Procedural Notes:

The entry of N/A (Andso Mangis) was rejected since no proof of sporting merit was submitted.
The entry of Armada Kotr (Kanzlia) was rejected as their association did not submit evidence of scorination for two out of the final three rounds of their cup competition.
The resubmissions of Athos (Côte d'Saphir) and Fontvielle Impact (Valladares) were both accepted, on the condition that their associations submit their cup results according to Cup Winners' Cup regulations for next season. Failure to comply with this provision will result in the exclusion of their entries for next season.

Welcome one and all to the seventy-third edition of the Cup Winners' Cup, brought to you by the International Federation of Club Football or IFCF for short. This edition of the competition will see 45 clubs from 44 associations participate, with titleholders Montreal Koreana entering the competition despite not qualifying through Quebec and Shingoryeo's cup competition. With 45 clubs taking part in this edition, the titleholders as well as the cup winners from the top 18 ranked associations in the pre-IFCF 25 coëfficients received a bye to the first round proper, while the remaining 26 clubs will take part in the preliminary round with the thirteen winners advancing to join those 19 clubs in the following round.

Final Site Election

A single association (Valanora) expressed its interest in hosting this edition's final, and submitted its bid to the consideration of the Organizing Committee. Given that there was only one bid to be discussed and since most (if not all) of the Organizing Committee members (as well as the poor ~~exploited~~hired interns who rarely get to see sunlight) were already engaged in the merriment of the Christmas holidays, it was decided by acclamation that the seventy-third Cup Winners' Cup final will be played at Artani in Mar Sara, Valanora (cap. 74,000).

Defending champions RGS Athletic travel the short distance across New Lodger City to the Memorial Stadium, looking to become only the third side in the IFCF era to defend their Champions League title, and against them are the latest in the long line of Chromatik sides hoping to finally break the top-ranked association’s curse of bottling Champions League finals, following in the footsteps of Alnio, Tihon, and four time losers Chromatik. 90 minutes proved to be goalless, but Crossroads, winners of the 21st Challengers Cup, prevail in hostile territory to finally break the curse and win Chromatika’s first ever Champions League title.

Facing them will be another IFCF finalist debutant, 1912 Stelburg hoping to one-up their local rival Teussen Stelburg who lost the fourth Challengers Cup final over twenty seasons ago - Siovanija and Teusland have won one senior final in the LBCT, and another 2 wins and 1 loss in the Rising Stars Cup making up their list of finals appearances. Continuing the theme of low scoring matches, this again remains goalless in 90 minutes, but Myana strike hard and late to secure Chromatika’s fourth Challengers Cup title in 8 finals.

A rather fitting final for the 15th edition of the Associations Trophy, designed for the lower ranked associations to have a chance at a title. And in front of over 90 thousand fans in Valladares, it was Maharlika Marulas that secured their associations’ first title.

Facing them are the Fleftic representatives of Rosenpfelblatz City, marking their first ever appearance in any IFCF final, but Abanhfleft have won this competition before through Arsenal de Releinthi, and have a 100% win rate in IFCF finals with 3 wins from 3. And despite a spirited attempt from Alexia, it’s four wins from four for the Fleftics.

Notes for Cup Winners' Cup Entry

Each association may enter ONE club into the Cup Winners' Cup, with the exception of Quebec and Shingoryeo which may enter one club in addition to Montreal Koreana.
Should Montreal Koreana win their qualifying national association or league cup, the spot held over for a second Quebecois entrant will be vacated.
With the exception of Montreal Koreana, all entered teams must have won a national association or league cup; super cup winners and winners of play-offs cannot be entered. Cup winners cannot be replaced by other teams, either.
Clubs can only qualify through ONE domestic cup competition.
Associations with two or more cup competitions must choose which one of their cup competitions will award their Cup Winners' Cup berth to its winner. Play-off matches between cup winners to decide the qualifier will not be accepted.
For multiassociational cup competitions, only the cup winner is entitled to enter the Cup Winners' Cup. Associations taking part in such competitions that grant the winner qualification for the Cup Winners' Cup may not qualify clubs through a different cup tournament.
Each user may enter clubs from no more than two associations. Puppet nations must be declared upon entry.
Entrants must be posted in the International Domestic Soccer NewsWires (i.e. this thread), and at least the last three knockout rounds of the domestic cup tournament (i.e. quarterfinals, semifinals, and final) must have been scorinated and posted (with a link in the IDSN if it is posted elsewhere).
The deadline for Cup Winners' Cup entry will expire at the same time as the IFCF one.

