Sarzonia Junior Stars (Under 21 national team)
Note: Starters in BOLD

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers/goal scoring events: Yes
Godmod scoring events: No*
RP injuries to my players: No
Godmod injuries to my players: No
Hand out yellow cards to my players: No more than one or two per match
Hand out red cards to my players: No
Godmod other events: No*
Style modifer: +2
*Stuff like choosing who takes a free kick/who scores and how is fine. Weather, someone losing their lunch is OK. True Godmods are not.

Manager: Colton Longley (51 years old)
Longley steps into the shadow cast by Diego Cristobol as full-time manager after stepping up from his primary responsibility working with defenders and defensive midfielders.

Assistant Manager: Avery Charles (44 years old)
They interviewed for the position Cristobal had working with midfielders and strikers and earned the job based on their work in both Sarzonian major football leagues, including the now-defunct women's league.

Assistant Manager: Travis Hanifer (34 years old)
The youngest brother of former manager Nathan Hanifer, he takes on Longley's work with defenders and defensive midfielders.

Goalkeepers Coach: Marissa Bingham-Sandt (36 years old)
She played keeper in multiple Sarzonian women's leagues and she married Stars legend Horace Sandt after she retired as a player.

HOME GROUND: Joe Gibbs Stadium, Woodstock (75,900 capacity; natural grass field)

GOALKEEPERS
29 Glen Baker, 21, 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, University of Nicksia
Baker won three state championships in his four years in high school. He earned the starting job midway through the college season and finished with a 5-2-2 record with a 0.87 goals against average. Assumes the starting role for the Under 21 Stars after Carlton Sandt got called up to the senior national team.
36 Jill Schlessinger, 19, 5-foot-9, 140 pounds, University of Somerset
Takes over the reserve goalkeeper role from Eleanor Keating after she aged out.
35 Morgan Lock, 18, 5-foot-11, 155 pounds, unaffiliated
They were two days too old to qualify for the Under 18 national team, but the team opted not to compete in the Under 18 World Cup. They assume the third team goalkeeper role.

DEFENDERS
3 Carlette Taylor, 21, 5-foot-4, 134 pounds, unaffiliated
Taylor is a rugged defender who often marks players who outweigh her by at least 50 pounds and are at least four inches taller. She makes up for lack of speed with positioning and reading her opponent's runs.
5 Ian McKinley, 20, 5-foot-9, 168 pounds, Somerset University
McKinley plays fullback for Somerset University, but will play a sweeper role for the Stars after the loss of sweeper Clyde Gustafsson to a torn ACL.
6 John Taylor 21, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, Portsmouth University
The younger brother of Carlette Taylor, John plays a similar style to his sister's, although with much more speed.
32 Brett Mabry, 20, 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, Woodstock Wild Reserves
Mabry earned a starting position with the Wild Reserves after initially making the parent side out of training camp. However, the Wild engineered a trade that brought them an all star defender who took minutes away from Mabry.
7 Luis Garza, 19, 5-foot-9, 175 pounds, unaffilated
Garcia is a capable offensive-minded defender and can and has played midfield for past teams. He earns a spot as a reserve defender because the team needs the depth.
44 Pat Meyers, 21, 5-foot-8, 152 pounds, unaffiliated
Meyers won a lawsuit against the Portland Timbers third division affiliate when the team dismissed them after successfully proving the club released them due to their gender non-conforming status. The technical director responsible for the decision was fired two weeks after the verdict. Meyers plays mostly halfback but can also pitch in at fullback if necessary.

MIDFIELDERS
2 Charlie Ross, 19, 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, Portland Timbers reserves
Ross is a defensive midfielder who was called upon to play more of an offensive role after injuries decimated the parent club and forced call ups. Can be used in the back line if needed.
8 Marc Kemp, 20, 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, unaffiliated
Kemp was just released from his contract with Wilmington Wanderers, a fourth division side, when a transfer offer to a third division side fell through. He also plays a defensive midfield role although he has better speed and ball handling ability than most defensive midfielders in Sarzonia.
12 Edwin Campbell, 20, 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, Wilmington Wanderers
Campbell comes to the Under 21 edition of the Stars at the recommendation of Kemp. He brings size and strength to attacking runs that also present deceptive speed and on-ball skills.
14 Joanie Rhys, 20, 5-foot-5, 140 pounds, Woodstock Justice reserves
Joanie signed a contract with the Justice right after high school after leading her scholastic league with 18 goals in 12 matches played. Her speed is unmatched at her level, but she needs to learn to adapt to equally fast players at the international level.
13 Nestor Royce, 20, 5-foot-9, 150 pounds, Saugerties Snakes
Royce earned a starting job with the Snakes as a midfielder and scored seven goals in 18 matches before injuries derailed him.
16 Marco Benignati, 21, 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, Portland Timbers reserves
Benignati can provide depth at defensive midfielder and has played fullback for his high school. Played halfback during a televised contest for Portland Junior College.

FORWARDS
15 Suzi Calderon, 20, 5-foot-7, 145 pounds, Portland Pride
Calderon brings ball skill to the table as a forward. She can drop back in a midfield role on occasion and has done so for the Pride when her team played a woman down after red cards.
20 Thurman West, 20, 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, Saugerties Snakes reserves
West also brings ball skill and creative flair to his role with the Snakes reserve 11 and scored five goals coming off the bench in the second half of games during the regular season.
22 Nick Raiden, 21, 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, Saugerties Snakes
Raiden is pure power and pace. He doesn't quite have the finesse of either of the starting forwards, but he is available for late-match offence if needed.

Starblaydia's youth team history is a very long one, but the statistic of just three titles in their near three centuries shows it's not quite as noble and glorious as one might expect from a country that has managed to win more major championships than any other at senior level. As passionate and as fervent as Starblaydia supporters are, the Under-18 and Under-21s side have not managed to draw in quite the same excitement among football fans, although the younger side has largely been much more successful in recent editions.

Staff
AF. Ázëwyn Fëanáro*, Manager, 4,086
270 Caps, 71 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Fëanáro scored the winner in the 47th Final against Valanora, denying them a title on their own turf and lifting Starblaydia to the mantle of all-time greatest team. Known for her excellent attacking play, range of passing and great eye for goal that lifts her to second in the all-time goalscorers list too, by virtue of a nearly 1-in-4 ratio, Ázëwyn Fëanáro is a symbol of grace, power and beauty from Starblaydia's golden age, some hundred and twenty-five years ago when the Cup was in its 40s. It is these qualities that the SFA managed to recapture with Fëanáro at the helm for the 78th World Cup Qualifiers, bringing her trademark poise and piercing yell to the touchlines after more than a decade of national failures. Considered to be by far the most successful and beloved manager in Starblaydia's recent history, and at this point may well be the manager for eternity.

AC. Aaron Cole, Assistant Manager, 57
92 Caps, 54 Goals (7 Caps, 4 Goals at Under-21 level)
The first person to break into the Starblaydi all-time top ten goalscorers in literally generations, Cole had the dubious honour of being the man to finally knock Simeone Di Bradini off out of that same list. His excellent footballing brain, aggression levels, tactical nous and all-round Audioslavian/Brenecian level of shithousery made him a uniquely successful striker in a nation more used to smooth flying strikers and hulking target men. These are the qualities he has brought to the national teams on a much grander scale.

ediraf once again innovated beyond all competitors with the Generation Five series of football kits, with this version first debuted at the 82nd World Cup Finals.

