This seems to contradict your earlier post where you said that the truce where people could live their own lives was destroyed by 'wokeness' and 'cancel culture.' But maybe trying to read your posts for consistency and a coherent position was a mistake.

I was referring to the part where you resort to calling anyone who disagrees with your position a “reactionary”.

This argument of “I’ll leave you alone and you’ll leave me alone” worked a few years ago. Now, in the age of wokeness and cancel culture, we so-called “reactionaries” (read: people who don’t want their taxpayer dollars going to strippers preforming in front of their children) are at risk and fighting back.

I don’t give 83 fucks if social and religious conservatives disagree with my “lifestyle”. I just don’t want them to force their shit on me. Their approval is neither desired nor required.

I only called you a reactionary. If you have a coherent position beyond 'gays bad' we're all waiting with baited breath to see it.

The mindset of willingness to enter into a sexual relationship with another that will not contribute to the survival of society is reflective of a certain luxury that wasn’t previously available during, at risk of sounding stereotypical, “the good old days”.

I think religious conservatives are the grand champions of “othering” and ostracizing LGBT people when looking at history before the last 20-25 years.

Of course I do. A return to European colonialism, the destruction of Germany, renewed focus on the military, restoration of House Bonaparte, etc.

Not necessarily. It’s just that religious conservatives don’t have the power and influence that they used to have, and now that they can’t force their lifestyle choice on others, they get pissed off and bitchy

I don’t agree, no. Just because people are not sharing religious conservatives viewpoints on homosexuality and transgenderism doesn’t mean they’re being “oppressed”. People are mocking their religion? Suck it up.

1. Ah yes, because eating more than bread or potatoes directly leads to obesity. The fact of the matter is that the majority of the world's population isn't obese
2. There's a large difference between a person and their family moving to a colony to establish a new home and me going abroad for two weeks every year
3. The first university was founded in 1088. Doesn't mean that it was accessible. Most of the population wouldn't gain access to higher education until after the Second World War.

Indeed. They're beginning to understand that "live and let live" was a mistake. And it confuses them (that's the bitchiness you're noticing). Religious conservatives thought that if they accepted the new rules of a NeUtRaL arbiter for justice, everyone could profit. They failed to recognize the snake in the garden. That's one thing I genuinely like about the contemporary Left... they understand that you cannot stop wielding the power once you've grabbed it. A single exception, when made, becomes an exploit that can be broadened.

Shit, I feel ostracized by the LGBT community. The difference is that I’m a member of this community, for better or for worse. Religious conservatives like to walk into our spaces, and tell us we’re perverts and we’re going to hell. Should members of our Community walking to the spaces of religious conservatives and start lecturing them, I don’t think so. But religious conservatives shouldn’t cry a river if they’re told to fuck off by members of our community if they try to proselytize in our spaces.
