Turoki Tide - v. - Marine Coast United
Tivali Ring Stadium, Alikki-Corra, Vilita

The Tropical Trophy is a seasonal competition between the Vilitan Stellar Division Champions and Vilitan Cup Champions. There has been some controversy as to whether it is a "Season Ending" event or a "Season beginning" event, though it has tended to be closer to the start of the new season, then the end of the previous one.

For this seasons Tropical Trophy, the defending Vilitan Stellar Division Champions (Turoki Tide) faced off against the defending Vilitan Cup Champions (Marine Coast United).

Starting in Season 57, Vilitan/Turorian Dual National referee Nuliko Meteorik officiated the Tropical Trophy from a press box at the Tivali Ring Stadium with a suite of action cameras and video reviews to be used in competition to a degree never before seen. The move to the press box for the head referee was in part the chance to use the Tropical Trophy as a test bed for introducing technology to the game, and partially to spare Meteorik the embarrassment of not being able to keep pace with the players many years his younger. A pair of assistant referee's were still located pitch side. This method of officiating has continued at the Tropical Trophy as well as having been expanded to the Vilitan Cup and Tropicorp Cup competitions. In lieu of a whistle, a horn sounds over the PA system at the stadium when Meteorik needs to stop play while video screens and communication with the on-field assistants as required provide further details of the infraction and its result.

Despite taking their second consecutive Stellar Division Title, the Turoki Tide hadn't won the Tropical Trophy in 13 seasons and had lost their last attempt one season ago in convincing fashion as Jungle Strike FC dismantled the Tide 3-0. This time around the Tide would face off against Marine Coast United for the very first time. Until their recent resurgence, Marine Coast United hadn't appeared in the Tropical Trophy since season 20 - when the Turoki Tide had only just been accepted into the Declasse Division for the first time and 12 seasons before the Tide would win their first Stellar Division title.

Coming off a competitive break, both sides were well rested and prepared for the match which resulted in an exciting contest for the fans, even if there weren't a whole lot of goals. It was David N'Kude of TJUN-ia in goal for the Turoki Tide and Björnólfur Ernestisson of Graintfjall in net for Marine Coast United and both keepers would earn their paychecks over the first 45 minutes of action. 17 year old Mijiakuj Sklinai would score the first of what seemed like it would be many goals of the game just 12 minutes in and both teams peppered the goalkeepers with shots, though they managed to keep the rest of the attempts out of the net until the break.

In the second half, fans were hoping for a high-energy injection just as they had gotten in the opening 45 minutes, but it was not to be. Marine Coast United closed things down defensively with some tactical changes at the half and spent the remainder of the match frustrating the defending Stellar Division Champions, minimizing the quality of their attempts and helping things home as Marine Coast United would hold on to claim the Tropical Trophy.

The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy match up. In addition to its World Cup matches, 'The Ring' hosted the 40th UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup Final. The stadium was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict.

**First Season in Stellar Division

SEASON REPORT:
After a season away from the Stellar Division, Lonngeylin Coast returned and would get off to a winning start at home in a 2-1 victory over Inland Peaks to hit the ground running. Defending Stellar Division champions Turoki Tide would have an even bigger opener however with a huge 3-0 victory over rivals Cednia Beach AFC to immediately return to their perch atop the table and putting a spotlight on the lack of National Team action that Coconuts goalkeeper Duke Stamp has had since Hapiloppers withdrawel from the 93rd Internationstatal Competition cycle.

However, just as quickly as it seemed the Tide would be the team to beat once more, they suffered an unexpected defeat as a 38th minute goal from Sargis Nazaryan of Delaclava would stun the defending champs and give the Tide an early season defeat while the Locals sent a message indicating they were not intending to be relegation pushovers in Season 73. The Locals would keep up their momentum - and their clean sheet record through Matchday 3 with a 2-0 victory over Colonial Sile to move joint top of the Stellar Division table along with Eastal Lunar who got a winning goal from Pasargan youngster Alexander Szôlösi to hand Lonngeylin Coast their first defeat since returning to the Stellar Division.