Generation Five-B blends a number of Starblaydia's iconic kits from across more than a quarter of a millennium, including the return of side panels and a number on the front, while mixing in new design elements such as the subtle stripes of the away kit. Both proudly sport the five gold stars - representing their record-setting five World Championships at senior level - above the Starblaydi Football Association logo. Starblaydi players will also all be wearing rainbow laces, as a symbol of diversity and inclusion.

Established in 1901, the FAC is the governing body of the sport in Baker Park, maintaining a registry of over 24,000 players between the ages of 11 and 80; 3,500 officials; 128 full member clubs and 350 associate member clubs; sponsoring 12 National Championships for men & women across all levels. in addition to 6 domestic cup competitions; and offering training programs for coaches and physiotherapists covering youth to professional certification.

DBC Record-- 17 wins, 15 defeats, 10 draws (10 appearances)

style--+2.6
Formation--3-4-1-2

National Anthem--"Hear Our Voices Commonwealth"

Nickname--since the end of the 1960's the National Team has been known as "The Bees", a period when the team's uniforms consisted of alternating black and gold hoops. While the bee is an element on the coat of arms of the Commonwealth—a long accepted heraldic symbol of industriousness--the association was actually a reference made in an Italian newspaper game story when the senior team was wearing the hooped shirts, referring to the BP team as il Bombi (the bumblebees) for their perseverance and swarming tactical play.

Colors--Black & Gold (while they are just 2 of the 5 main colors on the flag of Baker Park--Blue, Red and White are the others--black & gold have been closely associated in the nation's consciousness as representative of the country since its founding.)

Star players

Kieran Fortuna
Although looking for fame abroad Kieran is the next top goalie, he has the youth all time record of clean sheets in the Starsian Youth league and has been keeper of the year multiple times.
He is a stable and reliable pillar of support both for the national teams and his club abroad, he also is the son of former national team keeper Keenan Fortuna who is referred to as the best goalkeeper in Starsian history.
While he is young alot is expected from him but so far he is living up to all expectations and it is no doubt to say we will soon see him in the senior team with his exceptional talent.

Federico Zaratti
Another child-star who has been already in senior team aswell, Federico Zaratti is a world class defender with a great future ahead within the national team and his own team Phoenix United.
He has yet to win any major prizes with his club but he already is one of the best players on their team and is growing every season to be a very valuable asset in defence.
He also is capable of giving proper lead to any defence and forms a great team with anyone regardless of playing style he can work with any team and any player which makes him a natural talent.

Zeyna Chardan
The third child-star is Zeyna a great game-maker and creative midfielder and not to mention a formidable strategist to which can't be compared in the current generation.
She is regarded as the heart of the midfield and has been captain of many team leading nearly all of them to victory and championships during her days as a youth player.
Her father Zeyan Chardan was also a exceptional player who taught her everything he could and turned her into what some people would refer to as the next Starsian Star.

Victoria Tolisso
She is the oldest of the Tolisson sisters and has speed and a great passing reach, she is a very good team player and technical plays are a specialty of hers.
Victoria has the ability avoid any defender she can easily take on 3 on her own without worrying, however her confidence at times can also work against her which is something she has to work on.
Her experience in the SuperLeague gave her an advantage over the others and her speed and technique is an essential asset to the team especially with counter-attacks and when the game is fast-paced.

Due to technical issues the kits and stadium can't be seen here, follow this link to see the dispatch with the full information + pictures.

Cabo Azure National U21 Football Team "Las Maçaricitas"

One of the greatest enigmas in Azurean football is the consistent underperformance of youth national teams compared to the senior men, especially considering the prominence of young talent such as Amilcar Branco on the national team and the relative success of U21 alumni like Vasco Gouveia once they make the jump. Following a group-stage exit from the DBC 51 and a quarterfinal loss in the eighth Campeonato Rushmori Juvenil, the FAF made the familiar promises about investing in youth, training camps, et cetera, but the majority of interest in Cabo Azure's young players appears to come from abroad. With several alumni of the last DBC squad currently plying their trade abroad for more money than they could dream of earning domestically, providing a powerful incentive for the youngster to give their all for the steel & gold.

This U21 side should play like a carbon copy of the senior national team, albeit maybe the last carbon copy in the stack where it's hard to read because it's so faint. Rathbone will seek to control the midfield with his excellent vision, while Cunha and Furtado should provide him with options on the overlap, while the front three will attempt to overwhelm opposition with the same alacrity as Montenegro and Silveira on the senior team. This team's weakness is in its spine; de Sa seems to have already found his level, vying for promotion from the Liga Hidalgo Segundo, while Queiros and Thames both lack finesse.

Style modifier: +2

Goalkeepers
GK - Jaime Cruz - 20 y/o - Ponta Flaca
The best keeper in the LH Secundo, but after Os Esqueletos failed to win promotion again last year, his future is up in the air. Good fundamentals, but untested against high-level opposition.

Subs:
GK-Diogo Brito-17 y/o-Villa del Sol
GK-Plácido Vidal-18 y/o-Natal

Defenders
RB - Heitor Soares - 21 y/o - Blackheath (TLI)
Has leveraged solid play for Pemba since turning pro into a spot on an ambitious Licentian side. More of a stay at home fullback than his peers Branco and de Lima on the senior team.

CB - Edgar Queiros - 18 y/o - Natal
A hard-nosed, hard-tackling centerback who can play defensive mid in a pinch. An aerial threat, prone to giving up stupid penalties in the box.

CB - Kilroy Thames - 20 y/o - Perolas
Born to a Nepharim-descended family, he is a defender in the Nepharim vein; ruthless and effective.

LB - Adalberto Furtado - 18 y/o - Sao Cristobal
Another recent academy graduate, excelled at the U19 level but remains to be seen how effective he is when he's no longer the fastest on the pitch.

Subs:
CB-Emilio Mata-17 y/o-Villa Delgado
CB-Heitor Rocha-17 y/o-Villa Silva
FB-Tristão Gusmão-18 y/o-Sao Cristobal
FB-Jacó Álvares-21 y/o-Portelo

Midfielders
CM - Seth Rathbone - 18 y/o - Cabecedas
After breaking out in his first senior season at Villa Oro, Rathbone won a transfer to newly-promoted Cabecedas, but rumor has it he sees the LHP club as a stepping stone to better things. Fast, with the endurance to go box-to-box and the vision to make things happen. One of the most exciting prospects on this team.

DM - Ulisses de Sá - 20 y/o - Club Safari
An every-match starter on a Safari team which missed promotion by one point of goal difference, de Sa has surprisingly remained loyal to his hometown club. A strong tackler, but lacking in distribution.

AM - Bento Cunha - 21 y/o - Perolas
A fast, aggressive attacker who has yet to develop beyond his physical gift but lacks the finishing to be a target forward, or really any kind of forward.

