The Merchant Republics stretch many different planets, with many different semi-autonomous republics, so indeed we do own our own planets and in fact many, however it would take a great deal of time to describe all of them, so allow us instead to describe the Planet on which our capital Veritium and the First Republic of Sierrium is situated.

It is a richly verdant world with a Nitrogen-Oxygen atmosphere and large supply of drinkable surface water both fresh and salt, it has a single massive ocean, a super-continent with a large inland sea and one smaller island continent surrounded by many archipelagos, it is was largely devoid of flora and fauna at arrival but now is heavily forested, it has a mostly semi-tropical climate with a very Mediterranean climate surrounding the inland sea.

It is dotted with massive super-metropolises connected by high-speed rail, it has a higher then usual amount of rural and suburban development, a rarity for Republic Worlds, mostly large summer estates owned by the super-rich, as well as organic farmers of various kinds.

Nohn served as the seat of government for the civilized people of the planet of Cirundi before The Event moved the isle to Earth. So, it rule it's own planet, but not any more.