The Locals perfect run would be ended when they hosted Marine Coast United at home on Matchday 4. Fyin Miateal, Mijiakuj Sklinai and Hapilopper's Elias Moon would all be on the scoresheet for the Crosaibi based side and the star-of-the-match performance with a goal for Kelssek's Isaac Lafreniere was simply too little for the Kionao Locals to compete with the reigning Vilitan Cup Champions who moved up into second place three points behind Eastal Lunar.

Despite the slip up, the Kionao Locals would keep pace with the leaders and that would set up a juicy fixture on matchday seven between second place Eastal Lunar and the third placed Kionao Locals at Lunar Park. Unfortunately the match itself didn't live up to the billing, ending in a goalless draw which ultimately just hampered both teams chances at gaining any ground on the leaders, Turoki Tide. It would not be until Matchday 9 that the Tide would suffer their second defeat of the season. A shutout by goalkeeper Satchit Chandrasekar and goals from Kala'a Yuliizala and Kiirdallen Aeroluzzi was enough for Colonial Sile to shut down the Tide and allow Eastal Lunar to close to within just 2 points of the leaders following a goalless draw with Strike FC.

On Matchday 11 it would be Strike FC getting help from their rivals as Lonngeylin Coast engaged in a back and forth shootout with the Turoki Tide resulting in a 3-3 scoreline - the Tide's first draw of the campaign which allowed Coast's rivals Jungle Strike FC to pull within 3 points of the lead on the strength of their own high-profile victory over the surprise package of the season thus far, the Kionao Turori Locals. Strike would only stay within 3 points until the following match week however when they were out dueled by the combination attack of Dado Branco and Vondar Parthalewski from Yutzie Sorma. Quebecois goalkeeper Kaniehtiio Yeom made 5 key saves to keep Jungle Strike FC off the scoresheet and pull Yutzie Sorma well clear of the relegation zone and up into the mid-table battleground

The big match of the first half of the season would come on Matchday 12, just one game before the mid season break. Eastal Lunar would host the leaders Turoki Tide at Lunar park in Seraai in a matchup that would decide which of the two teams would have the lead at the midway point of the season. Coming into the match, Eastal Lunar were the last unbeaten team in the league, though found themselves behind the Tide in the table due to the 5 draws they had already incurred. The Tide had held the spot since the opening matchday and were not keen to concede anything to their rivals. The match would get started slowly and neither side had any real quality scoring chances in the first half. The games first goal would come on the hour mark when the Turoki Tide would quiet the home crowd. They would stay on edge until the 89th minute when home-town star Nii'arala Milaaso would come to the rescue, scoring the equalizer to keep the Tide within Eastal Lunar's grasp heading into the second half of the season.

When the second half of the season kicked off, Cednia Beach AFC gave the rest of the league a gift holding their rivals the Turoki Tide to a 1-1 draw at the Cednia Beach Centre. However, the only one to take advantage of it was Marine Coast United who got a goal from Fyin Miateal to take three points from relegation threatened Sokattack Mliona, allowing them to pull within 3 points of the battle for 2nd place in the standings. and keep themselves in the conversation for chasing the Tide. It would be a similar story on Matchday 15 as draws reigned supreme across the Stellar Division. Just two games would see a winner - with Colonial Sile defeating Cednia Beach 1-0 thanks to a goal from their newest signing Saroj Kinnar of Zwangzug, and Lonngeylin Coast running up the scoreline in a 3-0 win over Sokattack Mliona who continued to struggle.

