About Belnegau:
Belnegau is a smallish principality located in the eastern part of the Holy Roman Empire, bordering Meissen, Thuringia, and the Vogtlands. In Belnegau, the year is currently 1338, the High Middle Ages. (Though Belnegau itself is entirely fictional, I keep it within the context of real historical events in RPs) An overwhelming majority of Belnegauers are German-speaking Roman Catholic Christians, though there is a small minority of crypto-pagans who secretly keep the old Wendish ways and languages alive.

These are strange times in Belnegau. In the south, the rebel peasants and pagans have been driven from the strongholds they had taken, but have fled into the hills and forests. There they hide in secret camps, plotting murder and despoilment across these lands no doubt. The summer campaigning season nears its end, and the main part of Landgraf Hartwig's forces are thus engaged in hunting the rebels in the south. With him, as is fitting, are the knights of his household, the armored fist of his army. But these same men for several years now have also represented Lord Hartwig and the lands of Belnegau at the Independent Championship. No man can be in two places at once. How then, to honor Lord Hartwigs twin obligations, to defend his lands and people against evil, and to send fitting representatives to show the excellence of our football?

Salvation shall come, it seems, from an unexpected quarter. Two years heretofore, to secure the loans needed to fund the war against the rebels, Lord Hartwig granted a charter to the town of Mühlenfurt to form its own sporting union and hold football matches. Therefore, while the knights busy themselves in the art of warfare, it shall be left to the now practiced commoners of Mühlenfurt to to battle upon the fields of Poafmersia.

Nation: Montaña Verde
Trigram: MVE
Adjective/demonym: Verdean
Team nickname: Condors

Coach: Tesira Jauna Barragán (46)
Assistant coach: Edelberto Romero Gutiérrez

Tesira Barragán becomes the first female coach in the history of the FMVdF. Also new is her assistant coach, though the name may ring familiar: it's Edelberto, who captained the first Condors side to compete in the World Cup. Whether this new change of personnel -- the Condors have now had more coaches than they have won IAC playoff matches -- will change the fortunes of Verdean fútbol however remains to be seen. Tesira Barragán is a former player with Calequén and known more for cultivating young talents than working well with veterans; hopefully Edelberto's presence will soothe any injured egos on the part of the older players she may look to move on. Tactically flexible and hands-off in training, she prefers to observe and won't often be seen remonstrating with players -- but will have plenty of words for officials should decisions not go her team's way.

Squad: It can generally be assumed the players number 1 – 11 will start, 12 – 26 be matchday squad reserves; but there will be a certain amount of rotation. So long as you’re sensible and unless I’ve RPed otherwise, you can RP my team lineup with some variation.
 • Men and women play together in Montaña Verde. To avoid pronoun confusion, female players are marked in pink.
 • The league is fairly new as a result of restructuring following independence, but many of the clubs date back decades and have entrenched traditions and rivalries.
 • Fútbol is a tremendously popular sport in the country, rivalling Catholicism for the national religion, but limited overseas exposure means the standard is not especially high.
 • Speaking of not being especially high, Montaña Verde is one of the shortest [human] populations in the world. While there are one or two tall players, in general men and women are very short.
 • Players are not egregiously dirty in terms of violence or deliberate fouling, but enjoy a good tactical dive now and then.
 • The bolded name or “nickname” should be used when referring to players and staff.
 • All players are domestic unless otherwise stated. While I normally conduct transfers through the Transfer Window, if you wish to sign one of my players they are usually available, especially if it links to an RP arc. Send a TG/DM to ask.

Goalkeepers:

1. Moises Luque (27) – Deportivo Zaracas
12. Benito Venegas “Ingeniero” (26) – Santa Margarita Riopel
23. Nora Paz Yepes (27) – Olimpia La Limana

Moises retains the numero uno jersey and there's no recall for fan favorite Dolfo, now rather fading from memory. None of the keepers in this batch are especially tall, but all are decent shot-stoppers. Moises and Ingeniero can play the ball out with their feet well.

Right backs:

2. Luisa Ocampo “Carabalava” (30) – Deportivo Zaracas
14. Maximiliano Rasgado Palau (27) – Image Schudvík

A left-field pick on the right flank as Carabalava jumps Maximiliano, generally considered the more technically proficient, to start. A true wing-back who has pace and crossing ability, she has a tendency to drift from his marker and isn't the most physically imposing, but she is genuinely two-footed and loves to take aggressive shots with her left after cutting inside. Maximiliano, a more conventional defensive option, continues as back-up.

Left backs:

6. Juan Diego Lucián Juderías (32) – Olimpia La Limana
16. Jimena “Esteriña” Alonso (23) – Calequén

Juderías is a very experienced and reliable defender who will never let the team down, but will have to play well to keep his place ahead of Esteriña, whose blazing pace and amazing free-kick skills have endeared her to Verdean fans fast in her rapid ascent. She is probably too raw to start but she has a lot to offer as an impact substitute.

Center backs:

3. Adriana Monserrat del Pozo (26) – Scunthorpe de Puyevier
4. Armando “Mandito” Curbelo Rodríguez (29) – América de Santa Margarita de Yacuija – Vice-Captain
13. Sebastián Gayoso Cambeiro (28) – Calequén
21. Valentín “Tíntín” del Pozo (26) – Image Olympique Isbècque
26. Jael Gamez Lira “Jaime” (19) – Calequén

Adriana began her career as a left-back; her versatility and creativity are impressive, but the real reason she's been put in central defence is because she is relatively tall by Verdean standards, which is incredibly rare. Despite their defensive prowess Mandito and Cambeiro are both short and that combination has just been exposed too many times. Tíntín, a super defender with quiffed up hair, is another one who is very short. Jaime impressed his coach at Calequén with his tackling, pace, and ability to reach the top shelf.