Subs:
MF-Lourenço Passos-17 y/o-Portelo
MF-Ezequiel Correia-18 y/o-Cidade de Prata
MF-Quim Cordeiro-18 y/o-Sao Cristobal
MF-Rui Freitas-21 y/o-Cidade de Prata

Forwards
RW - Pio Mendonça - 17 y/o - Portelo
A product of the excellent youth system at Portelo, Pio Mendonça has seen significant minutes this season in his club's cup matches. A clinical finisher with the speed to penetrate the box, but needs to work on his positioning and off-ball movement.

CF - Nicodemo Corte-Real - 17 y/o - Corn Palace (SFD)
One of the emerging crop of big Azurean center forwards that has come into vogue, Corte-Real gained prominence domestically since hitting his growth spurt and developed a reputation as an excellent set-piece player and good with his back to goal. Won a contract with the Sanford Premier League champions Corn Palace.

LW - Tomé Fontes - 20 y/o - Perolas
One of the only forwards with significant first-team experience, Fontes quietly does a lot of the work for the Perolas offense, which combined with his good looks and humble attitude makes him a fan favorite. Needs to work on his conditioning and getting back on defense if he is going to move up to the senior team, however.

Subs:
FW-Guilherme Bastos-18 y/o-Villa Arboles
FW-Roman Carroll-17 y/o-Lagostim

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:

DELACLAVA NATIONAL UNDER-21 SOCCER TEAM
FIFTY-SECOND DI BRADINI CUP

Third place, Di Bradini Cup 15.

Trigram: DEL | Nickname: Ashlings or Baby Phoenixes | Style Modifier: +3

RP permissions: Choose anything for goalscorers and events. Ask me first for anything godmod or extreme.

Overview

Tactically, the Phoenixes are heavily offensive-minded, utilizing a 3-5-2 and relying on individual skill in the middle and up front. There is a bias towards action and chance instead of possession, and an inclination towards taking defensive risks to generate counterattack opportunities. Additionally, it is expected that the midfielders will be fully active on both ends of the field, employing manpower to have advantages in both the offensive and defense zones rather than relying on positioning. This version of the team is somewhat vertically challenged, and so will tend to thread balls low and by creating space rather than making aerial attacks in possession.

This team will engage in the psychological warfare of the game, if only because it's one of the best advantages they've got. They will not play dirty or recklessly, but they will make the game chippy, say things to get in their opponents' heads. But it's just for the contest itself; after the game - win, lose, or draw - all of that is done, and the Phoenixes will show respect at the final whistle. Despite their experience, this team will suffer from the lack of continuity in international play. There is a tendency for the players to start stronger than they finish, often looking to simply hold on at the end of games.

THE TUMBRAN NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM (U-21-side)
The Junior Eagles

Image

The defending junior world champs arrive once again in Valanora, led by manager Edmund Finnegan, eager to defend their title; last time out, a nervy penalty shootout gave them the win against Adab. This generation of kids finished third in Xanneria and Starcom, possibly with too much pressure heaped upon them. The pipeline continues, though; and in the random world of junior football, getting out of the group stages would be considered an achievement in itself.

Note: In the Adabian timeline, the U21 World Cup takes place around July-August 2036. Age is as of July 1, 2036.

The Adabian Under-21 National Football Team

If you don't believe you are the best, then you will never achieve all that you are capable of.
-Cristiano Ronaldo

BACKGROUND
Adab’s run to the final of the Under-21 World Cup two years ago, where they lost the trophy to Tumbra only after taking them to the penalties, amazed and fascinated much of the country. This, combined with the U18 team also reaching the final in their own World Cup that year (they finished third in this year’s World Cup), led many fans and analysts to believe that a new golden generation of Adabian players was on the rise. It also catapulted U21 manager and senior national team co-assistant manager Rashid Abbas to national attention, with many believing that he is effectively being groomed to be Saad Kaykali’s successor as manager of the senior team. Abbas refuses to give those rumors much attention, instead preferring to focus his attention on continuing to cultivate the best of Adab’s young talent. Now, with another U21 World Cup on the horizon, the pressure is mounting on the current batch of players to live up to their predecessors’ achievement at the World Cup two years ago. Will they be able to do it?

KIT
Image

The national team's kits, designed by Ahmad Enlil (the first President of the Football Association) in 1907, are currently manufactured by Shining Sun Company, owned by Rahman Ashurbanipal, businessman and grandson of Emperor Tizqar III.

STAFF
Manager: Rashid ABBAS - Male – born February 15, 1987 (age 49)
With his older co-assistant manager Inimabakesh Thulus intent on staying by Saad Kaykali’s side in the senior national team, Abbas is the obvious, unanimous choice for manager of the under-21 national team. Stern but caring, Abbas is popular among the youngsters, with his reputation as a Faraby legend preceding him. While it is not openly said, there have been whispers that the U21 job is Abbas’ audition for the role of sole assistant manager of the senior national team once the 67-year-old Thulus retires, and maybe even more…

Assistant manager and general coach: Yitzhak BENNETT - Male – born September 20, 1976 (age 59)
A highly popular and stabilizing influence in the senior national team, Bennett is keen to carry on the good vibes – and successful coaching – to the U21 team. He and Abbas have established a good working relationship in the senior team, which will prove to be more important than ever as they lead the youngsters to international glory.

Goalkeeping coach: Faishal AR-RASHID - Male – born August 14, 1978 (age 57)
Ar-Rashid insists that he has energy to operate as goalkeeping coach for both the senior and U21 teams and is looking forward to his new job. “It’s always good when you see young people coming up the ranks, emerging from the academies and training camps,” he said. “I can’t wait to work with them.”

Physio: Hamza RIDHA - Male – born January 15, 1983 (age 53)
The ever-loyal and reliant senior national team physio, he did not hesitate when Abbas asked him to help out with the U21 squad. Commands the unanimous respect of fellow staff and players.

STADIUM
Image

Adab City Stadium, the pride and joy of Adabian football, was completed in 1940. Located in the northern part of Adab City, the stadium was able to accommodate 40,000 people at the time of its opening. Renovations in 1978 made it an all-seater stadium and expanded its capacity to 55,350. Later it increased to 75,000 following upgrades in 2009-10 and then 76,500 after another upgrade in 2019. It is currently home to the Adabian national football team and Adab City FC.

TACTICS AND FORMATION
The team will use 4-3-2-1, the "Christmas tree" formation, with an emphasis on gegenpressing – immediately working to take back possession after losing the ball and launching a quick counterattack before the opponent can take the initiative. Any opposition players with the ball will find themselves swarmed and cut off quickly.

Team Information
After giving up four goals in a do or die game against Pasarga’s U-21 side, Zeta Reka returns to perhaps the most prestigious youth tournament in sports. With an evolved senior side, youngsters from Zeta Reka are moving into a new system of play. “We’re all excited for the progress Rekan fooball is making” new head coach Antonije Markowić said in his first press conference man manager, in a suit and tie, Markowić continued to expound on the side, and the national team system at large “We were stagnant, but the core of this team could be the core of tomorrow. The Baptism of Fire was something these youngster saw when they were getting their first roles at a youth level, and they want to eclipse the successes Rekan football has had before.”