The Leaders would pick up their first victories of the second half of the campaign on Matchday 16 when the Tide ran up the score 4-2 against Yutzie Sorma getting goals from Diamoa Waviino, Kajsa Kupper and Florian Beike while Eastal Lunar would match pace with a 3-1 victory over Lonngeylin Coast getting goals from Nii'arala Milaaso, Olly Masiku and Alexander Szôlösi. It would be the setup to the first big clash of the second half on Matchday 17 where the Turoki Tide would host third place side Jungle Strike FC. The game would live up to the billing, but in the end the Tide were just too strong with two goals from Florian Beike and a third from Kajsa Kupper to push Strike out of the title hunt with the 3-1 result.

By Matchday 18, the Turoki Tide had extended their lead to 6 points despite the fact that second placed side Eastal Lunar remained unbeaten on the season. It was quickly becoming a two-team battle as Jungle Strike FC fell into the clutches of the field after their 0-1 defeat to Colonial Sile which allowed the Colonials to pull level with Strike for third place in the standings. Just one matchday later, however, it would be on the verge of a dynasty for the Tide who looked to pick up a third consecutive Stellar Division title for the first time in Club history. As the Tide knocked off Rammsissil they would get help from Cednia Beach AFC who handed Eastal Lunar their first defeat of the season extending the difference between the two teams to 9 points with just seven games to play.

Through Matchday 20, there would be just four teams left in the title picture and each of them a sizable distance behind the leaders who still had both of the soon-to-be relegated teams, Inland Peaks and Sokattack Mliona, left on their schedule. A draw with Tropicorp FC on Matchday 21 would push Colonial Sile into the "Mathematically Eliminated" Red Zone, 15 points behind with just 15 points left on the table after the Turoki Tide survived a closer-than-expected battle with Inland Peaks. Eastal Lunar would be held for the league-leading 11th time on the season allowing the Tide to comfortably extend their gap at the top to 11 points. Colonial Sile were officially eliminated on Matchday 22 when they could do absolutely nothing to help either themselves or their fellow competitors while visiting the Turoki Community Complex. The Tide got goals from Diamoa Waviino and Kajsa Kupper to all but clinch the Stellar Division title. With Jungle Strike having taken down Eastal Lunar 2-0 and moved into second place, it was only the slim possibility of Strike FC winning out and makign up goal differential on the Tide who would have to lose each of their 4 remaining games to forfeit the title.

The Turoki Tide would erase any doubts with a 2-1 victory over Marine Coast United at Marine World Park on Matchday 23 to secure their third consecutive Stellar Division title and the 11th in club history moving to within just 1 title of catching the Yeaddin Owls for second most Stellar Division titles of all time behind Strike FC.

Lonngeylin Coast would play the Tide at the most opportune time as the Tide were focused on celebrating their title the Fishermen were focused on climbing the table. With an unexpected header from Adabian defender Sarrugi Akshak, Lonngeylin Coast picked up 3 points over the Champions and climbed from 8th to 4th in the Stellar Division Table, leading the charge for an IFCF Challengers Cup place.

In perhaps the least exciting finish to the Stellar Division in its history, there was nothing of major consequence to play for anywhere in the table heading into the final matchday of competition. Inland Peaks and Sokattack Mliona were taking the drop, the only question was in which order. The Champions were known and the IFCF Champions League places already decided. Incredibly, it would be the Kionao Locals representing Turori in the Champions League while Cednia Beach, Mliona-Lpaka and Tropicorp FC were fighting to ensure they didn't get left out of the Challengers Cup.

In the end, that battle would be decided in Turori as the Kionao Locals capped off a stunning campaign with a 2-1 victory over Mliona-Lpaka that would propel them into the Champions League and up to 7th position in the table, the Locals best Stellar Division finish since placing 6th during Vilitan League Season 14. In the other matchup with Turorian implications, Tropicorp FC would host Cednia Beach AFC needing a result to overtake Mliona-Lpaka. They would get it in the form of a victory thanks to captain Moumouni Verre'elali's goal and Thorgnyr Bondarov's Star of the Match performance to keep Tropicorp FC relevant after a disappointing campaign.

