The entry deadline for CAFA LigAnaia V has been set for |23:59 GMT on Sunday, July 10th|.

As before, member associations may send |two| clubs to participate.
The two entries must be designated on sporting merit -- typically the league champion, and either league runner-up or cup winner.
(though this is not rigidly enforced; if you make a convincing argument, it's all good tbh)

The titleholders (

Bavingtor FC) are automatically granted entry, which does not count toward Flavovespia's association limit of two entries.

By the mandate of the Most Benevolent Eminence:
The nation of Lexandrija, latterly known as Iskandervale, will REINVIGORATE its football scene by a new, professional league of ten clubs.
Old clubs can apply to join the new league; of these, Navakor, Lokomotjva (formerly Lokomotiv), Esteqlal (Iskandabad United), and Metalljrg (Ironworks) were accepted.
All players will be full-time. A strict limit of three foreign players per club, and one additional Anaian, will be adhered to. Thus far this is no issue, as no foreigners have decided to play or even live in Lexandrija.
The Liga has no desire to enter the IFCF, subscribe to its decadent ‘minimum standards of corporate care’ or its weak ‘air pollution mandates’.
The tingling feeling in your arm is a sign of corporatist weakness to be subdued.
The clubs shall play each other three times, with the top two to compete in the CAFA LigAnaia.
This will, assuredly, be the start of a new age of prosperity in Lexandrija.

Notes for Cup Winners' Cup Entry

Each association may enter ONE club into the Cup Winners' Cup, with the exception of Valladares which may enter one club in addition to Metropolis Alligators.
Should Metropolis Alligators win their qualifying national association or league cup, the spot held over for a second Valladar entrant will be vacated.
Clubs can only qualify through ONE domestic cup competition.
For multiassociational cup competitions, only the cup winner is entitled to enter the Cup Winners' Cup. Associations taking part in such competitions that grant the winner qualification for the Cup Winners' Cup may not qualify clubs through a different cup tournament.
Each user may enter clubs from no more than two associations. Puppet nations must be declared upon entry.
With the exception of Metropolis Alligators, all entered teams must have won a national association or league cup; super cup winners and winners of play-offs cannot be entered.
Entrants must be posted in the International Domestic Soccer NewsWires (i.e. this thread), and at least the last three knockout rounds of the domestic cup tournament (i.e. quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final) must have been scorinated and posted (with a link in the IDSN if it is posted elsewhere).

With the relative success of the first season of the Federal Top League (success being considered as actually running a full season and crowning a champion without interruptions or disruptions such as invasions from the northern rebels), it has been decided that the Federal Top League will continue for a second season. However, there has been one important change made in between the first season and the second: After all twelve teams have played each other twice, once at home and once away, the league will then be split according to rankings, with the top 6 teams competing against each other in what is known as the "Championship Round" and the bottom 6 playing against each other in the "Relegation Round". This new format will see the teams in the Federal Top League play 32 games instead of just 22, which is more in line with the standard of the other leagues in the Anaia Region. And yes, while calling the competition for the lower 6 the "Relegation Round" when relegation has not yet been implemented into the Federal Top League is a bit strange, the Football Federation of the Federal Republic (FFFREE) said that this measure was introduced in order to make the transition to promotion and relegation easier for all parties involved. And now, without further ado, let us take a look at how the twelve teams of the Federal Top League have fared in their second season.

Dinamo Durdenville must be feeling cheated when the FFFREE announced that they were adding a championship and relegation round at the end of the regular season because without those changes, Durdenville would have been champions of Estorvipa and Estorpiva no question. Now they will have to play ten more games in order to prove that they are indeed worthy champions of the Federal Top League. But for the other teams, they will be licking their lips at the chance to snatch the title from right beneath the noses of the team from Durdenville. As for the teams that have "made" it into the relegation round, this will definitely be a good time for them to practice their skills in escaping the drop while the drop itself doesn't exist just yet.

Dinamo Durdenville were right to be afraid of the championship round because they have been found out, and it is most likely that their title campaign has collapsed as soon as the championship round started. The biggest winner out of this new format at the moment is Traktor St. Paulsburg, who have taken full advantage by winning seven out of the ten added games in the season. Velikiy Varadino are also no slouches themselves in the championship round despite not being fancied for the title but given the poor position in which they started, they might be further away from silverware than the table would say.