Tactics and aims
Image
The Junior team looks to strike on the counter, play from the back, play narrowly, and attack high up. “A youthful squad will employ youthful strategies molded around their coach and the senior team’s styles.” columnist Djoko Weljkowić wrote for RekanSport. “The team is physical, but will also try to stay solid as the game progresses, which will be useful as the tournament progresses.

The back three consists of two players who will be trusted with the ball, and a third smash mouth center back who is father backed up by a sweeper keeper, creating a back center which should be almost impossible to break, possibly impossible, “One never knows with children,” Weljkowić said in the papers, “a tall keeper running out is a bit scary, but Dunst could make it work.”

The midfielders have roles which will provide assistance to the forward while trying to keep the game solid. A ball winning midfielder is in the holding position. Desimirić has been trusted in this role after being a standout rotational player for Aleiusia Capital. Capital’s attacking midfielder Tim Ulrich will be incrusted with entering relatively wider spaces while going up the pitch, and helping score more than his partners. The other midfielder is meant to make plays down the middle. One missing midfielder is Haydn Scwartz, who had a ligament injury, Scwartz’s loss was Kitić’s gain.

The forwards play with a classic big man and little man dynamic, which could be a big man little woman dynamic if Ana Rumen comes in for hot prospect Stjepan Vlaović. The big men are teenage brute Tomi Djokowić and the slowly rebuilding Janko Lončar. The forwards themselves will play deep to encourage goals on the counter. The forward will also be the first line of defense, and must stop short and order distribution. Either grit and guts, or beautiful positioning and interceptions will be sufficient.
Formation: 3-5-2

Chromatik U-21 Squad
The Junior Anomalies

Staff
Manager: Claude Pare-Achel (ZWZ), 60
Assistant Manager: Mikhail Dushov, 57
Physio: Anna-Maria Myers, 43
Formation: 3-4-3
Style Modifier: +4
U-21 Record: 24-13-17

After winning four titles in five seasons, Claude Pare-Achel of Zwangzug remains as the U-21 Manager for Chromatika, with the CFF hoping that his success in the CCFA can lead to the Young Anomalies continuing to break the Round of Sixteen. He'll have the best of the CCFA and some players out of there who've already made it big to work with, but with a competition as brutal as the Di Bradini Cup, he'll have his work cut out for him. This is the most offensive squad Chromatika has ever had representing it - with defenders that like to press, with midfielders that like to shoot, and with forwards hungry for goals.

The Roster
Goalkeepers
GK 1. Siane Sundrifter, 19, Z'ai'ai Institute of Technology (CMT) | 6 ft 7 in
GK 12. Britta Ullmann, 21, Urrheddiao State University (CMT) | 6 ft 2 in
GK 23. Raoul Carpathia, 17, Tikariot City FC Academy (TKT) | 6 ft 9 in
Siane Sundrifter, 19 - Z'ai'ai Institute of Technology (CMT)
Taking up football at the age of seventeen, Sundrifter burst onto the scene as a freshman in the latest season, being second in goals allowed, only behind one Lorée Bautista. He's best when he's given space to play the ball while surveying the field, though his work on set pieces has improved greatly in the last two seasons. A very vocal keeper who can keep his side focused on the game, his presence on the pitch can be a greater asset than his play itself.

Britta Ullmann, 21 - Urrheddiao State University (CMT)
A brutish keeper who thrives on contact, Ullmann loves to go after the ball. Opponents have exploited this by doing a final pass before the shot, but she's gotten better at reading situations to avoid the obvious danger situations. Someone who likes to go with the flow, Ullmann can get inside opponents' heads or, at times, be overtaken by the moment. Has a passion often times not found in Chromatik players.

Raoul Carpathia, 17 - Tikariot City FC Academy (TKT)
A tall keeper at 6' 9", and he's still growing. An aggressive sweeper-keeper who likes to challenge would-be scorers while possessing the reflexes to dive to the other side when needed. Can get lost in the flow of the match, but Carpathia has already been clocked by the CFF as a player to keep an eye on during development. Looking for a side that can help him with the cerebral side of the game as well as patience and cooperation with the defense.

Defensive Backs
RB 2. Grayson Fillar, 21, Cazadores Cathair (Audioslavia) | 6 ft 3 in
CB 3. Cylie Nodis, 21, Alnio University of the Arts | 6 ft 1 in
LB 4. Twilight Mixon, 20, Sanar University | 6 ft 2 in
RB 13. Xiang Xiaodan, 21, Pùr State University | 6 ft 9 in
CB 14. Ding Huo, 20, Z'ai'ai Institute of Technology | 6 ft 4 in
LB 15. Pavlo Kornijchuk, 21, University of Myana | 6 ft 7 in
RB Grayson Fillar, 21 - 1830 Cathair (AUD)
Second oldest by age but third in order of appearance to the national spotlight amongst the Fillar household, Grayson Fillar is a bullheaded, stubborn, physical right back will will outright impose his will on his opponents. Overshadowed by his younger sister, the electric Baillaire, Grayson was the one who actually chose to finish high school in Chromatika before making the move to Cazadores Cathair. Though he says that he's proud of his sister (and he probably is), there is a deeply competitive streak in him that demands that he also make a name for himself atop Chromatika's slew of Fillars. On the pitch, he knows how to use his size to its utmost advantage, almost appearing larger than he is at times. He also understands the importance of momentum and tone, leading to his not being shy to commit a foul if one is needed. He'll be asked to lead this defense.

CB Cylie Nodis, 21 - Alnio University of the Aarts (CMT)
Once on the U-18 squad and now a Meerkat, Cylie Nodis's claim to fame is being perhaps the most offensive center back in Chromatik history. With a nose for the ball on every set piece, some deep crosses and the ability to thread the needle using either foot, it's been stated that she should change to a Defensive Midfielder at times. She's set in her ways, though, and insists she should play at fullback. (Un)fortunately, she's proficient enough that nobody can really force her to do anything otherwise.

LB Twilight Mixon, 20 - Sanar University (CMT)
A previous U-18 starter, Twilight is a force to be reckoned with both defending and scoring off of set pieces. She also has the fundamentals to play the position, but it's her offensive side of things that really stands out.

RB Xiang Xiaodan, 21 - Pùr State University (CMT)
A finesse-oriented defender, Xiang Xiaodan doesn't make a lot of contact. Instead, she pressures the opposition into making unforced errors that can be exploited by counterattacks. Her pace and cerebral play has frustrated many an opponent.

CB Ding Huo, 21 - Z'ai'ai Institute of Technology (CMT)
A physical enforcer who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty, Ding Huo is a tough out for any would-be scorer that must be solved if they are to have a presence in front of the net. Often times than not, he can take care of at least one player.

LB Pavlo Kornijchuk, 21 - University of Myana (CMT)
Pavlo Kornijchuk is an aerial savant who can clear almost any cross that nears his vicinity. He doesn't have the best of pace, but he does have a motor that never stops, meaning he'll be fresh late in games when offenses have tired.