Holding midfielders:

5. Marcos “Coco” Fernán (29) – Image Kingsbury United
8. Naomí Schutzán (26) – Image Chenoworth Harriers
15. Israel Pardo Ureña (24) – Santa Margarita Riopel
24. Cristobal Elizondo “Cristo” Díaz (32) – Image Ezriquay United FC

No real change here at what has emerged as the team's strength. Schutzán is a fabulous long deep-lying playmaker with wonderful vision and passing ability, Coco the more traditional destroyer though he’s very capable with the ball at his feet and isn’t just an enforcer. Cristo Díaz is a hard working presser who’ll run himself box-to-box offloading short passes and putting in the physical touch needed, and is just about the most experienced player on the team now. Israel is another traditional defensive midfielder, tough-tackling and very fit, less skilled at distribution.

Attacking midfielders:

10. Thomás “Primitivo” Ceballos Cantú (32) – Image Kingston FC – Captain
11. Aramis Navarro Najera (29) – Image CSKA Quebec
17. Ezequiel “Zico” Rodríguez Villareal (21) – Deportivo Launia
19. Absalom Covarrubias (23) – Universidad de Montaña Verde
20. Morgana Carrillo Munguia (24) – Deportivo Zaracas
25. Voltaire Hernandez (21) – Image Liria Prizren

The attacking half of the midfield also stays the same, with two of the Condors' best players still going fairly strong in the Q-League. Aramis will tend to drift into a central role, distributing and bringing the ball forward to open up rapid attacks, and is capable of playing a physical role, slotting in just behind Primitivo. There’s nothing “primitive” about the play of the midfield general. Bigger than most of his teammates, his strong physicality can be deceptive as he has a silky touch off both feet. And watch out for his wicked curling strikes if there’s a free-kick in the vicinity of goal. Zico is more of a true winger who has a great turn of speed but doesn't score as many goals as his silky play would suggest he should, and Covarrubias is another wide player with speed and energy, if not always direction on his crosses. Morgana is a good, busy playmaker who's strong on the ball but lacks a bit of creative flair in the final third. Her quirky attitude has quickly endeared her to her teammates. The most exciting talent on the roster is the mysterious Voltaire Hernandez, an enigmatic talent who’s burst onto the scene only in the last season but has yet to really establish himself in Mytanija.

Forwards:

7. Hector “Halcón” Alarcón (24) – Image AOPIC Greens
9. Clementino Ezequiel “Tino” Velásquez Casares (29) – Image Straton FC – 3rd Captain
18. Othello Rojo Orellana (23) – Caralanian Caralania
22. Semarias “Monaguillo” Veliz (27) – Olimpia La Limana

Halcón is a fearsome poacher; Tino a more complete forward but primarily a goal-scorer without much interest in assisting others; Monaguillo a pacy winger; and new addition Othello a sort of mini-Osito, not quite as big as the famed striker but in this time standing a head above anyone else and thus the default target at set-pieces.

Free-kicks: Primitivo, Schutzán, Tino

RP permissions:

You may RP or godmode any footballing event. You may choose scorers, assign cards, etc.

Events that will end a player’s participation in a match (e.g. red card, injury, exit pursued by a bear) are permitted.

Events that will end a player’s participation in future matches (e.g. flagrantly illegal or immoral action that would clearly lead to suspension, serious injury or death, running off to join the circus) are not permitted.

Please do not use photographs and say they represent my characters. However, this is how I intend to RP. If you do not want me to make pictures of your players please let me know!

Otherwise, go nuts.

TEAM HISTORY
At long last, the Elite Eleven have been catapulted into the sun, far far away from the Kick Corps. Now, a "real" form of the Kick Corps is back. There's bound to be some growing pains, but all of these players are elite athletes who've been plying their trade in the DLK and abroad for the past few years. Now that the national team is back to normal, they finally have a chance to don the black and red and compete for their nation. A few familiar faces, freshened by the gift of immortality, have returned. Some of this team has international experience playing in the Brevity Cup, and many others are making their international debut. Due to her familiarity with Corps play (and no small amount of "aggressive persuasion"), former Corps player/immortal warrior/co-founder of Drawkland/elf Ellzidan will serve as the manager, at least for this cycle.
Drawkian soccer, and indeed, sporting in general, is mostly offensive-minded. This is reflected in the style indicator and in the formation. Drawkian soccer has not really been exposed to outside influences, and thus may look or feel strange to those used to "normal" football. Nevertheless, the players are still good at what they do, and prize in an enduring game, moving the ball around nearly constantly and keeping energy going, aiming to tire out the opposing team. Of course, Drawkians aren't humans, but you can read about that elsewhere. Drawkian Soccer is a female-only sport. This is because Gridiron Football is all-male, and the other two major sports, Baseball and Basketball, are mixed-gender. If there's anything a Drawkian loves, it's even formats and symmetric paradigms, hence why things shook out like they did.

Godmod Injuries to my Players: Yes

As far as these go, I'm fair game for anything. You should know what is and isn't drastic RP, and if you think your RP is on the drastic side, TG me first. But I'm still basically up for anything.
I'd like to request that injuries or cards don't do anything outside of the scope of a single game or maybe 2. Don't want anything tournament or cycle-ending.

Head Coach: Lu Jialan (YZH)
Assistant Head Coach: Jabik Henderson
General Playing Style: With a new nation, comes new strategies. While Lu intends to keep the Poafmersian attitute of relying on mistakes by the opposition to counterattack, and being aggressive in getting back the ball, he has indicated an emphasis on defence being key to the team's successes in the Cup of Harmony and beyond. Preferring a strict 4-3-3 formation with the fullbacks playing wider up the field, Lu will stick to a 4-3-3 formation for the tournament. Utilising the team's strengths in counter-attack, the team will make a focus on defending the ball and keeping the possession before catching opponents napping during their break.

Fans
Poafmersian fans are crazy about football, and their loud cheers ring about in the stadiums they visit. They are very willing to disturb the peace in the area to celebrate their win after matches, so matches are best held in the afternoon or early evenings. You can spot Poafmers booking large meeting rooms in hotels, going to bars in groups. Apart from that, they do pick up after themselves, and prevent causing much trouble apart from celebrating. You can be assured, however, that they would be travelling around to support their team, so do reserve half the spots in stadiums for them because they would pack it to the brim.