Matrega Fanagoria are in almost the same boat as Dinamo Durdenville, except Durdenville are fighting for the championship while Fanagoria are at risk of relegation. Had relegation already been a thing but the championship and relegation rounds were not then Fanagoria would have been comfortably mid-table. But now, this new format has seen them collapse in the relegation round and now they are in real danger of dropping down a division, if it actually existed. But no matter what, this does not bode well for Matrega's chances for when relegation finally becomes a real threat.

In the end, it is Traktor St. Paulsburg who claim the championship in the second season of the Federal Top League. The team from the city which was razed by both the Communist marauders and the fleeing Pridnestrovian invaders just a few years ago have shown that not only has the city recovered from both disasters, but that they are also ready to be at the forefront of Vipan and Pivan football as the nation embarks on the challenges of LigAnaia. CSK Armiya Supskij fought a surprising campaign to be included in the title picture, but in the end, it came down to just six goals for the Army Club. Six goals was the difference between Traktor's 21st title and CSK's 11th. In the old days, it would have been strange to see CSK challenging Traktor for the title, but thanks to the Federal Top League and their new championship and relegation rounds format, this occurrence might become more common than before.

Procedural Note: The Vilitan Cove Invitational Committee admitted they had been duped by AC Acqui Bollente of Savigliane but would not be duped again, taking a thorough scrub of all proposed invitees and denying consideration to Mont-Basiliqué. The scrub also revealed that the Metropolis Alligators have requested consideration for the Vilitan Cove Invitational despite having qualified for the IFCF Champions League. As the club has declared its intent to discriminate based on gender as to which athletes may participate for the club in the Champions League, and which may participate in the Vilitan Cove Invitational, the VCI committee have decided to include the Female Alligators squad in the VCI as the VCI does not discriminate against gender and hopes the inclusion of the Alligators Women will further help to improve gender equality in Valladar Sport. However, the committee also noted it reserved the right to refuse future invitations to gender discriminated clubs that have already qualified for IFCF proper competition. Royal Crystal Palace of the Crystal Empire and the Cloudsdale Flyers were also extended the invitation to return for a second consecutive cycle but the Equestrian Football Association is encouraged to provide a new list of invitational prospects based on sporting merit for future iterations. Any other associations applying for an invitation whose applications were sent by drunk Cocoabo, turned into interstellar dust , lost in a high-stakes Nationstates Trading Card game or otherwise not received were not extended an invitation to compete. Lunas FC of Pasarga was extended an invitation as defending champions per the competition charter.

The Vilitan Cove Invitational is an International Club Competition. Designed to allow clubs competing in a league system where they could be eligible to but have not already qualified for a major international club competition (UICA; IFCF; Cup Winners Cup), or, who compete in nation that does not otherwise participate in the IFCF competitions, a chance to compete on the international stage. The Invitational is designed as a Fair Play competition - however an association may set any sporting criteria by which to determine which team will be permitted to apply to the competition. The Vilitan Cove Invitational Committee reserves the right to change the competition entry criteria at any point or deny the future use of a specific entry criteria proposed.

Not all applicants are guaranteed invitation into the competition, particularly in the event more than 31 associations apply for consideration.

The format of the competition is a Fixed Bracket Knockout with minor re-seeding during rounds which have byes. All pairings prior to the Semi-Final stage will be two-legged home and away aggregate knockout rounds.

The "Away Goals" rule will not apply. Any match which is level on aggregate at the conclusion of full time during the second leg will immediately proceed to an extra time period. There will be no silver or golden goal scenario, and a full 30 minute extra time period would be contested. If the scores are still level, a penalty shootout will be employed to determine which team advances.

Semi-Final and Final stages will each be a single knockout match at a selected location in the Vilitan Cove region.

With exactly 32 clubs competing the format would once again be a straight seeded knockout bracket with no byes. The run for Lunas FC of Pasarga would get off to a strong start with an 8-3 thrashing of Cyborg Cocoabo FC but would come to an end in the Round of 16 after a two-legged defeat to Port Tacassam FC of Tikariot. Port Tacassam's upset of the defending champions would open the door for Vilitan Club Yutzie Sorma who would hold the Tikariot side without a goal in the Quarter Finals and then would add another 120 minutes of defensive perfection in the Semi-Final, ultimately defeating Chromatik club Crossroads 6-5 on penalty kicks to become the first Vilitan side to contest the Vilitan Cove Invitational Final in 8 editions. The Yutzies opposition in the final would be two-time third-place finishers Rovers United who would become the fourth different Zwangzug side to reach the Vilitan Cove Invitational Final. It would be the second consecutive Vilitan Cove Invitational Final to be decided on penalty kicks and it would be the local side Yutzie Sorma who would be victorious 4-3 to become just the second Vilitan side to win the competition in its 16 cycle history.

