek, Xaver Webern
Right Corner Kick: György Biró, Emil Sedlácek
Left Corner Kick: Emil Sedlácek, György Biró,
