I just got GTA 5 for the single player stuff.
new Dead Game News
Single player mode was a blast! I'm rarely a fan of shooters but GTA 5 was kind of different from the rest as it wasn't completely focused on combat. The story was actually GOOD, which is the thing I care the most about. That and the cars, so many customization options.
I didn't know GTA online had microtransactions? I'm quite surprised of how many countries banned this game too.

IIRC, it would take you hundreds (Maybe even thousands) of hours to get 1/2 of the gear in GTAO, compared to minutes if you get that stuff through buying it.
So yes, there are several microtransactions.

I remember Geoff Ramsey on a Funhaus video once saying something about how "GTA is a great game to play if you have a thousand bucks to spend on it, and a great game to watch if you don't" or something along those lines.
I've only ever bought one card and just wait for special events and free twitch prime money, because it is just such a grind if you're a solo player otherwise.

It wasn't nearly as bad as how Mass Effect 3 gave me depression for like a couple months (no joke) but it still hit hard. I got the High Priestess ending where I decided to trust Hanako to deal with Arasaka and decided to kill Adam. Takemura did not survive my playthrough. When V was taken to the space station and had to say goodbye to Johnny and call all of her 'chooms' down below it really crushed my heart because right afterward V was only given 6 months to live. Especially River, who was my character's love interest.
I had V uploaded to the engram as my final decision, but that was seriously messed up, technically it didn't save V, just made a copy of her. I'm not sure if it's just me but I get seriously attached to video game character for no apparent reason and it often leads to my emotional downfall.

It can be cathartic to play the other endings, as I feel that they are much more upbeat than the one you chose. In fact I can definitively say that it's by far the worst one to choose in terms of positivity. All the endings have bad points to them, but the one that you went for has, by far, the most shit. I would recommend that you try the Nomad ending next, and then go for Johnny's preferred option. In both instances:Let V have his/her body back. Johnny can go live in cyberspace. It's what Johnny wants after all.
There is also a secret ending that is by far the best of all the endings, but you need to have a save from before you go with Johnny to the oilfields to the north, as you need to pick some very precise options during that encounter to have the secret ending be an option. I would actually regard the secret ending as the canon ending.
But I'm the same when a game ends, I feel post-game separation depression too. You get invested in the characters, and when the game ends then it feels almost like a loss of some sort.

I honestly believe that is the worst ending to the game. The Arasaka situation isn't even resolved in that ending, making the entire story of V have no actual purpose other than being a tool for different Mafias while slowly withering away in the mind.