The rules for application to the VCI, which should be adhered to by any association which is inviting one of their clubs to apply for a slot in the tournament, are as follows:

Number of Teams Allowed to Apply: ( ONE )
Single-Association leagues may have one applicant team
Multi-Association leagues may have no more than three applicant teams with no more than one applicant from a single association
Criteria for Invitation:
In order to be invited, an applicant team must not have qualified for any Major Senior International competition (UICA, IFCF, Cup Winners Cup) during that cycle
An association may permit an applicant team using any criteria it chooses so long as the qualified applicant is selected based on sporting merit.
Preference for Invitations may go to applicants who have been selected via a Fair Play table
Other applicant criteria may include, but are not limited to: Best Defensive Record, Most Team Goals Scored, Most Improved Team
Previous Edition Finalists:
The reigning Champion Team does not need to apply for an invitation and will receive an invitation in addition to and exempt from other entrants and criteria
If deemed advantageous to the competition, the reigning Runner-Up, if not already invited, may also be extended an invitation under the same exemption

In order to apply for consideration to be Invited to the next Vilitan Cove Invitational, interested associations should follow the following guidelines.

In a Super Cup with perhaps the least star power of any competition in Super Cup History, an unlikely sequence of events would lead to a pair of second-tier sides competing for the ultimate prize at Tropicorp Park. Incredibly, Club ESF would represent the fourth different Vanorian club to contest the Tropicorp Super Cup and the Eternal Realm have appeared in over half of the contested Tropicorp Super Cup Finals. It would be just the second appearance for a club from the Vilitan Cove, however, as Yutzie Sorma join fellow Vilitan League club Rammsissil as the only Vilitan clubs to contest the Tropicorp Super Cup match. Like the Ramms 8 seasons prior, however, there would be no luck for the Yutzies as they would fall 4-2 to Club ESF who would become the fourth different Vanorian club to win the Tropicorp Super Cup and 5th Vanorian champion overall.

For the fifth edition of the CAFA LigAnaia, forty teams from twenty nations will participate. Two associations are noted to be sending teams for the first time.

The late entries of Osarius, Cobrio, Estorvipa and Estorpiva, Lexandrija, and Evermark were accepted.
The entry of Schemerdrecht SVV (KOR) was rejected, as the Ko-orenite association is only permitted to submit two entrants for this edition.

LigAnaia headquarters reminds national associations to include "CAFA LigAnaia" in their submissions to avoid the chance of teams being missed by the administrative processes prior to the competition's preliminary round draw.

Qualifying Round
In the qualifying round, the sixteen lowest ranked teams face off in randomly paired two-legged ties for the right to participate in the group stage.
For this competition, in all two-legged ties, away goals will not count double.
If scores are level after two ninety-minute legs, the tie will be settled via penalty shootout. No extra time will be contested in any leg of any tie.
Ties on CAFA Coefficient for this draw were settled by the drawing of lots.

Group Stage
The eight winners from the Qualifying Round joined the remaining entrants, and all were seeded according to CAFA coefficient* and split into four pots of eight. One team from each pot was placed in each group, with no two teams from the same nation permitted to be in the same group. Each group then completed a six-game, double round-robin tournament of its own, with three points awarded for a win, one point for a draw. The top two teams in each group progress to the round of sixteen.

Tiebreakers, when required were applied in the following order:

head-to-head results,
head-to-head goal difference,
head-to-head goals for,
head-to-head away goals,
overall goal difference,
total goals scored,
total away goals scored,
number of matches won in the group stage,
and a coin flip.

With two teams remaining, the final can take place, at a neutral venue selected from those put forward by CAFA associations.

To decide the venue for the final, CAFA officials consulted their new system (dubbed a kicksey-spinsy by CAFA's twii.tur account admin). Attempts were made to ensure that associations who submitted their final site bids via the traditional method were also included, though CAFA LigAnaia organisers have conceded that some applications may have been missed, and reiterated their desire to move to this new system for future editions.