Home Stadium
For the entire duration of the qualifiers, Poafmersia will be playing their home games at the Libira National Stadium. To accommodate a rising interest in football, there was a slight layout change and stand refurbishment being done prior to the qualifiers, and as such, the stadium capacity has been increased to 70 thousand seated pax. The stadium is located in Fiskadaha City, capital of Poafmersia. To travel to the city, direct flights are provided from many major capital cities around the world. Within Poafmersia, however, public transport, such as trains and buses, are the preferred mode of transport, and there are rail lines available between Fiskadaha and many major cities in the country.

Maraonia kickstarted their IAC 19 campaign with a 3-3 draw over Sudilia at the Offsdi Stadium. It kicked off with the first goal from Sèbastien Grosjean. The 25 year old scored the first goal of Maraonia’s IAC 19 campaign. Then 2 more goals from Federico Martinez got it away. But Sudilia shocked the Maraonians by scoring 3 more just before the end. Meanwhile all other matches in Maraonia’s group all ended in draws with the same score 3-3. Maraonia will play Sajnur next in Matchday 2.

Football-struggling coach Stevencousin, Mystic promises a new, high-intensity style of play

Football coach Stan Mystic, who has been facing various challenges and criticisms recently, promises a new and exciting playing style for his team, Stevencousin. Determined to change the tide and bring positive changes, Mystic is ready to implement a high-intensity approach to the game. Recognizing the need for a fresh perspective, Mystic has been tirelessly working behind the scenes to revamp the team's strategy. He has studied current tactics and analyzed his players' strengths and weaknesses to develop a playing style that will maximize their potential.

Mystic's new approach focuses on a fast and attacking style of play. He believes that by using this strategy, Stevencousin will be able to put pressure on their opponents, control the game, and create scoring opportunities. This high-intensity playing style will not only entertain the fans but also ensure that the opposing teams are always on their toes. Mystic has led his team through 40 games, recording a 45% overall win rate, better than the previous head coach, who only recorded a 36.67% win rate from the 30 games he led

To prepare his team for this new playing style, Mystic has been focusing on physical and mental adjustments. He has conducted rigorous training sessions that emphasize speed, agility, and endurance. Additionally, he has worked closely with the team's sports psychologists to enhance their mental resilience and focus, ensuring they are fully prepared to handle the intensity of the game. Mystic's commitment to change goes beyond tactics on the field. He has also emphasized the importance of team unity and communication. By fostering a positive and cohesive team environment, he hopes to foster a sense of solidarity and collaboration among his players, ultimately leading to improved performance on the field.

The Liamotian Football Team scored a victory against the Quintessence of Dust in a scoreline of 3-1. The Quintessence of Dust were holding a lead of 0-1 into the first half, but Liamot bounced back, with the duo of Kade King and Derek Parker scoring 3 goals in the final 30 minutes. This shows a promising start for Liamot in the Independents Cup 19, especially since this is their first international football match. The fans back in Liamot are hoping for them to go 2 for 2 as they prep for the upcoming match against Belnegau, which will prove to be quite the match.

Adab Battle Back to Draw Against Indusse

Adab’s Independent Associations Championship Group F campaign in Poafmersia began with a near-disaster as the team fell behind by two goals in under twenty minutes against a valiant Indusse side, but nevertheless managed to secure a hard-fought draw at the end on the back of goals by Kastiliasu Akaptaha, Nadje Barzani, and Enlilbani Yargab.

Goblin Grundjee, Indusse’s first-ever non-human sportsperson, opened the scoring for the visitors in the seventh minute, when an uncharacteristic mistake by Adab keeper Satchit Chandrasekar in the box as he attempted to clear the ball away sent the ball right back to the waiting Grundjee, who took his chance and netted the ball with a powerful strike.

Just twelve minutes later, Indusse’s young star Antonio Mersiás doubled the team’s lead with a tap-in off Mahadev Bhattacharya’s assist. Adab’s back line was left in the dust as Bhattacharya swept past with relative ease, much to the jubilation of the Flocking Blues – as Indusse’s fanbase is commonly known – and freeing himself up for the pivotal pass to Mersiás after Shania Enmerkar committed a misstep and nearly slipped while attempting to intercept Bhattacharya.

As the first half wore on Adab began to push back and gained an increasing share of the possession, but their opponents held on. Kastiliasu Akaptaha’s golden chance in the 39th minute was saved only by the heroics of Indusse keeper Jahangir Shehzad. Shehzad was a highlight of the match, making several great saves as well as helping to build up Indusse’s attack from the back with his precisely-timed passes.

Aiming to inject more energy into his team, Adab manager Saad Kaykali made changes for the second half, with Adnan al-Tikriti and Kayla Kassaya emerging onto the pitch in place of Tansu Altun and Sally Thomas. Enlilbani Yargab and Ephraim Orlev, the squad’s two oldest players, remained on the bench after Kaykali briefly considered introducing them, with the manager putting his trust in the younger players to take care of business.

Kaykali’s faith paid off eight minutes into the second half, as Akaptaha struck the ball into the top-right corner of the net off an Amara Emmita corner. Emma Arthur and Alulim Sinmuballit, who had struggled to find their rhythm throughout the first half, settled into the match and increasingly dominated duels with Indusse midfielders Bhattacharya and Djetson Hazle.

Adab center-forward Nadje Barzani, who had been kept relatively quiet for much of the first half, appeared energized in the second half and tied the game for the Adabians in the 74th minute with an immaculate left-footed strike, sending Adab supporters in the stadium into delirium.

The momentum now appeared to be shifting to them, but Rahul B Kumar produced the latest of his many moments of excellence just nine minutes later, stealing the Sarrugi Akshak just outside the box before turning and sending the ball in with a clinical finish. Suddenly the Indusseans were back in the lead with seven minutes to go in the second half, and Adab had to once fight to prevent all three points from slipping away.

The savior came in the 85th minute. Rebekah Yissakar, who did not play her best match, was pulled out and Barzani directed to pull back and cover the right wing. Replacing Barzani as center-forward, Kaykali ushered in one of the greatest names in Adabian football. At 47, Enlilbani Yargab now works best in short bursts rather than over an entire match, but still remains a menacing presence whenever he is on the pitch.