Midfielders
RM 5. Martha Baum, 20, Z'ai'ai Institute of Technology | 5 ft 9 in
CM 6. Boleslava Aleksandrova, 21, Staramara Tech University | 6 ft 3 in
CM 7. Baillaire Fillar, 20, Cazadores Cathair (Audioslavia) | 6 ft 3 in - CAPTAIN
LM 8. Moreno Keel, 18, Myana Northwestern High School | 6 ft 1 in
RM 16. Yeveseyeva Nadka Maximovna, 20, Eyrods Tech | 5 ft 11 in
CM 17. Gina Powell, 20, Lanar University | 6 ft 5 in
CM 18. René Aigner, 19, Urrheddiao State University | 6 ft 8 in
LM 19. Liao Hai, 21, Felswyr State University | 6 ft 2 in
RM Martha Baum, 20 - Z'ai'ai Institute of Technology (CMT)
Now with the Hellcats, Baum is a huge asset. She may be a bit short, but with precise passing skills and a flair of the dramatic, there's definitely potential there. She does prefer to be under the radar, though, which has been the only stumbling block on a promising early career. If she can get some confidence, though? Her stock would rise almost as fast as someone like Kuznetsov.

CM/AM Baillaire Fillar, 20 - 1830 Cathair (AUD)
The flashiest of the Fillars, Baillaire subscribes to the Hermaeus Mora/Haley Hauser school of Attacking Midfielders, or, shoot first and ask questions later. With a creative and dramatic flair that doesn't really exist in other Chromatiks from the past, Baillaire is a playmaker through and through. After an AOCAF where she showed some moxy while filling in for Hauser in an injury, she's the reason why there's talk that Chromatik NT Manager Richard Valens and Assistant Manager Tim Landers might try to come up with a formation to field the combination of Kuznetsov, Hauser, and Baillaire Fillar. For this tournament, though? She's been given a License to Kill and shoot on sight.

CM Boleslava Aleksandrova, 21 - Staramara Tech University (CMT)
Would be a name to watch if Chromatika wasn't so stacked at this position already. Boleslava, who hails from the Ukranian/Russian side of the northeast corner of Myana Island, is a holding midfielder with the ball skills to either transition up the pitch with the attack or safely help out the defense. This versatility can potentially help her in her future with the national team - for now, she's still forming to become the player she was meant to be.

LM Moreno Keel, 18 - Myana Northwestern High School (CMT)
Keel has an eye for flair and creativity that isn't present in most Chromatiks. Famed for a stutter-step that can juke unsuspecting opposition, his only drawback is the health of his left ankle, which has given him trouble in his young career. If he can keep that under control, he's got a good future ahead of him. He just went a full season without missing a single game, so there is definitely hope for longevity there.

RM Yeveseyeva Nadka Maximovna, 20 - Eyrods Tech (CMT)
Her name is a mouthful, but Yeveseyeva, or "Yev" for short, is a more consistent version of Baum. She may not be as dramatic as Martha, but Yev can make the necessary passes to press the attack, and then drop back to help with the defense as needed. One thing is for certain - Yev most definitely has a career in the Red League waiting for her when she graduates (unless she's whisked away elsewhere).

CM Gina Powell, 20 - Lanar University (CMT)
A through-ball specialist, Powell is not a shooter. With a nice long-ball and decent speed, Powell was part of a Lanar University squad that scored 71 goals in 30 games, most in the CCFA, leading the squad with 38 assists.

CM René Aigner, 19 - Urrheddiao State University (CMT)
Latest in the crop of holding midfielders, Aigner's claim to fame is her frame, which can topple almost anyone she chooses to tackle. René takes no prisoners.

LM Laio Hai, 21 - Felswyr State University (CMT)
A sniper, Laio Hai loves to shoot from almost anywhere and ask questions second.

Forwards
RW 9. Emilie Kruetzberg, 21, Z'ai'ai Institute of Technology | 6 ft 3 in
ST 10. Karra Oveni, 20, Colonial Sile (Vilita) | 6 ft 5 in
LW 11. Edith Fillar, 17, Shamrock Cathair (Audioslavia) | 5 ft 7 in
RW 20. Gerry Hawtorne, 19, Urrheddiao State University | 6 ft 2 in
ST 21. Sandara Park, 17, Chromatik U-18s | 6 ft 5 in
LW 22. Moraguse Merle, 21, University of Wirr Tsi | 6 ft 8 in
RW Emilie Kruetzberg, 21 - Z'ai'ai Institute of Technology (CMT)
Recognizable due to a magnificent mane of red hair, Emilie Kruetzberg is a dynamic playmaker who burst into the scene last season for the Hellcats. She is a swarmer, endlessly trying to be around the ball on the attacking end to tire out the defender and take the shot. She can be a tad overaggressive at times - she led the CCFA in offside calls last season - but she scores or contributes to scoring chances enough times to make up for it.

ST Karra Oveni, 20 - Colonial Sile (VIL)
The model Chromatik striker of the new school, that is, the supportive striker, Oveni is someone who doesn't mind getting by on rebounds and letting other positions have a chance at goals. She can take over games by her persistent presence in front of the goal and her ability to work with other playmakers.

LW/LM Edith Fillar, 17 - Chromatik Central High School (CMT)
The youngest of the Fillars, Edith is the next coming of Megan Kelly, or the Chromatik winger who's short but can run circles around would-be defenders and take over the game due to where she is on the pitch. She may not be the quickest off the ball, but she has the relentlessness that has been present on many great Chromatik wingers. With the mindset of a drill sergeant who is definitely the strictest on herself, Edith's career is just beginning.

RW Gerry Hawthorne, 19 - Urrheddiao State University (CMT)
A model citizen on and off the pitch whose demeanor is so disarming that he can catch opponents flat-footed. Possesses an assassin's mindset of deciding when the right moment to strike is and then making the most of the opportunity. Gerry does not intend to attend the CCFA after his Lhor U-18s career is over.

ST Sandara Park, 17 - Chromatik U-18s (CMT)
Park has been at the center of the perennial Youth League champions, being at the right place at the right time and being deadly with short-ranged shots. She's more of a poacher than a pure shooter, but the way that she is where she needs to be goes beyond anything that's usually taught.

LW Moraguse Merle, 21 - University of Wirr Tsi (CMT)
The best player on a bad squad, Moraguse Merle is a consistent performer with a decent right foot and an even better left foot who can shoot from any range and make plays with her head.

Home Away Third
Modifier: +1

Manager: Kirk McDonagh Image, age 58
Assistant: Timi'sala Koarena Image, age 46

Keepers
GK: Lukáš Hanzelka, age 21, Duke of the North
GK: Jaromír Janoušek, age 19, Tanrısal
GK: Rudolf Klarić, age 19, Unioneers Image
Hanzelka is the only real talent in the keeper selection for the Young Wanderers that has proven his worth, as Jaromir at Tani had a very poor campaign in the Youth League last season. He is an imposing, tall, and very talented keeper with impressive reflexes for a man of his size. Jaromír Janoušek has a lot of promise but the lack of consistency season in and season out at the youth level does pose a few questions, but will continue to serve as the number two, while Rudolf Klarić gets a nod simply for training in Eura with a fairly good team which in theory should have him be better than his peers.

