The Kytler Peninsulae (KYP) Final Site Bid

IFCF Challengers Cup - Clituleng Giisost Stadium, Alaer (56,984)

Alaer - pronounced al-eye-AIR - is the largest city on the southern peninsula and the third largest in the country, with many of its 450,000 inhabitants being descendants of Vephra immigrants from the former Vircais (now Sabine and Caddonia). One of them is Clituleng Giisost. Not only the most famous manager of perennial Kytlerian soccer powerhouse FC Alaer, he is inarguably the most influential man in recent Kytlerian history - the sporting figure who became not just a politician, but the Prime Minister who led the country out of decades of sporting isolation. After being forced to resign following an epileptic seizure returning home from World Cup 97, Giisost has somehow become almost a living martyr, and FC Alaer's newly-built stadium was named after him.

The open corner at the heart of this design is partly a reflection of their old ground (which had a glass opening to one corner facing onto Alaer’s city streets) but also symbolic of Giisost’s legacy to the country. Having staged significant matches at both World Cup 98 and the subsequent Copa Rushmori, the venue is ready to once again open itself to the multiverse. Its notable features include adjustable-tint glass on the executive boxes, with one in particular being capable of blocking anything between 10% and 93% of light; this is the box assigned to Giisost himself, and stands right over the home dugout, his old domain before his political career.

Quebec and Shingoryeo (QUE) Site Bid

Arrosian Hui Lā: The Samseongoloondongjang (capacity: 82,500

Located in the Koreana District of eastern Songak, The Samseongoloondongjang is considered to be one of the holy grounds of Quebecois football. Built just over 154 years ago in 1909, and since then renovated and expanded no less than seven times in the club history, the home stadium of Montreal Koreana's footballing division is neither shiniest nor flashiest arena. There are fancier options like Stade-Lionel-Mah or The Reneegrad, or even Stade Commonwealth occupied by their rivals anyway. But for what they all lack, the 'Theatre of Midnight Dreams' does hold strong history and success in the ground, one where the Blue Devils have won 33 out of their 34 Q-League titles, and have most recently had strong IFCF runs including the Challengers Cup final and Champions' League semifinals. It is a rectangular stadium set to be given full renovation over the offseason and the first two months of the season with its particularly steep stands to be given safety reinforcements, the roofs to be updated, and the latest amenities to be added over the six-month period. The stadium has seen no shortage of international and club matches, with the most notable one being the World Cup 73 Final where Eura won 1-0 over Pasarga, and has also featured matches in the World Cups 75 and 77, as well.

The largest stadium in Doubeia in terms of capacity, the Stade de Pruxxé is a state-of-the-art stadium located in the luxurious city of Pruxxé, West Doubeia. Much like the city it is located in, the stadium exudes exuberance and flashiness. With flashes of gold and silver streaking the stadium's exterior, the luxurious interior design and furnishing, and the overpriced food, the Stade de Pruxxé is the epitome of opulence.

The Stade de Pruxxé is one of the more recent stadiums in the Doubeinese 1.League, but it is by no means forgettable. The home of Club de Pruxxé, one of Doubeia's most prominent and successful clubs, the Stade de Pruxxé is already a staple amongst many Doubeinese football fans, with many visiting it as a sort of rite of passage or a football pilgrimage. Still, it is a common opinion amongst Doubeinese fans that the Stade de Pruxxé is very artificial and manufactured much like its home team. Nevertheless, the stadium is the first of its kind in Doubeia, and that alone is enough to attract many Doubeinese to it, fans and non-fans alike. However, other than the stadium's large capacity and futuristic design, the stadium does not really offer much else for the fans' experience. However, its location in the shopping and gambling heart of Doubeia, means that visitors will certainly enjoy their time in Pruxxé.

• Resubmissions from Abanhfleft, Oberour ar Moro, Côte d’Saphir, Ralsalin, Katzeburg and Legalese were accepted. These associations must enter IFCF 24 on the basis of new results.
• The submission from Kamijiro (KMJ) was fortunate to be found despite being sent to the wrong address due to incorrect paperwork.
• The submission from Andso Mangis was rejected due to insufficient sporting merit.
• The IFCF has acknowledged the name change of Chippewa Valley United FC to Dovre United (DAR), and rankings are updated accordingly.
• Pyazhnaya are entitled to two Champions League places. Therefore FK Vselitamak (PYA) have been admitted to the Champions League, with Armada Sovran (PYA) admitted to the Challengers Cup.
• The entry of Dí Maozöxê (FFD) to the Challengers Cup was rejected as the team was also entered into the Champions League. Mâ Âlâmëómë (FFD) are admitted to the Challengers Cup in their stead.