In the 89th minute, making yet another push at the Indusse defense, Arthur’s cross found a waiting Yargab inside the box. Yargab launched his head against the ball – and Shehzad crumbled to the ground as the header found the back of the net to make it 3-3.

The Adab players know they will have to play better in their upcoming matches, but for now a draw will suffice. Yargab’s was the last chance at goal by either team, and at full time they left the pitch sharing one point each. Overall it seems to be the result both teams deserved.

TITLE DEFENCE STARTS STRONG

The return to Poafmersia for a second straight Independents Cup might ring some bells about the need for hosts for the competition, however returning to familiar grounds for the title defence might be exactly what this young team needs after a horrendous world cup cycle set by the heightened standards following the Independents Cup 18 victory.

Matchday 1 of gli attaccanti's title defence ranked as 1st among the independents was against Britonisea, a somewhat familiar foe of not much note in a matchday involving only 1 team with assigned names on the back of their jerseys. This would make the following article more difficult to write if they even had a chance to showcase their abilities but alas, it was a comfortable victory for la squadra and a dominant showing against a global minnow.

Jumping into the first half, a frontline trio of Vicario, Bevilacqua and Urruchi was enough to break the backline of the Britonish team and to pummel them with chances head on quickly. While young Sara Ponce's first matchday in the red and gold was marked by her existence everywhere on the pitch and it seems like the team has found its iron lungs to use at high intensity games. When this proved to be extremely useful was around the 37th minute, a deep run by Ponce saw her get through 2 Britonish players before passing the ball left towards Bevilacqua with the latter scoring his first goal for gli attaccanti with a sweet finesse shot, leaving the goalkeeper frozen like a statue. This would also be the final score at half-time.

In an ATYPICAL Juven fashion, fans have actually been wholesome to their opponents on the Britonish side asking them to turn up their chants and to be heard as well in a non-condescending manner. This is the first positive case involving the Juven fanbase in probably ever. Even more wholesome considering the fact that only a few months back there were large-scale fights with rival Cardenaoan fans which resulted in multiple injuries and even deaths as well as property damage.

Bevilacqua's goal would serve as a confidence booster since Madeiros kept them on edge in the locker room talk. The Britonish team seemed to come out to play the second half sort of like a ghost team rather than 11 sentient human-looking beings. Despite this what stood out was Bevilacqua's substitution directly at half-time. Rumor has it he needed to catch up with an old friend who happens to live in the Greater Mancodas area and Madeiros were to grant it to him ONLY if he scored a goal. Edu Coste seemed to cover up his spot just fine. The start of the second half was quite a possession-based time frame, despite dominance from i campioni, Britonisea's defence was tight and finding gaps seemed to be quite difficult.

The Britonish team got close to scoring an equaliser in their only major opportunity in the game around the 62nd minute, due to a weak back pass by Lopes that was intercepted by a Britonish forward but their subsequent lob over debuting Bardhyl Imeri resulted in the latter leaping to make an extraordinary deflection to the post which was shot wide by a fast Stafylidi in an attempt to remove the imminent danger. Imeri's save resulted in the entire Juven side applauding his effort and served as a message for la squadra to focus on the game to avoid any upsets.

The game would immediately return to the dominance showcased by la squadra in the first half, with a lot of shots towards the Britonish target, some of which were saved by the goalkeeper, who was having a good day. The final scoreline was locked up in the 89th minute, following a cross by pivotal Ponce towards Audiol who had replaced Urruchi just a few minutes prior. Audiol would follow up the cross with a header that bounced off the ground, again leaving the goalkeeper unable to react. With the game sealed, la squadra returned to a possessive game and maintained the 0-2 scoreline all the way to the end.

With that said, the title defence started solidly for la squadra, although several mistakes could be improved upon as the following matchday is against Valentine Z. Despite poor recent performances, they are a consistent presence in the Independents Cup and maintaining the winstreak would be the ultimate goal. Madeiros refused to comment on the team's performance pinpointing at the fact that the only thing that matters is a respectable title defence in the end.

Boot It!: The Curtain's Call

By Peter Davis

Indeed...it is true. Once this tournament, the 19th IAC in Poafmersia, comes to a close, 'Boot It!' magazine will step away from the international limelight. So, in this regard, this time around was going to be quite emotional no matter what. The Jagaurs enter this IAC with a bit of a chip on their shoulders, tieing the Ice War against Kimi-Suomi after both teams were left out of the Cup of Harmony party. That blemish has made everyone, in both nations, realise that a different approach is now required if they want to get to the World Cup in the near future and the combination of David Seems and Li Xiu Ying knew that they had to shake things up - especially with several players retiring. Kim Choi-ya was still there as the experienced head and there was hope that we could actually do something...but could we?

Up first would be Delaclava, the #6 ranked Phoenixes, and this opening contest would certainly bring some much-needed fireworks to TJUN-ian football. We knew that getting off to a good start would wash away some of the despair from last year and when Jackson Smith-Scott scored after only 5 minutes of the contest, you knew that the process was fully underway. Delaclava would get one back to start the 2nd term but Jose Lozano de la Cruz would get the 2nd in the 67th in his first start, a goal that would ultimately be the one to ensure this one was ours. We won 2-1...which certainly was what the doctor ordered

Kameron Boyd strode into his office at Kallenpark, the NT's training ground in Ajac. It was decorated in a minamalist style, perfectly suited to him. It reminded his of his office in Futsworth. He actually wasn't to far away from his club's home city. He went to go grab a few final things. Some opposition reports, a few medical exams, and a youth scouting report. Even though he had managed to get through his first few weeks relatively smoothly, it was still so surreal. He had wanted to manage his country ever since he started with the amatuer side Old Bourough FK, located in his native Tammen. That was now all coming to pass. As soon as he collected his things, the team bus would be loaded with the players and their luggage, and they would ride to Tom L. Grainger International Airport. Their opening IAC game was only five days away. But is wasn't just any ordinary opener. Kameron had been thrust straight into the fire, with his first game in charge being in a major international tournament. For his country, of course. He had already won the A. Liga twice with Futsworth, and had managed them in IFCF competition too.