Defenders
LB: Amadeo Enríquez, age 19, CA Paulinthal
L/CB: Franciska Szathmári, age 19, Hellinic Rouge (F)
CB: Nadica Jović, age 21, CA Paulinthal (F)
CB: Sebestyen Sebök, age 21, Galatica
CB: Dorina Szél, age 18, Galatica (F)
CB: Annamária Sághi, age 19, Hellinic Rouge (F)
RB: Vjekoslava Barišić, age 19, Baskita FC (F)
R/CB: Ompoly Sultisz, age 21, CA Paulinthal
Strongwoman Jović earns her spots through their obvious physical strength but both also exhibit good football acumen for their age, often in the right spots at the right time to disrupt attacks. Sultisz just edges out Kristiansen on the right hand side thanks to the versatility to play in the center of defense or on the right flank, as well as showing the ability to play further forward if absolutely needed, having decent crossing ability in the attack and a good header of the ball. Sebestyen Sebök earns a spot on the team and at the starting position with a good domestic campaign that was unexpected from the Galatica youth team, and Amadeo completes the CAP presence on the back line with CAP's youth team being notoriously difficult to try and beat last season.

Midfielders
RW: Dunya Areebah Asfour, age 17, Baskita FC (F)
RW: Sumaiya Zakiyyah Aswad, age 19, Stein-los Turkish (F)
A/MCLR: Sebestyen Sallay, age 19, Chromatik Image
MC: Moore Lafontaine, age 21, Stein-los Turkish
MC: Jadranko Lončar, age 20, Hellinic Rouge
MC: Tomáš Zeman, age 20, Baskita FC
LW: Jana Ducháčová, age 19, Duke of the North (F)
LW: Dominik Sedlák, age 21, Baskita FC
For a second straight tournament, there is a lot to like with the midfield but there is also quite a few questions as to well they will handle the pressure of an international tournament. The most promising talent is of course Sallay in the middle of the park, a holdover from last tournament and with such an amount of versatility that they would be hard to pass up, with the skill to back it up as well. Jadranko Lončar has shown good defensive work domestically and gets the nod as the ball winning midfielder, although Lafontaine similarly has risen as an option through the same merit last season. Aswad on the right seems a solid choice with Turkish's youth team being a near unstoppable attacking force last season, with her crossing being a key reason why, to be mirrored on the left with Dominik Sedlák, who has helped see Baskita have a bit of a resurgence, at least as far as being a youth production team with Zeman also getting a call up from that squad.

Strikers
ST: Nikolett Horváth, age 19, Oslograd Academy Image (F)
ST: Nawar Taqwaa Bazzi, age 21, Stein-los Turkish
ST: Adelbert Mezei, age 19, Baskita FC
ST: Vésteinn Kristófersson, age 21, Lunas FC
Despite being the only holdover from the last team in this tournament, Horváth has lost her spot as the starter due to not being the every match first choice at her club team while her peers have been lighting it up in the Youth League domestically. The premier among those is Bazzi from Turkish who was on the end of a lot of the crosses from Aswad, something that will hopefully be able to be replicated in the national team with Bazzi's quick first step and knack for being in the right spot at the right time. Mezei shores up the Baskita revival, with the striker having a good amount of pace but perhaps lacks a little in the shot power, although has good accuracy. Kristófersson is a big lad from Lunas who can put his body in the way and get headers on target, although he will likely only be used in games late when the side is desperate for a goal, as Horváth is far and away the more gifted technical striker and can create her own opportunities rather than rely on others, making her an excellent sub to bring off the bench or as the rotation option.

About Muralos
Muralos is a cosmopolitan collection of islands located in the corner of the Far East: RL’s Sakhalin and Kuril Islands. It is home to a population of Russian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and indigenous (Ainu, Nivkh, and Orok) origins. The official language of Muralos is Esperanto- a language designed to be universal and easy to learn- but the population is exceptionally multilingual, with each citizen knowing an average of 4 languages.

The Muralosian Under-21 National Soccer Team
(also known as the Young Hawks, after Muralos’ national animal, the Muralosian Hawk)
The Muralosian national under-21 soccer team represents Muralos in association football competition against other U-21 teams. The Young Hawks' performance in this edition of the Di Bradini Cup will be a harbinger of senior Muralosian national team's future. A number of starting players on the senior team wish to retire from soccer in the next five years, so members of this year's U-21 squad may very well be playing for Muralos in the next few Independent Associations Championships and World Cup Qualifiers. The Muralosian national under-21 soccer team is coached by Pavel Li and Hina Kageyama, both assistant coaches of the senior Muralosian national soccer team.

Like the senior Muralosian national soccer team, the Muralosian national under-21 soccer team is gender-inclusive; unlike the current roster of the senior team, it features a starting lineup of men, women, and non-binary players, as opposed to an all-male starting lineup. A few members of the U-21 team are also on the senior national team and the U-18 team, which advanced to the Round of 16 at the 14th RTC U-18 World Cup in Xanneria and Starcom. As of now, none of the Young Hawks play outside of Muralos, but many are interested in securing contracts with overseas club teams.

Kits
The Muralosian national under-21 team uses one kit with the national colors of Muralos. This kit is identical to the kit of the senior Muralosian national team.