Though the match did not have the implications it once might have, Champions Turoki Tide would close out their season against Eastal Lunar. The Astronauts still had a chance to finish runner-up for the third consecutive season, in the Tide's shadow each time, but they would need a victory to do so and they would not get it as the Tide would match their point total from one season prior with the win in front of their home fans to cap off another title season.

Heading into the Final Day of the Declasse Season there would be excitement at both ends of the table. At the top, Surf Jettica were assured a second chance at life of the Stellar Division but couldn't be sure if they would be going up as Champions again or not. That would be up to teh Orbital Kickers, the VOIA Island based club that was astonishingly on the verge of promotion from the Declasse for the first time in their history. Heading into the final matchday, the Kickers had a 3 point deficit to the leaders and a 3 point advantage over third placed Morata Valley, the only team that could keep them from the Stellar Division as Endur's Forest Rebels, the most prolific goalscorers in the division, struggled with discipline and goal tending as they had the second most goals conceded and were eliminated from promotion contention by Morata Valley who defeated them 2-1 on the penultimate matchday in a game which saw two of the Rebels players sent off.

Perhaps the biggest intrigue was at the bottom of the table, however, where two teams who have played in the Vilitan League since its inception 73 seasons prior were locked in a relegation battle. Jlinal Cove and the Yeaddin Owls - who both narrowly avoided relegation one season ago, were now tied across the relegation boundary in 12th and 13th position in the league, along with the Inura Forests. All three managed to avoid relegation one season ago but this season, one would have to suffer the drop. The Owls would play host to Jlinal Cove in prime time on the final matchday of the season to decide the teams fates once and for all... at least for this season.

Surf Jettica would leave no doubts about their title credentials routing Jaguar Moreda 4-1 to secure their second Declasse Division title in four seasons. That would leave the Orbital Kickers on the defensive, needing a result against Makosile United to secure promotion, or hope that Morata Valley faltered on the final matchday. Incredibly, the Orbital Kickers defied the odds handing the Makos a beat down similar to that which Surf Jettica applied on Jaguar Moreda. There was no intelligence being collected on this night in the Vilitan Cove as all of VOIA Island was rocking as the Orbital Kickers found their way to the Stellar Division after just 4 seasons in the Vilitan League.

While the party was hopping on VOIA Island, there was still much to be settled at the other end of the table. With Inura Forests having lost to Irottea, the Turorian side would have to wait on the outcome at the Lirai Asku Castle before their fate would be known. After 45 minutes of scoreless action at the Castle, the Yeaddin Owls finally broke through with a goal from 19 year old Juvencus prospect Zenobio Mastromatteo just before the hour mark. However, Jlinal Cove weren't about to give up on being the small fish at the table celebrating 75 years of Vilitan League competition along with clubs like the Owls, Jungle Strike FC and Cednia Beach AFC. They turned to Akdari midfielder Raihaan Al-Dajani who would level the scores in the 75th minute. By then, word was trickling through the Castle of Inura Forests' defeat to Irottea. With the scoreline tied, both teams would be safe and, unsurprisingly, there wasn't much in the form of quality goal scoring chances for the final fifteen minutes of the match. With the full-time whistle, the Declasse Season would come to an end with Jlinal Cove in 11th and Yeaddin Owls in 12th for the second consecutive cycle while a pair of Turorian teams were relegated.

After having met in the Semi-Finals of the Vilitan Cup one season prior, Marine Coast United would have to fend off Eastal Lunar if they were to win their second consecutive Vilitan Cup. The Astronauts were getting antsy for silverware, however, having finished Runner-Up in the Stellar Division the previous two seasons. Eastal Lunar would get on the scoreboard quickly as youngster Alexander Szôlösi continued their impressive debut season and their 10th minute goal was doubled up by Nii'arala Milaaso late in the first half. Down 0-2 at the half, Marine Coast United would change their look to start the second half but things only got worse and within minutes they were down 0-3. Finally, on the hour mark, Marine Coast United would show signs of life as Mijiakuj Sklinai would score to seemingly inject energy back into the match. Zelkki Milake Jr. would hold down the fort from there, however, as Eastal Lunar would hold on to their early lead to claim the Vilitan Cup for the 6th time and the first time in 10 seasons.

