Regarding new Government Appointments

The League & Concord hasn't had an easy path in Gameplay. Coming onto the scene as a fledgling defender region pulling itself out from the backwaters through sheer willpower, the dozens of contributors to the government of TL&C had their work cut out for them over the years. We've pulled together first to defeat internal problems, transforming our internal community from a small, isolated gaming and roleplay-focused community held back by toxic personalities to the thriving, inclusive community of over three hundred World Assembly members and over 50 roleplayers that we are today. Next, with our community rejuvenated, we set out with one goal in mind -- getting rid of the stain that was the Raider Unity cult. It was a long and laborious process, but thanks to the contributions from storied figures like Quebecshire, New Makasta, Paleocacher, DinoNet, Anjan Kloss, Sulenia, and Entropan, the head of the snake was cut off with the dissolution of the Brotherhood of Malice. Of course, the war continues against its proxies, and will not cease until they are vanquished.

That being said, despite our historic and continued success, we're always going to be faced with unprecedented challenges as a community. These challenges come in many shapes and forms, and affect every community on the site. Some of them are make-or-break and have the ability to permanently alter a community's trajectory if handled exceedingly well, or exceedingly poorly. But these challenges cannot be ignored and must be confronted head-on to protect the wellbeing of a community. Following the long-duration absence of Chief Consul Anjan Kloss, the remainder of the Consulate has decided to make several changes to the government composition of The League & Concord. These changes are designed to facilitate the continued effective governing of our community, maintaining The League Standard and our excellence in running the site's most comprehensive roleplay, largest regional military, and thriving cultural scene.

Firstly, for the duration of Anjan Kloss' continued inability to serve on the Consulate of the Republic, it is necessary to remove Entropan from her current position as Speaker of the Council of the Republic, and as Director of Internal Affairs. Despite serving excellently in her positions, we feel that it is more than deserved to offer Entropan the chance to serve as a member of the Consulate to fill in for Anjan Kloss. Since joining the community in 2023, Entropan has been an avowed roleplayer who later transformed into a leader in the League's Defense Forces, recruiting scene, and later the Council of the Republic and Executive Government. Entropan's steady leadership, resilience, and complete devotion to helping the community become its best makes her the perfect fit for the role. Please make sure to congratulate Entropan!

Secondly, the Director of Internal Affairs vacancy will be filled by Masilia. Masilia is not a face known across Gameplay, but is a reliable long-time Concord native who's maintained the Concord roleplay map, aided extensively in Concord integration and welcoming, and has impressively contributed to the community's recruiting scene. Masilia has shown his perseverance and ability to step up when needed, as well as a desire to learn more and continue helping the community. Please make sure to congratulate Masilia!

Thirdly, as the Consulate now comprises Mechanocracy, Gagium, and Entropan, the Consulate has seen it fit to appoint a new Chief Consul. To this extent, Gagium will be acting as Chief Consul of the Republic heading forward.

Hello! I never expected to be writing something like this, particularly not under these circumstances.

I've been here for the better part of the past two years, in which time this community has become important to me. I've been able to disconnect during some incredibly difficult months to something without stress and complication and hubbub, the benefits of which I won't fully realise until long down the line. Giving back, to the friends I have here and for the stability positions in here have given me, is necessary.

I don't know how long I'll be in the Consulate for, but I look forward to serving the region's interests in any way I can. Kivu has been a kind and supportive figure throughout my time here, and I do hope that he is doing well. I wish to express gratitude towards Gagium, Spode and Quebecshire, for the trust they have placed in me to perform this role. And I wish to prove that trust has not been misplaced.

Treaty of Delvin-Paluri

with the Frontierist Republic of Talonia

The Grand Republic of The League and Concord is pleased to announce the ratification of the Treaty of Delvin-Paluri. Since their emergence onto the international stage in 2024, Talonia has been a constant force in foreign affairs. Their entry into the MGC as a stalwart force in military gameplay fighting alongside our LDF precipitated a foreign affairs renaissance, boosted further still by their deployment of rather unconventional strategies in cultural foreign affairs.

