Certainly is! Not sure how much you've caught up on the lore of the setting and whatnot, but the rundown of our current situation is as follows: The Thin Isles, part of the United Gallian Federation, are under attack by the forces of Hell and Watchtower cultists alike. The Baron of Towraigth, sovereign of the Thin Isles, sent a man named Isaiah Daegal for aid to the city of St. Veowulf, seat of the Duke to whom he owes fealty. On the way, he was attacked by cultists and corrupt Federal officers, but was saved by the player characters, who subsequently got roped up into the ensuing crusade to liberate the Thin Isles.
Currently we're in the midst of said crusade. The party is sailing around the isle of East Aigth alongside a small fleet in order to enact a plan to liberate the town of Kjalarrgrove from its infernal invaders. On the way there, however, they suddenly came across a Hellspawn fleet similar in size, and are currently in a pitched sea battle.
Since the whole context is a military operation, which by the way has lots of volunteers (two or three whole 'adventurer companies' as they're called), your character could easily be an Elemental (or not, your choice; we do have what's basically an ascended normie on our party ) who's part of the effort but hasn't seen a lot of action until now, and jump into the fray with the rest of the player characters.
Obligatory not the OP, but the above info should be pretty accurate. Let us know if you have any questions -nods-
Thanks for the info! That sounds pretty cool (I have only partially read the lore, but will read more). I could have a character be from the town that's being invaded who wants to fight back.
That sounds like a pretty cool idea. You'll probably want to hit up Const if you want more background info for your character in that case.