IFCF Associations Trophy: Marine World Park, Crosaibi, Vilita (57,500 Seated)

Marine World Park is the oldest stadium in Vilita, home of the historic club Marine Coast United. The stadium was at one time the largest stadium in Vilita by seating capacity before the construction of the Tivali Ring Stadium in Alikki-Corra prior to World Cup 13. Marine World Park is one of the few stadiums of the Vilitan league that was never hit by the expansion bug in the golden era of the Vilitan League. While many stadiums expanded to over 100,000 capacity, Marine World Park's coastal location made any expansion plans tricky, and some have blamed the lack of expansion for some of the troubles of Marine Coast United in attracting the talent they need to keep up with any of the Stellar Division teams. Marine World Park also hosted parts of the World Cup 17 Finals in addition to the 34th and 47th Series 'B' Champions Cup Final and Second Youth Cup Semi-Final and Final rounds.

Location :: Cednia is the Vacation Center of the Island Emirate boasting the best Coastlines, nightlife and business opportunities within Turori in a sprawling coastal city.

Stadium :: The Cednia Beach Center is one of the purest examples of capitalism and expansion in the Vilitan Leagues. Originally a modest plot for a modest team, the stadium has risen along with the rise of the club. Now, a world class stadium capacity wise, there are concessions that were made. The training grounds outside the center are second rate, and parking is virtually non-existent at the complex. Public transportation - including your own two feet, would be required for fans to access the stadium. Thats alright though, plenty of lodging surrounds the local area within walking distance.

The Cednia Beach Center has been home to International competitions for many seasons including the Cup of Harmony 53 Final contested between Darmen and New Montreal States. New Montreal States ran out 4-2 winners on the day in what was an otherwise quiet and successful day at the park for fans attending at the Cednia Beach Center, showcasing the ability for Cednia to host the marquee matchups of International Sport despite the close confines of the stadium with its Cednia surroundings. Just two cycles later, the Cednia Beach Center would be home to one of the the most talked about World Cup Finals of its era, when Atlantian Oceania powerhouse Starblaydia in search of their record 6th World Cup took on an Audioslavia side that had made more World Cup Finals without ever winning than any other nation. In that game, Audioslavia finally prevailed to earn their first World Cup title while Starblaydia still seeks that elusive 6th title.

Primary Tenants :: Cednia Beach AFC currently compete in the Vilitan Stellar Division. Cednia Beach AFC remain the only Turorian club to ever win the Vilitan Stellar Division Title and can also boast the UICA Globe Cup, Atlantian Oceania Champions League and Vilitan Cup among their honors.