Stadium bids for the final of the 74th edition of the Cup Winners' Cup are now being invited. Only stadiums with a minimum capacity of 30,000 people will be eligible to bid for the final, and bids should be posted in this thread with relevant details of the stadium and its facilities.

26th Champions League: The number of teams allowed is determined according to the association coëfficient ranking, with the following distribution:

Associations ranked 1–4 (Chromatika, Eastfield Lodge, Taxhavn, Valanora) are allowed to enter four teams.
Associations ranked 5–8 (Banija, Zwangzug, Kelssek, Pasarga) are allowed to enter three teams.
Associations ranked 9–32 (Darmen, Quebec & Shingoryeo, Siovanija & Teusland, Auprussia, The Kytler Peninsulae, Saint Eleanor, Katzeburg, Squornshelan Remnant States, Abanhfleft, Tikariot, Farfadillis, Flavovespia, Ko-oren, Valladares, Calgasia, Al-Tamazgha, Pyazhnaya, Estorvipa and Estorpiva, Saterun, Juvencus, Indusse, Kanzila, Carpathia and Ruthenia, and Aphrilia) are allowed to enter two teams.
Associations ranked 33 and below, and unranked associations, are allowed to enter one team.

Special considerations:

Crossroads (CMT) and Myana (CMT) are assured places in the Champions League group stage. If either fails to qualify through their domestic league, their association will receive an additional place. If either titleholder qualifies for the Challengers Cup, their Challengers Cup place will be vacated.
Shango-Fogoa Premier League: Has five places. Banija must enter at least two teams and Farfadillis must enter at least one.
All other multi-association leagues: Have two places, which must be filled by their two primary associations.

26th Challengers Cup: Every association is allowed to enter three teams. Multiassociational leagues with two primary associations may enter six teams, of which no more than four may be from the same association; associations ranked 1–4 must enter at least two teams each, and associations ranked 5–12 must enter at least one team each.

Maharlika Marlus (SFI) may be assured a place in the Challengers Cup group stage. If they fail to qualify through their domestic league, their association will receive an additional place. If they qualify for the Champions League group stage through domestic competition, their place in the Challengers Cup is vacated. If they qualify for the qualifying rounds of the Champions League through domestic competition, the club may choose to vacate its place in the Challengers Cup to do so. This choice must be clearly noted in the entry form, or by default the club will enter the Challengers Cup group stage.

26th Liga B Champions Trophy: Every association is allowed to enter three teams. Multiassociational leagues with two primary associations may enter six teams, of which no more than four may be from the same association.

26th Rising Stars Cup: Every association is allowed to enter one team. (The youth teams of clubs which reach the Champions League group stage be entered automatically. Multiassociational youth leagues with two primary associations may enter two teams, which must be from different associations.

Rosenpfelblatz City is assured a place in the Rising Stars Cup. If it does not qualify as champion of its domestic youth league, Abanhfleft will receive an additional place in the youth champions path. If its senior team qualifies for the Champions League group stage, it will enter the Champions League path instead.