Starting Lineup of the Muralosian National Under-21 Soccer Team
  • #1 - Tutin - Goalkeeper - 17
Tutin is somewhat of a prodigy, having been the starting goalkeeper for Okha Young Men's Academy since his first year there. In four years, he has recorded 623 saves, with a GAA of 0.038 and won two Interscholastic Federation (FIS) championships. Tutin is of Nivkh ancestry; although his family took the surname Kolesnikov during the imperial Russian period of Muralos – around 1870 – he has dropped the surname to keep with Nivkh custom.
  • #2 - Andrea Lin - Left back - 16
Often seen twirling a drumstick, Lin is a skilled percussionist as well as a starting defender for the HSVPA girl's soccer team. Due in large part to Lin's performance, HSVPA conceded just 5 goals in their most recent season and advanced to the final of the FIS championships. (Note that while Lin plays for the girls' soccer team, they do not use she/her pronouns.)
  • #4 - Rebeka Mori - Center back - 21
Mori played for Nord-Urbo High School and now studies microbiology at the University of Oleo, where she plays for their University League team and works in the biology department's Permafrost Research Center.
  • #5 - Elena Kuznetsova - Center back - 18
Kuznetsova is a senior at Nord-Urbo High School and a defender on the girls' soccer team there. She is also a prospective University League athlete. Kuznetsova's long-range forward passes are extremely reliable and contribute to Nord-Urbo High School's rather flowing brand of soccer – an outlier in a country that emphasizes a more straightforward, physical style of play at the high school level, with plenty of communication between defenders and midfielders.
  • #3 - Aminda Mori - Right back - 21
Rebeka's fraternal twin sister, she plays for the University League team at the University of Havenurbo, where she studies digital art and design. The women's teams of U. Havenurbo and U. Oleo have a long-lasting rivalry, and recently faced each other in the June 2020 women's soccer University League final.
  • #6 - Daniela Safonova - Left midfield - 17
Safonova is often in attendance at senior national team games; despite not being on a senior roster, she was frequently interviewed about the national teams' performance at the International Football Cup in Squidroidia, along with the 11th Independent Associations Championship in Havynwilde. For this reason, RTM-1 - Muralos’s national sports television network - named her an honorary correspondent in 2020. As an athlete, Safonova is often characterized by RTM-1 and other sports media as a young version of senior national team midfielder Galina Shchedrina: composed and capable of scoring and crossing with impressive range.
  • #7 - Daniel "Lerta" Donaldson - Center midfield, team captain - 21
While at Zamenhof High School, Donaldson made major contributions to their semifinal and runner-up finishes in 2018 and 2019 FIS championships in boys' soccer. In 2019, Donaldson enrolled at the Havenurbo Institute of Technology, where he studies mathematics and plays for the soccer team – reigning University League men's soccer champions. In the summer of 2020, he was invited to practice with the former Muralosian men's national team, becoming the second African-Muralosian player in the team's history and the youngest player on the former squad. Donaldson is now the second-youngest player on the Muralosian national team.
  • #8 - Georgo Zhong - Center midfield - 21
Zhong is a current teammate of Lerta Donaldson at Havenurbo Tech and an economics major there. While a student at Nord-Urbo High School, he scored a hat-trick against Urbego High School, securing Nord-Urbo's first FIS qualification in 10 years.
  • #11 - Niutanimats - Right midfield - 17
Niutanimats currently attends Nord-Kurilo High School in the Kuril Islands. She is mentored by senior Muralosian national team member Aleksandro Kim, who grew up in Nord-Kurilo and often returns to hold summer soccer clinics in the relatively remote, sparsely populated city.
  • #9 - Daniil Lee - Striker - 16
Lee was a player for the senior Muralosian national team as well. He scored his first goal for the senior national team in a 3-0 win against Grey County at the 12th Independent Associations' Championship, and scored one more goal against Qasden during the 88th World Cup qualifiers, in a 2-3 loss. Lee's scrappy moves belie his efficiency. He excels at creating chances in situations that require fighting for the ball – like corner kicks and crosses – and he often translates these chances into goals.
  • #10 - Eunji Lee - Striker - 20
Lee is the starting striker for the women's University League soccer team of Urbego National University. She is particularly valuable to the Muralosian U-21 team for her ability to accelerate and kickstart successful goal-scoring runs, often from unexpected and oblique angles. Lee is also readily recognized by her hair, which she wears in a long ponytail and often dyes orange.

Reserves of the Muralosian National Under-21 Soccer Team
  • #18 - Kuukleke - Goalkeeper - 18 - Urbego High School - male
  • #17 - Roberto Chen Morishita - Right back - 18 - Poronaysk Academy of the Sciences - male
  • #29 - Samuil Gurevich - Center back - 19 - Havenurbo Institute of Technology - male
  • #28 - Jiwoo Choi - Center back - University of Oleo - non-binary
  • #19 - Mari Lin - 21 - Right back - Havenurbo Institute of Technology and CSKA Urbego - female
  • #30 - Yukine Zhang - Left midfield - 15 - Urbego Félicién de Ménil High School - female
  • #32 - Esperanta Kim - Center midfield - 20 - University of Okcidenta-Havenurbo - female
  • #21 - Yutian Liu - Center midfield - FC Spartak Aleksandrovsk - 19 - male
  • #23 - Maraĵa (Marazha) Collins - Right midfield - 17 - Nord-Urbo High School - non-binary
  • #20 - Liskit - Striker - 18 - Nord-Urbo Women's College - female
  • #22 - Varvara Kuznetsova - 19 - Technical College of Poronaysk - female

Manager
Faeron Soldarian
Age: Elf
Faeron's first foray into management with the side during the last tournament went surprisingly well, with the former national team midfielder having been able to successfully guide the team into the knockout stages of the tournament. It seems that the football acumen that the player accrued during his decades long career came into use and is seen more than just being appointed by royal favor after his appointment as the royal ambassador to the VSC. One good tournament though is not quite what will have people speaking his name for future jobs, as some may say he fluked his way through the tournament, and so he has to go again and replicate or improve upon those results to be truly recognized by the most diehard of supporters of the national team program as a good manager.

Assistant Manager
Kasper Volheim
Age: 43
The experience of dealing with youth teams, even if it was only as just an assistant manager, paid off quite well for Volheim as he is now a key fixture in the national team program and likely to stay so long as the success at both the youth level and the senior level sustains itself. His ability to communicate well with the youth players definitely augments Faeron's sheer footballing intelligence and the two make quite the formidable pairing as the braintrust of the team.

Keepers
GK: Caspar Engström, age 18, Holdenburg Image
GK: Prisc Corrales, age 21, Mliona-Lpaka Image
GK: Ulrik Johnsen, age 21, Hondo FC
Two years on from their first inclusion of the team and it is clear that both Caspar and Corrales have used the time to develop their skills quite nicely, but now they have an unexpected challenger for the number one shirt as Ulrik Johnsen enters the fray after being named a starter at Hondo despite being only twenty at the time and had a remarkable year in the defense, as far as the Owls are concerned. While the upside of both foreign based prospects is likely quite higher than Johnsen, there is absolutely no substitute for experience, especially at a high level like the Premiership is, and Johnsen looks to have swept in and grabbed that number one jersey, with Corrales currently being designated the backup in case of injury.

Defenders
CB: Louise Løvoll, age 21, Mar Sara FC (F)
CB: Samira Lindström, age 20, Raynor City United (F)
CB: Johanna Metzger, age 21, Raynor City United (F)
CB: Goio Quintana, age 21, FC Capri
CB: Pär Berglund, age 21, Soldarian FC
R/CB: Florian Beike, age 18, Turoki Tide Image
To be a Vanorian defender is to ask to go against the very nature and footballing culture of an empire, of a longstanding history of being a team that likes to hold possession or press on the attack. Yet there always must be those who play back and defend rather than get the glamour of being an attacking player with goals and assists to have people sing of their laurels and importance. Fortunately the side is blessed with a number of talented defenders, all of whom except Beike are getting first team football in the Premiership. That level of competition is hard to beat, especially as it comes at some of the biggest clubs in the Empire. That is why the United pairing are going to be two of the starters while Louise Løvoll will also get to start, after narrowly missing out on a starting position during the last tournament and is quite improved since then.

Midfielders
LW: Julia Holt, age 21, Ulsa Image (F)
LW: Nico Lindberg, age 21, Ibini FC
MC: Liam Sæthre, age 21, Mâ Âlâmëómë Image
MC: Hans Sørlie, age 19, Ibini FC
MC: Julia Strömberg, age 18, Hondo FC (F)
MC: Josefine Rygh, age 21, Mar Sara FC (F)
AMC: Emilia Torgersen, age 21, Shamrock Cathair Image (F)
A/MC: Kensel Méndez, age 21, FC Capri
L/RW: Andreas Bjerk, age 21, Burnaby SC Image
A/MRLC: Dominik Sommer, age 18, Soldarian FC
In theory, this is where the team goes from strength to strength, as the midfield is stacked with loads of talent, particularly of Torgersen playing the attacking midfield role with Shamrock Cathair. Liam Sæthre looks to continue to be the fulcrum of the midfield but will now be partner by Josefine Rygh from Mar Sara, once again showing that first team experience is being valued highly by Soldarian and his staff. There is no denial of Sommer's vast potential but Bjerk still looks a tad more refined at this point in both of their careers and gets the nod on the right wing, although Sommer can play nearly anywhere in the middle of the park comfortably. Holt maintains her starting position from last tournament after a solid performance on the left wing and keeping up her development with her time in Eura paying off quite well for her career trajectory.

