Strictly speaking, these nations here are Republics and in some nations seen as independent, however they are still part of those nations. These republics are places like South Ossetia.

These images are 100x75, unfortunately I can't put them into 107. Well, I can, but it'd require much more effort on Sumo Paint, and they'd be really blurry anyway, so unfortunately this is the best I can do. You don't have to add them either, obviously, just making suggestions!

Good evening everyone. It's nice to see that you are all enjoying the new flags. The flag bundle that I provided (supposedly) has:
  • Every current country (tried to dodge all the states with controversy / limited recognition, with the exception of Kosovo... because I liked the flag)
  • Portuguese autonomous regions
  • British overseas territories
  • British crown dependencies
  • Spanish autonomous communities
  • More dependency hell
I stopped when I noticed the USA state flags were next on the list.

Some flags were lost in the bit bucket, and I'm working to fix this.
Haiti's flag is done, the Tibet flag will be delivered as soon as I talk with the Dalai Lama. I think the Dalai Lama is a pretty cool guy. eh fights for freedom and doesnt afraid of anything...

tl;dr: Sealand will be made.

I have a few comments about the new flags. I noticed that you included the flags of a few islands which are not countries: Bonaire, Saba and Sint Eustatius. These are 3 of the 5 islands of the former Netherlands Antilles and are now a part of the Netherlands proper. Why are they included as flags? It's not like we have a seperate flag for French Guyana or other similar constructions?

The other 2 (Curacao and Sint Maarten) are countries and thus are nicely included

Any comments or thoughts about this, dear Moderators and others?

But these flags are so pretty...besides French Polynesia (Tahiti) has its own, and may I say stuning flag.

I also like the provencial flags from the Netherlands, especially Frisland it looks so happy and then there is many flags from the constituent republics of the Russian Federation and oblasts (Moscow's flag is pretty neat and imperial looking).

The more flags the merrier -- also flags no longer in use like the imperial flag of China would add to the varity available.

You can still upload them yourself for your country if you want it :)

For me the problem is that it's already tricky enough to figure out what a country is. Going one level lower and getting states, autonomous communities, provinces, islands and hand made flags by violet's grandmother will only make things more complicated.

Not even going into historical states, that's such a mixed bag with always a country being forgotten etc.

That's why personally I propose to remove the autonomous communities of Spain and Portugal from the list. As well as the 3 islands I mentioned in the OP(they are a public body, just like a dutch municipality is... I can give 400+ suggestions for new flags). Because before you know it, all kinds of flag requests to be added will be made and the list never ends (doh!).
The Blaatschapen should resign

Yeah, I thought it was strange seeing the Catalan and Euskadi flags on the list...

I'm just proud of my old Italian flag. The new one kinda sucks... I like the old vibrant shades.

Your government did that (PDF link). But I'll telegram you later a link to a silky flag with your colors.

Difference is, the new default flag has the correct colors for the flag of Real Life Italy. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italy
Hence the change.