Procedural notes

• Resubmissions from Ancherion (ACH), Boring Paradise (BRP), Valanora (VAL), Graintfjall (GRF), Capital Cove (CPC), Oberour Ar Moro (OAM), The Gothanita Isles (TGI) were accepted. These associations must enter IFCF 16 on the basis of new results.
• The late submission from Savojarna (SVJ) was accepted for this competition. Nations are reminded to ensure that they are able to send in their submissions by the given deadline.
• After discussions with the representatives from Kelssek (KSK) and Patriotlandia (PTR), it was decided that Kelssek’s final site bid for the Challengers Cup, and Patriotlandia’s final site bid for Liga B Champions Trophy will be accepted, and the other rejected. Associations are reminded that they are only allowed to submit 1 final site bid to the IFCF competitions (except Cup Winners’ Cup) for every cycle.
• United Hawkland’s entries were accepted despite nearly being missed due to not using the standard form. The association was assigned the code UHL as none was specified.
• The Commonwealth of Baker Park (CBP)’s final site bids were also accepted although it was similarly nearly missed due to not using the specified form.
• All entrants are reminded to use the standard entry form or risk their entries being left out.
• The entry of Østad Pillar FC from United Hawkland (UHL) into the Challengers Cup were rejected due to a lack of sporting merit. Furthermore, as league position was used as the entry criteria, Four-Star Østad should be second seeds, and Pacifica FC should be third seeds for the association’s entry into the Challengers Cup.
• The entries of Bar Harbour United, Central Kapuvud FC, (FINAL TEAM TBD, DUE TO ALLEGATIONS AGAINST THE THIRD PLACE TEAM. WILL BE UPDATED TONIGHT) from United Hawkland (UHL), as well as None from The 14 Stars (TFS) into the Liga B Champions Trophy were rejected due to a lack of sporting merit.
• The entries of Grasmark Athletic U19 (Not Rp'd, i can remove this if necessary.) from United Hawkland (UHL), as well as None from The 14 Stars (TFS) into the Rising Stars Cup were rejected due to a lack of sporting merit.
• The entry of Kharkia (KRK) was rejected as there was no evidence that teams qualified on sporting merit.
• Per 2.04(2) of the IFCF competition regulations, Saint-Jean-Jacques-sur-Mer (SJJ) is only allowed 2 clubs in the Challengers Cup. Thus, the entry of Telluride Rangers was rejected.
• Per 2.04(2) of the IFCF competition regulations, Gunnison and Telluride (GAT) was only allowed 2 clubs in the Challengers Cup. Thus, the entry of Club National was rejected.
• Per 2.04(2) of the IFCF competition regulations, Ile de Richelieu (RCL) is not allowed any clubs in the Challengers Cup due to their league size. Their entries for the Challengers Cup were rejected.
• The entry of Gunnison and Telluride (GAT) to the Series B Champions Trophy was taken to be that for the Liga B Champions Trophy.
• As Valanora (VAL) no longer has 3 spots to the Champions League, for the resubmission, Club Atlético Bexar was entered into Challengers Cup, and the entry of Hondo FC is rejected.

Final site selection
There were 2 bids to host the Champions League. Running out of ideas, an intern suggested that the two representatives, who come from nations that are really good in football, play out a penalty shoot-out. The twist? Both teams were fitted with VR headsets, which made the shooter take the penalty in the perspective of the goalkeeper, and the goalkeeper saving the penalty in the perspective of the shooter. After much confusion and 2 broken VR headsets, it was the team from Baker Park who won the shootout 1-0, and therefore, BBP National Stadium, Belle Haven, Baker Park (cap 74,000) will host the Champions League finals.

Final site selection
Because of a baby boom a few years back, the preschool located beside the IFCF Headquarters was experiencing severe shortage of manpower. At one of the Pre-K classes, a teacher was struggling to handle 10 kids who constantly were crying for their parents throughout the day. It was then decided for the 3 representatives bidding for the Challengers Cup to be brought to this Pre-K class, where they will attempt to calm as many of the kids as possible within a timespan of 10 minutes. After taking turns to talk to the class, it was the Zeta Rekan representative who made a captivating performance for the kids, therefore, the Zeta Reka National Sports Complex in Aleiusia (cap. 52,000) will host the Challengers Cup finals.

The 138 clubs were placed into a seeded draw. Clubs representing the same association cannot be paired. The club drawn first plays the first leg at home. Mühlrich, AS Samita, FC 69 Norwegian wood, and Bartholomew FC were drawn into the seeded pot.

The bidding delegates were taken to an artisan chocolate shop known for its “create your own bar” service, and challenged to create the bar that would be most enjoyable to the venue selector’s 6 year old daughter. After their caramel filled bar with sprinkles on top was met with the loudest noises of approval by the youngster, it was decided that the final of the Liga B Champions Trophy and Rising Stars Cup would be hosted at Parc Athlétique d'Yvesmont, Yvesmont, Patriotlandia (capacity 25,000).