He hurried down the stairs to catch the team bus. The airport was half an hour away, and the bus was scheduled to leave in less than five minutes. He was a ittle out of breath when he emerged from the building housing his office, but was relieved to see the team bus was still there. He handed his papers to and aide and quickly got on the bus. Once in, he took a few breaths, and got his team's attention. There were two familiar faces. Hans-Jürgen Becker and Rahul Marković both started for Futsworth United. However, the rest of the bus was unfamiliar. He knew of the players (he had beaten and been beaten by almost of them), but didn't really know them. It was important to get off on a good start. "Yesterday, as we were getting prepared to leave, Lisa briefed me on our previous performances in this tournament. While we have had some good games, our failure to ever make it out of the group stage leaves lots of room for improvement. I think that this campaign has the potential to be like no other. We have a unique combination of veteran stars and promising young players. Each and every one of you has earned your right to play in this tournament. But now, you have to earn the right to advance in it. Your performance carries weight even beyond our stay in Poafmersia. Given that I have not managed this team prior to our opening game, I will also use the IAC as a way to get an idea of who belongs with the starters. Show me that that's your place. You will all be briefed on our strategy once we land."

Kameron sat down. Most of his speech seemed to have been recieved well. He wasn't sure if the talk about earning a starting place would inspire even greater heights for his players, or lead to infighting. Only time would tell. Once they arrived at the airport, it was all a blur. They got through security and baggage check with lightining speed, and were boarding merely 35 minutes after arriving. He was impressed at the effecincy. It reminded him of how his team was meant to play. His pioneering style of Tengingarleikur, meaning "connecting play" in Sammsait, the native langauge of the island of Reeskavov, was all about each player knowing exactly their role. It was rigid, but, when understood properly, could produce amazing results.

They landed in Poafmersia six hours later. Although some of the players wanted to explore, Kameron sent them immidiatly to the team hotel. Once inside a previously booked conference room, he dove into his tactics. It was all review of Becker and Marković, but completely new for the rest of them. Kameron knew it might take time, but he firmly believed in his philosophy. The players did seem to warm to it quicker than expected. It wasn't totally different from previous coach Yousafali's style of play, and the players had actually already practiced some of the routines. Once he wrapped up, he turned it over the his assitant coach Lisa Lleget to give the opposition reports. He felt a real connection with the players. If the played hard, well, and got a bit lucky, this could turn out to be a historic tournament for the Claws.

Belnegau's knights, though still suitably amazed by the wonders of the modern world, had experienced it by now several times across four tournaments. For the Mühlenfurter townsfolk who now made up the team, it was an all new experience, one that inspired awe, terror, and disgust, depending on the man.

"What a wonder that arena was. It could've held the whole of Magdeburg three times over," Heinrich Nagel was a maker of nails by trade, and had been the one to smith the hobnailed cleats that reserve striker Bartel Schuster had used on the football boots they all wore. Nagel had once visited the great city and cathedral of Magdeburg, tagging along on a small merchant voyage as a ship's carpenter. He'd come back full of tales of the city of over 20,000 souls, with broad streets and bustling markets. It was by far the largest city in the vicinity of Belnegau. But comparing Magdeburg, or even Köln, Queen of the Rhein with her twelve great churches to Fiskadaha was as comparing some village parish to the palace of the Pope himself. Their opponents, Franco-Norse from some frost-blighted island in the far northern seas were also the subject of curiosity.

"Do you suppose there really is any such place as an Île de Richelieu? I've never heard of anyone who's been there. Even the Hansards who come through on the way up to Halle, and its said they sail all the way to London and Bergen," Wolfhart Schnur mused.

"Oh, and do you speak to many Hansard merchants, rope twister?" Black of hair and of mood was striker Baldewin Rapp, "Why would they lie about where they come from in any case? If they were simply Normans, why say otherwise?"

"Which story do you think buys more ale and sways more women? Simple Jack from Cherbourg, or Bjørnar Grendahl-Kalberg, the mysterious iceman from the isles of the north," Erasmus Weiß grinned wickedly. With blond locks and comely features, he was famous in Mühlenfurt as a philanderer, and had been known to sway women not only in a dance, but quite far from the wedding vows on occasion. "And speaking of women, these Poafmer sorts look to be quite a bit of fun. Not much like back home."

"You would, Weiß," Baldewin replied, "Wise men say that men always seek out women who remind them of their mothers, so perhaps you'll fit in here so well you won't want to return home, whoreson."

"Be silent!" Conrad Ragin had entered the room. Not yet an old man, but prematurely gray from long years on the town council. For some years now, he had been regarded as a man worth listening too in Mühlenfurt, and even Landgraf Hartwig had been known to heed his counsel on occasion. "Save your anger for your next enemy, do not squander it on your brothers."

"This rake is no brother of mine," Baldewin bristled.

"You are, all of you, brothers while we are here in this strange land. You have won a victory together already, but if you do not stand together you will soon taste defeat. Knights would know the truth of this, and you will learn it as well, if not from my words, then from bitter experience. Now go to your chambers. Erasmus, Baldewin, perhaps you should ask the Holy Virgin to intercede on your behalf for your sins this evening, and perhaps to guide your shots as well, each of your was wasteful in front of net. Consider the plank in each of your eyes ere you once again speak of your brother's splinter."

Part 1

Second day of the meeting. The situation at Grand Asakote Hotel, the location of the meeting, become more chaotic as officials and securities officers swarm the place before the event started. The hotel is being cleared out and sterilized for high level security. One by one of the delegation started to arrives at the location as the time of the meeting is approaching. Foreign Minister, Khusni Asmawi is stand by at the venue to greet the coming delegation.

"Welcome, to all delegates. We appreciated with your fast response in this extraordinary meeting," greet President Qadari to open the meeting.
Present in the meeting are Pemecutan Patih Madya, Ngurah Agung Kusumajaya together with representative from Kanginan, Patih Surya Wiradarma and Petang Islands, Patih Ketut Darma Puja; Prime Minister of Soracana Islands, Basubala Anggarjahia; Cakranegara President, Hambali and Gili Anakan Prime Minister, Ahmad Subrata. The only Mandaran Council member to absent is Rarungan.