The treaty is comprehensive, covering mutual defence and intelligence sharing, cultural exchange, World Assembly coordination, and, in a world first, regulations concerning Rocket Bot Royale, ranging from agenda-posting coordination to RBRWT collaboration (that, critically, does not entail match fixing. Allegations of secret clauses to that end are dangerous, and should not be pursued seriously).

It comes after a gruelling three months into the new year of rather creative relations pursued between our own Chief Consul Gagium, and Talonian High Overseer Moukden and Kirin. Treaty negotiations were characterised by what Talonian Concierge Frailty called "so much slop", perhaps best shown by the original title of the treaty; the "Rocket Bot Marriage".

Article I - MUTUAL RECOGNITION

1.1 | The parties to this agreement are the Frontierist Republic of Talonia and the Republic of The League and Concord.

1.2 | The Frontierist Republic of Talonia recognises the Republic of The League and Concord, represented by the Consulate of the Republic as Head of State and Government. Talonia shall not recognise any person or body claiming those positions outside of the Consulate or any entity it authorises to exercise those functions.

1.3 | The Republic of The League and Concord recognises the Frontierist Republic of Talonia, represented by the High Overseer as Head of State and Government. The League and Concord shall not recognise any WA Delegacy not held by the High Overseer, the Vice Delegate, or their designated representative.

Article II - DEFENSE AND SECURITY

2.1 | The parties commit to non-aggression and shall not initiate or support any hostile act against one another.

2.2 | The parties commit to mutual defense and shall provide assistance upon request by either signatory.

2.3 | The parties shall refrain from espionage, covert infiltration, or any unauthorised intelligence operations directed against one another.

2.4 | The Frontierist Special Brigade of Talonia and the League’s Defense Forces shall share relevant intelligence on external threats to either party’s sovereignty.

Article III - CULTURAL COOPERATION

3.1 | The parties shall endeavour to host joint events and initiatives to promote mutual understanding and regional goodwill.

3.2 | All joint cultural activities shall comply with the laws, policies, and sanctions in force in both regions.

3.3 | The parties commit to maintaining open communication to facilitate cultural collaboration and resolve any issues that arise.

Article IV - WORLD ASSEMBLY COOPERATION

4.1 | The signatories agree to coordinate their positions and support each other’s initiatives within the General Assembly and Security Council whenever their interests align, and circumstances permit.

Article V - RATIFICATION

5.1 | This treaty enters into force upon ratification by both parties according to their respective internal procedures.

5.2 | Amendments may be proposed by either party and enter into force only upon mutual written consent and ratification per clause 5.1.

5.3 | The parties may issue joint statements or memoranda to clarify or supplement this treaty as needed.

Article VI - ROCKET BOT ROYALE

6.1 | The Talonia Eagles and The League & Concord Minutemen commit to refraining from publicly accusing one another of crab-bucketing. Players of the Minutemen retain the right to formally contest the legitimacy of the performances of Eagles players. Players of the Talonia Eagles retain the right to engage in unsolicited critical commentary directed at Minutemen players.

6.2 | The public relations teams of both franchises commit to supporting each other’s agendaposting efforts upon request.

6.3 | The public relations teams of both franchises commit to accurate representation of opposing players’ skill and shall not undervalue them on the basis of isolated performances in public.

6.4 | Should either franchise fold or be unable to field a full roster for a World Tour, its players are granted the ability to represent the remaining franchise for the duration of the event via temporary double citizenship.

6.5 | Minor disputes regarding the interpretation of this article shall be resolved by a best-of-7 scrimmage between both franchises with their strongest available squads, the outcome of which shall be considered binding.

6.6 | Moukden and Kirin and Gagium shall use matching skins during all World Tour games.

6.7 | The parties acknowledge the existence of clause 6.7.