As with the previous edition, two final venues will be selected. The first is guaranteed to host, while the second will only host in circumstances where a second final game is required. In the case that the second venue is not required, the relevant association will not be considered ineligible to host next season's final.

As previously, the machine was activated, and after an amount of kicksey-spinsy-ness, it was announced that the final would take place at New East Gate Field in Audfort, Saltstead. In the event that a second final game is required, it will take place at Flynn Ar3na in New Fligsive, Mertagne.

DFB Information
The Germaxarian Football Federation (German: Deutchxiar Fußball-Bund DFB ) is the governing body of football in Germaxiar. A member of both IFCF and LFFA, the DFB has jurisdiction for the Germaxarian football league system and is in charge of the men's and women's national teams. The DFB headquarters are in Deutchavaria. Some members of the DFB are the Germaxarian Football League (German: Deutchxiar Fußball Liga; DFL), organizing the professional Bundesliga, the Bundesliga 2, Bundesliga 3, Bundesliga 4, Super Pokal, Deutchxiar Pokal and Bundes Pokal, along with five regional and 21 state associations, organising the semi-professional and amateur levels. The 24 state associations of the DFB have a combined number of more than 700 clubs (professional and non professional) with more than 6.8 million members, making the DFB the single largest sports federation in the world.

Bundesliga Information
The Bundesliga (German: Deutchxiar Bundesliga), sometimes referred to as the Fußball-Bundesliga or 1. Bundesliga , is a professional association football league in Germaxiar. At the top of the Germaxarian football league system, the Bundesliga is Germaxiar's primary football competition. The Bundesliga comprises 20 teams and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the 2. Bundesliga. Seasons run from August to May. Most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays, with a few games played on weekdays. All of the Bundesliga clubs qualify for the BundesPokal. The top 4 of the Bundesliga qualifies for the Super-Pokal (the top 6 accessing the LFFA Gladiators Cup the international football team tournament of lazarus) and only the 1st goes to the IFCF Champions League and the 2nd 3rd and 4th places go to the challengers cup.

Format of Qualifications
The Deutchxiar Fußball Bund has sawed a new format to enter the Challengers Cup this year, the winner of the Super Pokal will face the 2nd best of the Bundesliga, the winner of the Deutchxiar Pokal will face the 3rd best of the Bundesliga and the winner of the Bundes Pokal will face the 4th best of the Bundesliga, the losers of the playoffs will go to the Liga B Champions Trophy, in this year the winner of the Super Pokal was the Deutchavaria Falken a champions league qualified so it couldn't face the 2nd best so the Berlin Sportverein passed immediately to the challengers cup, Meanwhile the winner of the Deutchxiar cup was the Olympisch Stuttgart that was supposed to face the München Vereint, but because the Bundes Pokal was won by the Hamburg FSV (so the Hamburg FSV would pass directly even if they were in 4th place) and some other reasons, it was decided that Hamburg SFV and Olympisch Stuttgart would fight over the challengers cup qualification the loser of the match will go to the Liga B Champions Trophy, Meanwhile the winner of the Bundesliga 2 will also go to the Liga B Champions Trophy, and the winners of the Bundesliga 3 and 4 will have a playoff match to se who will be the third team to go to the Liga B Champions Trophy.

SEASON 002

There are a total of 12 clubs, each with a first team, a reserve team and an under-19 squad. The first and reserve teams will make up the 3 senior divisions, containing 8 teams each and playing each other 4 times (twice home, twice away). The 12 under-19 teams will compete in their own division, playing each other twice. Reserve teams cannot play in the same division as their first team.

The SFFA Cup

The SFFA Cup is the only domestic cup competition in Sett Forest football. There are 7 rounds, and all ties are one-legged from the Second Round onwards.

First Round - The 12 Under-19 teams are split in to East/West groups. They will play each other once with the top 4 of each group advancing to the next round.
Second Round - The 8 Under-19 teams will be drawn against the 8 teams of Division Three.
Third Round - The 8 winners from the previous round will be drawn against the 8 teams of Division Two.
Fourth Round - The 8 winners from the previous round will be drawn against the 8 teams of Division One.
Quarter-Final - The 8 winners from the previous round battle it out.
Semi-Final - The 4 winners from the previous round battle it out.
Final - The 2 winners from the previous round face off in the National Stadium.