Representatives from Saterun and Kelssek were invited to the IFCF HQ to present the merit of their bids in person. After fifty rounds of questions, the representative from Kelssek was the only one still alert, thusly the Stadium of the Workers (Cap. 66,700) in Neorvins, Kelssek was awarded the hosting rights.

Final site selection
Three associations submitted bids for the Challengers Cup final. The bidding parties were invited to one of the IFCF Eastfielder committee members’ houses, where they were met by a very aggressive kitten who needed to be fed. After several hours and even more bites and cat scratches, only one party managed to successfully feed the cat, and so the Challengers Cup final will be held at Stade de Pruxxé, Pruxxé, Doubeia (cap. 87,154).

Two final sites were submitted for the combined Liga B Champions Trophy and Rising Stars Cup finals package. The two bidding parties were made to prepare a deck of Maxémon cards, and pitted against each other at the IFCF building in Equestria. After three gruelling rounds of misplays, rubbish dice rolls and an unlikely series of heads, the Paradystopi contingent emerged victorious, and so the LBCT and RSC finals will be held at Soggybottom, New Newetoun, Paradystopia (cap. 25,000).

The 13th Associations Trophy

Final site selection
Two sites were submitted to host the final of the Associations’ Trophy. The IFCF Chromatika Committee hosted both bidding teams, and set them the task of writing a strongly worded letter to the World Assembly to secure more funding for the IFCF. Neither team managed to actually secure any funding, but after three weeks of waiting, the Banijan delegation were the first to receive a letter of condolence. The final will therefore be hosted at Mavuto Field, Hoima, Banija (cap. 75,000).

EDIT 1: Parkside CS (EXT) added to RSC Youth Champions path. Draegynsreim United (DHE) replaces one of the duplicates of Columbus Constrictors (DHE); Draegynsreim were randomly drawn to be unseeded as their seeding hit the 2.000 tiebreak, and then randomly drawn to replace one of the duplicates.

Chromatika return to the Champions League for a second consecutive attempt at finally winning the top international club competition, having gone 0 from 5 in their previous appearances as an association, although this is Tihon’s first final appearance in any international club final in either the UICA or the IFCF era. In contrast, Pasargan side CA Paulinthal have tasted success before, winning the 7th Challenger Cup which they followed up with their and Pasarga’s only appearance in the Champions League or Champions Cup final, being humbled 5-1 by Cazadores Cathair. No such problem for them this time however, as CA Paulinthal win their and Pasarga’s first ever Champions League title, and putting Chromatika’s record up to 0-6.

It’s a first ever appearance for Juven sides in the final of any of the UICA/IFCF international club competitions, and FC Piluzzi will be looking to impress against a team that has been on this stage in the distant past, as Darmen’s Scott City make their first finals appearance since losing the 54th Globe Cup final way back when. Darmen as an association have also never won any of the seniors finals, Chuckio FC in the 45th Globe Cup final marking their only other final appearance. Nonetheless, some ancient experience must have shined through, as Scott City right the wrongs of the past to win their maiden Challengers Cup title.

Facing them are one of three finalists from Saint Eleanor this cycle, an association that prior to this season had only ever appeared in the 20th Rising Stars Cup (where Eleanorian Academy lost) - Hiyashi Celestia however do prevail to make Saint Eleanor break their IFCF trophy duck.

Here, they face another Saint Eleanorian side in Golden Unicorn, making that association’s debut in finals of the second tier international club competition. However, there’s no second trophy for Saint Eleanor, Chromatika having the consolation prize of joining Pasarga and Banija as the winningest associations in LBCT history.

The third and final Saint Eleanor representative this season is Parkside CS, feeder for Occidental Olympic, as they seek to avenge the defeat of Eleanorian Academy three editions prior. Their opponents are an association which only made their IFCF debut this cycle, The Osnari Federation becoming the first debuting finalists in a long time courtesy of Lockeweiler’s U19 side. And the fairytale was completed, Lockeweiler winning the Rising Stars Cup in their first ever attempt.

