In all seriousness, I asked Varanius for a silly title in line with Perdition’s theocratic thematic elements. I presume he considers it a fairly menial gesture of appreciation for my election efforts.

Feels like there is a glaring hole in that list in the form of you BBD, although tbf it's mostly a filler list.

Otherwise great result, I voted Vara as NatSov to keep the WA out of our nation's.

Obviously not Vara but I've helped a lot of GA newcomers and can say with some confidence that the best way to get started is to do the thing and make mistakes and learn and listen to feedback and reach out to people who have done stuff similar to what you want to do. Formal "mentorship" can be nice for lighting a fire under your ass to make you feel some sort of urgency to do these things but the only way to really learn is to make mistakes and learn and no amount of mentorship can overcome a mental block to that, nor is it stronger than self motivation.

Feel free to telegram or DM me (and this goes for anyone) if you want to chat about it but I don't want to steal Vara's thread anymore than I have so far.

Well that seems pretty difficult, there’ll be nothing to repeal! In all seriousness, HR and Quebec have linked the criteria that the Sovereign Seven and I believe will establish quality new legislation inline with a vision for a more responsible General Assembly. We didn’t do all the work of hammering out and debating what types of affirmative resolutions are worth supporting for no reason.

I’d be willing to consider it but explicit mentorship programs are overwhelmingly duds. There’s a pretty expansive guide to the General Assembly, a lot of drafted resolutions to look through to get the tone right, and the GA forums have become a lot better at giving meaningful feedback since a lot of that Simone/Wally crowd quit. The only thing a “mentorship program” can provide is a fancy coauthor with political capital to smooth things along, and while I’m not opposed to facilitating that it does not need a special space to do so.

See Vara's post just above. Structured authorship programs have historically accomplished little; direct mentorship by working with established authors on personal interests is infinitely more effective.

Ideally, we will create an environment in the GA such that new, earnest authors feel welcome and comfortable without the need for some kind of "dry run", "no stakes", or otherwise preemptively minimizing their own projects.