Procedural Notes

Entries from the submission cycle of IFCF 10 and IFCF 11 was accepted for this tournament. ICly, this tournament takes place during IFCF 11 cycle; the FFI cycle for IFCF 10 will be taken as cancelled. Where an association submitted for both IFCF 10 & IFCF 11, the later submission will be taken.
The following associations' entry for the IFCF10 cycle was taken: Squidroidia, Pemecutan, The Sevens Federation, Acastanha, Abanhfleft, Sajnur, The Sarian, HUElavia.
The following associations' entry for the IFCF11 cycle was taken in place of the entry for the IFCF10 cycle: The 14 Stars, Zwangzug, Adab, StrayaRoos Barrier Islands, Indusse, Southern Palm Islands, Omerica, Poafmersia.

Based on precedence, defending champions Namiri Forest (ZWZ) and Rovers United (ZWZ) will be entered into the League of Victors & the Confederations' Trophy respectively. Should they qualify for the respective tournaments based on domestic performance, their slot will be passed to the next highest-ranked team in the association league. However, should the Confederations Trophy titleholder qualify for the League of Victors, their slot in the Confederations' Trophy will be vacated. This rule has and will be applied for all current and future entries.
Starting from the posting of this list, associations have 2 days to notify us if there is any mistakes with the entry list. The entry list will be taken as final after the cutoff and no appeals will be entertained.

Final Site Selection

The FFI received three bids to host the League of Victors Final. Given that the bids came from 3 of the Independents' biggest associations, the procedure had to be one that fit the bill. Representatives from all 3 associations was asked to play hide-and-seek across the Independent sphere, trying to hide a representative item somewhere in another Independent nation and prevent the opponents from finding it. In the end, it was the Poafmersian delegation, who bribed the Sonnelians, and got their precious Panjia plushie hidden in the middle of Drawkland (How did no one think of Sonnel?), and as such, Bikarish Stadium, Bikarish, Poafmersia will be hosting the League of Victors Finals.

Qualifying Round
There are 20 top-seeded teams waiting in the Round of 32. As such, the runners-up of the top 5 associations - Trebuchet Cham (ZWZ), Mancodas City (PFA), Swordsmiths AFC (OME), FC Squidbreak (SQR), Pesetih Titih (PCU), gain a bye from the Qualifying Round to make up the places. The remaining 14 teams, by seeding, will be drawn into 7 fixtures for a two-legged match. The team drawn first will play the first leg at home. Sripala FC (SPI) will be seeded ahead of Adab United (ADB) by association coefficient.

The deadline for entries to the 12th IFCF cycle will be Sept 4th 2022 at 11:59 PM EDT (UTC-4).

This will be the cutoff for the Champions League, Challengers Cup, Liga B Champions Trophy, Rising Stars Cup, and Cup Winners' Cup.

All entries since the completion of the last cycle of IFCF competition will be counted, with the latest set if multiple sets of entries were submitted. Allocations are as listed are in this post. The same principle applies to final site bids for these competitions.

As is fitting, our university system's major source are our good friends of "unaffiliated." But Dale Hartford-Phelps' remarkable turnaround with the Elephants means that Newlandian talent will be on our radar. Meanwhile, Boomhower has become a fan favorite after Brench made several deep runs, and Twineur beat out Bassabook in securing his signature for a professional contract. (We apologize for any misinformation about his nationality; he is indeed a citizen of Tikariot, not their affiliated territory of Pyazhnaya. Not that any of this matters, in the grand scheme of things. That wasn't a nihilistic aside about the futility of simulated sports endeavors, that was just us being skeptical about nationalism again. As you were.)

Don't look now, but Slogda aren't rubbish. Okay, they're not good, but it's a competitive league and they've avoided the basement a couple seasons running! The arrival of Korta, a former U21 national for Trolleborg, will hopefully bolster their sometimes-formidable defense.

Brian Sanders may be 37, but his history in Kelssek is impressive, and come on, Meldi'ita Mungwaii is somehow still around. So Ephesian look to bolster their...okay, their defense is historically not formidable, but they have to be high-endurance, and Sanders will provide plenty of experience.

And then there's the real coup; Altendalur have always been a popular club for Zwangzugians transferring overseas, but nobody had made the journey in the other direction, until now. Emeli Vilbertsdóttir's nerdy hobbies and undeniable skill managed to overcome even our mistrust of Cabañas effect, and she...only went and won the World Cup to more than justify the Robins' investment. Will it propel them to soar to greater heights?

I mean, probably not. But if it does, then we can say we totally planned it.