Final site selection
With 3 host bids for the Associations Trophy, the 3 representatives were asked to send their country’s best chefs for a culinary competition. After a blind taste test of a delicacy, the chefs were asked to replicate the delicacy as closely as possible to the original one. Surprisingly, it was the representative from The Gothanita Isles who whipped up what essentially was the same delicacy as the one that was given to the chefs, and therefore, Bongali Park, Kuala Pekatanan, The Gothanita Isles (cap. 82,000) was selected as the hosting stadium.

Procedural Note: The Vilitan Cove Invitational Committee noted that it was possible that some federations applications were not received but in those cases, the federations were not invited and were probably not bothered by that. The Committee noted that the Eastfield Lodger application was once again mailed before being filled out and they waited to see if any team showed up but none ever did. Since there were fewer than 32 eligible clubs in total, the Committee decided to let them all participate. Any other associations applying for an invitation whose applications were sent by drunk Cocoabo, turned into interstellar dust, thwarted by adorable kittens or patriotic celebrations or otherwise not received were not extended an invitation to compete. The defending Champions, Torbay Thunder, were invited to compete. The defending Runners-Up were already qualified.

The Vilitan Cove Invitational is an International Club Competition. Designed to allow clubs competing in a league system where they could be eligible to but have not already qualified for a major international club competition (UICA; IFCF; Cup Winners Cup), or, who compete in nation that does not otherwise participate in the IFCF competitions, a chance to compete on the international stage. The Invitational is designed as a Fair Play competition - however an association may set any sporting criteria by which to determine which team will be permitted to apply to the competition. The Vilitan Cove Invitational Committee reserves the right to change the competition entry criteria at any point or deny the future use of a specific entry criteria proposed.

Not all applicants are guaranteed invitation into the competition, particularly in the event more than 31 associations apply for consideration.

The format of the competition is a Fixed Bracket Knockout with minor re-seeding during rounds which have byes. All pairings prior to the Semi-Final stage will be two-legged home and away aggregate knockout rounds.

The "Away Goals" rule will not apply. Any match which is level on aggregate at the conclusion of full time during the second leg will immediately proceed to an extra time period. There will be no silver or golden goal scenario, and a full 30 minute extra time period would be contested. If the scores are still level, a penalty shootout will be employed to determine which team advances.

Semi-Final and Final stages will each be a single knockout match at a selected location in the Vilitan Cove region.

With 23 clubs competing including the defending Winner and Runner-Up of the competition, 9 clubs would receive a bye into the Round of 16 including defending champion Torbay Thunder of Kelssek. The defending Champions would nearly make a third consecutive trip back to the Tivali Ring Stadium but would be outlasted in the Semi-Final by FTC United. For Zwangzug, it would mean that a record 7th different club would earn a medal at the VCI while they would be in search of just their second VCI victory as a Federation, up against Pria City of Chromatika whom had never previously won the VCI. FTC United would coem out on top 2-1 at the Tivali Ring Stadium to become Zwangzug's second VCI Champion.

The rules for application to the VCI, which should be adhered to by any association which is inviting one of their clubs to apply for a slot in the tournament, are as follows:

Number of Teams Allowed to Apply: ( ONE )

• Single-Association leagues may have one applicant team
• Multi-Association leagues may have no more than three applicant teams with no more than one applicant from a single association

Criteria for Invitation:

• In order to be invited, an applicant team must not have qualified for any Major Senior International competition (UICA, IFCF, Cup Winners Cup) during that cycle
• An association may permit an applicant team using any criteria it chooses so long as the qualified applicant is selected based on sporting merit.
  
