So, with Twitter permanently banning Trump, are we allowed to celebrate or would that constitute as gloating?

The news said it was the same bile as on his personal account. Personal account? Sure; bile away. An account of the President? Nope. Sorry.

On that note; the daily show congratulated the Be Best campaign for finally accomplishing something. :D

I don't care if it was the same bile, it's an official government account and it is the top political officeholder communicating through it. The authority of the state takes precedence here and no private entity should be able to control communications between the government and the rest of the population in such a manner. I understand people hate Trump, he's an absolutely horrific person, but he's at the moment still officially the President and opening very dangerous doors simply out of blind hate is not worth the cost, especially with such a short period of time left in office.

The only thing that constrains the federal government is the Constitution, not Jack Dorsey.

I now know how doctors arguing smoking leads to lung cancer feel like when someone tells them "but my family member smoked and lived to 90!"

Not the point. You said third parties never win well I gave you an example of won. A second candidate from the party lost in the same state by only 39 votes.

I'm sure if he posts nicely he can do so, the fact he continues to push the false election narrative is why the posts are removed. I don't see the account as closed exactly, just his posts are removed because they have been shown to incite sedition. Pretty clear that despite his little speech yesterday he doesn't regret shit and still sees himself as a victim.

Would you be happy if your politician of choice were suddenly cut off from the major way people talk to one another nowadays? (Don't think it won't happen, unless you're in perfect lockstep with the whims of the silicon valley elite) Would you be happy if there was therefore a chilling effect on even tangentially related politics?

Also sidenote lol but you think ppl are going round reading books in this day and age? May as well carve your manifesto onto a rock and expect people to walk past and read it

You presented two cases in which the norm didn't occur. I related that to the problem of lung cancer and smoking. If you're not fond of that comparison, I can give you another one with Darjeeling and staying awake?

It isn't a dodge, it's a direct counterpoint. He's saying that just because one or two do manage to get elected doesn't make it statistically more possible to do so, nor does it mean that our electoral system is any more representative of the people just because of a few data outliers.
