Vikings playing at my local stadium is cool. shame i already have tickets for a football (soccer) game on the other side of the country. rarely get NFL out here in England, and that too at a suitable time.

also would it be outlandish to believe that minnesota can carry this on for the rest of the season and possibly challenge the 49ers and the Lions for the chance to face of against the Chiefs in the super bowl.

It would not be outlandish. As things stand now, the Vikings are the best team in the NFC (and we beat the Niners), and this is on paper the hard part of our schedule. While we'll probably choke before we get a ring, this is the part of the year where any true Vikings fan is full of cautious optimism, and is cheering "I'm ready to get hurt again!"

It would not be outlandish. As things stand now, the Vikings are the best team in the NFC (and we beat the Niners), and this is on paper the hard part of our schedule. While we'll probably choke before we get a ring, this is the part of the year where any true Vikings fan is full of cautious optimism, and is cheering "I'm ready to get hurt again!"

So. Those new on-sides kick rules are a bit more elaborate than we all thought. Especially when combining it with the free kick from the 20 after a safety has been given up.