"Thank you for the great welcome, Mr. President," said Hambali, President of Cakranegara. "But what exactly the reason of this meeting? We just finished our annual meeting like a month ago," he added.

Qadari put a little smile. "I am very sorry for the confusion that build up," he paused a little to oversee the situation. "The intention of this meeting is to confirm all of our commitment towards the Mandaran sub-region, " he explain lightly.

A murmurs can be heard from across the room. Everyone seems to questioning Qadari's statement. "What commitment exactly that you implied, Mr. Qadari?" ask Ngurah Agung Kusumajaya, Pemecutan Patih Madya.

"Commitment of a future unification of our nations," Qadari reveal it calmly. But the revelation invite a further murmurs from the guests.
"I never know that there is a plan of unification," stated Ahmad Subrata which back by the others.
"Please calm gentlemen," said Qadari while waiting for everyone to stop chattering. "Like, Mr. Subrata said. There was no plan. But this is my idea, together with Rarungani PM who sadly can't present. A unified Mandaran states will be a good prospect for our future," he explain.

"This is too sudden," exclaim Surya Wiradarma, Kanginani First Minister.

Qadari let out a heavy sigh. The first session of the meeting was a failure. Everyone seems to object with the idea of a unified country between them. "Seems like I need to approach them privately," he thought. He also growing anxious as no news have come from Rarungan, his ally in this plan. He wondered what is happening there. "Hope everything is okay," he murmur. He laid out a plan to meet the leaders privately tomorrow. Started with Pemecutan.

Aquatian 1–3 HUElavia
(REDACTED 90+4' | Rossi-Rigoni 9', Aveiro 31', Koga 74')
Red Mudra Lane, Mudra, Poafmersia

Aquatian vs HUElavia Match Highlights!

Match highlights presented by Multiverse Airline Alliance.

Entrance: "Welcome to Mudra, Poafmersia, as perennial favorites HUElavia take on minnows Aquatian to open up Group A play!"

5': "Aveiro on the ball, he's looking for a cross into the box, being covered by REDACTED. He send a cross in... Amezcua! Heads it over the bar! What a near chance that could have been."

9': "Navarro-Hamada on the ball, he's running towards the defense, covered by REDACTED... Looks around... Sends the pass... Rossi-Rigoni! GOAL!!! 1-0!!! You couldn't write a better start than that! A simple, low pass from Navarro-Hamada just sends it through and Rossi-Rigoni with the blistering shot past REDACTED to open the score for HUElavia."

20': "REDACTED on the ball, they're sending the pass to REDACTED, who takes the shot... Saved! Mok was not having it, just pounces on the shot and sends it long to start another attack."

31': "Yamada on the ball, she's sending it to Amezcua, she's running on the side now... She's being covered... Sends the cross in... Aveiro!!! GOAL!!! 2-0!!! What a header past REDACTED!!! No chance from REDACTED to save that, just a perfect cross into the box and Aveiro wins the ball from REDACTED, just to loop it over the reach of REDACTED into the goal, HUElavia doubles their lead!"

45': "Half-time, and HUElavia has a commanding 2-0 lead, just the normal expectation of this team that seems to live in and love this competition."

58: "Ardance is on the ball, he's looking for an opening... He's dispossessed! REDACTED is running all alone, Mok is rushing them... Uuuf! Just narrowly wide from the goal. REDACTED just cannot believe it and both Ardance and Mok cannot believe they survived that scare."

74': "Amezcua on the ball, she looks for an opening... Sends it to Nascimento... She sends a pass to Koga... Koga wants a shot... Koga!!! GOAL!!! 3-0!!! And that may be it! Koga seemed to not see anybody open and she just took a looping, long shot that REDACTED tried to reach but it was too much. That may sum up the three points that HUElavia expects in every opening match."

90+4': "Corner for Aquatian, this may be among the last kicks of the match. REDACTED looks to send into the box... Sends it in... REDACTED!!! Goal! Aquatian get a goal! Mok's clean sheet is ended right at the death, and REDACTED jumped over Ardance and headed the ball into the goal."

End: "And that's it! HUElavia open up IAC 19 with a victory, a solid 3-1 victory that says less than what the match really was. Very good performance from the team, they looked solid as a unit, although Aquatian did get their chances here and there, and got their goal in the end. We'll see you in a few days when HUElavia play host to Khoxsa on Matchday 2!"

(OOC: I've had a difficult week with work and other responsibilities, this was the best I could crank out, especially after not sleeping well the night before and having a long day at work today. May come up with something better for Matchday 2 onwards.)

C.League Expansion Plan

Ampenan — As the clubs prepared for FFI competition which yet to come and the national team is currently competing in IAC competition, back home, a meeting is held within CVB. The Cakranegaran football association express their plan to expand the domestic league to encourage more clubs into the professional level. And this meeting is likely to laid out the principal of the expansion. As we all know, Cakranegara currently only have a single domestic league name C.League. The league is a result of a merge between West and East Cakra Leagues following the country's unification in 2002. The first season of C.League was held in 2006 and consist of 12 clubs. And the format have never change ever since.

The country's success in FFI competition is called as the trigger to the expansion plan. PSS Selaparang success to bring home the country's first international trophy. The win also give a pride for the country as the team defeated a fellow neighbor team in the final. An achievement far beyond expectation as C.League is inferior than Toluiwa's Liga Sae.

At the previous press conference held by CVB, it was mention the plan to expand C.League from a single tier competition into a two-tier league. On the press conference, CVB President, Burhanuddin Harahap, stated that there are 2 plan of the expansion. First is a single lower level league below C.League. It is plan to have another 12 clubs included in it with a hope of an equal numbers between East and West Cakra. The second plan is to have 2-divisions lower level league below C.League. 1 division will be joined by clubs from West Cakra provinces, Praya, North and South Saka province. And the other one joined by clubs from East Cakra provinces, Sembalun and Selaparang province. The number of clubs in this second plan are around 16-24 clubs or 8-12 clubs in each division. He also mention a possible cup competition to be carried out if the new format is settled.

