I take it you mean June, but uh; regardless, I think it'd be best to try submitting your drafts very, very soon.

Unless you don't feel like they're anywhere close to ready. Then I'd say ditch the contest and just try to make them work as a normal issue.

Last time we did not receive telegrams about winning the contest. Or at least, I did not.

As for ETA, it can be a time-consuming process. Sedge already said

Last time it took a little over a month. It may take more, less, or about the same amount of time. The editors are unpaid volunteers with lives in several different time zones and cannot sit down and judge drafts 24-7. We also don't know the amount of entries (my impression was that there were quite a few, especially considering people couldn't submit multiple entries.) You're going to have to sit and wait.

Man, this is getting tempting, but... I will just wait to submit as a plain old issue. ^^;

But the judging process does not mean we are closed to regular submissions. Regular submissions are still being assessed.

Of course, the usual statements that there is no way to say how long it will take for an editor to pick up an issue to edit (if an issue is accepted to potentially be edited) still apply, as at any other time.

I don't think so. That said, I'm not staff so take what I say with a hand full of salt.

Also, I can't remember - hope someone a bajillion times more knowledgeable than me can clarify this - does your nation get credit for issues if they're added while said nation has CTE'd? I imagine so, but in the freak event of severe code limitation or something, might be best to keep your nation in vacation mode just to be safe.

The news post will be up for eternity, so it's not like you have to worry about that. I have no idea how much time the IEs have to wait if they are interested in trialing you.

We don't have a specific waiting period. It's just however long it takes us to make up our minds and get the trial set up.

The Sixth Issues Contest has ended. The Issues Editors of NationStates have sat down, and after many years of glacial proceedings, they have suddenly managed to produce a list of 10 winning issues that they thought were the best (in alphabetical order by author):

We are glad to have many new drafts that we can edit and add to the game; just because your issue did not win does not mean that it doesn't have a chance of being chosen for publication by an editor later. Of course, it is only the winning submissions that are definitely guaranteed to be added to the game and soonest. Congratulations to the winners for their excellent issues! We hope to see such great quality next year.

Congratulations to all the winners, I'm really happy for them all and I am looking forward to answering their issues! And I hope that many of those whose issues didn't end up in the top 10 will still continue to write and produce drafts! There was a lot of writing talent from what I saw

Also a big thank you to the editors for organising and holding the event, it was a blast!