  • Preference for Invitations may go to applicants who have been selected via a Fair Play table
  • Other applicant criteria may include, but are not limited to: Best Defensive Record, Most Team Goals Scored, Most Improved Team

Previous Edition Finalists:

• The reigning Champion Team does not need to apply for an invitation and will receive an invitation in addition to and exempt from other entrants and criteria
• If deemed advantageous to the competition, the reigning Runner-Up, if not already invited, may also be extended an invitation under the same exemption

[Tropicorp]

Tropicorp's sponsorship of the Super Cup competition through UICA reaches back to the 52nd edition of the event and had already been extended through the UICA 75th anniversary campaign. With the IFCF absorbing control of competitions from UICA, however, it left an untenable break for Tropicorp which had invested heavily in the Super Cup brand for the previous 20+ cycles.

The traditional UICA Super Cup included only the winners of three of the four UICA sanctioned events with the Youth Championships considered separate from the UICA Mainstream. Other major competitions such as the Cup Winners Cup and Vilitan Cove Invitational were excluded as they were not official UICA sanctioned events, but Tropicorp saw an opportunity to unite them in the Tropicorp Super Group. The winners of the 'other' 3 major internationstatal domestic competitions compete in their own three team group identical to the format of the old UICA Super Cup. The winner of this group then contests the Tropicorp Super Cup against the winner of the new IFCF Super Group. With the introduction of the Associations Trophy, a Play-In match was introduced. Starting with the current cycle, this match will feature the winners of the two lowest tiers of the IFCF pylon, the Rising Stars Cup and the Associations Trophy.

The Tropicorp Super Group is timed such that the matches correspond roughly to the end of the Vilitan Cove Invitational tournament with the IFCF Youth Cup Champions playing their match against the Cup Winners Cup champions first, before each team played a single game against the winners of the Vilitan Cove Invitational. The "Rising Stars" Cup Champions would be permitted up to 5 Senior 'Guest' players on their roster in addition to a generous age restriction up to 21 years old for the remainder of their participating players. They are, however, encouraged to reward as many of the players who earned their championship as feasible.

History and Tenants :: Tropicorp Park is home to Tropicorp FC, members of the Vilitan Stellar Division and also regularly serves as the home of assorted International and Domestic Competitions. The Tropicorp Cup, a four team, 2 day grand-finale of the Tropicorp Lower League has served as an outstanding warmup to test the hospitality available at Tropicorp Park, and was critical in the build up to the decision to allow the finals of the Eagle's Cup V competition to take place in Tropicorp, the first major international competition of any kind to be held in Tropicoast.

Tropicorp Park hosted the 54th AOCAF Final that saw Cosumar break through with a first ever regional title over Eshan. The stadium was also the final site for the AOCL XXIII contested between Mâ Âlâmëómë of Farfadillis and Blades ex Magnaeus of Mertagne with the Farf side being victorious on Penalty Kicks; and for AOCL XVII which saw Jungle Strike FC defeat Fligsive FC 3-0.

Tropicorp officials are continuously looking to expand the portfolio of events held at the Park and began hosting UICA competition finals in addition to its long-standing partnership with the UICA Super Cup competition. Tropicorp Park hosted the final of the 70th UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup and the 25th UICA Youth Cup competitions. Tropicorp officials are always looking for new partnerships, however, and continue to take advantage of the opportunities to showcase their hospitality including branching beyond Footsport. The NSCF Tropicorp Bowl was contested on the gridiron with Raynor University defeating the university of Iqaluit 27-14.[/box]

Maethoru SC were the fourth AOCL side to make it to the SCOC finals. Despite the fourth final, Meathrou were bested by an independent. The independents won their first championship, as did Khurtubh. As of the fourth event four clubs have won the title. Only Mâ Âlâmëómë have played in two finals.

Since we have 11 entrants for the Youth Champions Path (CA Paulinthal qualified for the CL path as their senior club got the direct spot, and Venom Youth Academy qualified for the CL Path as Jungle Strike FC made it to the Group Stage), there will only be 1 round.