The plan is meet with a positive feedback from clubs all over the country. However, they hope the association will take notice about the adequate facilities and budget that the club have. They ask for a similar venues setting as the C.League with 2 stadiums holding the matches for the whole season. Interviewed before the opening of CVB internal meeting, the association president, Burhanuddin Harahap said that he will take notice of the clubs demands.

Sporting Daily: PFFA improves IAC stadium diversity with 20 stadiums set to host matches
Fiskadaha - For the first time, the PFFA will open 20 stadiums located across 6 different "zonal groups" for the duration of the tournament, allowing many towns across the nation to experience the spirit of thee IAC heading into the 19th edition.

The stadium allocation this time was double that of the previous edition, with all 10 states getting their own allocations of stadiums and matches, starting from the group stage and beyond into the playoffs. In particular, smaller stadiums below 40 thousand capacity, such as the Davarsi Bria and the Holtin Kash Stadium in Holhot, as well as the Stadium of Legends in Didari, Forche, will get to host games for the first time since Poafmersia begun hosting international competitions. The stadiums were split into 6 main zonal groups. Group A takes the West Zone, the furthest spread of stadiums with Stadia Cochin in Cochin, Bikasta, Theatre of Light in Kistina, Ramadau Trish, as well as Red Mudra Lane in Mudra, Hitimatias. Group B gets the East Zone, centering around Holhot in Nitrishi-pai, with other games in Dury, Gikash and Bikarish. Group C gets the South Zone, which is centered in Mancodas itself. Group D, which is home to the host team Poafmersia, will have the Central Zone, centered around Fiskadaha City, and some smaller cities in Sarim and Takarti. Group E will be based in the North Zone, centering around Dalaris and the Stadium of Legends in Didari, Forche. Group F will feature Trimidau Island, as well as the capital city of Piskn, Kingsford.

The first few days of matches went by smoothly. Matches of the same group were held at the same time to ensure fairness, and matches were split between the afternoon 3pm timeslot, and the evening 5.30pm timeslot. In particular, most games were one-sided affairs, except for Group F, who managed to all score 3-goals apiece to end the matchday with everyone drawing 3-3. The talk of the night was definitely Adab vs Indusse, two former IAC champions who were cheered on by 55,500 spectators in the crowded Offsdi Stadium. Meanwhile, Poafmersia opened their IAC campaign in Dreamers Park, edging out newcomers Xeola 1-0.

Greetings, compatriots!
It’s TTV from Poafmersia, country so familiar to us now. We have good weather here, and this is just another reason to go and support our team - four hours in the full comfort of a Trolleborg Wings plane and you are already at the stadium where Lads are trying to get back to the top of world football. The first match of the tournament, however, you won’t see in any case, you’re already late; it took place yesterday. We hope to show a 3D version of highlights in the near future, but objective circumstances connected with unalienable misfunctions of this technology are preventing this for now. Reportedly, AI have tremendous difficulties of unknown origin with portraying both opponent’s uniform and stadium view.

After a completely joyless games CoH, the fans were awaiting this match with nervous trepidation. We are all, of course, happy that in the match with a team just starting out in football, our lads this time achieved the required degree of concentration and did not lose it, which sometimes happened, and we can easily find examples of this in the statistics of the last three WCQs, and earlier too. Points dropped in games with such opponents is the literally weights that move team down in ranks. The head coach gave three newcomers to the team the opportunity to show themselves, and, in general, they did not spoil the game, although their nervousness that was natural in such circumstances was clearly noticeable. Unfortunately, apparently, even participation in international club tournaments does not completely cure this trepidation in players before matches at the national team level. It is not yet clear whether this phenomenon is rooted in the psyche of athletes or in the burden of responsibility that participation in national team matches puts on people. The team as a whole, by all accounts, looked quite combat-ready and acted without obvious mistakes or tensions, concentrated and knowing what to do. But we must still make allowances for the fact that this is only the first match, when the players are usually fresh and ready, and the opponent is just beginning his journey in world football. Today our lads will take the field again, let’s cheering for ours!

FEARS MANIFESTED, SHOCK DRAW AGAINST VALENTINE Z SHOWS

While talented, la squadra's youthful squad still is lackluster when it comes to international games on the big stage. Picking themselves up from 0-2 down to a draw that is going to be significantly hampering the team's campaign in the following games.

The match at the Camp of Power in Mancodas seems to have been a fearsome affair for gli attaccanti as not only did the Valentian Kittens(which for no reason whatsoever should be confused with real kittens, as they shapeshift to around 2 and a half meters tall to play football) dominate during the first few minutes of the first half. Only a Julio Campana super-sub hat-trick would be enough for the team to clinch a draw in yet another upset.

It was painfully obvious that the Valentians had studied la squadra beforehand, playing along its weaknesses and pressuring inward, using their superior strength in duels to win possession and play their own aggressive football. This tactic worked like a charm especially during the first 20 minutes of the game which saw a literal Blitzkrieg of attacks which were effective. Gaps found along the backside trio of Callejon, Puig and Stafylidi were taken advantadge of by Štěpánka Caitlin Madeline W. Sedláčková and Elisabetta Enzo Hannah Lodovica D'Elia both of which not only bombarded the backline, with several great saves by Wright but also managed to score two goals in quick succession. Specifically, a rocket from the former was slightly deflected by Wright to the post but was sadly deflected in while the latter managed to defeat Puig in a mid-air duel following Antel Marcel Georgia Katona Vass Dániel cross to head the ball in.

Being 0-2 down and with not much to show for, la squadra did eventually try to counter-attack with a through-ball by Paola Cernoia following a swift dribble through several Valentian midfielders found Gilberto Soares. The latter would cut inward for a shot that would hit the crossbar. This would be la squadra's most major opportunity during the first half.