FOR THE CYCLE ENDING AFTER IFCF 25

Procedural Notes:

There were 14 total entries, competing in 2 groups of four and 2 groups of three.
Starting with this season, knockouts will be seeded via Qusma seeding rather than randomly drawn.
The entries from Côte d'Saphir were resubmitted.
There were two bids to host the CAFA LigAnaia final. In a move protested by Martian representatives, the selection criteria chosen was "most duke". The CAFA LigAnaia 19 Final will be hosted in the National Stadium of the Grand Duchy, Newfort, Bostopia.

Future bids for host stadia will be taken into consideration, though the default in case of no bids will always be the stadium of Stade de Torgos in Torgos. A final reminder also that all Rushmori nations only (including any and all puppets) will be able to submit their league champions only (or top ranked team in the event of multi-associational leagues of more than one Rushmori nation) for entry into the next CdC; this includes puppet leagues that don't submit to IFCF. The submission period opened when the IFCF closed entries to the last IFCF tournaments, and will close again when the IFCF closes entries to the next IFCF tournaments. No invitations will be sent. You must indicate at the bottom of your league summary that you wish your league and cup champions to take part, and I take no responsibility for missing it if you've only shown it in your table.

Hoima Warriors battled through their partners in the league when going through both representatives from Farfadillis before besting St. John's Arsenal from Quebec in the semifinals to make the Final, where Raynor City United would be waiting in their home stadium having dodged a few upset attempts. In the battle between the two champions from the two best Arrosian leagues, it would be the Banija side who would emerge victorious and leave the home fans disappointed.

Entries into the next Hui Lā are now open and close when the IFCF deadline is posted. Entries must be the champions of an association and second entries must be the champions of the association's cup, or the highest placed club from the association in a multi-association league. If there is no cup or the league champion does the double, then the second entry should be allocated to second place in the league. All primary associations in Arrosia are entitled to two entries, besides Banija, who shall be granted a third entry if Hoima Warriors does not qualify through league or cup performance.

The representation in the League of Victors finals seems to repeat once again where clubs from Auprussia and Aphrilia seems to be competing against each other. Alexia is here for their second LoV final appearance after they were able to clinch the trophy in the last edition. Meanwhile, Aphrilia has a new representation from Darlingtown who is hoping to give a tough fight against the incumbent champions. Would Aphrilia be able to take the trophy away or is Alexia going to strengthen their power over the tournament?

As the finals of the Confederations Trophy is held at Calgasia once again, this time the opponents are both from one single nation. Taxhavn continue to assert their domination in FFI tournaments and this final is a clear proof to that. Standard Lily is here to keep their trophy as the incumbent champions whereas Taxhavn City in their first final appearance out to make history.

Standard Lily (TAX), as titleholders, will be given a direct entry into the Confederations Trophy, without taking up the association's entry slot. However, should Standard Lily (TAX) qualify for the League of Victors through league placement, its spot in the Confederations Trophy will be vacated and not carried forward.
Associations are encouraged to submit one finals site bid for either the League of Victors or Confederations Trophy final.
No Association is allowed to resubmit their entries for more than two seasons and entries without proper proof of merit will be rejected outright.

Welcome to Copa del Ganso 3! 32 clubs from 16 associations will compete in this edition of the tournament, featuring some of the very best and most historic clubs from around Rushmore, along with newcomers, underdogs, and those looking to make their mark on the future.

To reduce participating clubs' travel burden and promote international rivalries from nearby nations, these clubs have been divided into two separate geographic zones. Clubs will play all their matches against other clubs from the same zone until the final.

In the Pavola and Rose Sea Zone, 8 clubs will compete in the Preliminary Round, and 8 clubs will advance directly to the Hexagonal Round. In the Southern and Western Zone, 8 clubs will compete in the Preliminary Round, and 8 clubs will advance directly to the Hexagonal Round. Priority for byes to the Hexagonal Round goes initially to each association's first seed, then to second seeds, in order of associations' IFCF Cycle 24 rankings — the most recent rankings available ICly as of the tournament draw. If any association's first seed participates in the Preliminary Round, it will be seeded. All seeded clubs will host their second leg fixtures and may not be drawn against any other seeded clubs. All associations' second-seeded clubs will be unseeded. Additionally, no two clubs from the same association may be drawn against each other in the Preliminary Round.