Forwards
ST: Jacob Kvalvåg, age 21, TSV Marzig Image
ST: Reinaldo Sierra Núñez, age 21, FC Capri
ST/AMC: Julia Hahn, age 18, Hondo FC (F)
ST: Klara Holmberg, age 18, FC Yassaca Image (F)
Jacob Kvalvåg has gone from the second choice to the tip of the spear now after playing second fiddle last tournament and has continued to raise his game with starts and playing time with Marzig, being a decent finisher of the ball with better off the ball movement than he had two years ago. The question of who to partner with him is a tricky one, with all three other players quite formidable in their own right but Klara Holmberg has been part of winning tradition at Yassaca and with form so inconsistent with youth, augmenting it with confidence and the exposure to a winning culture gives her the ever so slight edge over the other two.

Team Personality
The Darmeni team will never argue with the referee. Indeed, if anything needs to be brought to the attention of the referee it will be done by either the Captain or Vice-Captain in a respectful manner (or to the fourth-official by the Manager). With regards to foul/dirty play, the Darmeni team will not provoke, or retaliate against any opposition player. Darmeni's expect each team to keep to itself and deal with its own trouble makers; any opposition player who attempts to prevent a conflict by pushing or pulling a Darmeni away from the scene will be promptly told off, as that is the duty of the Darmeni Captain.

Nonetheless, Darmen will play in a relatively aggressive manner. Tackles will be conducted in a way which ensures the opponent ends up on the ground, but causing injury will be avoided as much as possible. On set pieces, Darmenis will stand their ground and will not be easily pushed around, they will not however engage in hugging. In fact, if any opposing player tries to push past them, it is not uncommon for the Darmeni player to feign resistance before simply stepping aside and watching as the opposing player stumbles past on their way to ground. This occasionally backfires however, as the referee may mistake the incidence as having been a foul in the box.

In the epic of time, it's a rather notable recurring theme for the stories to take long breaks. After all, a good legend needs a timeskip every once in awhile, look at anime! Granted, this isn't anime; rather, this is simply a return to a competition whose turfs we haven't surfed since the "Great Refresh".

The Qasden Association Football Association (QAFA) is has never been as lively as it has now, not since the era of Jon Merritt, anyways. After the dismissal of luminary manager, Sylvia Zimari, the organization has seen an unprecedented amount of success, doubly so considering the lengthy chasm that grew in the wake of our last title. With the reins of the NT now resting in the hands of one of their own, Icarus Darsten set out to push the Vans to heights left uncharted for cycles. The efforts shifted back to offense, a specialty of the former captain, who took his prolonged career under Merritt with great gratitude and a fervent appetite for near-divine strategy. Coupled with his former team-mate in Ryan Xandreas, the refurbished top cats of Qasden embarked on yet another regional journey, which for some reason became the test grounds for nearly all of our managers so far. And so, those schmucks travelled north to the Vilitan Cove with a nation's nihilistic ambitions chained to their every limb. The contest was perilous...but like those before them, an inane streak of gold pursued them.

AOCAF 65 was particularly special for those who followed the club since its humble origins, mostly due to the promotion of Darsten. Other than Merritt, he was, after all, the face of Qad Football. So when the games began with a swift victory over fearsome Vilita and Turori in their own front yard, the pessimists' hearty jeers were conjoined with the appraisals of those who stayed loyal all this time, like an adult to their favorite childhood tv characters. With no sign of stopping, the Vans just kept winning and winning, pushing themselves further and further up the blue-crested ladder to AO victory. Strong teams went home early, old scars vanished in a matter of moments, it was like the stars had aligned for this particular run to overtake the rampant, dismissive expectations back home. The joyride would eventually end in a pewter-struck finish; losses to Squornshelan Remnant States and Demot would ensnare Qasden one step short of the podium. As tragic as the losses were, to start out as dominant as they were, reaching heights only ever achieved twice before and the first with no draws nor losses, it was like a fine biofuel towards a new, brighter era in River's End Athletics.

But the story of QAFA's Great Post-Zimari Revival didn't start there. Instead, we venture out to Sarzonia, home of a once dead, biologically-specific tournament from the gravels of the outer enigma. The Jenna Raven Cup, assumably named after a famed female from the gas ball-loving country, had become the premier event for all things Women's Football. Spanning 2 editions of the Women's World Cup's 15-tourney timeline, the rebranded showdown had reintroduced sex-specific sports to the multiversal plane, just in time for the start of the association's dire desire to expand the ancient trophy cabinet. The local delegation consisted primarily of students from the National Academy, the central hub for the nation's footballing stars of yestertomorrow, with all but 2 names only being known on paper. Zinnia Thurstan came along as the crew's captain, her once glamorous position as the starting keeper of Sylvia's plans now waned into a sideshow, credited mostly to the domestic success in Tommy Waluigi. Her appearance had turned on a few ears, but it was the manager who spun heads and cameras alike towards the tertiary tournament. Valentijn Munson, the first woman to ever start for the Qasden National Team, a midfielder worthy of the title of Captain following Darsten's own retirement. The legend herself was the key selling point for media outlets to promote the show; and with it, the real seeds of glory were sown.

After a brutal group stage and even narrower knockouts, the WoVans had somehow managed to haggle their way to the championship itself, the only smudge left on their otherwise-gleaming trip to victory being a rematch in the mighty Muralos. It was a long and treacherous battle...but the starved deed had been done. In the dying breaths of extra time, Munson and Qasden had done something the country hasn't been able to do since the 70th Cup of Harmony: win. The streets lit up like it was the Caturday Festival, kit-stained families rejoiced as the woes of insurmountable proportions had finally subsided. The long dormant Victory Committee was brought back to spangle a third star onto the crest, bringing about a relief of euphoric anxiety and celebration. The Vans had done it, there was another trophy to finally hold.

Valentijn and the WoVans were compensated generously for their heroic triumphs. Numerous players starring the golden squad had been signed to storied clubs abroad, edging them closer to the star-studded gauntlet of the National Team. As for Valentijn, her actions and leadership helped amplify her legacy beyond the field and into the sidelines, truly a first for any Qad athlete. With another round of qualifiers awaiting the nation, it was inevitable that there would be a demand for more strong talent, heralding from the hopes of another shape on the feline that now defines the new generation of football. It only made sense to weave Munson's name into a tournament named after another great in the sport's history, which brings us to the Di Bradini Cup. According to some dusty records, Qasden had long since left the U21 field to pursue other endeavors, last gracing the tournament in DBC 46, to no success. It's now up to Valentijn Munson to repair the country's relationship with the most historic of non-WC tournaments, so keep your seatbelts fastened and your bass boost blastin', because it's time for the greatest reappearance since CoH 72. It it my honor, ladies and gentlecats, to welcome back the UnderVans, right here, right now, at DBC 52, the 73rd U21 World Cup!