What followed next was incredible, a behavior unforeseen by Juven standards managed to be maintained as fans kept positive chants for gli attaccanti and would occassionally hug with their Valentian and Poafmersian and other neutral counterparts in the stands to sing together. A large sign saying "Juven football fans, a change of pace, we are not as bad as you think!" was held proudly on the Juven side.

Madeiros must have gone insane during the locker room pep talk as he immediately subbed off both Callejon and Puig, putting Lopes and Coste in their place and also Urruchi who had been pretty much a ghost this whole game up until this point. In his place, Julio Campana. Julio Campana has been thirsty to prove his worth after a recent change of heart by Madeiros to put the more in-form Audiol in his place in the starting 11 especially in more important games.

His form would show immediately upon joining the pitch with several dangerous, yet missed opportunities, mostly fed by Cernoia on the right and Edu Coste on the left. Cernoia in particular would send the ball to the crossbar following a deflection by Valentian keeper Eveline Valeria Annalise Tiêu Xuân Ngọc. This would serve as a mood setter for the second half as gli attaccanti would finally start to function more like the team it is meant to be than the team it has been during this entire world cup cycle. A huge mentality boost would come on the 58th minute following a well-placed shot by Campana to score the first for la squadra. The 1-2 scoreline seemed reachable and overturnable at this point of the game.

This rush of happiness would be cut short as Elisabetta Enzo Hannah Lodovica D'Elia would score yet another goal with a volley following a deflecting onto Coste's body after a shot she had initially attempted. The entire team froze. Madeiros seemed not so worried, as he subbed off Sissoko and in his place joined Sara Ponce who had been impressive in the previous game against Britonisea. Her substitution was exactly what the team and especially Campana needed to be revitalised in the frontlines.

Her impact would be immediately felt following a swift cross to Campana with the latter controling it with his chest and then swiftly nailing it in to make it 2-3. Cernoia who happened to be closer to the ball immediately picked it up and the engines stirred up from then on with the game turning into an one-sided affair for the most part. A barrage of chances followed, with not much effect, as the Valentian backline and goalkeeper were in top form. The equaliser would be score not too long before the final whistle, at 90+5 minutes. An archer-accurate Ponce would pass the ball to Cernoia through a small gap with Cernoia dribbling through Nathaniel Orla Hayden Johnstone McMahon and then digging it up to Campana to score the volley. The team would erupt in celebrations, as would the Juven fans. However Madeiros would sit sceptical of the team's performance and for a good reason.

With a matchday against the Supermassive Sea Anarchists, the team will be looking to renew its morale following the second matchday of the Independents Cup and then after that it will have to set its sights against Revoda Sea rivals Drawkland in yet another Sonnel Titanomachy.

Île de Richelieu starts the Independents Cup with two losses

Sarim, Tikahs, Poafmersia - Île de Richelieu starts the Independents Cup with two losses. On matchday 1, the Cardinals lost 2-0 against the medieval knights of Belnegau. On matchday two, the Richelois travelled to Sarim, which is in the same state as the capital city. They played against Quintessence of Dust and lost 2-1. The Quodites attacked at the 28th minute when Chi Hương Huỳnh dribbled with the ball and made a cross to J. J. Rousseau who heads the ball right into the net and the Quodites are leading 1-0. Île de Richelieu answered back at the 33rd minute when Asbjørn Lillegard-Omdahl made a short pass to Jean-Christophe Gouin who kicks it past Oddmar Snævarsson. The game is tied at 1-1 and this is the score at halftime. At the 83rd minute, Jiahao Huang passed to Kaycee Thurstan in the penalty area but she's tripped by Nicolas Leboeuf-Hachey. Leboeuf-Hachey gets a yellow card and it's a penalty for Quintessence of Dust. Kaycee Thurstan isn't hurt and she takes the penalty. She kicks the ball and it's a goal. The score is 2-1 Quodites. Rose-Émilie Bouthillette almost tied the game at the 90 +2 minute but Oddmar Snævarsson dove to the left to stop the ball and the score remained at 2-1 for Quintessence of Dust. This is the final score.

Île de Richelieu is now last in group D with no win in two games. On matchday 3, the Cardinals stays in Sarim to play against Xeola, a team who beat Belnegau 1-0. The starting XI remains unchanged.

Roster comments: Under the guidance of Juven Roberto De Casio, brother of the "disappeared" Mauro De Casio, la nazionale proved itself to be a tough team to crack in the Independents Cup 17, getting victories over more experienced Elmyia and Eerinphektia, while giving both rivals Juvencus and Belnegau a run for their money. Despite finishing 3rd, tough luck struck the team as they were on the unfortunate side of a 3-way coinflip to see who would qualify to the round of 24, which saw Oscioru eliminated from the tournament, sparking outrage across the nation. With that in mind, De Casio is keeping the same squad as the talent is still there and a general sense of balance between young and old is what is considered necessary for the growth of the team.

Stadiums:

As Oscioru will be reintroducing itself to the world, a few stadiums have been chosen to give a good climpse of the country's history and football stadiums altogether.

El Monasterio, Poma(Capacity: 80,000)
Image

Union Juven and Union Osce's home ground, located in the capital Poma, it is the largest stadium in the entire nation by far. It is a marvel of modern engineering, as it has been refurbished and redone 3 times at this point. Osci fans will make sure to show their singing prowess to support la nazionale and El Monasterio is no ground to be messed with.

La Frontiera, Canzaria(Capacity: 35,000)
Image

Located in Canzaria on the country's frontier, the stadium has been rightfully named as such. Due to the city's distance from the rest of Oscioru, the fans there have retained archaic Juven elements in their behavior like hot-bloodedness and passionate chants unlike the rest in Oscioru. Those, alongside the frontier attitude and hardness of the people make La Frontiera a special stadium to visit.

Stadio Infernale, Bresca(Capacity: 31,000)
Image

Stadio Infernale, a boiling stadium in the heart of Bresca, considered the blood and soul of Osci nationalism and home of Universidad de Dronghi is an impenetrable stadium. Brescan fans are known to bring drums and light up flares in games like no other. While the fans are generally not as violent as their actions might suggest, the stadium itself is a landmine as the intimidating support of the fans will make any team reconsider stepping foot inside this stadium.