Each group must contain three seeded teams, which will play three home fixtures, and three unseeded teams, which will play two home fixtures. Each association is eligible to enter top 4 of their final league positioned clubs.
Mansanduni Union (BIY) is assured place in the competition. If they fails to qualify through their domestic league, their association will receive an additional place.
Stadium bids for the final match are now being invited. Bidding is welcome to all stadiums seating a minimum of 25,000 spectators, bidding is encouraged to be detailed concerning amenities, features, et cetera.
In the event that no bids are presented, the selection will default to the stadium that hosts the latest CMFA Mandalanusa Cup final. Or otherwise selected internally by the scorinator.

How in the world does the Aphrilian football pyramid work, was a question asked.

Well, simple. Of course, it all starts at the very top with the Professional Pyramid, where Aphrilia's thirty six professional clubs compete against one another divided by three leagues. The Premiership being the top flight, The Championship being the middle half of the professional clubs, and The Standardship as the lowest rung. Two teams are promoted to the Premiership from the Championship and to the Championship from the Standardship, while two are demoted. But there is no demotion from the Standardship to a fourth tier, why is that one may ask? Very simple. The would be fourth tier where we officially enter the Semi-Professional Pyramid of the Aphrilian footballing system is currently known as the National League 1 (NL1), with a fifth tier known as The National League 2 (NL2). Each of the National Leagues consist of twenty four clubs, with eight each coming from every Aphrilian territory.

The landmasses known as Adellia and Cormorant, as well as the mainland continent of Eluwa in the form of Helastia. While the two leagues currently function similarly to the Professional Pyramid, some other things work differently. Although twenty four clubs are all competing against each other, the promotion and relegation system is where things become rather insane. Every club face off against each other twice, which results in a forty-six matchday league, but while they compete against one another to see who is champion, the clubs from the same territory are competing against themselves for promotion and relegation. With two promotion and relegation slots between the National League 1 and National League 2 provided for the eight clubs from every territory, every club is given the incentive to perform as well as possible. Why? For example, it doesn't matter if you finish fifteenth in the league table, for if you're one of the lowest two clubs from Cormorant on the table, you're going down.

As for the clubs that are relegated from the National League 2, this is where we enter the Regional Pyramid. There are also two divisions for each Aphrilian territory, all leagues consisting of sixteen clubs each. For Adellia, the two divisions are the Adellian Regional League First (ARL-F) and the Adellian Regional League Second (ARL-S). For the landmass known as Cormorant, they are the Cormorant Primary League (CPRL, not to be confused for any other existing entities that already go by the name of CPL) and the Cormorant Secondary League (CSCL, not to be confused for any other existing entities that already go by the name of CSL). And finally, for Hellastia, they are the Hellastia Erste Regionalliga (HER) and the Hellastia Zweite Regionalliga (HZR). And after that is where more grassroots football takes place, but that is a whole new chapter which is difficult to cover. And yes, cup competitions do indeed exist for these parts of Aphrilia's pyramid. However, when taking into consideration what I have just said, one may be asking. "Why is there no promotion and relegation between the National League 1 and The Standardship?" The simple answer is that it would, in theory, straight up break how the system works.

Indeed, NAFA as well as the Aphrilian Football Clubs Commission (AFCC) are looking into perhaps completely renovating the system from the ground up to perhaps allow a professional fourth tier of Aphrilian football to exist. Indeed, such a system is not fair especially for clubs within the Semi-Professional Pyramid that may be able to afford the higher expenses of entering professional football. But as of right now, there is no solution to the current problems and issues that persist. And even then, while NAFA and the AFCC are studying for potentially theoretical solutions, some clubs are also arguing that they have no need or desire to become professional, for one reason or another. Reasonable enough.