Procedural Notes:

• The entry of SC Oldetoun New Newetown (Paradystopia) was rejected since they qualified through a post-season play-off competition. The Cup Winners' Cup Organizing Committee wishes to remind every association interested in entering the CWC that no teams may qualify through post-season play-offs, super cups or play-off matches between cup winners.
• The entry of - (Ko-oren) was rejected as the aforementioned club did not win a domestic cup competition.
• The resubmissions of Sporting Ceneisis (Abanhfleft), SC Ralsalien Circus (Ralsalin), and Torture United (Legalese) were all accepted, on the condition that their associations submit their cup results according to Cup Winners' Cup regulations for next season. Failure to comply with this provision will result in the exclusion of their entries for next season.
• Regium United (Oberour Ar Moro) and Silverwood (Côte d'Saphir) were accepted as resubmissions instead of the originally entered Celeritas and Ixion, who had been submitted for IFCF competitions over two years ago. The same provisions for resubmission will apply to both associations for next season.
• Athletic Saint Eleanor were entered into the competition as winners of Saint Eleanor's cup competition instead of the originally entered Occidental Olympic.

Welcome one and all to the seventy-first edition of the Cup Winners' Cup, brought to you by the International Federation of Club Football or IFCF for short. This edition of the competition will see 41 clubs from 40 associations participate, with titleholders Raynor City United entering the competition despite not qualifying through the Vanorian cup competition. With 41 clubs taking part in this edition, the titleholders as well as the cup winners from the top 22 ranked associations in the pre-IFCF 21 coëfficients received a bye to the first round proper, while the remaining 18 clubs will take part in the preliminary round with the nine winners advancing to join those 23 clubs in the following round.

Final Site Election

With only one association (Siovanija and Teusland) expressing its interest in hosting this edition's final and submitting its bid to the consideration of the Organizing Committee, the decision was thought to be rather straighforward. However, some members of the Organizing Committee still wanted to have some fun involved in the election and summoned representatives from the single bid in contention to a place deep into the Valladar mountains, where they would have the mission to find evidence of the presence of the elusive Valladar spectacled bear (which could come in the form of footprints, photos, fur, food or any thing that could convince the OC executives that such animal was around the place) within three days, or else the venue selection would default to a stadium in Valladares. Also, to make things even more interesting, false evidence was also released or placed around the place to confuse the "explorers" and delay their progress. However, the representatives from the Siovanija and Teusland FA were able to emerge out of the forest in the nick of time with a photo of a spectacled bear climbing a tree whose authenticity was certified by an expert, meaning that the seventy-first Cup Winners' Cup final will be played at Mollin Park in Felsenkirchen, Siovanija and Teusland (cap. 60,000).

Congratulations to Sporting Jaglan, who after proving to be the only side able to put the handbrake on the seemingly unstoppable Raynor City United in the semi-finals, eventually became the first club from the Squornshelan Remnant States to win the Cup Winners' Cup after prevailing in a hard-fought match against Chromatika's Myana who also wanted to become the first club from their country to take the trophy home.

Notes for Cup Winners' Cup Entry

• Each association may enter ONE club into the Cup Winners' Cup, with the exception of Squornshelan Remnant States which may enter one club in addition to Sporting Jaglan.
• Should Sporting Jaglan win their qualifying national association or league cup, the spot held over for a second Squornshelan entrant will be vacated.
• With the exception of Sporting Jaglan, all entered teams must have won a national association or league cup; Super Cup winners and winners of play-offs cannot be entered.
• Clubs can only qualify through ONE domestic cup competition.

• Entrants must be posted in the International Domestic Soccer NewsWires (i.e. this thread), and at least the last three knockout rounds of the domestic cup tournament (i.e. quarterfinals, semifinals, and final) must have been scorinated and posted (with a link in the IDSN if it is posted elsewhere).
• The deadline for Cup Winners' Cup entry will expire at the same time as the IFCF one.

• Associations ranked 1–4 (Chromatika, Quebec & Shingoryeo, Taxhavn, Valanora) are allowed to enter four teams.
• Associations ranked 5–8 (Pasarga, Kelssek, Eastfield Lodge, Zwangzug) are allowed to enter three teams.
• Associations ranked 9–32 (Squornshelan Remnant States, Darmen, Saint Eleanor, Tikariot, Ko-oren, Banija, Farfadillis, Abanhfleft, Siovanija & Teusland, Mytanija, The Kytler Peninsulae, Auprussia, Juvencus, Katzeburg, Flavovespia, The 14 Stars, Tumbra, Al-Tamazgha, Geektopia, Yuezhou, Pyazhnaya, Valladares, Baker Park, Saterun) are allowed to enter two teams.
• Associations ranked 33 and below, and unranked associations, are allowed to enter one team.

Special considerations:

• CA Paulinthal (PAS) and Scott City FC (DAR) are assured places in the Champions League group stage.
