Because TETism was taken too far - it's mentioned in brief spurts from time to and and it should stay that way or not be mentioned at all. Bringing in something else could lead to increases in spam, which irritates old people like Ethel and I.

I don't really have a problem with 'em, if my sig broke I'd probably find a way to fix it. In my opinion sigs make posts more fun and depending on how good you are at BBCode (unlike me) they can look pretty awesome, especially on forum sites that have less regulations on them.
