Please no fever. That will be uncool.

Can’t blame you. Other than Chicago, there isn’t much worth anyone’s time. And Chicago ain’t all that, either. IMO.

I mean if your really bored of Chicago there is Peoria or Springfield but in Peoria you are def gonna get shot and Springfield sucks balls

You just enjoy the sound of the Is. Admit it.

Not sure what possibly could lead you to assume that. :p I haven't a clue.

Illinois is a good place to visit, at least Chicago is. But the weather. I don’t know what happened. It is 90 degrees and there’s a thunderstorm, what god did I anger for this to happen? My weather app currently has 8 severe weather alerts: 3 severe thunderstorm warnings, 1 excessive heat warning, 1 severe thunderstorm watch, a lakeshore flood advisory, and 2 air quality alerts.

My power will probably go out some point soon, just based on the winder and weather right now.

Yeesh, that sounds rough. I did Chicago in the autumn (not this autumn, but one a few years back) and it was perfect. I wish I could have brought it back home with me. Sounds like that has changed since, however...

I have an objection about mid-Western states. Never had a good time there so I’m biased.

Illinois has:
- The tallest building in America. No, New Yorkers, having a really tall antenna is not a building.
- the Great Lakes Naval Station, which just so happens to be the Navy’s only boot camp.
So yeah, naval training might be a little screwed without us.
- historical contributions — look at the Chicago World’s fair. I sure hope you don’t need to climb up multistory buildings, because that gave you elevators. Other notable contributions include the Ferris Wheel, as well as zippers for those who enjoy wearing clothes.
- McDonald’s. Founded in Illinois. Possibly the most well-known fast food chain in the world. Is that unremarkable?

I’d go on, but that would require more research than just thinking of things off the top of my head. Notable attractions that I didn’t put much research into would be the Chicago Botanic Gardens, Navy Pier, as well as various universities.

I was going to say Idaho's State Capitol until I realized more or less every U.S. state has that...

Freak Street Gallery in Boise is pretty neat. Still, Wynwood in Florida takes the cake there.

You lot have a cool civil rights memorial thing, but it is in grave disrepair.

Idaho does also have a fair few state and art museums worth checking out, but, again, not really exclusive to Idaho...

I hear Coeur d'Alene is beautiful, so I will have to check that out some time.

Ah, I got it: The old state penitentiary was a very worth-while visit. That would probably land gold for me.

The down-town Boise area was generally very nice, and I very much enjoyed the dry heat, surprisingly. I would visit again, probably.

First elevator was Archimedes, he predates chicago.

Best thing about Chicago is mrs O'Leary's cow , second best is the bears, and the architecture isn't bad. That's about it

Should I have specified the first elevator that can lift people and is electrically powered? By all means, you can use a water powered irrigation system to go up your apartment building. I’m sure that will really be comfortable and fast.

The New Yorkers built a really tall antenna for the top of their building. With no antennas, the Sears Tower is taller.

Why don't you just put a bigger antennae on the Sears Tower?

There’s a reason Chicago’s called the Windy City…
Also because we’re not petty, unlike New Yorkers. I wish I could say I expected better of them, but, you know… (/hj)
